Of course, the way you've been singing just tells me I'm serious.

Amen.

We want to read the scripture today from the book of 2nd Thessalonians, chapter 2, verse 13 to 17.

We are speaking today about confidence in empowered destiny.

You have confidence, the Bible says in those verses, but we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, loved by the Lord, because God chose you as fast fruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.

He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word or mouth or by letter.

May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God, our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

This is God's word and God's people say amen.

Please, we may be seated in God's presence.

Amen.

By the way, that same date is the same date that Dekon, dr John Gishana and Tabitha Kenyanshui have their wedding anniversary, and so let's celebrate and thank God for these people.

And then, john, your birthday is 25th, 24th of December.

So look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor.

God's word is coming your way, so don't duck.

Amen, it's coming your way to encourage you, to bless you.

We're talking about empowered destiny and I want you to know that God has a great destiny for you.

I'm saying God has a great destiny for you.

Sometimes in our Christian minds we believe that when God is, when we talk about destiny, we think that God has proper something bad and whether we like it or not, it will happen.

There are people who say it is fake.

Let it be.

If it was planned for me, it is mine.

I cannot change.

If that's what God wants me to happen to me, it's okay.

Let me tell you this God has good plans for you.

Let me say that one more time God has a good destiny for you.

God never planned anything evil, especially in Christ.

God has great plans for you.

His destiny is good.

I'm saying his destiny is good.

And today we want to decree and declare that you are going to finish this year strong.

I'm saying we are going to finish the year strong.

In the name of Jesus, god has good plans, blessed plans.

Ephesians, chapter 1, verse 3, and I'll come back to the text we read, but let me just give a kind of some introductory remarks.

Ephesians 1:3

Ephesians, chapter 1, verse 3, says praise be to the God and Father of our Lord, jesus Christ, who has blessed us, has blessed us.

Ephesians 1:3

Is that past tense, future tense or present tense?

Ask your neighbor, did you pass your English?

God has blessed us.

He is not going.

He will not bless us.

He is not blessing us.

He has blessed us.

So God has blessed us.

We are working in what he has done One last few words.

And he did it 2,000 years ago, when Jesus Christ died and rose again from the dead.

He blessed you.

So if there's a witch who cast you 10 years ago, she was too late.

Hallelujah, because 2,000 years ago God decided to bless you.

You're blessed, and with good blessings.

God thinks good things concerning you.

I am saying good things concerning you, and so in Christ, he blessed you.

Let me keep reading that verse.

In verse 4, the Bible says this again this is just introductory, for he chose us in him before the creation of the world, to be holy and blameless in his sight.

He loved you, he predestined you, he adopted you.

Hallelujah, can you imagine these things that God did?

All of it in Christ.

And so this month, when we talk about destiny, the major character we are dealing with is whose character?

Jesus Christ, and he is the culmination of all these people.

Like in Abraham, isaac, jacob, the last person is Christ.

Let me read Hebrews, chapter 1, verse 1 and 2.

Hebrews 1:1

Just see what that means.

You're blessed.

I'm saying you're blessed.

It says in the past, god spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his son, whom he appointed heir of all things and through whom, also, he made the universe.

The son is the radiance of God's glory and exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.

After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the majesty in heaven.

So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.

For to each of the angels did God say you are my son.

Today I have become your father, or again, I will be his father and he'll be my son.

You see, god plans some good things for you in Christ Jesus.

So when we talk about empowered destiny, we are saying that God has placed you in his destiny so that you can fulfill his purpose here on this planet and therefore you have confidence.

Your confidence is not in what is in your bank account, your confidence in what is not in passing exams.

Your confidence is in what Christ has already done for you at the cross.

Amen, that's where your confidence is, and this month you're going to have confidence.

I'm saying this month you are going to have confidence.

In fact, tell your neighbor you're sitting next to a very confident person.

Tell them I may not look like it, but inside me I'm seriously confident.

I am persuaded that God is able.

This month I will finish strong in Jesus name.

