-
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another episode of Commission Thursday.
-
I turn within the look of Psalms, chapter 27, verse 11.
-
The scripture says Teach me you are way, o Lord, and lead me on a level path because of my enemies who lie in wage.
-
I know many other times when you hear the word enemy, we look on the people who are always there fighting us.
-
But sometimes I want us to look at this concept of the word enemy in the context of the assignment that God has bestowed upon us.
-
We live in a very critical moment when we are aware that we have a lot of things that surround us.
-
I know there are social media that are craving for our attention.
-
We have friends and family.
-
We always want to fit in and many other times, when we talk about the kingdom assignment, we think this is another burden that God has placed on us so that we for us not to be effective in the things that we are doing.
-
But look at the cry of David.
-
David is saying Lord, teach me.
-
And I don't know if you have the kind of spirit, like that of David, that David will humble himself and ask Lord, may you teach me.
-
Many other times we are seeking for information, we are seeking for knowledge, but we are not seeking the right knowledge.
-
David knew that I don't need to Google for me to get the right information, but I need to go in the secret place where God can teach me on how I can live a life that is full of impact.
-
Then David said teach me your way, because for us to be effective and to have an impact in this life, we must understand the ways of God, we must understand the principles of God, we must understand the virtues of God.
-
And this is what David was crying for.
-
That Lord, teach me your ways, because the moment we are able to understand the ways of the Lord, we are able to maneuver in the things of this world.
-
Then he says Lord, after you teach me, then I will give you an opportunity so that you can lead me.
-
It's unfortunate that some of us yes, we have time, we seek him, but we don't allow him to need us, we don't allow him to be the Lord of our lives, we don't allow him to take the charge of everything that we have.
-
And David said that, lord, after I've sought after you and after you've taught me, now lead me into the level way.
-
And the moment you begin to allow God to lead you.
-
There are several things that will be so automatic, because when God leads you, you begin to know his ways, and when you know the ways of God, you begin to have the heart beat of God.
-
So you will value the opportunities that God will present your way in.
-
You will live a life that only pleases him.
-
And one of the things that God desires of us is so that we can go in the world and make disciples Is that the kingdom of God can be revealed in everything that we do, and that is the way of the Lord that the people in our areas of influence, our family members, the people in our community, are able to grasp the reality of what God wants of us.
-
And this is my challenge to you, as we have a lot of enemies who surround us today, trying to rob for our attention.
-
Which role are you playing to ensure that this generation is aligned to the perfect will of God?
-
The place that God has planted is a leader.
-
Are you leading your people into the ways of the Lord In your family?
-
Are you raising them to have the Godly values in everything we do?
-
Because this is the only assignment that we have that the entire creation will come to a door and to respect him as the sovereign God.
-
So this week, may God bless you as you align people to live a life that glorifies him.
-
Be blessed.
