July Week 2 Theme Vision: Stewardship of the Divine: Embracing Our Role as Guardians of God's Gifts

Good morning.

We are thankful to God for you.

This is a great season it is in the second half of the year 2024, and we are in the month of July, actually and in the season of open, open door responsibility, uplifted kingdom stewardship.

The Bible says in Psalm 24 that the earth is the Lord's and everything in it, everything in it, the world and all who live in it, the world and all who live in it, the world and all who live in it.

That means everything we see belongs to God the land, the sea, the plants, the animals, you and I, even property belongs to God.

And because of that, there are two important roles that we need to capture that we are number one, to be responsible for everything God has given us, everything God has put in our hands, and that we should be good stewards.

And that we should be good stewards, we should be responsible and we should be good stewards of everything God has put in our hands.

The Bible talks about this in 1 Thessalonians 5, 23-24.

As we look at everything God has made, the most important thing we should guard or be responsible for and be good stewards of is our heart, our soul and our body.

There is never any replacement for that.

In 1 Thessalonians 5, 23, 24, the Bible says this may God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through.

May your whole body, soul and spirit be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.

It talks about three things May your whole spirit, soul and body, your whole spirit, soul and body, the whole person, the whole person, should take responsibility of themselves, because they are the greatest item or possession of value that God has given us Life, this life that we have.

So, number one guard your heart.

You are the most treasured possession on this earth.

You are the most treasured possession on this earth.

Therefore, guard your heart.

The Bible says in Proverbs 4.23,.

Guard your heart with all diligence.

From it comes issues of life.

All issues of life come from the heart.

We must guard our hearts, we must take responsibility of our hearts.

We must be good stewards of anything that touches our hearts.

Number two guard your soul.

Guard your soul.

Guard your soul.

The soul is the institution where you have your mind, your will and your emotions.

Guard your soul.

Proverbs 22, verse 5, says this Thorns and snares are in the way of the crooked.

Proverbs 22:5

Thorns and snares are in the way of the crooked.

Whoever guards his soul, whoever guards his soul, will keep far from them.

Whoever guards his soul will keep far from thorns and snares, the things that will cause you to stumble, the things that will cause you to fall, but the Bible refers to them as thorns and snares.

When you guard your soul, you will keep away from the things that cause you to stumble.

And, finally, guard your body.

Guard your body.

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6, verse 19 and 20, do you not know that your body, your body, is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, who is from God?

1 Corinthians 6:19

It talks about you being bought with a price.

You are bought with a price, so glorify God in your body.

Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, of the Holy Spirit, where the Holy Spirit indwells.

Therefore, the body should be holy, kept holy, kept blameless, and therefore we need to guard our bodies.

Why?

It is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Let us remember that we need to guard our hearts, we need to guard our soul and we need to guard our bodies.

May God bless you as you consider these truths that we need to look at as we move forward.

May you be a good steward of what God has entrusted in your hands, because God will hold you responsible for everything he has given you, and because we are God's stewards, I'm sure God will bless you for being a good steward and even for being responsible.
