Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another episode of Commission Thursday Music.
-
I just wanted to sit down, ponda, and think about this.
-
Have you ever been in a situation whereby you find something tend to rob life out of you?
-
Then, all of a sudden, are you finding that freedom?
-
Or have you ever struggled with addiction of any kind?
-
Then, all of a sudden, you find that freedom.
-
The things that you've been conquering, the things you've been battling, you have the freedom and you can conquer.
-
Are these the same situations David found himself?
-
In the book of Psalms, chapter 124, verse 6, says Blessed be the Lord who has not given us a spray to be turned by the earth.
-
We have escaped, like a bird from the snare of the foal.
-
The trap is broken and we have escaped.
-
Our help is in the name of the Lord who made heaven and earth or place Jesus.
-
As I was thinking about this, the first thing that David does, he blesses the Lord, because any time you find something tend to fight you, something tend to rob life out of you.
-
Then, all of a sudden, you've conquered.
-
You will go back to those people who've rescued you, those people who've saved you, and you'll be so grateful and you will really appreciate them.
-
And this is the same story that we have as Christians, because at one point in life we were all struggling.
-
In one point of life we were all in cage, in the snares of sin, and the sin had intended to complete our, to destroy our entire life.
-
But Jesus came through for us and he rescued us, he delivered us and he gave us a new name, new title and gave us a new path of life.
-
The best thing we can do is to go back and begin to praise him.
-
And it's so unfortunate that, after understanding that Jesus Christ came, delivered and rescued us, we still go back and tell our history, and we don't mind to tell.
-
We are not sensitive to tell people about his story.
-
So, apart from telling our history of what God did for us, we are supposed to tell his story, jesus' story of what he has done for us.
-
Because I can tell you one thing for Siwa, that everybody in the community who is battling one addiction or another, they are looking for somebody to connect with.
-
In the community, in the market place.
-
We are all looking for somewhere we can connect with, a place we can be embraced, a place where people can take us for who we are and you are the light of the world.
-
You are the salt.
-
God has given you the grace that you need, and he has blessed you to do that particular assignment.
-
Are you able to step out of your comfort zone?
-
Look for the opportunity to create that community where people can feel the presence of God, the love of God, so that you can be extension of heaven here on earth.
-
Be blessed.
