  1. I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior, jesus Christ.

  2. I would like us to look at some scriptures that are very, very powerful, that remind us that renewal from God is possible and is also very close.

  3. I will read from Isaiah, chapter 40, verse 29 to verse 31.

    Isaiah 40:29

  4. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

  5. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall.

  6. But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.

  7. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary.

  8. They will walk and not faint.

  9. The theme of our season is open door renewal, and that scripture is a scripture that highlights the fact that this renewal is possible.

  10. There are three things I want to share with us about open door renewal, based on the verses that I just read.

  11. Number one there is renewal for the weary.

  12. Number two this renewal comes from above.

  13. And number three the renewal is for us to do exploits.

  14. Renewal for the weary.

  15. Young people get tired and you know you may feel like you're very strong, but a time does come when you get tired.

  16. Even vehicles cannot keep running forever.

  17. At some point you need to stop a vehicle at a service station so that the oil can be removed, a new oil can be put in and so that the engine can be refreshed by the addition of new oil.

  18. It is not possible to keep going and going and going and never stop for renewal.

  19. Human beings need renewal and in this particular passage here, we are so thankful and grateful to know that this renewal is for the weary.

  20. You are there and you are feeling tired.

  21. You are feeling weary.

  22. I have good news for you in that there is renewal for the weary.

  23. I have good news for you in that there is renewal for the weary.

  24. I remember one time when Elijah was very tired and he was giving up on life, and then, suddenly, the Lord, you know, sent an angel and Elijah's strength was actually renewed.

  25. This renewal is for the weary.

  26. Are you there?

  27. Are you tired?

  28. Then you are a good candidate for the renewal that comes from God, and so I invite you today to just open up and acknowledge that you need strength.

  29. You know you need renewal, but secondly, this renewal is from above.

  30. You know people go to different kinds of places to get renewal, but according to this scripture, god has the power and the strength.

  31. We need to be refreshed.

  32. Look up to God for renewal.

  33. Don't look this way or look the other way.

  34. Simply look up to God.

  35. You'll be surprised what God is able to do.

  36. And today there's an invitation for you to seek renewal from the Lord.

  37. This renewal is from above.

  38. That's why this scripture says they that hope in the Lord, they that come into the presence of the Lord and hope in the Lord, their strength shall be renewed.

  39. But finally, of course, this renewal is to do exploits.

  40. When God renews our strength, it's so that we can serve him.

  41. You know the picture I have of renewal of strength, you know, is the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit came upon ordinary people and they were able to do extraordinary things.

  42. They were gathered somewhere, afraid they had lost their strength.

  43. You know they did not have the Lord Jesus physically in their midst and they were wondering how do we move from here?

  44. But suddenly, all of a sudden, the power of God came upon them and these people were renewed.

  45. They were able to do exploits.

  46. Acts, chapter 1 and verse 8 says to do exploits.

    Acts 1 chapter mention

  47. Acts, chapter 1 and verse 8 says you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in Judea, in Samaria and to the outermost parts of the world.

    Acts 1 chapter mention

  48. Today I'm making an invitation.

  49. You are there.

  50. You need new strength.

  51. The invitation is look up, they that wait upon the Lord.

  52. He shall renew their strength.

  53. They shall fly with wings like eagles.

  54. They shall run and not be weary.

  55. They shall walk and not faint.

  56. Look up to God, ask for new strength.

  57. God is able to release new strength, new power into your life and you will do exploits.

  58. You thought your life was over.

  59. You thought you could not move another mile.

  60. God is saying look up to me, trust me, I will renew your strength.

  61. And may you receive your portion of strength right now, in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior, jesus Christ.

  62. God bless you as you receive new strength.

  63. Amen, thank you.
