Pastor Josh Here.
-
I would like to give you a preview of our Sunday morning service
-
here at Middletown Baptist Church on March 23rd.
-
We're going to be continuing our study here in Second Corinthians,
-
and we're going to be in Second Corinthians, chapter 12.
2 Corinthians 12 chapter mention
-
And here this week, we're going to be looking at Paul's concern
-
for the church at Corinth.
-
But it's more than just concern in a negative way.
-
It's what we would call compassionate concern.
-
Paul is full of compassion for the church at Corinth, and his desire
-
is to help them in their spiritual growth.
-
And I think there's a lot of things that we can learn about here
-
with Paul and his desire to have compassion for others and specifically
-
those of the household of faith.
-
And so come this week and you'll hear about Paul's compassionate
-
concern.
-
And maybe we can learn in the Word of God how we can have some
-
concern and compassion for those around us and drive people
-
to grow in the Lord and to demonstrate our compassion.
-
And we're going to look at some of the ways that compassion
-
is demonstrated.
-
Paul is compassionate and demonstrates that through selfless
-
service, he's compassionate and demonstrates that compassion
-
through truthful teaching, through exhortation and through discipleship.
-
And we're going to look at all those categories here this week.
-
So if you're able to be with us in person, that would be fantastic
-
here at Middletown Baptist Church at 10:30.
-
If not, you can live stream it on YouTube and Facebook and we will
-
repost it on our podcast channel here on Monday morning.
-
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
-
Looking forward to hearing from you, seeing you, and hopefully
-
God continues to grow you in your love for him.
-
So we will talk to you soon.
-
God bless.
