  1. Our scripture reading comes from Ephesians, chapter 6, from verse 10 to 20.

    Ephesians 6 chapter mention

  2. Ephesians 6, verse 10 to 20.

    Ephesians 6:10–20

  3. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his might.

  4. That was not convincing.

  5. Go back to verse 10.

  6. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power Sounds better.

  7. Put on the full armor, not half.

  8. Yeah, don't just put on the shoes.

  9. I need the shoes, I need the helmet and you leave.

  10. Don't be in a hurry.

  11. No, makeup for the armor of God.

  12. Don't say I have to do my makeup before I put the helmet and you leave.

  13. Don't be in a hurry.

  14. No, makeup for the armor of God.

  15. Don't say I have to do my makeup before I put the helmet of salvation.

  16. You have to put on this full armor.

  17. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your against the devil's schemes.

  18. The devil is a schemer.

  19. So you must take your stand, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, not against your husband, not against your wife, not against your children, not against your colleague, not against your business partner If they are doing anything to you.

  20. Remember you are waging war Against the kingdom of darkness, and it says there, but the battle is against rulers and authorities Against powers of this dark world.

  21. There is a dark world.

  22. There is a dark world.

  23. There is a kingdom known there is a dark world.

  24. There is a kingdom known as the kingdom of darkness.

  25. But you are the children of the light Against powers of the dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

  26. So Paul says, therefore, put on the half armor of God, put In the heavenly realms.

  27. So Paul says, therefore, put on the half armor of God, put on the three quarter armor of God, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day Again, when the day there is a day of evil, it is not an evil day because God is the God who gives us every good day.

  28. Yeah, but there's a day where the evil will show up.

  29. So that, when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground.

  30. Then Paul says, and after you have done everything, stand, stand firm.

  31. Then, fitted with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the belts of truth buckled around your waist, with a breastplate of righteousness in place and with your feet fitted with a readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, and in addition to all this, take up the shield of faith which you can extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil.

  32. One Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, which is the word of God, and pray in the spirit on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and requests.

  33. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people.

  34. Like Dr Kauper, like myself, as I share the gospel, and as you pray for Pastor Simon and Pastor Ambrose, pray also for me that, whenever I speak, words May be given me so that I will fearlessly Make known this mystery Of the gospel.

  35. Father, we thank you.

  36. We thank you that victory is our portion.

  37. We thank you that Jesus died on the cross and when he made the victorious statement that it is finished, the devil was defeated.

  38. He remains defeated and, lord, we thank you that Jesus has conquered the enemy, made a public spectacle of him triumphing over him through the cross.

  39. Therefore, we break every curse, we resist every agenda of the kingdom of darkness.

  40. We say Jesus is exalted to the higher place and Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father, above every principality and power and authority and spiritual force, and therefore every heavenly blessing becomes our portion this morning and we are receiving every gift that is our portion to this morning, this afternoon, saying oh lord, may your blessings flow to everyone this afternoon because that is your desire.

  41. We break every curse, we release every blessing, we come against every sickness, we come against every oppression, we come against every depression, we come against every fear, we come against every anxiety and we speak peace to your people because that is their portion.

  42. In the name of Jesus, father, we thank you and we bless you because you have prayed this, even believing and trusting in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

  43. Amen, you may have your seat.

  44. You are armed for victory.

  45. You are armed for victory.

  46. You are armed for victory.

  47. Paul wrote the episode of the book of Ephesians while he was in prison.

  48. While he was in prison, he's actually called the ambassador of Christ in chains.

  49. There was a good reason for him to complain, to grumble, to lament and say how God has abandoned him and how he was suffering in incarceration in a Roman jailhouse.

  50. But the Bible says Paul was called by God to go and preach the gospel to the Gentile world and therefore the devil would actually be resisting that Paul not to be able to spread this gospel in the Roman Empire so severely, paul would find himself in prison and while he was in this jailhouse, instead of complaining and lamenting and saying how difficult things are, let me say this before I continue the confession of your mouth is critical.

  51. I repeat, the confession of your mouth is critical and therefore we must be careful about the pronunciations we make, the pronouncements we make.

  52. Some confessions, like the economy is not doing well, we should say that the economy is doing well because God is at work.

