  1. This month we are talking about open-door generosity and, as I introduce this topic for the month, we want to talk about open-door generosity illustrated, and the verses we want to read as we stand is Galatians, chapter 4, verse 1 to 7.

    Galatians 4:1–7

  2. Seven amazing statements from the Word of God, again appreciating our leader, our visitors, pastor Simon.

  3. Thanks for introducing them and we really appreciate, ambassador, we appreciate you and thank you for hosting some of the four ladies who came from here coming to Luanda, angola.

  4. We say thank you, god bless you, and our visiting speaker, karibu Sana.

  5. God bless you, and I've been hearing quite a bit of feedback from some of the people who have attended the seminars.

  6. Amazing and God bless you.

  7. Galatians, the Bible says what I am saying is that as long as an heir is underage, he is no different from a slave.

  8. Although he owns what, the whole estate, the heir is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father.

  9. So also when we were underage, we were in slavery under the elemental spiritual forces of the world.

  10. But when the set time had fully come, god sent his son, born of a woman, born under the law, because to redeem those under the law, that we might receive the adoption to sonship.

  11. Because you are his sons, because you are his sons, because you are his sons, god sent the spirit of his son into our hearts, the spirit who calls out Abba, father.

  12. So you are no longer a slave.

  13. You are no longer a slave.

  14. You are no longer a slave, but God's child, but God's child.

  15. And since you are his child, god has made you also an heir.

  16. This is God's word, and God's people say we may be seated in God's presence and God be lifted up in Jesus' name.

  17. Shall we pray, father, the Holy Spirit is already among us.

  18. Shall we pray, father?

  19. The Holy Spirit is already among us.

  20. We have worshipped, we have prayed, we have given and now, as we hear your voice from the scriptures, speak to our hearts.

  21. Minister to us, those in the pavilion, those here right here in person and those online.

  22. Minister your word, just the word for us.

  23. Today there's a proceeding word.

  24. May that word reach us.

  25. Your servant, pastor Ambrose, stands here.

  26. Anoint him afresh with the Holy Spirit.

  27. My God, we say thank you because indeed, we shall come out of this place with a testimony.

  28. We pray these things in Jesus' name and God's people say amen, amen.

  29. Now, through the month from January, february, march and now April.

  30. We have been making certain statements concerning the open door.

  31. The open door, before you forget, the Bible says.

  32. Jesus says I am the door, I am the door.

  33. John, chapter 10, verse 7.

    John 10:7

  34. I am the door.

  35. This Jesus is the open door.

  36. This Jesus is the open door.

  37. When the Apostle John saw the open door in heaven, he had a voice saying come up here.

  38. And he found himself through the open door before the throne of God, and God showed him amazing things in heaven.

  39. And so, in general, we talked about the open door vision.

  40. In other words, what do you see?

  41. Because God wants you to see something.

  42. He wants you to see who he is, he wants you to see what he can do.

  43. The month of February, we talked about open door declarations.

  44. What do you say?

  45. What do you say Because there are certain things you must say that God reveals to you.

  46. The month of March, we talked about open door design.

  47. How do you walk out the design that God has for you?

  48. And now, in the month of April, we're talking about God's open door generosity, god's open door generosity.

  49. How do you experience God's gifts and God's generosity that God has sent your way?

  50. Because that door is open.

  51. That door is open.

  52. Don't try to push a door that is already open.

  53. It's open.

  54. And so when we talk about generosity, we are talking about how God loves us.

  55. The Bible says in John 3, 16, for God so loved the world.

  56. You see, that is generosity.

  57. That's a picture of generosity.

  58. God is a generous God.

  59. He says for God so loved, so loved.

  60. You know, we have grown in a culture where God has been pictured as a God who is upset with us, god who is angry with us.

  61. But let me tell you this when God created us in his image and in his likeness, after he created us, he said and it was very good, god loves you so much.

  62. God loves you big time, and you know, even when you misbehave.

  63. Thank you so much.

  64. God loves you big time and you know even when you misbehave.

  65. Thank you, jesus, even when you are clubbing yesterday.

  66. I want you to know this Jesus' name.

  67. God does what.

  68. He loves you.

  69. God is not coming here on Sunday to slap you into heaven, into hell.

  70. No, god loves you.

  71. And parents, you know very well sometimes some of your children exasperate you to the limits, but you still love them.

  72. I'm the firstborn of six children and I want to tell you this when I was a boy you are seeing me.

  73. Now this is a transformed person.

  74. When I was a boy, I exasperated my mom thoroughly.

  75. I gave her a hard time.

  76. I was so energetic, I was so hyper, I could not sit.

  77. Still, I used to run through the estate.

  78. At that time we were staying in Ofa Fajiriko in the Iceland area A very new estate at that time and so spaces to move were so many and I would take off.

  79. I would run this way, I would run that way.

  80. By the time I'm coming home, I have dust from my head to the tips of my toes.

  81. One time there was a tree just next to our house, a very big tree, and there were times that I would play tricks on my mom, so I would kind of disappear.

  82. I used to disappear in many places.

  83. At this particular time, I climbed the tree and the tree had a very strong branch and I would sit on it and then I would, while you're sitting on it with my legs at the knee here, I would turn upside down and hold myself by my two legs and mom is looking for me and I'm upside down, and he would walk around trying to look for me and then I says mom, I know she would look up.

