Let's appreciate one another for coming to the house of the lord.

It's marvelous to be the house of the lord.

Okay, let's have our seat.

Thank you, worship team, for leading us well, the bad, our media, as you project the program.

Thank you, thank you.

Thank you, thank you for this and for those who are joining us online.

We love you and we are glad that we have another opportunity to hear the word of god.

Amen.

So good evening, praise god.

Indeed, it's another beautiful Wednesday that the lord has given unto us, being the last Wednesday of the month of September, and I think we are blessed in our souls and in our spirit, isn't it Nine being the the number of?

And, as I was reflecting, and thank you for leading us well in the area of giving the empowered relationships and our ministry.

When I was just praying for this, this text came to me and that's what I actually have in mind.

It's a story that I remember.

You are sincere and unqualified faith, that is, the surrendering of your entire self to god in Christ, with confident trust in his power, wisdom and goodness of faith, which first lived in the heart of your grandmother, louise, and your mother, eunice, and I am confident that it is in you as well.

Amen, that this about the future of our lives today.

It's carried long from generation to generation to where we are into today and, as I was praying or saying, may this not never add to our.

With us, may we also be trustworthy, that we be able to to share.

Is the upcoming generation to share the same with our children, that at any given time in our history of our life, in our lineage, that they will not arise, a generation that will not arise in our history of our life?

The chapter two of us ten.

Maybe media can give us that, and I wanted us before, even when you dive into the teaching of today, first of all to take a minute and pray.

From where we are coming from, maybe some of us, you are the very first born in your, in your, in faith.

Maybe the worship media team you can give us Judges chapter two, verse 10 to 15.

Yes, this is after the death of the dead.

A whole generation had been gathered to the ancestors.

Another generation grew up who knew neither the Lord nor what he had done for Israel.

Then the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord and served the Baal.

They forsook the Lord, the God of the ancestors who had brought them out of Egypt.

They followed and worshiped various courts of their peoples around them.

They allow the Lord's anger.

May there never be a man in our family that will arise to anger the spirit of the Lord.

Amen, that will remain faithful to teach and uh, uh, harmonious spring, uh, he was praying.

He talked about, uh, titus, chapter two, that indeed, as women and men in our family, we will teach this to our family and we will declare that in every generation that will come after us there will be a family.

There will be a generation that will always know that.

Just take a minute and pray from the generation you are coming from, the family that you come along from Pray that may there be no other generation.

May that you be faithful enough to teach this, to share the love of God to your children and their children and children.

After that, as it is from noise, your grandmother to your mother, eunice to you.

Now, timothy, may you see, in my marriage there will be no separation.

In my marriage Don't only be about me, even the that are coming, my children there will be no cases like separation.

You say that they will not be dead us, even if it is a business that you have started, it's not.

It will not add with you.

It will go from generation to another generation that your children will come to inherit what you started.

May you believe into that.

As you take one minute to pray, may you say that you teach like Abraham taught his brothers, like Louis taught Eunice, eunice now taking over teaching it to Timothy, as Paul will teach all to his, to all his his children.

May we also be the same.

Take a minute, say something to God.

Say in my family, where I come from, in my business, in my marriage, in my career, that it will not have had with me.

It will go from one generation to another and God will help us to be faithful for his glory.

Father, we know that we just exist.

This is where we are coming from.

Which of a king of glory.

In our midst there are those who are even first born in terms of this faith.

Which of a king of glory, and as a family of faith, we commit and we allow them with your love, o dear Lord, that they will be able to carry on this faith even to the next, up to the fourth generation of our father.

We are praying for that, because we are here listening to your word, o king of glory.

There will be no family, there will be no family, there will be no family.

Who will?

Who will say they didn't know about you, o king of glory, that we will always live to teach this in our, in our homes, in our, in our cars, as we walk on the streets, wherever you shall give us possible, father, we will be able to teach this to the generation, o dear Lord.

Father, we worship, we pray that even our marriage, our relationship, o dear Lord, that it father, even the children who are coming after the generation, after us, father, there will be no separation, there will be no divorce, there will be no.

