-
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another episode of Commission Thursday, where we believe that every believer is a light, every believer is a salt, every believer is Christ ambassador and every believer is a carrier of the message of good news.
-
So turn with me in the book of Hebrew, chapter 12, verse 1 and 2.
-
I'll read from the amplified version the scripture says Therefore since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses who, by faith, have testified of the truth, of God's absolute faithfulness, stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and clearly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us, looking away from all that which distract us, focusing on our eyes on Jesus, who is the author and perfecter of faith, the first incentive for our belief, and the one who brings our faith to maturity.
-
Who, for the joy of accomplishing the goal set before him and due us the cross, disregarding the shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God, revealing his dutton, his authority and the completion of his work.
-
So three things that I want you to consider.
-
Number one you must be firm on faith, one thing that made Jesus Christ to be so established and to have influence, even the disciples, is the fact that they were grounded on their faith.
-
They believed in what they believed Some of us, we say that we are Christian but we are not willing to go and not hire to stand for the faith that we profess.
-
And this one of the things that made the disciples and the early Christians to stand out they were grounded, they were firm and they did not allow anything to shake them.
-
They did not allow anything to challenge them.
-
They did not allow the things that surround them to make them compromise on the calling that they first received.
-
So they were firm on their faith.
-
Number two they focused on Jesus Christ.
-
I know we live in a dispensation and a time that we allow other things to distract us, and we are learning from this portion of scripture that we should never allow anything to distract us from the assignment.
-
But we need to fix our eyes on Jesus Christ, who is the author and perfecter of our faith.
-
So if you want to be effective in the marketplace, if you want to be an effective leader, if you want to be an effective manager, you must remain and be focused on Jesus Christ.
-
Number three they were faithful on the assignment, each and every one of us here.
-
There is assignment that is concealed deep within us and for us to bring the best out of this assignment, let's go back and just ensure that we are firm on our faith, we are focused on Jesus Christ and we are faithful.
-
Have a blessed week.