  84. I'm like, calm down, calm down.

  85. I'm telling you, tell your neighbor, thank God, Pastor Ambrose got saved.

  86. Oh, this is a transformed person.

  87. But through all those episodes, I was still my mother's son.

  88. I was still my mother's child and my mother loved me.

  89. My mother cared for me.

  90. And let me tell you this God loves you.

  91. God loves you Despite your shenanigans.

  92. God loves you in Jesus' name.

  93. Look at your neighbor, tell your neighbor.

  94. You look very mischievous, but it is good you are in church today in Jesus' name, hallelujah.

  95. If some of you stood up and told us your stories as a child, my friend, we would thank God that he redeemed you, he saved you.

  96. But I'm telling you, this is the love of God.

  97. The Bible says God is love.

  98. So God is generous.

  99. You know God is generous.

  100. If you squeeze God, love comes out.

  101. This is the love of God.

  102. And this month, as we talk about generosity, we're not just talking about issues of money, though we'll talk about that we're talking about God's character, who God is, because this is God and people are afraid of this God.

  103. But I want you to know God is saying run to me One of the things that reminds me.

  104. Pastor Simon, remember the story of the prodigal son.

  105. And even though the prodigal son was the way he was and he told the father, give me what is mine and I want to take, the father gave him and he went and squandered it and did all the things he could do.

  106. Gave him and he went and squandered it and did all the things he could do.

  107. But when the son was at his low moment, he remembered the generosity of the father.

  108. He said in my father's house, you know, the servants eat very well.

  109. And I'm going back home and I'm going to tell my father let me be one of your servants, because he knew that generosity, hallelujah.

  110. That's what woke him up, that's what made him make up his mind to go to his father, because he knew the father was generous.

  111. Of course there was his brother, who had a completely different mindset, that even though he still was at home, he did not understand the father's generosity To the point where he accused the father you have never killed even a goat for me and for my friends.

  112. And the father was wondering but all these things that are here are yours.

  113. Galatians, the Bible says you know a slave mentality and a son mentality are completely the opposite.

  114. Slave mentality and a son mentality are completely the opposite that you may be in the house as an heir but with a slave mentality, you don't enjoy what is in that house.

  115. And thank God that God wants us to have the mentality of the prodigal son who came back.

  116. And when he came back and the father said, hey, my son was dead, but now he's alive, the father embraced him.

  117. The father ran to this boy Hallelujah, the father is generous with his love.

  118. It is Christians who are not generous with their love.

  119. It is Christians who don't display the love of God.

  120. They are stingy with the love of God, hello.

  121. But I want you to know your life is about to shift.

  122. Your life is about to change.

  123. It is Christians who do not forgive others.

  124. They hold grudges the whole of their life.

  125. Let me tell you this the God who was so generous that he loved us and that he forgave us is the same God who wants us to be generous with our forgiveness and with our love for one another.

  126. Look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor.

  127. God is generous.

  128. There are three statements I'm going to make to illustrate God's generosity.

  129. Number one the blessing.

  130. Tell your neighbor the blessing.

  131. Number two the covenant.

  132. Tell your neighbor the blessing.

  133. Number two the covenant.

  134. Tell your neighbor the covenant.

  135. And number three, the promise.

  136. Tell your neighbor the promise.

  137. We are starting with the blessing.

  138. The blessing is what God released in Adam and Eve during the time of creation.

  139. So the entire human race was blessed through Adam.

  140. Now let me read these verses, because they're right there in the Bible.

  141. From verse 27 and 28, chapter 1 of Genesis, the Bible says this this is the blessing that God has given to us, showing God's generosity to us.

  142. So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God.

  143. He created them, male and female.

  144. He created them.

  145. And then God did what God blessed them.

  146. God blessed them and God said to them be fruitful and increase in number, fill the earth, subdue it, rule over the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.

  147. And then verse 31, when God had finished all he had done by even giving the blessing.

  148. The Bible says in verse 31, that God looked at what he had done.

  149. God looked at what he had created and God saw all that he had made and it was very good, and there was evening and there was morning the sixth day.

  150. When God looks at you, he is blessed.

  151. I'm saying when God looks at you, he is blessed Because you are a reflection of his blessing, you are a reflection of his glory.

  152. Of course you know what happened in chapter 3 of Genesis.

  153. The Bible says that the devil entered the Garden of Eden and something happened, that, for the first time, a curse entered into the scenario of the universe.

  154. Now let me ask you, because you're Bible students and because you come to Parklands Baptist Church, let me ask you after Adam, bible students, and because you come to Parklands Baptist Church, let me ask you after Adam and Eve sinned, who did God curse?