This thing we are going to do.

We call to the word that you have been taught on this pulpit, o dear Lord and Father, they will live to testify.

Yes, our great grad parents lived and believed into this.

They will never be skewed by the systems of the evil of the world, o Father.

Therefore, father, we worship you and we praise you, thank you for this relationship that you started way through your son, jesus Christ.

We thank God for for the opportunity to share into his word.

I felt I needed to do that, to share that before even we, we dive into the text of the of this evening and I thank God, so I'm grateful.

This very month, god has been faithful, we've been faithful to you and we have been grateful to you.

God has happened to you and, as I was thinking about empowered relationship and our ministry, and I know a lot has been taught on this pulpit, both on when is the services and Saudi services, and I know now, if I was to give this mic to one of you, you can be able to teach more about empowered relationship, isn't it?

There's something that has been deposited in you that it it was an opportunity for you to share with us, isn't it?

And I believe now being the last one is there and I think, being the last to share about this, this topic, empowered relationship.

When I was reflecting about it, I felt which area should I dive more and where does the relationship starts from?

From the biblical context point of view, the relation started from our father, our father in heaven, and the father and the son, jesus, and what he did when he was here, and I felt it would be important for us to to dive, where possible if time allows, on this topic and empowered father-son relationship.

Father son relationship.

Most of the time when you are reflecting and reflecting about the father, our father in heaven, what comes very quick into our minds is that we are not there with our other father and most of the time, our fathers were not that very good.

Some were absent, some were there, they were not there and sometimes, when you hear the word father, that's what comes to mind.

Maybe your father was limited and they yearn for sure in many ways.

Maybe you needed to go to this school, maybe you needed this toy they were not able to afford to you and maybe that's the picture that you have about the father in heaven.

Maybe that's the picture that comes very quick into your mind and so, as we look about the father son relationship, we'll be able to understand how we relate even to our heavenly father, even if you had a very good father who was available, who had everything that you needed.

Our father in heaven is above that.

The worship team has led us to the mountain and the valley.

He is the one who created the mountain and the valley.

So when we are down there, he's the same God.

When we are on top of the mountain, he's through the same God of the mountain.

Amen.

And so our text today comes from the book of John, chapter five, from verse sixteen to twenty nine.

John, chapter five, verse sixteen to twenty nine, and I read a NIV says so.

Because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jews, the Jewish leaders, began to persecute him.

In his defense, jesus said to them my father is always at his work.

To this very time.

He's always working.

For this reason, they tried all the more to kill him.

Not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling, calling God, his own father, making himself equal, making himself equal to him.

Jesus gave them making sorry, making himself equal with God.

Jesus gave them his answer, this answer, very truly, I tell you the son can do nothing by himself.

He cannot really do anything.

The father does.

The son also does, for the father loves the son and shows him all he does, yes, and he will show him even greater words than this, so that you will be amazed.

For just as the father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the son gives lives to whom he is priest to give it.

Moreover, the father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the son.

That all male honor.

The son does not honor the father who sent him.

Very truly, I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him, who sent me, has eternal life and I will not, will not be judged, but has crossed over from death to life.

Very truly, I tell you, a time is coming, and has now come, when the dead will hear the voice of the son of God and those who hear will live for as long as the son of God is granted.

The son also to have life in himself, a twenty seven, and he has given him authority to judge because he's the son of man.

Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming, is coming, when all who are in their graves will hear this voice, verse twenty nine, and they will rise to be condemned.

Amen.

May we pray, heavenly brothers and sisters, may we pray and ask for your light and understanding to the simple and King of Glory.

I submit myself to your authority through your Holy Spirit.

Father, use me as a willing vessel in what you wanted me to communicate this very evening, this very day, the twenty-seven, the September twenty twenty-three, the very last Wednesday of the man, the King of Glory.

Use me as your vessel what you want from these people to hear All of you of, so that your word may dwell in them and you bring light and understanding of King of Glory.

We thank you for this Father who brought us over King of Glory, and therefore we sit fervently to hear from you how we worship you, how we praise you in Jesus name.