  53. What are you simply doing?

  54. You are confessing to an environment that is having a challenge and speaking a different message.

  55. Hallelujah, because the moment you confess what God is saying concerning your environment, things will shift.

  56. Hallelujah, hallelujah.

  57. Confess what the Bible says concerning your environment and concerning your situation.

  58. So Paul, while he was in prison, chose not to allow his environment to dictate his condition and he wrote the book of Ephesians and in chapter 1, verse 3, he says God has blessed you with every heavenly blessing in Christ Jesus.

  59. God has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing.

  60. Hello, not some blessings, but every spiritual blessing.

  61. He says in him, verse 7, we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sin in accordance to the riches of his grace.

  62. Are you hearing what Paul is saying?

  63. That your sins are forgiven and according to God's riches of his grace, god's riches of his grace, god's unmerited favor, favor you do not merit, god has released to you.

  64. That is what Paul says in chapter 1.

  65. In chapter 2, he says, verse 3 to 10, we were by nature deserving wrath.

  66. Because of God's great love for us and his richness in mercy, he has made us alive in Christ.

  67. God has made us alive in Christ.

  68. We were actually supposed to be destroyed, we were supposed to be annihilated, deserving wrath, but God gave us his mercy.

  69. It is by grace.

  70. Paul says in chapter 2, verse 8, that we have been saved through faith, and this is not ourselves.

  71. It is the gift of God, not by works that any of us should boast.

  72. He continues to say in Ephesians 3, 20, 21, that God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we ask or think and I think we need to read this one, and I think we need to read this one Now to him who is able to do?

  73. To do what Immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to, according to his power, that is at work within His power is at work.

  74. The power is at work.

  75. The power is at work.

  76. The power is at work within you.

  77. The power to do exceedingly abundantly more than you can ask or imagine is released within you.

  78. Isn't that a reason to rejoice and give God glory, because he has given you the ability to understand that what is impossible is possible for you.

  79. You only need to believe he continues to speak about it in chapter 4, to be kind and compassionate.

  80. Chapter 4, verse 32, be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ, god has forgiven you.

  81. Are you carrying a grudge and you feel that this person cannot be forgiven?

  82. Jesus is reminding us, as he's reminding me today.

  83. May we forgive each other, just as in Christ, god has forgiven you.

  84. God has forgiven you much.

  85. God has forgiven me much.

  86. Why should you hold a grudge against your boss?

  87. Why should you hold a grudge against your husband?

  88. Why should you hold a grudge against your colleague?

  89. Why should you hold a grudge against your brother and your sister?

  90. Paul says be kind and compassionate to one colleague.

  91. Why should you hold a grudge against your brother and your sister?

  92. Paul says be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ, god forgave you.

  93. He continues in chapter 5 to talk about the family and he says be careful how we live, not like the unwise, but as wise, making the best of every opportunity.

  94. God is saying be wise in the way you live, make the best of every opportunity the Lord brings along your way so that at the end of this life God is glorified by the way you have lived in this part of heaven.

  95. But Paul is finding a way of concluding this book and he says in chapter 6, verse 10 finally, be strong in the Lord.

  96. Finally be strong in the Lord.

  97. He's saying be strong in the Lord because you cannot overcome the enemy in your strength.

  98. You need God and you need his strength for you to be able to overcome the enemy.

  99. So I bring with us three points.

  100. Number one, three thoughts the believer's power, the believer's protection and the believer's position.

  101. Power, the believer's protection and the believer's position the believer's power, the believer's protection and the believer's position.

  102. In verse 10 of Ephesians 6, paul says finally, at the end of this season, after all has been said and done, after he has said in chapter 1 that you are blessed with every heavenly blessing, after he has said in chapter 2 that God has created you.

  103. You know you are created God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works which God prepared in advance for you to do.