  155. Now, don't doubt your answer, by the way, just tell your neighbor, because I'll ask your neighbor what you say.

  156. So who did God cast In the garden Of Eden?

  157. Okay, I wish I could hear those answers.

  158. So who did God cast the serpent?

  159. What did he curse?

  160. The ground, adam and Eve could not be cursed because God had blessed them.

  161. Now, while you're still doubting that, let me read Numbers 23, verse 19.

    Numbers 23:19

  162. New King James Version says this very quickly Numbers 23, verse 19.

    Numbers 23:19

  163. Because I want you to know that God is generous.

  164. God is not a man that he should lie, nor a son of man that he should repent, has he said, and will he not do it?

  165. Or has he spoken and will he not do it?

  166. Or has he spoken and will he not make it good?

  167. And then the prophet said behold, I have received a command to bless.

  168. He has blessed and I cannot reverse it.

  169. Look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor.

  170. I thought I was cursed, but right now I know I'm blessed.

  171. Hallelujah and so God.

  172. By the way, if you read this story in chapter 23, it's a story about two people, balak and Balaam.

  173. And Balak paid Balaam to curse the children of Israel.

  174. But you know, pastor Simon, the interesting thing is that by the time Balaam was reaching the hill and he looked down at the camp of Israel, do you know what he saw?

  175. You see, the camp of Israel was very interestingly placed.

  176. In the middle of the camp of Israel was the tabernacle right there in the middle, the tabernacle Right there in the middle.

  177. Ahead of the tabernacle, on the north, were three tribes.

  178. They were arranged three tribes On the side there were three tribes, on the right there were three tribes.

  179. And below to the south were three tribes.

  180. Now, if you see that, what Balaam saw, he saw what A cross.

  181. How do you curse a cross?

  182. And yet a cross one day became a curse.

  183. The Bible says when Jesus was hung on the tree, he became a curse for us who knew no sin, so that the blessing of Abraham may become our blessing.

  184. You see, god thought of redemption long time before Jesus showed up, and in the writing of the scriptures God tries to reveal his generosity and blessing that he has for us, because God is a God who loves to bless.

  185. And so one of the things he did because the devil came and interrupted a few things that God sought a man, that God would begin to use him to open the door of the blessing.

  186. When God blesses, he doesn't reverse it, and so the Bible says in Romans not in Romans, genesis 12, when he picked Abraham.

  187. This is what God said in Genesis, chapter 12, verse 1 to 3, concerning the blessing.

    Genesis 12:1–3

  188. The Bible says this very quickly.

  189. The Lord had said to Abraham note that he's Abraham, not Abraham.

  190. So that's the first time they were engaging.

  191. Go from your country, your people and your father's household to the land, I will show you, I will make you into a great nation.

  192. And then I will do what I will bless you.

  193. The next verse I will make your name great and guess what?

  194. You will be a blessing and then I will bless those who bless you and whoever curses you I will curse.

  195. All the people on earth will be blessed through you, the blessing.

  196. Tell your neighbor the blessing.

  197. This same blessing came upon Isaac many years later.

  198. The Bible says a time of famine, a time of economic challenge in the earth.

  199. This is what happened.

  200. Genesis, chapter 26, verse 1,.

    Genesis 26:1

  201. The Bible says this about Isaac Time of famine.

  202. Circumstances are not helping, things are just berserk.

  203. Like Pastor Simon, you are praying that even in this time of economic challenges, that God can shift the economy of this country.

  204. God can shift the economy of your pocket.

  205. Look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor you're not broke.

  206. And I'll tell your neighbor I'm not broke, I just have insufficient funds.

  207. Just tell them that.

  208. Genesis 26, verse 1.

    Genesis 26:1

  209. The Bible says now there was a famine in the land beside the previous famine in Abraham's time, and Isaac went to Abimelech, king of the Philistines, in Gerah.

  210. The Lord appeared to Isaac and said Do not go down to Egypt, live in the land where I tell you to live.

  211. Stay in this land for a while and I will be with you, and then I will do what I will bless you, for to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I saw to your father, abraham.

  212. I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give them all these lands and, through your offspring, all nations on earth will be what Be blessed.

  213. Fast forward to that to around verse 12.

  214. The Bible says that Isaac planted in that season, in that time.

  215. Verse 12, chapter 26.

  216. Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold.

  217. I'm saying the same year, 2024.

  218. I'm saying the same year, 2024.

  219. I'm saying the same year for you 2024.

  220. That God will bless you big time and you will reap a hundredfold.

  221. Hallelujah, not because you worked so hard, not because you are so clever, not because you have amazing connections, but because the Lord blessed you.

  222. It is connected to the blessing, the blessing, the blessing.

  223. The Lord is generous in his blessing.

  224. Look at the next verse.

  225. The Bible says the man became what he became rich and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.

  226. The Bible says he had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him.

  227. And envy will show up anytime God begins to bless you.

  228. Your neighbors will envy you, they'll begin to fight you, all kinds of things.

  229. But guess what?

  230. You're blessed.

  231. You're blessed In that verse it says.

  232. If you can go back to verse 12, it says this Isaac planted crops in that land the same year.

  233. He reaped a hundredfold because the Lord did what Blessed him.

  234. I know sometimes people confuse this blessing and they just think that they'll just sit back and be blessed.

  235. Let me tell you this God doesn't just bless for you to sit down, because the Bible says by wisdom.

  236. A house is built by understanding.

  237. It is established by knowledge.

  238. Its rooms are filled with precious treasures.

  239. So God gives you wisdom to know what to do with your gifts and talents.

  240. He gives you understanding to know how to start something and to cause it to become productive.

  241. He gives you knowledge.

  242. Let me tell you this Ignorance will attract scarcity in your life.

  243. My people are destroyed for lack of what?

  244. Of knowledge.

  245. And so get to know God's word.

  246. Get to know God's word, study the word of God.

  247. This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth.

  248. Proverbs has amazing wisdom.

  249. Meditate on it day and night.

  250. That you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it, for then you shall make your way prosperous and you shall have good success.