We pray, amen and amen.

So as I reflected on that text.

I really felt it's good to understand about a father and a son relationship and, as I always say, my summons are always very I want.

I usually ask bring it home.

How was that relationship with your father, if, by chance, you had one?

And when I say about father, think about even mother, mother and son or mother and daughter relationship.

How was it?

Is it something worth to write about?

What is that that you can remember?

So, as we continue, continue reflecting about it, does it actually help you to relate about this God we call our Father, who is in heaven?

Does it conflict with you?

The truth is, none of us had a perfect father.

Even the best dads in the world mess up, but our heavenly father will never make a mistake or fail us, even if it feels so.

Sometimes, particularly when you are believed, your things are not working.

Maybe they are auctioneer, maybe you are in debt.

You feel like where is this God?

Where is this father you call?

You say that he owns a thousand hills.

What is the word of Keto?

Where is he?

Sometimes it feels like he is very far, but I will tell you he is above par.

He is above par and therefore our relationship with our heavenly father will always outshine, even the best relationship with another father.

Amen, the guidance of how your relationship with your heavenly father will always outshine that.

So, even as we share this, as we reflect about this, may we know that we are serving a God, we are relating with a God, with a father who never fails us, who never forsakes us.

He is always there on our case, amen.

And therefore, as we continue, may we know and I was reflecting about the relationship that we usually have and any relationship you think about, it's drawn from the relationship of a father and a son.

If you are to define any relationship, it gets its meaning and originality from the relationship between the father and the son and therefore relationship refers to the connection between as I was trying to see the trying to define this connection between two or more people, either characterized by a mutual understanding, respect, trust and emotions such as love, that is, by particular, the marriage.

Then we have friendship, a relationship and we have loyalty based on maybe in the business world, this includes the ways individual interact with each other, communicate, share common interests and support each other through challenges, and therefore relationship can be a romantic, can be family-based, can be platonic or professional and they pray a vital role in shaping a person's sense of belonging, that is, self-worth and emotional well-being.

And so, as we talk about relationship and I know a lot has been said on the pulpit, so, as I said, since the man started on this theme, there are different levels of relationship.

You may be thinking about maybe a relationship between your both, how it related from a professional point of view.

Maybe a relationship between your spouse as a married couple.

Maybe a relationship between siblings, just because it's your brother.

Regardless of how they do, how they look, they still remain to be your brother.

You find yourself maybe sometimes visiting a brother in prison or in hospital just because that is my brother or my sister.

You relate that to it, regardless of where they are.

That's the connection that you have.

Sometimes, even in workplaces, you find the relationship you have between the both and the staff the supervisor, is not that sweet.

So my wife is not for each or both.

It's not for the mandiris.

I don't know how you can relate to this character, isn't it?

There's a relationship.

I'm an imi too, but in our work or our family I think our work is a side-dead the relationship that you usually have and you'll be able to do a lot of wisdom from this text and hope time will allow to do so.

All this, and, as I said, in a relationship, regardless of how you try to define it, it draws its originality and meaning from the Son and the Father in heaven.

In Hebrews, chapter 8, verse 5, we were able to see even Moses, how he was being.

Hebrews 8:5

But the tent where they serve Hebrews, chapter 8, verse 5, but the tent where they serve is just a copy and a shadow of the little one in heaven.

Hebrews 8:5

Before Moses made the tent, he was told be sure to make it exactly like the pattern you were shown on the mountain.

And so any relationship you may think about comes from heaven.

It is drawn from the Father and the Son relationship.

As we call ourselves Father and I know we have several fathers here.

I'm a father of four.

I can't pride myself on the origin, no, either.

This is what I have borrowed from what I saw from my father, from my grandfather, now from the Word of God is what I'm drawing from it.

And so anything that you think, any relationship you think about it, it draws from originality and genuine, from the Word of God and from relationship between God and the Son.

So why, and the reason why some of the Christians struggle to call God the Father and I know some may be feeling this because when you reflect about the Father whom you have seen, you're like where did he come from, where did he abound on us, where did he abuse me?