Come on, let's give God a big hand, man.

Let me read Hebrews, chapter 10, verse 35.

Hebrews 10:35

The Bible says this Hebrews 10 35.

So do not throw away what.

Don't throw away your confidence.

It will be richly rewarded.

You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what has been promised.

You have confidence and I'm telling you that things may have happened to you this year that have eroded your confidence back in December.

Your confidence is so low you just don't know what to do next.

Let me tell you this we are not waiting to jack up your confidence in January.

We want to jack it up now.

We want to tell you that you have confidence, and your confidence is not what you did, what you didn't do.

Your confidence is not what happened to you and what should have happened to you.

Your confidence is in the Lord Jesus Christ.

What he did two thousand years ago and it still stands when Jesus died on the cross and he said it is finished.

It was finished.

It was done in Jesus name.

So don't throw away your confidence, because that confidence will be richly rewarded.

Hallelujah.

And you have confidence because of what God has done for you in Christ Jesus.

And there are three things he has done, which I'm going to now elaborate for us.

Number one God has chosen you.

You are chosen by God.

Number two you are cherished by God.

And three you are charged by God.

Let me say it one more time you are chosen, you are cherished, you are charged.

I said again, you're chosen by God, cherished by God and charged by God.

You are chosen in Christ, chosen, chosen, chosen, chosen, chosen in that destiny, chosen.

Let me read Romans, chapter 8, verse 28.

Romans 8:28

These are verses that you know and I'm just building that case because, let me tell you this, your confidence is about to shoot it to the sky.

I'll tell your neighbor one more time you're sitting next to a very confident person.

The Bible says, and we know, you know you need to know it, just like we sang, and I know, and we know that in all things God works for the God of those who do love him, who have been called, have been called according to his purpose, verse 29 for those, god for new.

He also predestined to be confirmed to the image of his son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

And those he predestined, he also called those he called.

He also justified those he justified.

He also glorified.

Now, what tense are all those statements?

Past, present or future past?

He did it.

He didn't wait for your, he didn't wait to consult you.

Hallelujah, god did it.

Then look at the next verse.

He glorified you.

What, then, shall we say in response to these things?

If God is for us, who can be against us?

Now look at the next verse.

He who did not spare his own son but gave him up for us all.

How will he not also along with him?

Everything you get is along with Jesus.

Graciously, give us a few things now.

English is important.

When you say all, it means all.

Look at the next verse.

It says who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen?

It is God who justifies.

Who, then, is the one who condends?

No one.

Christ Jesus, who died more than that, who was raised to life, is At the right hand of God, and he's also interceding for who?

For us was 35.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ who will look at your neighbor?

Ask your neighbor, who Is it you?

Then it says this who shall separate us from the love of Christ?

Shall trouble, shall trouble or hardship Taxes.

Thank you, jesus, hallelujah.

Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness, or danger or sword.

It goes on to say, as it is written, for your sake, we face death all day long.

We are considered a ship to be slaughtered.

No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors.

Through who?

Him, who loved us.

That's what conquerors comes from the Greek word Nike, nike, the shoes, nike, yo.

The word Greek word for conquerors is the word Nike.

So when you're reading Greek, that's where they got it.

You're more than a conqueror, you're more than Nike.

Look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor more than a conqueror.

Now, do you know what it means to be more than a conqueror?

Let me do.

Sometimes you don't get this.

To be more than a conqueror does not mean that you have just worn uh-uh.

To be more than a conqueror is that you are now at the podium Receiving the gold medal.

You're no longer running, ah, but I did at that time.

You're not running.

At that time, you, you rested, you showered.

You're not at the podium, nobody is trying to defeat you, nobody's trying to run with you.

You have already worn.

You are more than a conqueror, and it says no, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who did what, who loved us.

That's what we are saying.

You're cherished, you're chosen, you are cherished, you are charged.

And then he says give me the next mass, for I am convinced, I'm persuaded that neither death, no life, neither angels, no demons, demons, no demons.