  251. Look at your neighbor.

  252. Tell your neighbor I'm blessed.

  253. Tell your neighbor to the neighbor, I'm blessed.

  254. Tell your neighbor ignorance out wisdom in hallelujah, starting when, starting now.

  255. God wants to bless you in the marketplace.

  256. You see, god doesn't want to just bless you when you're in church, when you're giving your offering and your tithes.

  257. Your tithes and offerings will not make you wealthy.

  258. It is your knowledge in God that makes you wealthy.

  259. God is your wealth.

  260. God is your riches.

  261. Connect to him.

  262. Let me tell you this Connect to the source, don't connect to the resources.

  263. The resources come and they dwindle and they go.

  264. The source is unlimited.

  265. God is a God of abundance.

  266. Connect yourself to this God and that is why God told Isaac stay in this land.

  267. There is economic challenge, there is so many crazy things, but do what?

  268. Stay in this land.

  269. There is economic challenge, there is so many crazy things, but do what?

  270. Stay in this land.

  271. Trust in me, obey me and for sure God blessed that gentleman.

  272. The Bible says in the next couple of verses these Philistines who envied him began to block all the wells.

  273. He was digging the wells and they were blocking them.

  274. They kept blocking them, they kept blocking them.

  275. Let me tell you this as God begins to bless you, other people are going to block your ways.

  276. They're going to stop you in their paths.

  277. But let me tell you this Like Isaac, he needed a word Because he was getting discouraged by Simon.

  278. God is blessing him.

  279. He's getting rich, but in the process of doing that, everybody around him is just stopping him.

  280. Listen to the word God gave him Genesis 26, 24.

  281. This is what the Bible says, because, let me tell you this, this month of April, god is going to bless you.

  282. I'm saying God is going to bless you.

  283. Listen to what he says.

  284. That night, the Lord appeared to him and said I am the God of your father, abraham.

  285. Do not be afraid, for I am with you, I will bless you and will increase the number of your descendants for the sake of my servant Abraham.

  286. And then Isaac built an altar there and called on the name of the Lord.

  287. And there he pitched a tent and there his servants dug a well and called on the name of the Lord.

  288. And there he pitched a tent and there his servants dug a well.

  289. And you know they dug a well and it is called the seventh well, bathsheba.

  290. That's the seventh well, bathsheba, bathsheba, b-e-r.

  291. And it is not beer Sheba, it is not connected to any beer.

  292. Tell your neighbor amen, amen, it's beer shiba.

  293. Beer means well, shiba means seven.

  294. It's where we get the Swahili word sabba, beer, shiba, the seventh well.

  295. And I want you to know that seventh well produced so much water and that well has been there to this day.

  296. God's blessings are perpetual and God will bless you and bless your children's children to the third and fourth generation, in Jesus' name.

  297. Tell your neighbor I am the blessed one In Jesus' name.

  298. But the second word is the covenant.

  299. Tell your neighbor the covenant Because you know, sometimes God can bless you and then you begin to worry about what he has said.

  300. And you, you know, sometimes God can bless you and then you begin to worry about what he has said and you're wondering God, have you really blessed me?

  301. And you say, god, give me a sign.

  302. I need a sign.

  303. So God made a covenant.

  304. The word covenant means cut.

  305. I don't know if you remember some time back, when you wanted, when you are together and you're promising somebody something and they were not believing you.

  306. And you wanted, when you are together and you are promising somebody something and they were not believing you and you wanted them to really believe you.

  307. You said we used to say this word, but it was in Kiswahili Mungu an.

  308. And you know, you do this Now mungu an.

  309. Mungu is God and the God who is one.

  310. And you do this.

  311. I wonder why you did this?

  312. Because you know when you do this, I wonder why you did this?

  313. Because you know when you do this, it's like you're saying may my head be, that's not, but there was another, better one.

  314. This is the other one that even children do, you know.

  315. They want to tell each other we are friends forever.

  316. This thing is going to last.

  317. So their last finger, they're connected to the next one.

  318. They're both connected to your neighbor.

  319. Just put that finger and then just pull it because you're saying yes.

  320. Now imagine, imagine God coming to Abraham and says look, I bless you.

  321. And God, abraham?

  322. He says how, how?

  323. How do I know you have blessed me.

  324. So God takes his big finger into Abraham's small finger and they say, yes, we'll do this.

  325. But that's not how God did it.

  326. God did a cut.

  327. There was a cut because the word covenant means cut Genesis 15.

  328. Let me go there very quickly to illustrate the word covenant means cut Genesis 15.

  329. Let me go there very quickly to illustrate the word covenant.

  330. The Bible says this Because, let me tell you this, god has made a covenant with you, chapter 15.

  331. Abraham has doubts about the promises and the blessings of God.

  332. This is what he said, genesis, chapter 15, verse 1.

    Genesis 15:1

  333. Okay, let me read that.

  334. After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram.

  335. How, in a vision.

  336. Do not be afraid, abram, I am your shield.

  337. Amen, I am your shield.

  338. You are a very great reward.

  339. But Abram said now he's talking to God.

  340. These two are friends.

  341. Tell your neighbor you need he's talking to God.

  342. These two are friends.

  343. Tell your neighbor you need to be friends with God.

  344. You see, so Abraham was not so scared of God that they could not talk.

  345. Abraham was God's friend.

  346. God had blessed him, the Bible says.

  347. But Abraham said sovereign Lord, what can you give me, since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Elias of Damascus?