And that Word of God, you cannot be able to call it with another person and say you are my father.

I don't know where our position may be coming from.

You may call him another, you may call him the Lord, my Lord, because the Word of God, Father, brings a very bad memory Some of you, brings a very sweet memory.

Some of you.

After this, you will be calling your father, you are taught about your father and I am here to light.

Some of you have never even communicated to this father and you know your father may be somewhere you can't even imagine calling or talking with him.

Maybe you saw him when you were already an adult and you are shown in a multitude, maybe in a wedding or in a function.

You know you see that tall guy, short guy.

That's your father.

Maybe that's how you were introduced to your father.

Some of you maybe when your mom said we are expecting a baby.

Maybe at that juncture your father said no, I don't want another baby.

It is your own deal, even before you came to be.

And over time, even now in adult, you have realized you have a tainted relationship with men because actually the one who was supposed to embrace you and to own you denied you even before you came to be.

And sometimes you fight you only fight favor with the opposite gender and you don't know where it came from.

Maybe someone, maybe your father, who was supposed to own you and to welcome you to the world, denied you.

And, as I say, none of us had a perfect father.

Some may have dealt their father's figures who failed us, some were absent or you are very aloof, others were outright abusive and cruel.

I don't know.

But for believers with this experience, we are calling God our father, our heavenly father, who never fails us, who never forsakes us, and therefore we may never cause any hesitation and we are saying, within any negative association that we have with our other father, may it not conflict with our heavenly father, any negative aspect towards our other father, and may God bring us to a point where we can even be able to heal, forgive and even sit down at our daddy.

I know the life was not that easy, I know that the things has happened, but from where I sit and start, god helping me, god helping my spirit, I am here to tell you.

I forgive you, I may be who I've been living with this bitterness because of what we went through with your father and you find that relation, because of that tainted relationship with your father, even when it comes to marriage relationship, you are still struggling with it Because you can't understand this person now being a father to another child because of the baggage you are carrying along.

Tonight I'm saying may it come to a net, as we come to a net of this month of September.

May the relationship between our fathers those are already tainted.

May you have a courage to write a letter.

May you have a courage to write a text.

Daddy, I know what went through, but I forgive you, daddy.

Can we have coffee?

Daddy, I want to come and see you.

And may relationships be healed and from that anger because of that relation being healed between a father and a son, between a father and a daughter, you'll be able to see other relationships that you have been struggling with, be it with your boss, be it with your colleagues, be it with your spouse, you start healing and getting repaired Because the father, the relationship you are talking about, draws the originality and meaning from the father and son.

And for this son I say son, I say even daughter, and I say about father, I say even mom.

They are mom who are playing the role of a father in our modern society.

So, if this is your experience, remember that while calling God father, it's a privilege, it's not a command.

Your relationship with God doesn't change, regardless of whether you address him as a father or simply Lord.

As I say Daria, god no more stops being your creator and provider.

He will never stop to be our creator and our provider.

He will never stop.

Whether you call him Lord or father, he still embraces you, just like the prodigal son and his father.

After he's codered whatever he's codered, when he came back to his senses and went back home, his father embraced him.

That's who our father in heaven is.

He doesn't judge us and we read and we'll be able to see more.

He doesn't judge us at all.

He embraces us as we are.

Some of you is the relationship you have with your spiritual father where you are coming and some of you may be learning, maybe you in this church, because maybe you are learning away from your previous spiritual father and you are seated here.

You are learning now that pastor, that bishop I don't know what he did to me and you don't know how to progress you are just seated here and you are learning.

What do I do?

If that is your spiritual father, you need to have a reconciliation with him.

You have to have a reconciliation with him and we'll be able to look if time allows.

It's a huge topic and I think we had more time.

As long as the title you choose is acceptable to God, you are now no obligation to use the time.

Father, if the time brings more pain food to you, the position of our father is not by title, it's not just, it's not a position, it's a relational being.

A father is God who have chosen us.

For those who are fathers in the house, it's a privilege.