I'm saying no demons, whichever demons they are.

Neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height, no depth, nor anything else in all creation We'll be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

That is where our confidence comes from.

You have a destiny in Jesus name.

I'm saying you have a destiny in Jesus name.

Yes, you may be broke now, but you have a destiny.

Being broke is just a temporal situation.

Thank you, jesus.

You may be in a rears, you may be in debt.

They are shy, looks after you, but I'm telling you there is a Christ in heaven who knows how to redeem you out of yours, out of those pits of danger.

In Jesus name, I am saying you're going to finish strong this year in Jesus name.

I'm saying it one more time You're going to be finished this year strong.

I'm saying you're going to finish this year strong.

I am saying you're going to finish this year strong.

Come on somebody, jesus name.

Why?

Because next year, january, we are not starting, we are taking off.

We are taking off.

So we are starting now, confident all through.

Nobody may invite you for Christmas, but it is okay.

Hallelujah, it was not their birthday, it was Jesus birthday.

Come on somebody, better, give God a big hand Jesus name.

Yes, oh, I've not received an invitation.

Oh, you know this.

Oh, you know that I remember there were days, gishanah, when I would preach on us on a Christmas day.

After preaching that Christmas day, I was still a bachelor that time.

I would preach on Christmas day, everybody would leave, would sing Merry Christmas, they would leave, and I would go home alone.

I'll breach the house alone.

One time I went there and I found that the sink where I was staying was flooded.

I Was taking a flat down down the first floor there and the people upstairs had kind of, because of the celebrations, had had been able to make frying foods and all that and most of that water had sank through the sinkhole, but it it, it blocked a Pochini and as it blocked, the water would now go down and start coming up and it came through my sink.

Christmas day I've reached home that the sink has over.

It is overflowing, the floor is filled.

I'm telling you.

I had to get down with the dust to clean those things.

Tell your neighbor it's good to be married, hello.

I went on my knees with the dust, with a bucket, got that water, squeezed that thing until I dried that whole place and all I could do, I could not cook.

You know, those days of the days, I would eat eggs and milk.

I'm daily, daily, I'm telling you.

And that day I said, I said God, why?

Why, everybody in Paki left and I'm here eating airbaggers.

But you see, the Bible says All things work together.

I needed that experience, hallelujah.

I needed that experience because I could now rely on the king of kings and the Lord of Lords, because that sink was not my destiny.

I had greater places that I was going to.

In Jesus name, it was just a temporal stop.

Tell your neighbor, it is a temporal stop when you are at, in Jesus name, he was chosen.

You are chosen.

You are chosen, you know, and God's destiny for you is good.

So be persuaded, be convinced.

You're going to finish this year strong.

I'm saying you're going to finish this year strong, hallelujah.

It was a tough time.

I remember another Christmas I don't know why I'm saying this.

It was again another Christmas.

I had preached here.

Now I was married of three children.

Christmas preach.

That day we went to celebrate with my sister-in-law but why?

We were there?

By accident, the house help give my daughter paraffin and she drank it.

Four days later, at Narobi Hospital, she passed.

Are you finished that year Morning?

You know, enter that year.

You know it was just one of the biggest challenges of my life.

Martha was heartbroken, I was heartbroken and we were wondering why, god did you do this for us and why did you do it to us?

But I want you to know, many, many years later we look up and say God is a good God, hallelujah.

We are still standing and I want to say you will still stand In Jesus' name.

Come on somebody.

You will stand.

You will stand.

You will finish this year strong.

Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.

So don't sit back and say, oh, I don't know what I'm going to do.

Oh, sit at the table and any.

Let me tell you this God is for you.

I'm saying God is for you, woota Toboi in Jesus' name, hallelujah you will.

Why?

Because God chose you.

You're chosen, hallelujah, you're chosen.

Let me read that verse in 2 Thessalonians, chapter 2, verse 13.

2 Thessalonians 2:13

We are going to finish this year strong.

That devil cannot stop us, the Bible says.