  348. And Abraham said you have given me no children, so a servant in my household will be my heir.

  349. Then the word of the Lord came to him.

  350. God is now speaking to him and says this man will not be your heir, but a son who is your own flesh and blood will be your heir.

  351. So God is trying to speak to him.

  352. Then God said fine, now let me show you something.

  353. He took him outside and said, you know, took him outside into the sky and told him look at the stars, if indeed you can count them.

  354. Then he said to him so shall your offspring be?

  355. Abraham believed the Lord and he credited it to him.

  356. As what Righteousness.

  357. He also said to him I am the Lord who brought you out of the Chaldeans to give you this land to take possession of it.

  358. But Abraham said he's still talking to God.

  359. He said sovereign Lord, you're giving me too much psych.

  360. Now listen, I need something real.

  361. How can I know that I will gain possession of it?

  362. So the Lord said to him bring me a hypha, a goat and a ram each three years old, along with a dove and a young pigeon.

  363. Abraham brought all these to him and then God said what?

  364. Cut them in two and arrange the halves opposite each other, the birds.

  365. However, he did not cut in half.

  366. Now you need to read the rest of the story, but the Bible says that later God walked between those halves.

  367. It was him putting his finger on Abraham and saying look just the way you have kept these animals, and I'm walking through them, and blood has been shed.

  368. You are sure you can count on my word that I will surely fulfill my promises to you.

  369. I am a God of covenant and, you see, one of the words we don't really talk about in this season is the covenant.

  370. The reason why David was so bold when he saw Goliath.

  371. This is what he said.

  372. He said how can this uncircumcised Philistine come against someone who has been circumcised Philistine Come against someone who has been circumcised?

  373. In other words, he was saying this I have a covenant with God.

  374. This guy is not circumcised.

  375. He has no covenant with God.

  376. In other words, he is already defeated.

  377. Before he starts, let me tell you this, ladies and gentlemen you have a covenant with God.

  378. I am saying you have a covenant with God.

  379. I am saying you have a covenant with God.

  380. God cut, blood was shed and God said as I have done this, any enemy who fights you fights me.

  381. Anyone who comes against you comes against me.

  382. The battle is not yours, the battle is the Lord's.

  383. There was a covenant.

  384. There was a covenant.

  385. There was a covenant.

  386. And God said for sure, because I've done this, I'll bless you.

  387. In fact, if you read that story, he even gave him the future of his life many, many years ahead.

  388. And God was saying as surely as you have done this and I've done this, I will fulfill my generosity to you.

  389. Look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor Abraham was just like us.

  390. How do you cut a covenant and blood is shed and the next thing you do is do completely different.

  391. God says this and you don't believe him because chapter 16, just after this had happened, 16, abraham and Sarah are having what we call pillow talk.

  392. Sarai happened not to be in that meeting when they were doing a covenant, so she has her own ideas.

  393. So let me read this in the New King James Version.

  394. The Bible says this now Sarai.

  395. Okay, new King James.

  396. Now Sarai.

  397. Now remember, she's still Sarai, not Sarah.

  398. Now Sarai.

  399. Okay, new King James, now Sarai.

  400. Now remember, she's still Sarai, not Sarah.

  401. Now Sarai.

  402. Abraham's wife had borne him no children and she had an Egyptian maid servant whose name was Hagar.

  403. At night pillow talk, sarai said to Abraham Babe, see now the Lord has restrained me from bearing children.

  404. Please go into my maid, perhaps I shall obtain children by her.

  405. And without blinking, abraham heeded her voice.

  406. I can just imagine Abraham saying can I go now, my friend?

  407. Somebody that God has made a covenant with you have totally forgotten the covenant that has been made, and somebody who was not in that meeting Tells you something different and you can change.

  408. Look at your neighbor.

  409. Tell your neighbor Allah, and I'm telling you that blunder with Hagar has been with us to this day.

  410. But God is a generous God Because, come chapter 17, abraham is 99.

  411. God has to remind him of that covenant, Chapter 17, verse 1.

  412. Very quickly, tell your neighbor we are human beings Because you can come from church, so blessed.

  413. By the time you reach the gate, something else shifts.

  414. Hello, you go home, things are shifting, but remember the covenant.

  415. Tell your neighbor remember the covenant.

  416. Yes, remember the covenant.

  417. You see, when I walk with this ring, when I walk with this ring, I always remember the covenant.

  418. Tell your neighbor remember the covenant.

  419. Yes, remember the covenant.

  420. You see, when I walk with this ring.

  421. When I walk with this ring, I always remember the covenant.

  422. I always remember the covenant.

  423. But there are times when I'm driving and suddenly I see a slay queen.

  424. I say whoa.

  425. Then I see my ring, covenant, my brother, why are you looking so innocent?

  426. I cut a covenant because in this ring, when I pull it out inside, it is Martha's name.

  427. I remember Martha, martha, martha, martha, martha.

  428. I remember there was something we exchanged.

  429. Please remember what you exchanged with God.

  430. He's a covenant-keeping God.

  431. Give God a big hand, so don't act foolishly.

  432. Some men go to these places and they see this slay queen or something.

  433. Then they remove their rings.

  434. They remove those rings just to show that, hey, I'm not connected.

  435. Ladies and gentlemen, the covenant God made with you is cut, everlasting covenant.

  436. And so in chapter 17, god has to remind this guy hey, 17, verse 1.

  437. Then God had to change his name Because the guy was not thinking properly.

  438. Tell your neighbor, we need reminders.

  439. Am I helping somebody here, ladies?

  440. Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay.