  104. When he has said in chapter 3 that he's able to do exceedingly abundantly.

  105. Above all, you can ask or think.

  106. When he continues in chapter 4.

  107. To talk about how we should live a godly life, he notices that we have an enemy to fight.

  108. This is the only chapter that spiritual warfare is mentioned in an advanced manner.

  109. Paul realizes that you cannot step into your place of victory because there is contention.

  110. We must step up and put on the full armor of God.

  111. He says finally, you cannot overcome the enemy in your strength.

  112. He says finally, be strong in the Lord.

  113. He's not saying be strong in your Lord.

  114. He's not saying be strong in your position in this institution.

  115. He's not saying be strong in accordance to the bank account and the figures you know.

  116. The other day somebody was praying and said oh God, help me, help me to have so much money that when people look at my bank account they cannot tell the difference between my bank account number and the volumes of cash flowing in my account.

  117. And I say that's a good prayer, but I also pray that this money, when it comes, it will be used in the right way.

  118. Hallelujah, it's not a bad prayer.

  119. It's a good prayer, but let's also pray that God will be glorified even as he continues to increase you.

  120. You know the reason why sometimes God takes time to answer our prayers.

  121. It is because we are sometimes not ready for the blessing.

  122. God sometimes wonders Now, who are you?

  123. I gave you two billion.

  124. Will they be coming to church on Sunday or will they be going to play golf at the county club?

  125. Or will they be going to play golf at the county club?

  126. Will they be sitting at home and saying Imam Boya, physical Service, let us watch online?

  127. And while they are watching online, they are doing other things also and money comes on the phone.

  128. They are quickly starting to respond to the call and sometimes God wants you to be prepared.

  129. Hallelujah, may God wants you to be prepared.

  130. Hallelujah, may God prepare you so that when this blessing comes, you are ready for it.

  131. Am I saying this to someone?

  132. Abraham waited for 25 years for the blessing of the son to come through.

  133. Moses waited and God called him when he was 80.

  134. It is never too late, right?

  135. May God prepare you.

  136. David waited After being anointed king.

  137. He would have gone and said I am the king of Israel, saul, get out of the palace.

  138. But he had to go through training.

  139. God had to prepare him.

  140. Let me say there's a blessing coming your way.

  141. You didn't sound convinced.

  142. I said there's a blessing coming your way.

  143. This is your time.

  144. Why am I saying this?

  145. Because the enemy, who has contested against your blessing, we are telling him the time is over.

  146. Step out and let the people of God celebrate the goodness of God in their lives.

  147. Yes, your business has struggled and you're almost giving in and giving up.

  148. Trust in the Lord, trust in him.

  149. Be strong in the Lord.

  150. Even when everything seems to be crushing, you be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

  151. We've just read Ephesians 3 20.

  152. God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above what you can ask or think.

  153. So I believe that God is doing something this week that you would believe with me that the time of the devil sitting on your blessing is over.

  154. Yes, you are stepping into new space.

  155. You are stepping into new territory.

  156. The time for your blessing is over.

  157. Yes, you are stepping into new space.

  158. You are stepping into new territory.

  159. The time for your blessing is now.

  160. The time is now, it's not tomorrow.

  161. Our God is a God of now.

  162. He's a God of now.

  163. Blessings, and may he minister to you even this week.

  164. Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.

  165. Do not look to other sources for strength.

  166. Look up to God.

  167. Look up to God.

  168. Look up to him because he is dependable.

  169. Look up to him.

  170. He is reliable.

  171. Look up to him.

  172. He's reliable.

  173. Look up to him.

  174. He's the only God who remains and will ever be.

  175. He's the only constant in our world that is ever changing.

  176. He's reliable, he's dependable, he says.

  177. Even when you are faithless, he remains faithful because he cannot deny himself.

  178. This is the God we worship.

  179. Let's give a hand clap to Jesus.

  180. Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

  181. We cannot meet, we cannot win this spiritual battle outside of Christ.

  182. This battle must be won in the spiritual realms.

  183. We must trust God.

  184. Put our hope in God.

  185. One of the names of God is Jehovah Sabaoth, and you've heard this mentioned several times from this pulpit.

  186. That means he's the God who fights for you.

  187. Can you imagine that that is the name of God who fights for you?

  188. He says it is time for you to step back.

  189. Let me do the battles for you.

  190. You have fought for too long, you have prayed for too long.

  191. It is time for me to step into your space.

  192. There was this story by Reinhard Bonnke about this man who invited Christ into his house.

  193. So he told Jesus, you can occupy every room.

  194. He gave him the sitting room, gave him the kitchen, gave him all the other rooms.

  195. Then, when he came to the bedroom, he said this one, jesus, I have stuff here and so for now, the devil would come every midnight to come and terrorize this person.