But we ought always to thank God.

I always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters.

Lord by the Lord, because God did what Choose you.

He chose you as fast fruits.

He chose you Ephesians Go to Ephesians very quickly, ephesians, chapter 1, we read it earlier, verse 4.

Ephesians 1 · chapter mention

The Bible says this God is going to look after you, for he chose us in Him before the creation of the world, to be holy and blameless in His sight.

He chose you, and if he chose you, he's going to take care of you.

You know what he chose you.

He chose you to be redeemed.

He chose you to reign.

He chose you to be righteous.

He chose you to be redeemed.

You are redeemed.

Let me read this verse Isaiah, not Isaiah.

Psalms 107, verse 1 and 2.

Psalms 107:1

The Bible says this you are redeemed.

That's what we were talking about last week.

Give thanks to the Lord for he is good.

Give thanks to the Lord for he is good, his love and duels forever.

Then he says let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story.

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, you are redeemed.

God created you to reign, to rule.

Listen to what the Bible says in Genesis, chapter 1, verse 26 and 27.

Genesis 1:26

When God created us in Adam Gittambo, god had a purpose.

Then God said let us make mankind in our image.

Tell your neighbor my ancestors are not monkeys.

Hallelujah, who is your ancestor, god?

Are you getting me?

Are you gittering this?

Gittering is a Hebrew word that means to catch.

Are you catching this?

Oh, don't look at the mirror and say, oh, why was I born in this family?

Let me tell you this you are born in God's family, the Bible says.

Then God said let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish of the sea.

Let me say rule.

You are created to rule.

Let me read Psalms, chapter 8, verse 3 and 4.

Psalms 8:3

The Bible says this again we were created to rule.

God has given us honor he has blessed us.

When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars which you have set in place, what is mankind?

That you are mindful of them, human beings, that you care for them?

Tell your neighbor God cares for me.

What is mankind?

That you are mindful of them, human beings, that you care for them?

Look at verse 5.

You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.

You made them what Rulers over the works of your hands.

You put everything under their feet.

You are chosen to rule in Jesus' name.

Sometimes, even when you don't realize it, you can't see it even in your children.

You have children.

You have given them toys.

Some of them are playing with cars.

The girls are playing with dolls and all kinds of things.

Then you ask them to share.

There is a fight there.

They want to control, they want to rule, they want to reign.

Hallelujah, a little boy is carrying two cars and they don't want to share.

What happens when you are driving on the road and somebody overtakes you, especially when your children are in the car?

Hello, somebody just must have said I love your children are saying Daddy, you get away from them, be off.

Then something enters into you and you decide to do what you are going to overtake that guy.

The ability to want to conquer, the ability to rule, even on the roads Hello, it is in us, it is embedded in us.

That is why we want to take charge of our situations.

If you are a person who just sits back, your casual nothing is happening, you never move, you never make a decision, you are just sitting there.

You are not engaging your mandate.

You are created to rule.

You are created to take charge.

If you do not know the answer, you can begin to tell yourself I know the answer.

I don't know it right now, but it is coming.

In Jesus name.

You can talk to God and God will open your mind because you are created to rule and to reign.

Listen to this verse Revelation, chapter 5, verse 8.

Revelation 5:8

The Bible says this because God created us to be that way, and when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the 24 elders fell down before the lamb.

Each one had a harp and they were holding golden balls full of incense, which are the prayers of God's people, and they sang a new song saying you are worthy to take the scroll and to open it, since you are slain and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language, and people and nation.

You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will do what.

And they will do what.

Where will they reign?

That's why we say thy kingdom come.

That will be done where On earth, as it is in heaven.

When Nelson Mandela was reading his inaugural speech, he quoted a statement from a book from a certain lady, and this is what it says.

It says our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.

Hello, we ask ourselves who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?

Look at your neighbor.

Tell your neighbor I'm brilliant, I'm gorgeous, I'm talented, I'm fabulous.

Allah, don't just take me like this.

