February Week 1 Commission Thursday: Embracing Divine Love: Reflecting Christ's Unconditional Affection in Our Lives

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another episode of Commission Thursday, where we believe that every believer is the light, every believer is the salt, every believer is Christ and Berserder and every believer is the carrier of the message of good news.

So turn within the book of 1 John, chapter 4, verse 9 and 10 from the NIV.

1 John 4:9

The scripture says this is how God showed his love among us.

He sent his one and only son into the world that we might live through him.

This is love.

Know that we love God, but that we are that he loved us and he sent his son as a returning sacrifice for our sin.

I know we live in a very critical time and season.

Recently, in the news we've heard of the cases of a femicide and a lot of things are happening.

And I know, even as we enter this season of February the season family known as for Valentine and one of the things that, as Christian, we need to amplify or talk about is the love.

The scripture says that God sent his only son, the begotten son.

Why would he sent his one and only son?

It's because he wanted us to see this perfect love, a true example of love, that God loved us so much that he sacrificed everything that was precious for him so that we may also partake of that.

And by the time he was sending, this was just moment, like what we've seen in the book of 1 John.

1 John 4 · chapter mention

Chapter 4 is the same moment, like right now, where a lot of things are happening.

When 1 John was written, a lot of things there was a rise of Antichrist, a lot of people who were so selfish and mindful of themselves, people who did not treasure the life of others and they were just mindful of their own gain.

That's the time when everything was happening and when Christ came, he came so that he can demonstrate and lead us into the perfect love that we ought to do Now.

So this is the perfect love.

When we talk of the perfect love, we must be able to distinguish this from the other love that is defined by lust, because when Christ came, he gave so that he can embrace us and accommodate us, irrespective of our weakness, irrespective of our struggles and limitations, irrespective of our background.

His arms were wide open to embrace each and every one of us, and that is the assignment that is giving us.

And this assignment is achievable not because of how qualified we are, but by the fact that he paid the price.

The first thing is about this perfect love.

The second thing that gave us the access to receive this is the propiation.

This is when Jesus Christ paid by his precious blood and he died on that cross and he dealt with the consequence of the nature of sin so that sin cannot take hold of us.

But out of this understanding, we will receive this freedom.

Now we are able to love because Christ has paid the price for us.

We are able to love because it is the atoning sacrifice that paid the sacrifice for each and every one of us.

After paying that sacrifice, then, the last thing that he did for us he positioned us to reign.

Why?

Because he has positioned us in various platforms, in offices, in schools, in various places.

We are positioned so that we can be extension of the kingdom of God in these places that God designed for us.

So in this particular season, let's step out and let people experience the love of God that is through us, because there is a sacrifice that was paid for us to see this perfect love and this sacrifice has elevated us to a higher position whereby we can also bring people to enjoy this love of God.

So, my friend, in this particular week be the extension of the love of God through people who surround you.