  196. So that night the devil came and started pushing his door.

  197. He started screaming and fighting with this person.

  198. He screamed and called on Jesus, come and help me.

  199. I'm struggling with this person.

  200. Call the devil.

  201. I'm resisting and pushing, struggling, shuffling, sweating.

  202. Jesus never turned up.

  203. Then he went to the bedroom.

  204. He told Jesus, because I gave you this room, that room, the other and the other and the other, but you didn't come to help me.

  205. This night, jesus told him you have not given me every space.

  206. Let me occupy every room and let this house be my house.

  207. When I'll take over this house, I'll be the one in charge.

  208. He said if that is the case, jesus, have every room Now.

  209. Jesus occupied the whole house.

  210. Every room Now.

  211. Jesus occupied the whole house.

  212. At midnight the devil came, as usual, trying to push into the house.

  213. Then this man had Jesus Coming from the upstairs, walking downstairs, and the man was rushing to the door, as has been his usual habit, struggling with the devil.

  214. Jesus told him step aside, the house belongs to me.

  215. I've taken over every room.

  216. The moment the devil opened that door and saw Jesus, he said oh sorry, this is the wrong house.

  217. Give Jesus every space.

  218. Give Jesus every space.

  219. Give Jesus every space.

  220. Actually, the Bible says in Psalm 24, verse 1,.

    Psalms 24:1

  221. The earth is the Lord's and everything in it, everything belongs to him.

  222. Put your hope, put your trust in the Lord.

  223. Zechariah 4,6,.

  224. The Bible says Not by might nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord.

  225. What is this mighty mountain in your life that is becoming a stumbling block between you and God?

  226. What is this thing that seems to be too big to you and you are feeling like you can no longer move Because of the weight of this condition?

  227. The Bible says in Zechariah 4, verse 6.

    Zechariah 4:6

  228. It is not by might, it is not by power, but by my spirit.

  229. Do you know?

  230. The spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells inside of you.

  231. The same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells inside of us.

  232. How much power do we have within us?

  233. I pray that you will be able to comprehend, appropriate this power of God that is at work within you.

  234. Then you will know that with God, there is nothing impossible.

  235. Be strong In the Lord and in his Mighty power.

  236. In Luke 10.

  237. The Bible says I have given you authority To trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome some of the powers of the enemy.

  238. Some of the power, all the power of the enemy, and it says nothing will harm you.

  239. That is what the Bible is saying about you.

  240. You have authority to trample over every scheme of the enemy.

  241. Victory is your portion.

  242. You are armed for victory.

  243. Let me transition To the other point, the believer's protection.

  244. You see, god has prepared the full armor for you.

  245. It is his armor that the enemy cannot be able to penetrate.

  246. You are favorably disposed against the enemy.

  247. I want you to understand that, that, with God on your side, this is what we would say in Kiswahili God amekupendelea against the enemy and he decides because the enemy comes in this direction.

  248. I will give them an armor that the devil cannot penetrate.

  249. Hallelujah, this is a good God that he knows there is an enemy, but he prepares the enemy, but he prepares you in advance, before the enemy comes to attack.

  250. He has already given you an armor.

  251. This armor is not a military uniform.

  252. It is not like a kofia you put on and put off whenever you feel hot.

  253. It's not like shoes that you wear and when you want to relax you put away.

  254. It is not like a shield which you just put on or you just carry with you and put away.

  255. You have to understand that the enemy of your soul is constantly at battle.

  256. Usif kiriye shetani amelala.

  257. He's not asleep.

  258. He is a schemer.

  259. He is still scheming.

  260. He knows you are in church and asking God to minister to you.

  261. He is one devil who is defeated.

  262. But he has never understood that he has been defeated by the blood of Jesus.

  263. He still thinks he has control and dominion over your life.

  264. And God said I will give them an armor so that when the day of the evil comes, they will be able to stand.

  265. The Bible says it is like putting on Christ.

  266. You are putting on Christ in you, so that when the enemy comes, he sees Christ and does not see you, because you are hidden in God, in Christ, he says in Ephesians, chapter 6.