Come on, you have that confidence, amen.

So let me read it again.

We ask ourselves who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are we not to be?

Who are we not to be?

Then he says you are a child of God.

He goes on to say you are playing.

Small doesn't serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fears, our presence automatically liberates other people.

Written by a lady called Marianne Williamson in a book called A Return to Love.

Quoted by Nelson Mandela and you can know where he came from and the many years he spent in prison.

But he had confidence enough that destiny had set a path for him and he saw that destiny.

Let me tell you this things may be dark now, but I'm telling you your destiny is bright.

I'm saying your destiny is bright.

I'm saying your destiny is bright, so don't give up.

You are chosen by God, chosen to be redeemed, chosen to reign, chosen in righteousness.

And I'm telling you in Christ, you look the best.

Tell your neighbor, I am the best of the best In Christ.

I'm confident in Jesus' name and I want you to know that confidence that is chosen, confidence of destiny, is confidence based on being chosen from eternity to fulfill divine destiny.

You will fulfill divine destiny, but I want you to know that you are cherished.

You are cherished by God.

What does what cherished mean?

We are in a class.

I'm asking you to value your values.

You're not second hand.

Tell your neighbor I am not a tomb, even though I may wear be wearing it right now.

Hallelujah, don't be ashamed.

You're more valuable than what you're wearing in Jesus name.

Hello, tell your neighbor one more time.

I'm more valuable than what I'm wearing right now In Jesus name.

I remember one time a member took me to her shop, one time sometime, ketambo, and I went to her shop.

She was she.

She used to sell suits.

So I went to that shop and I entered in and she showed me, told me, get a, find a new suit.

So I started checking, checking the suits.

Then I found one with blue colors which I liked and I picked it and I gave it to her.

She said you like this one, just fit it in.

I fit, I looked nice in the mirror.

Hmm, you know, when you go in those places and you go into those places and you're looking at yourself, forget the ladies men also look at themselves.

Jengalia, jengalia.

So I went in there.

God has said this is a good suit.

And so she went and said this is yours.

She packed it and gave it to me.

She also paid for it.

It's her shop.

Give me the receipt.

I went home.

Then, when I went home and I looked at the receipt, just that receipt made me not wear that suit For a long time.

I think even the lady wondered why doesn't he wear this suit?

Because when I checked and found out and it is Ketambo, it is not recently At that time the suit, that suit cost a hundred thousand shillings.

Like an imagine my mind playing with me.

I kept telling me are you worth enough to enter a suit?

There is a hundred K.

It really troubled me.

Every time I would look at that suit Then I would tell myself now, if I wear it, what would people think?

Because they would think it is all written everywhere A hundred K, a hundred K, a hundred K.

What I forgot is that this member cherished me enough to see that I am worth wearing a suit of a hundred K.

It was not about the suit, it was about me.

Let me tell you this you are valuable, you are cherished.

In Jesus name, hallelujah.

I am telling you many times we feel we are not valued, we feel we don't deserve it, we feel we are not worth it.

But let me tell you this Jesus died for you, he shed his blood for you.

He cherished you enough Not only to die for you, but to rise again from the dead and then for him to enter into your heart and live in your life.

You are valuable, you are cherished, doesn't matter who says what.

Let me tell you this you begin to carry yourself as somebody who is cherished.

Somebody is loved.

Right now.

I am not asking you to go look for a suit that is a hundred K.

Hello, I want you to know that you are more valuable than your suit.

You are more valuable than the Mercedes you drive.

You are more valuable than the Vitz you drive.

You are valuable.

You are the one who makes your car valuable.

So enjoy yourself.

Don't feel bad if you are driving a Mercedes.

Don't feel bad if you are driving a Prado.

Don't feel bad when you are driving a Vitz.

You are the one who makes whatever you drive valuable If you are walking.

Bless God, keep walking.

Your destiny is still bright.

Hallelujah.

Your destiny is still bright, in Jesus' name.

You are cherished, you are valued.

