  1. Pastor Josh here.

  2. I would like to give you a preview of our Sunday morning service

  3. on December 22nd here at Middletown Baptist Church.

  4. For the month of December, we've been celebrating the gifts

  5. of God.

  6. The number one gift that we are excited about is the gift of

  7. salvation.

  8. But what we're going to be studying for the next two weeks here

  9. at Middletown Baptist Church is the idea of God gifting us opportunities

  10. to serve within our lives.

  11. And so these are seen through the supernatural gifts that God gives

  12. us called the spiritual gifts.

  13. And we're specifically going to be talking about those gifts seen

  14. in Romans chapter 12.

    Romans 12 chapter mention

  15. We call these the ministering gifts or the service gifts.

  16. In Romans chapter 12.

    Romans 12 chapter mention

  17. It tells us that there is an opportunity for all believers to

  18. receive this gift of God.

  19. And it says that it's given by God's grace.

  20. It's given according to God's will in our life, and we are all

  21. part of the body, but we are different in our jobs as believers

  22. within that body.

  23. And so we're going to be studying this week what it means

  24. to have a gift.

  25. And then number two, what does it mean for us to have a specific

  26. gift and use that within the midst of our Christian life here

  27. in the time that God gives us?

  28. And so I encourage you to listen to the podcast on Monday morning

  29. or you can visit us in person on December 22nd here at 10:30 at

  30. our church, or you can follow along on YouTube or Facebook.

  31. But we are excited to talk about the gifts that God gives us

  32. and also the way that we can give gifts back to him and give gifts

  33. to others around us.

  34. And so the Bible speaks of it's better to give than receive.

  35. And so as God has gifted us these gifts, First Peter, chapter

  36. four tells us that we are to turn around and serve other people.

  37. This is all about exalting the name of Jesus Christ, furthering

  38. the truth of the gospel.

  39. So we'd love to see you.

  40. We wish you and your family a merry Christmas, and we look forward

  41. to continuing to bring forth the truth to you in 2025.

  42. God bless you.

  43. Have a wonderful weekend.

  44. We will see you soon.