    Ephesians 6 chapter mention

  267. Stand firm with the belt of truth.

  268. Stand firm with the belt of truth.

  269. Stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around your waist.

  270. You know one of the things the devil does.

  271. The devil likes to distort the truth.

  272. Remember when he was in the Garden of Eden?

  273. The first thing he did was to distort the truth.

  274. Did God really say that you should not eat of this food?

  275. Distorting the truth.

  276. In Matthew 4, he's asking Jesus are you really, did God say, trying to distort the truth?

  277. In this day and age, the truth has become very rare.

  278. It has become a very rare commodity.

  279. But let me introduce you to the ultimate truth John 14, verse 6.

    John 14:6

  280. Jesus says I am the way, I am the truth and I am the life.

  281. No one comes to the Father but by me.

  282. I am the truth and I am the life.

  283. No one comes to the Father but by me.

  284. Put on the belt of truth, be a person of truth.

  285. The person of truth is the person of Christ, because Christ is the truth.

  286. The Bible says in John, chapter 8, verse 41, that when the devil is speaking, he speaks lies, because when he speaks lies, he's speaking his native language.

    John 8:41

  287. Let us be men and women of truth.

  288. May we be transparent in the way we live this life.

  289. Put on the belt of truth buckled around your waist.

  290. The Bible says in John 8, 32, to the disciples who believed in him, jesus said if you hold on to my teaching, you are really my disciples.

  291. Then you will know the truth and the truth will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

  292. It is this truth, it is Jesus, the truth, that sets you free.

  293. Is it also true that if Jesus sets you free, then the lies will bind you?

  294. It is a simple choice Choose Jesus and be choice.

  295. Choose Jesus and be free.

  296. Choose Jesus and be free.

  297. Choose Jesus and be free.

  298. Put on the belt of truth.

  299. Put on he says in Ephesians 6.14 the breastplate of righteousness.

  300. Put on the breastplate of righteousness.

  301. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5.21.

  302. Christ, who had no sin, was made sin for you so that you may become the righteousness of God.

  303. Jesus became sin for you because you cannot be able to overcome sin in your strength.

  304. Man is totally depraved, beyond cure.

  305. We all need Jesus.

  306. We are totally depraved in our very core by sin.

  307. Jesus became all the sins you can imagine and made you his righteousness.

  308. You are the righteousness of God in Christ, a reason for you to give praise and honor to God.

  309. This afternoon you can give a hand clap to Jesus.

  310. He became the murderer, he became the liar, he became the fornicator.

  311. He became all the sins you can ever imagine.

  312. Why?

  313. So that you may be qualified, so that you may become the righteousness of God.

  314. Let me say there is no righteousness outside of Christ.

  315. It is only Christ who makes you right.

  316. If you are not born again, you are in great trouble.

  317. You are in great trouble.

  318. Why are in great trouble?

  319. Why?

  320. Because you have not experienced.

  321. You will be without the breastplate of righteousness.

  322. You cannot go to war without the breastplate of righteousness and capacity to penetrate you because you do not have the righteousness of Christ in you.

  323. Put on the whole armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, put on the shoes of the readiness, of the gospel of peace.

  324. We must be ready, with our shoes fitted, to advance this gospel, to move forward.

  325. We cannot fail to proclaim this good news.

  326. I remember when you were promoted.

  327. You want everyone to know that you have been promoted, when your son or your daughter is getting married.

  328. You want everybody to know when you are graduating from your campus.

  329. You want everybody to know when good things are happening in your life.

  330. That is good news.

  331. How much more the gospel of the kingdom of God, the Bible, has called us the light of this world.

  332. We are the city on a hill that cannot be hidden.

  333. Yes, we are the salt shakers of this world, bringing favor where God has placed us.

  334. Our light of the gospel must shine Early.

  335. This morning in the service we were saying God forbid that there should be a leader in this country who says that you know, we are looking for believers and we want to put them somewhere.

  336. Would you be suspect?

  337. Would you be suspect because of the way you live?

  338. May God help us that we may not be ashamed of this gospel, like Paul says in Romans 1.16, not being ashamed of the good news.

  339. Standing up for Jesus, stand up, stand up for Jesus.
