-
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another episode of Commission Thursday, where we believe that every believer is the light, every believer is the salt, every believer is Christ's ambassador and every believer is the carrier of the message of good news.
-
So turn with me.
-
In the book of John, john, chapter 20, verse 19 and verse 21.
-
And the scripture says On the evening of the first day of the week, when the disciples were together with the doors locked for the fear of the Jews, jesus came and stood among them and said Peace, be with you.
-
Verse 21,.
-
Again, jesus said Peace, be with you, as the Father has sent me.
-
I am with you.
-
Verse 21,.
-
Again, jesus said Peace, be with you, as the Father has sent me.
-
I am sending you.
-
Praise God.
-
Every time I read this portion of scripture, I think I'm mesmerized by what is happening.
-
The disciples were in a place whereby they were hiding, and they had to lock all the doors because of one fear the Jews were persecuting them.
-
So they decided that, instead of us facing that persecution, let's hide ourselves behind and lock the doors so that these people will not have access to where we are.
-
Then, in the middle of all that, jesus Christ comes and says I know you people are afraid.
-
Then he says peace, be with you.
-
Then the next thing, he's telling them that I'm sending you to those people you are hiding away from, because the people you are hiding away from they need what you people carry, and that is the good news.
-
And immediately, these disciples, they had the courage and the boldness to get out of their comfort to go and proclaim the good news from the people they were hiding from.
-
And this is the reality that we are facing today, majority of us as Christian.
-
God has blessed us, god has given us everything that we need.
-
And the only thing that we are doing today we are hiding in the four corners of the church.
-
We are hiding in our comfort zone.
-
We are hiding from the people who need to hear this good news Because, number one, we are judging them that these people don't deserve to hear this.
-
So we are selfish.
-
And we are judging them that these people don't deserve to hear this.
-
So we are selfish and we are keeping it to ourselves rather than sharing these good news to those people out there.
-
So this is a wake up call Are you one of those Christian who is hiding in the comfort zone?
-
Are you one of those Christian who is hiding in the four corners of the church?
-
Are you one of those Christian who don't want to share what they carry to the world?
-
Because the reality is this world is dying, this world is in deep pain, this world is in deep trouble and the only people who can deliver them are the people who carry this good news.
-
So my challenge to you this week get out of your comfort zone, open that door, go to those people who seem to be persecuting you and proclaim this gospel to them, because they are yearning for that peace that you carry, that favor that you carry, that anointing that you carry.
-
So let's open the door, get out of our comfort zone, go where those people are and proclaim the gospel, because we have one assignment in this earth to number one be the salt, to be the light, to be Christ's ambassador and to be the carry of this message and take this message to where these people are.
-
So may God bless you as you open that door to reach out to the world that is lost, that is least, and they don't feel to be loved.
-
You are the solution to them.
-
May God bless you.
