December Week 4 Theme vision: Unveiling the Spiritual Depths of Christmas

I greet you in the name of Jesus Christ and I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas.

Today we want to visit the scripture in Isaiah 9, verse 6 and 7.

Isaiah 9:6

The Bible says this For unto us a child is born, and to us a son is given, and the government will be upon his shoulder and his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace, of the increase of his government and peace, there will be no end Upon the throne of David and over his kingdom to order it and establish it with judgment and justice.

From that time forward, even forever, the zeal of the Lord of Hosts will perform it.

Today, as we celebrate this amazing day, we want to thank God for Christmas and the Christmas measures, for today talks about three things, because it is about the kingdom.

So, number one we are going to talk about our kingdom established, our kingdom authorized and thirdly, our kingdom destined.

As we talk about our kingdom established, we hear the words from this passage For unto us a child is born and a son is given.

The kingdom of God that Jesus had come to bring in his birth and in his life, and later in his death and resurrection was a kingdom that was established and was going to be established in him.

And no wonder many came from many places.

The angels were excited, the shepherds got to hear about the information, the wise men came from the east to worship and to celebrate the King who was born.

And indeed, the Lord Jesus Christ was born for one very important reason to come and establish the kingdom of God.

No wonder the Bible says Seek ye, fast the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these other things shall be added unto you.

And so, apart from the festivities, apart from going to church, apart from the messages that will be around, it is important, as a core of everything, to remember that Jesus Christ came to establish the kingdom of God.

So, for unto us, a child is born, so Jesus had to become a human being.

But a son is given.

Because the son could not be born, the son was given in Christ Jesus, and so the kingdom is established.

But secondly, the kingdom is authorized.

The Bible says His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father, prince of Peace.

When a name is given, it means that authority has been communicated, and so Jesus Christ brings a kingdom that is authorized on those four platforms.

Number one he is the wonderful counselor, so he brings truth.

He is the mighty God, so he brings power.

He is the everlasting Father, so he gives a relationship.

And he is the Prince of Peace, in other words creating the environment for us to have a relationship with God Himself.

And so our kingdom not only established, our kingdom also authorized, in the Lord Jesus Christ.

But thirdly, we are talking about a kingdom destined.

We are told in verse 7 of the increase of His government.

There shall be no end.

So Jesus did not just come to establish a religion, he did not come to establish a church.

He did not come to establish a philosophy, he came to establish a government.

The Bible says the increase of His government shall continue.

It is unstoppable.

And so on.

This Christmas we celebrate the justice of God, the dominion of God, the increase of God, but also the redemption of God, because in Jesus Christ coming redemption was a gift that was given to us.

The Bible says, for God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son the loose ever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

So the Christmas message is very simple Our kingdom established, our kingdom authorized and our kingdom destined Merry Christmas, and the Lord richly bless you.
