September Week 4 Commission Thursday: Contending for Souls: The Power of Prayer and Spiritual Warfare

Welcome to Commission Thursday, a place where we believe.

Every believer is the carrier of the gospel of light that shines in darkness and darkness cannot comprehend it.

Every believer is an ambassador of Jesus Christ and every believer is a witness of the gospel of truth.

Today I bring you a message titled Contending for Souls.

The human soul is very precious and very valuable.

Your soul is very precious and very valuable and that's why it was not the will of God that anyone to perish, but all of us to come to that fullness of repentance and acceptance of salvation that has been offered to us freely through Jesus Christ.

When you read the book of Jude, verse 20, we are admonished that we should build up ourselves onto the most holy faith by praying in the spirit.

So, as a believer, you have a responsibility to pray, and not only praying, but praying in the spirit, a warfare kind of prayer.

Remember, we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against principalities, rulers of darkness and wicked forces in the high places.

Therefore, we need to intensify our warfare by praying in the spirit.

It continues to tell us, verse 21, jude.

So, number one, we have the responsibility to pray, and praying in the spirit.

Number two we need to watch ourselves the way we are walking this journey of faith Because, remember, the world is watching and the people are watching us and we are the written epistle that they are reading.

Therefore, we need to watch ourselves in the love of God.

And then number three, verse 22,.

It tells us in the love of God.

It tells us, and on the same and on the sum, have compassion, making a difference, but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by flesh.

That is walking in purity, walking in the righteousness of God.

To be an effective soul winner, you need to be prayerful, you need to be watchful and you need to walk in the righteousness of God, because you are the light and the salt of the world and people are watching your lifestyle and I pray that this message ministers to you and awaken you to spiritual warfare.

Contending for the souls, reaching out to them by being spent, and spending out for the kingdom, because great is the reward that is with them that will win the souls for the kingdom.

The power and authority has been given to you.

You just need to engage it by trading against the scorpion and serpent and making a difference in the world of the living.