Actually.

God have chosen you to become a steward, to raise others, to direct others, to guide others, and so may you count it as a privilege if there are others who are looking upon you.

That's relational, it's a relational.

It's not just a position, it's a relational.

And so a father knows what the son or what the daughter is going through.

A father needs to look at his son and say there's something wrong with you.

That's a true father.

That's a true father.

But we are in a time, and I know, in the African context.

In the African context there are so many baggage, if I'd even children inheriting bad ends and baggage from their fathers.

Young men, when they are getting married, literally they don't know.

They say, daddy, I want to get married, and they say, no, you know, I didn't even pay dowry for your mom, so you have to first of all pay the dowry for your mom, and you're like what?

And they fight themselves into that.

That's the African context, isn't it?

But what does the Bible say about a father?

A father, and from that point of view, now they see the sunset hitting the dad.

How could you do have done this?

And because, particularly those who grew up our fathers, like my dad, when they were young it was during the emergency time, so when they were growing up it was during war.

There was no love.

They grew up during when things were thick and hot.

Actually, they were in villages.

Some of them never saw even their parents because their parents were fighting in the forest and so they don't have love.

And I remember myself growing up.

We hear dad and everyone was scattered to their room.

Today, when I walk home, my young kids will come learning to ask me.

But when I was growing up, my father, I would see my dad with a hood or we hear him the keys.

We do what was cut into different into our rooms.

That's the relationship we had with our father.

So a father is not a position, it's a relational.

A true, spatial father will help his son discern the voice of God.

In the Proverbs 13, 22 says the son will mature and become responsible in God's house.

Our maturity and development lies in the hearts of our tutors and it comes by our transmission and relationship.

Even as I start here as a son of this ministry, having observed, having sat at the tutorage of Reverend Dobros, reverend Simon and I appreciate them in absentia here, I learned, I sat down, they would rebuke me, they would direct me, they would tell me this and this.

And I have first of all to understand I am a son To date, I am a son of their ministry and therefore there are three things that we look upon about what it is the father and son relationship.

One first of all, we need to understand the assignment and work.

The second is that the son only does what he sees the father do or mimics what the father do, and that is that the father and the son's gives life.

Those are the three lessons I drew from that text Understanding the father, the son and the assignment and work.

That is verse 16 and verse 18 of the text that we read.

16 and 18, it says and this was why the Jews persecuted him, because he did this on the Sabbath.

What was he doing?

He was healing.

He understood the work.

Verse 17 says but Jesus answered them my father is working still and I am working.

In Matthew 21, verse 33, if you can give us Matthew 21, 23,.

Matthew 21:33

Listen to another parable.

There was a lad owner who planted vineyard.

He put a wall around it, dug a wine place in it and built a watchtower.

Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place.

When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit.

The tenant says his servants.

They beat one, killed another and stoned another.

Then he sent other servants to them more than the first time and the tenants treated them the same way.

Last of all, he sent his son to them.

They respect my son, he said.

But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other this is the heiress, come, let's kill him and take his inheritance.

So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.

Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?

He will bring those wretches to a wretched head, they replied, and he will rent the vineyard to another tenant who will give him his share of the crop at harvest time.

Jesus said to them have you never learned in the Scriptures?

The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

The Lord has done this and it is marvelous in our eyes.

Therefore, I will tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit, and anyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces.

Anyone who falls will be clashed Understanding the assignment and work as a son.

What is that your father wants you to do?

Remember, jesus came and he came.

The father didn't say I sent my son down there.

Here we learned that he was working with him, they were working together and therefore, even for us, as we did it, as you work together in a relationship that you are as a couple, as a spouse, in terms of a relationship that you are working together, it's not this one doing this one and that one doing that one.

You are working together, you are co-working with each other, and that was Jesus and the father and the son were doing.

They co-work together.

If it's the healing ministry, it's not Jesus alone healing.

His father is on board.

If it's raising the dead, it's the father and the son.

They co-work together.

The same way, in a working relationship, in a work for both and a servant, you are co-working together.