  441. When Abraham was 99 years old, the Lord appeared to Abraham and said to him I am almighty, god, walk before me and be blameless, and I will make my covenant between me and you and will multiply you exceedingly.

  442. Then Abraham fell on his face.

  443. You know he bowed down.

  444. Sorry, my screen is gone.

  445. Then Abraham fell on his face and God talked with him, saying as for me, behold, my covenant is with you and you shall be a father of many nations.

  446. Even in that situation, god was still generous.

  447. Tell your neighbor, even when we blunder, god is still generous.

  448. Tell your neighbor, even when we blunder, god is still generous.

  449. Please tell them with confidence.

  450. So let me tell you this I'm not asking you to blunder.

  451. I'm telling you that God is a covenant-keeping God.

  452. And it is this same God who told Abraham this time next year you're going to have a child.

  453. And Abraham laughed he's 99.

  454. He laughed.

  455. Then God now had to make a personal visit to his house.

  456. Can you imagine how many things God needed to encourage this gentleman?

  457. He's a father of faith.

  458. But let me tell you this it took a lot from God to straighten his brain.

  459. And so, in chapter 18, he gives him a personal visit and he tells him this time next year you're going to have a child.

  460. Sarah is listening.

  461. Sarah begins to laugh and God tells Sarah by the way, did you laugh, sarah?

  462. In her personality she says I did not laugh.

  463. God says, but you laughed and God said guess what?

  464. This time next year you shall have a child.

  465. God is a generous God and I'm declaring to somebody right now, in Jesus' name may that generosity connect with you this month.

  466. In Jesus' name, the generosity of his love.

  467. You know, I was writing down something here and I said that God is generous in about eight ways and I said I'll just share it with you.

  468. You know that God is generous, he's just generous.

  469. I don't know where I put that paper, but God is generous in eight ways.

  470. He's generous in favor.

  471. He's generous in love.

  472. He's generous in his promises.

  473. God is what.

  474. He's generous.

  475. He's generous in salvation.

  476. You know, let me tell you this there are some of you who have still not given your life to Jesus Christ, and yet God is still standing there saying come to me.

  477. All you who labor and are heavy, lay down, I'll give you rest.

  478. God is not stingy with his salvation.

  479. God does not choose who he saves and who he doesn't.

  480. God is saying that salvation was catered for every human being on this planet.

  481. He's a generous God.

  482. Tell your neighbor God is a generous God.

  483. But let me tie this, giving you the last part.

  484. What was the first statement, the blessing?

  485. What is the second one?

  486. What is the third one?

  487. The promise.

  488. Isaiah, chapter 9, verse 6.

    Isaiah 9:6

  489. God made the promise of the coming Messiah, who would take the inheritance and the riches and the wealth of heaven and bring them to us.

  490. Now listen to what Isaiah says in chapter 9, verse 6 and 7.

  491. For unto us, a child is born.

  492. Isaiah says in Numbers, chapter 9, verse 6 and 7.

    Numbers 9:6

  493. For unto us, a child is born.

  494. Unto us a son is given and the government will be upon his shoulder and his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

  495. It says of the increase of his government and peace.

  496. There will be no end Upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice.

  497. From that time forward, even forever, the zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this Amen.

  498. So God is in heaven, god is seeing how we are struggling and God is saying how can I bring my treasure, my bounty, to these people?

  499. And God says I'll put all that I own and all that I have in my son Jesus Christ.

  500. And then he said, jesus, go to that earth and deposit my treasure to the people.

  501. Show them I'm a generous God, show them that I love them.

  502. Show them that I have good thoughts towards them.

  503. No wonder, when Jesus came he said the thief comes to do what?

  504. To steal and kill and destroy.

  505. But I have come that you may have life and have it how Abundantly.

  506. It is through the promise of God that he came.

  507. By the way, when you read the book of Galatians, especially chapter 3, it talks about the curse and the blessing and the blessing of Abraham, and it talks about how Jesus Christ is the one who has brought that blessing.

  508. But in chapter 4, which we read, the challenge is not in the blessing and the generosity of God.

  509. The challenge is our mentality.

  510. We have the mentality of slavery instead of the mentality of sonship, and it is my prayer that this month, as we talk about generosity, you will shift from that aspect of being a slave to being a son, because you are a son, you are a child of God.

  511. Buona se fie, you are a child of God.

  512. And then it says this in John 1, verse 16.

    John 1:16

  513. If I can read that because Jesus came born of a woman, born under the Lord, but he came bringing God's treasure to us.

  514. In chapter 1, verse 16, the of a woman born under the Lord.

  515. But he came bringing God's treasure to us In chapter 1, verse 16,.

  516. The Bible says this and of his fullness we have all received, and grace for grace Let me read this in the amplified version Talks about that fullness.

