November Week 3 Theme Vision: Embracing Spiritual Renewal

Praise the Lord Church.

Again.

We want to welcome you to this Word of the Week, and what a joy that we could be able to share with you in this moment.

My name is Pastor Mark Sinjogona and I just want to take a couple of minutes to bring a word of refreshment as we continue on this message of renewal.

And I want to bring to our attention three subdivisions from the book of Psalms 103.

Number one, the renewal of the spirit.

Number two, the renewal of the soul.

And then number three, the renewal of the body spirit, soul and body.

Paul, when he's teaching the church of Corinth, continues to encourage them that the spirit, the soul and the body must be found blameless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What does it mean?

Number one, to have the renewal of the spirit.

When you look at Psalm 103, that is verse 4, it says when the Spirit is renewed, it means that it has been separated from every form of destruction.

It means, by the virtue of salvation, we have found our essence in Jesus Christ and therefore we are no longer those that have sinned, because our sins have been taken away and we have encountered the life of God that continues to push us forward, even by his grace, the life of God that continues to push us forward.

Even by his grace, he says that those that have been renewed in their spirits, their lives, have been saved from destructions.

Now number two the renewal of the soul.

When you look at verse one of the same chapter, psalm 103, verse one, he says bless the Lord, o my soul and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

The word bless means that there is no more corruption.

Every time you see the presence of a blessing, it means that corruption has been taken away, that thing that has capacity to bring decay and bring harm and bring every form of shame.

For the Bible says in John, chapter 10, verse 10, that I have come that you may have life and have it in abundance, because a thief only comes to steal, to kill and to destroy.

John 10:10

I have taken away all these corruptions so that you may be able to find the essence of the benefits that come to your soul.

The blessings of the Lord have a way of refreshing us, refreshing our mind, refreshing us from the inside out, so that we may be able to go forward, even in the work that God has given us.

And I pray that this week may the Lord refresh your soul so that you can go deeper into it and count the many benefits that have already come into your life by virtue of his blessing.

And then, lastly, the renewal of the body.

We know that this body has been given to us as an instrument of dominion to be able to serve God in all its expressions.

It is a weapon that God gave us to be able to pounce against the forces of darkness by virtue of our dominion power.

And this body must be kept blameless in terms of our righteous living, in terms of our holy living and everything else that puts us on the verge of righteousness, to ensure that this body is constantly on the move and useful for the master.

There are many things that come to derail us as we go along all kinds of sins, all kinds of derailments that come with the corruption of the body, whether it is sexual immorality and every kind of filth that tries to project us to walk away from the patterns of God.

But there is a renewal that comes to us by the power of purity that is imparted upon us where we enter into the realization of Romans, chapter 12, verse 1, where we give our bodies as a living sacrifice.

Romans 12:1

This week.

I pray that the fullness of God shall be upon you even more and more.

May you experience a renewal of your spirit.

May you experience a renewal of your soul and may you experience a renewal of your spirit.

May you experience a renewal of your soul and may you experience a renewal of your body.

I wish you God's blessings, and may you find this heartfelt renewal as you go through this week and the rest of the year.