And not only are you valued, you are loved.

Not only are you loved, you are honored.

When you cherish something, you love it.

When you cherish something, you value it and you honor it.

You are honored, you have destiny and God loves you.

Let me give you a story of this man who never felt cherished at all, because there are things in life that will cause that sense of value.

You know your value never changes.

Your value never changes.

This is a thousand.

Its value is a thousand shillings, hallelujah.

But sometimes life begins to crush you, life begins to press on you, life begins to push you down until you reach a stage that life drops you and you don't know what to do and you think you are done and you are finished.

But let me ask you, if I walked away from this thousand shillings, would you pick it?

Yes, why would you pick it?

Why would you pick it.

Has it become fifty shillings?

No, it is still no.

Then God found you in that state.

Then God came down, picked you up, god straightened you and then he found the legal tender he had put in you in Genesis 1.26.

Created in my image, created in my likeness, created to reign, created to rule.

And God closed you up and God put you in his pocket, next to his heart.

You are cherished.

I am saying you are cherished in Jesus' name.

Hallelujah, young man, come here.

God bless you.

I am telling you you are cherished.

I am saying you are valuable in Jesus' name.

And what is your name?

Who, destiny?

Justin, justin, justin.

Who, david, david, justin.

You are valued, you are honored.

If I gave you this one tower, would you take it?

Just tell them, yes, I would take it.

Why would you take it?

Because you valued me enough.

Tell your neighbor correct answer.

May God give you more.

God bless you.

Now, jj, that doesn't belong to you.

But he said something that is very interesting.

Now I want to show you what somebody else said.

King Saul and David are not in good terms.

King Saul does not like David.

He knows David is supposed to be the next king.

He doesn't like him.

But there is somebody who loved David, jonathan the prince.

And Jonathan made a covenant with David.

But one day King Saul and Jonathan are killed in battle.

And because government is changing, the regime is changing, everybody who belonged to King Saul was running for their life.

A little boy by the name of Meph was carried by the house help.

While they were trying to escape, this boy fell down, crippled his feet and they took off to places they could not be found.

One day something happened.

So let me read the story.

Second, second Samuel, chapter nine, verse one, the story you know very well about meth.

The Bible says David asked is there anyone still left of the house of soul to whom I can show kindness for Jonathan's sake?

Now there was a servant of souls household named Zeba.

They summoned him to appear before David and the king said to him are you Zeba?

Are you at your service?

He replied.

The king asked is there no one still alive from the house of soul to whom I can show God's kindness?

Zeba answered the king there's still a son of Jonathan.

He is lame in both feet.

Where is he?

The king asked.

Zeba answered he is at the house of Maki, son of Amiel, in Lord Debar.

Now, lord Debar is far.

Let me tell you.

I don't know which bar it is, but it is very far.

I watch you every time.

Then he later came and said and went and told the other chefs and cooks and says do you know that guy who is sitting there?

That guy is not just any guy, he's the senior pastor of the Baptist Church.

When they were not believing, he went on YouTube and showed them a clip and said this is the guy we are serving there.

Let me tell you this Jesus is in your house, jesus has passed in your house and just because he did, your value has done what has gone up.

So don't devalue yourself.

If Jesus could stay in your heart, I'll say if I behold, I stand at the door and knock.

If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him, eat with him, he with me.

Your life has changed.

You're special.

I'm talking to somebody.

You're cherished, so lift up your shoulders.

Sometimes we really devalue ourselves because of what life gives to us.

But, lord, like we read earlier, I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor anything in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God.

Father.

In the name of Jesus, I want to decree and declare, like all of us here, that we shall finish this year strong, that, lord, we are important to you, we have that confidence, and we are not going to throw away our confidence, because it shall be richly reverted.

Dear Lord, help us to see ourselves in the mirror of Christ, and when we see ourselves in the mirror of Christ, we will know that not only are we chosen, not only are we cherished, we are also charged, and so we shall be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, because our labor in the Lord is not in vain.