  517. So who is the fullness Talking to you?

  518. Who is the fullness?

  519. Jesus.

  520. So God took his generosity, placed it in Jesus, and then he says for, out of his fullness, the superabundance of his grace and truth, we have all received grace upon grace.

  521. Now let me tell you this that word receive is not passive, because in English sometimes when you say I received a call, it's kind of passive.

  522. I received a call, somebody did something, I received a call and sometimes it is passive.

  523. Or you say I received a parcel.

  524. It is at the post office.

  525. I received a parcel and sometimes it is passive.

  526. No wonder, at the post office, alex, there are many parcels that are received there.

  527. Then reminders are sent to you to come and do what Collect.

  528. But many people don't go to collect and sometimes the parcels stay there and sometimes they burn them or do something Because we did not take it actively.

  529. The word is not a passive word, it is an active word and that is why in Greek the word receive in Greek is the word lambano.

  530. Tell your neighbor lambano.

  531. It is very active.

  532. To illustrate that, I illustrated with a gentleman from western Kenya looking at a mountain of Ugali, from Western Kenya looking at a mountain of Ugali.

  533. Now, these days they have spoiled the activity of that mountain because these days, before you even eat the mountain, they cut the mountain into pieces and they divide it to the children.

  534. But a couple of years ago you did not receive Ugali like that.

  535. You saw Ugali and this gentleman from Western Kenya looked at the Ugali, made a prayer and said Father, help me move the mountain.

  536. So Ugali and this gentleman from Western Kenya looked at Ugali, made a prayer and said Father, help me move the mountain.

  537. And he took his hand and he hit the mountain, pulled it out, squeezed it, put a hole in it and took the stew.

  538. That act of wah is what we call lambano.

  539. Come on, give God a big hand.

  540. And so the ugali doesn't come to you, you go to the ugali and you lambano it, you receive it and you do what is necessary.

  541. And you do it again and do what is necessary and you keep doing it until the mountain is what Is moved.

  542. God is waiting for you to receive of his fullness, and it doesn't get depleted, it is always there.

  543. You don't bother God, he has enough.

  544. He has more than enough.

  545. Keep coming, keep coming.

  546. He has enough grace, he has enough love, he has enough peace, he has enough joy.

  547. Keep coming, keep coming.

  548. He has all that you need for life and godliness.

  549. In Jesus' name, look at your neighbor.

  550. Tell your neighbor Lambano.

  551. In Jesus' name, take it.

  552. That is our salvation.

  553. Let me tell you this the thief, the two thieves on the cross, one went to hell, the other one went to heaven because it reached a moment when he said Jesus, remember me.

  554. He Lambano'd his blessing Remember me when you come into your kingdom.

  555. And Jesus said remember me.

  556. He lambanoed his blessing Remember me when you come into your kingdom.

  557. And Jesus said today you shall be with me in paradise.

  558. The other thief died and went to hell.

  559. Let me tell you this there is something you must do.

  560. There is something you must do Receive of his fullness this month of generosity, receive of his fullness, this month of generosity, receive of his fullness.

  561. But the Lord told me to say one more thing before we go, because, as God gives to us, there is a thief who keeps coming to steal us.

  562. The thief comes to do what To steal, kill and destroy.

  563. And God told me this no matter what the devil has done, you're going to recover.

  564. You're going to recover everything.

  565. I'm saying you're going to recover everything In Jesus' name.

  566. Pastor Simon, david one day came home and everything was stolen His children, his wives stolen, everything gone, gone, gone.

  567. And the Bible says the men cried until they could cry no more.

  568. And then they got upset.

  569. They wanted to beat up and stone David.

  570. But the Bible says David encouraged himself in the Lord.

  571. 1 Samuel, chapter 30, verse 6.

    1 Samuel 30:6

  572. Let me read from that verse and then we shall pray.

  573. The Bible says this 1 Samuel, chapter 30, beginning with verse 6, very quickly, okay, david was what Greatly distressed because the men who were talking were stoning him.

    1 Samuel 30 chapter mention

  574. Each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters, but David found strength in the Lord, his God.

  575. Then David said to Abiathar, the priest, the son of Ahimelech, bring me the effort Abiathar brought to him.

  576. And the Bible says and David inquired of the Lord, shall I pursue?

  577. Let me read this in the New King James, because there's a word I want to pull out from that statement.

  578. He asked the Lord you know, I'm a soldier, I can revenge, I can do all kinds of things, but God, should I pursue them?

  579. David inquired of the Lord, saying shall I pursue this troop?

  580. Shall I overtake them?

  581. And listen to what God said Now, this is what I'm telling somebody right now.

  582. And he answered him pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and, without fail, recover.

  583. Oh, in Jesus' name, I'm talking to somebody right now.

  584. You shall recover.

  585. Go to verse 18.

  586. When they pursued, they reached.

  587. This is verse 18.

  588. Giving you a testimony, verse 18.

  589. So David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away.

  590. And David rescued his two wives and nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything which they had taken from them.

  591. And David recovered all.

  592. You shall recover all, you shall recover all.

  593. And David recovered all.

  594. You shall recover all, you shall recover all.

  595. Look at the next verse.

  596. Then David took all the flocks and herds they had driven before those other livestock and said this is David's spoil.