The both gives an assignment, do a BCD, and when he comes, he looks why didn't you do this?

It's not because the both cannot be able to do it.

He has the ability to do it.

And so you are supposed to have a co-working relationship together.

You co-work together.

So I just had the assignment and I just had the work.

The second item is that the son only does what he sees the father do, and that we read from verse 20 of John 21, of John chapter, the text that we read in John chapter 5, verse 20,.

John 5:20

It says, for the father loves the son and shows him all that he himself is doing, and greater works than this.

Will he show him that?

You may marvel that.

You be amazed, and most of you today.

If you look how you read it, how you drive, how you do your things, particularly men you'll be able to see yourself.

You'll be able to see your father in you.

I remember one time we used to drive a lot with my old man from Karatina coming to this, and when we get to Makutano, the Keno, makutano, that's when we get to the dual courage and I remember he'll say oh, now you have said we race.

That's the message you always say.

And so from Keno, all the way to Nairobi, to be racey, and I would enjoy and I would overtake this and overtake this.

It's only the Miravir, because I think they would overtake us.

And to date, now I'm of age, when I'm driving from Makutano to now it's a super highway.

Now, all the way to Marua, it's now more easier.

Those who come from that region, you understand, and I see myself, I see my dad, just the way I saw him do.

Sometimes we drove with him.

I said, hey, I see who gets closer to my driving skills.

I said, ah, good, good, I'm a good student and I know some of us even the way we did it in our marriage, the way we dress there's something we drew.

The way we cook women is what you learn from your mom, isn't it?

Yeah, there's so much we draw by what we mimic.

We mimic what we saw or what we saw from our parents or from our guardians.

I had a photo today and I think I don't know, media, whether they got this I was preparing this my young girl.

She's aged, she'll be turning three, I think, next month so she has been observing me how I do things, how I prepare myself.

So every time now I'm dressed, now, the next thing she always knows that is I'm supposed to take to pick my shoes.

Today she picked one of my pair of shoes and started blushing it with a black color and I said, oh my goodness, look what she is doing, just what I'm preparing this very day.

And I wish media I don't know whether you got that photo it was a great photo that I saw there.

It could have made an evening for us in terms of how children mimic.

Children actually learn by observation, not by listening, by observation, and the same to us.

When you sit there, you're asking what will happen, and many times actually, when I sit up there, I was saying that message that Pastor Abros is releasing today.

If I was to be given an opportunity, this how I'll tweak it, this how I'll share, these are the examples I'll give about my life.

I didn't know how the future looked like, but I could see that I could try to mimic and I'll say, if I get an opportunity, this how I'll do it.

God in His only wisdom and humor.

Here I am, and some of you the same way.

Today, you see, when I get an opportunity to have my own business, this how I'll treat my staff, because maybe you have seen how your boss treats you guys, isn't it?

And soon, and very soon, you start to have your own business.

You apply the same.

Some of you is in marriage.

You observe a couple.

You see how they relate.

You say, wow, when I get there, I'll have this scheme, I'll be the same.

See what happens there after Pastor Idiv.

Now we mimic, we learn by mimicking.

We are the children of God.

We mimic each other, we mimic each other and therefore the son only does what he sees his father does.

The third one is that the father and the sons gives life, that is, the ability to give the son and the father.

The first one was that we had assigned the assignment, since we have the ability to do and deciding the assignment of the work for the ability to do, and when the son only does what he sees the father do.

That is the ability to watch, the ability to see you mimic what you have been, what is being said, and since you see even some of the pastors, for example.

You see, because you can be able to tell who was their spiritual father, either the way they dress, the way they speak, either with goons, or is it goons, or what do you call it?

You can be able to tell who was their spiritual father.

Okay, and so sometimes, when you see someone behaving or acting, someone asks who is their father, who is their father, some of you, even the dress code you have is because maybe you are both impacted, you big time.

You had to go into the gym with a suit and a tie because you learn how to dress.

Well, I don't know, we only learn by seeing what the father does and therefore our relationship.

May we know we can only do what the father does.

We can only do what the father does.