  597. But do you know what he did with that spoil?

  598. He began to share it away.

  599. Verse 26.

  600. In verse 26, that same chapter, the Bible says this I believe there's a verse 26.

  601. Now, when David came to Ziklag, he sent some of the spoil to the elders of Judah, to his friends, saying here's a present for you, here's a present for you, here's a present for you.

  602. And he just gave, gave, gave.

  603. When God is generous to you, be generous to others, hallelujah.

  604. When God is generous with you, don't hold the generosity and say this is mine, it might get finished.

  605. Ah, ah, God never gets finished.

  606. You see, pastor Simon, god does not give and take away.

  607. That's what Job used to think, that he has given.

  608. He takes.

  609. Uh-uh.

  610. God gives and gives again.

  611. That's the God we serve, hallelujah.

  612. So to somebody one more time I don't know what you have lost, but God is saying he's still generous.

  613. You will recover all.

  614. You will recover all.

  615. How?

  616. Only God knows.

  617. Hallelujah.

  618. So tell your neighbor.

  619. The pastor has finished preaching.

  620. Now stand on your feet.

  621. Now, which part of the message did you get, lambana, from all I said?

  622. That's all you got.

  623. What are the first statement, the blessing, the second statement, the third one?

  624. It is my prayer that you will understand that God is a God of blessing and that God is a God of what Covenant?

  625. He remembers the covenant, hallelujah.

  626. He remembers.

  627. There's something that was cut.

  628. He remembers.

  629. And then God has given a promise.

  630. His promise is in his son, jesus Christ.

  631. And I want to pray today, before you leave and even later today, sit somewhere, reflect on what I've said and if you have never given your life to Jesus, tell Jesus.

  632. I want to lambano salvation today.

  633. I want to receive your son, because God will not bring his son and then push him into your heart.

  634. The Bible says behold, I stand at the door and knock.

  635. If anyone, anyone, it doesn't matter what religion you are Catholic, presbyterian, protestant, muslim, hindu it doesn't matter what religion you are Catholic, presbyterian, protestant, muslim, hindu it doesn't matter.

  636. If anyone opens that door, I will come into him, I will eat with him and he with me.

  637. Look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor you're looking at a very generous person.

  638. Now say it with confidence.

  639. With confidence, hallelujah, because the God in you is what Is generous.

  640. Now why don't you give God a big hand?

  641. Just tell him thank you, thank you.

  642. I'm excited.

  643. I know something good is coming your way.

  644. I know something special is coming your way.

  645. This month is your month of breakthrough In Jesus' name.

  646. Come on, somebody, better give God a big hand.

  647. Yes, yes, yes, this is your month.

  648. Come on somebody, you better give God a big hand.

  649. Amen, amen.

  650. And remember it's because this God, in his own willingness, has chosen to give you himself, so receive him.

  651. The Bible says he came to his own people, but his own himself, so receive him.

  652. The Bible says he came to his own people, but his own people did not receive him.

  653. But to those who received him, he gave to them.

  654. May you receive him.

  655. Why don't you take a moment and just pray, just make a short prayer where you are, a prayer of dedication as you walk into this month, and just tell God thank you for being generous, thank you for being generous with your word, thank you for being generous with your presence and with your spirit.

  656. Thank you for being generous.

  657. And then tell the Lord I receive your generosity.

  658. I receive your generosity, amen, amen, thank you, jesus.

  659. Come on, tell God, thank you, tell God, you appreciate his blessing, the blessing, the covenant and the promise.

  660. Father, thank you, thank you for this congregation, thank you for your word.

  661. Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

  662. Father, god, these are your people and as I prepare to release them, may that word that has been deposited in them begin to grow and germinate and bear fruit thirtyfold, sixtyfold and a hundredfold.

  663. Lord, may they be like Isaac, who believed in the covenant, who believed in the blessing, and he planted in that year and that same year he harvested a hundred times and he became prosperous and continued being prosperous until he was very prosperous.

  664. Father God, that is our portion.

  665. Lord, there are some people here who are completely dealing with scarcity, dealing with issues of lack, and, lord, they are challenged.

  666. Some of them it is the rent issues, some of them is school fees, some of them is just capital that is not there.

  667. Some of them are in debt and, lord, they're just wondering, after this message, is anything going to change?

  668. Dear Lord, I say step into their space.

  669. Step into their space, just like you stepped into Abraham's space and encouraged him.

  670. Step into our spaces, because when you come in, you come in with abundance, you come in with wisdom, you come in with wisdom, you come in with knowledge and with understanding.

  671. And wherever you are, ladies and gentlemen, let God come into your space, let God come into your career, let God come into your business, let God come into your family, let God come into these needs that you have, because when God steps in, let me tell you this you're connected to God's eternal abundance.

  672. God loves you, father.

  673. Thank you for hearing our prayer.

  674. Thank you, lord, for hearing our prayer, because this month we are geared for many testimonies.

  675. If you believe that, you better say I receive it, I take it, it is my portion and there's nothing the devil can do about it.

  676. Now, give God a big hand and bless his holy name.

  677. Amen.

  678. Come on, come on, give God a big hand.

  679. Yes, yes, amen.

  680. Thank you, jesus.

  681. Are you glad you came?
