-
And so in this new month, we want to read the scripture for today While we are still standing.
-
Again, we appreciate the worship team for leading us so well.
-
Amen Together with the band.
-
John 3, verse 1 to 8.
-
Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus, who was a member of the Jewish ruling council.
-
He came to Jesus at night and said Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God, for no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.
-
Jesus replied very truly.
-
I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.
-
How can someone be born when they are old?
-
Nicodemus asked surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother's womb to be born?
-
Jesus answered very truly.
-
I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.
-
Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to Spirit.
-
You should not be surprised at my saying you must be born again.
-
The wind blows wherever it pleases.
-
You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going.
-
So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.
-
This is God's word.
-
God's people say it Amen.
-
We may be seated in God's presence.
-
I'm glad you came to church today.
-
I'm glad you came to church today, so at least I could have somebody to preach to.
-
Let's pray, father.
-
We just want to appreciate this moment in time when we pause to hear the word of God, and so we take authority over every work of the enemy and bring it under the blood of Jesus.
-
And now we pray that our hearts will be open to hear your word, our ears will be open to receive it, our hearts will be open to hear your word, our ears will be open to receive it, our minds will be able to understand it and, father, we'll be able to have a deposit of the Holy Spirit today that will take us to the next level.
-
We thank you for hearing our prayer, those online in the pavilion, online and right here in the sanctuary.
-
We want to say thank you.
-
All glory goes back to you and we say amen, amen.
-
Let me take a moment to thank everyone who came for the anointing service.
-
That day was seriously a blessing.
-
There are those of you who came early around 10, and you're able to find a seat, and there are those who came around 1 o'clock, hello, and you found that there were people who do not come to Parklands Baptist Church who already occupied your seat.
-
You found yourself in the pavilion, some of you found yourself in the tent, but the important thing, you are here and that God came through.
-
I was told that those who came in physically were more than 9,000.
-
9,000.
-
Counted 9,000, counted 9,000.
-
On Facebook we had about 6,000, 4, 4,000, 12,000.
-
So we had, we had YouTube and Facebook, and 12,000 were online.
-
Amen, amen.
-
So we are just grateful for all those who planned, but also grateful to the Holy Spirit who came through for us.
-
Amen.
-
Why don't we give the Holy Spirit a big hand?
-
Amen, amen.
-
Why don't we give the Holy Spirit a big hand?
-
Amen.
-
So God is doing something new this year.
-
This is an uncommon year, especially, and we give glory to God.
-
This month we are introducing a new topic and it is called the Uncommon Zoe Life and I want to take a few minutes just to introduce and explain some vocabularies that may be new for some people.
-
Zoe, for your information, is not a name for a certain perfume, hallelujah, hallelujah.
-
Though there are perfumes, we call Zoe.
-
Either you say Zoe or Zoe.
-
It is not also a name of a lady, and if you're called Zoe Zoe, keep that name.
-
It is a good name Buona se fie.
-
Many words that we use in English find their origin in the Greek language, either the Latin or the Greek language, and some of those words we have just brought them into English, though they are not English words.
-
One word like that is philosophy.
-
Philosophy is a Greek word made of two words, but they're in Greek.
-
The first word is philo and the other one is sophia.
-
When you put them together, you get philosophy.
-
Philo means to love something, sophia means wisdom.
-
When you connect them, they become philosophy, and so it is the what, the love of wisdom.
-
We have another word we use psychology.
-
Psychology is made of two Greek words Logos, which is logic, where we get logic, and we have psuche.
-
Psuche is a Greek word for the soul or the mind, so matters of the mind.
-
Psychology Matters of the mind, so it is the study of the mind and matters of the mind, psychology.
-
Then, if you went to school, you studied also a subject called biology.
-
Biology is not an English word.
-
Again, two words in Greek, bio, meaning life, and logi, meaning study, put together, it's the study of what Of life.
-
So you get biology.
-
Then now we have what we call Zoe.
-
It's a new word that when Jesus came he was able to use that word To communicate A new life that had come To the earth.
-
And so I go to John, chapter 1.
John 1 chapter mention
-
To be able to open that Scripture about this Zoe that has come to us.
-
And so the Bible says in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.
-
He was with God in the beginning.
-
Through him, all things were made.
-
Now, who is this him?
-
Who is the him?
-
Now, remember we have not even remember this the first chapter.
-
We're just starting the book, chapter 1, and it says go back to verse one.
-
Verse one says in the beginning was what the word in greek that word is the word logos, the full knowledge of god in the beginning was the logos or the logos.
-
The Logos was with God and the Logos was God.
-
Then it says he was with God.
-
Now, who is the he?
-
It's the word.
-
We don't have his name yet, but he's the word.
-
He was with God in the beginning, verse 3.
-
Through him, who is the him?
-
The word, the Logos, through him.
-
Who is the him?
-
The word, the logos.
-
Through him, all things were made.
-
Without him, nothing was made.
-
That has been made.
-
Verse 4.
-
In him, now, who is the him Was life.
-
Now that word life is the word Zoe, z-o-e Zoe.
-
This is what we call the God life.
-
We have the bio life, which is the human, animal life, but we have the Zoe life, which is the God life.
-
In him was Zoe, and that Zoe Was the, the light of all mankind.
-
Then fast forward to verse 14.
-
Verse 14 then says it is still introducing the word.
-
It says the word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.
-
We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only son.
-
Now we know that that word became flesh.
-
It was actually who it was.
-
Actually.
-
It is written there, verse 14.
-
It is who the son?
-
Now we know very well that 14, is who the Son?
-
Now we know very well that the Son is who Is Jesus.
-
So in these particular verses Jesus is not mentioned by name.
-
It is interesting because, john, when he wrote this book, christianity was already growing, jesus had already gone to heaven and there reached a time when people did not understand fully that this Jesus, this life, was not a religious life, and so John had to try to explain some things.
-
Now, if you read Matthew, mark and Luke, they don't start with the beginning, they start with what we call the genealogy and it goes.
-
One of them starts with Adam and comes, comes, comes out to Jesus.
-
The other one starts from down and goes, goes back to Adam.
-
So Matthew had a genealogy, luke had a genealogy, mark just started talking.
-
Hello, john is explaining and he's saying that the life that visited us was a different life, it was a Zoe life, it was a God life.
-
And in trying to explain it he writes the book of John and he says the reason why this new life came it could only be introduced by the one who had that life, and that person was who Jesus.
-
Now, remember, the human life also had a beginning.
-
That is why in Genesis, chapter 1, verse 1, this is how the verse starts in Genesis 1.
-
And it says this in the beginning who God created?
-
So life started Human life.
-
But in Genesis go back, not Genesis John, chapter 1,.
John 1 chapter mention
-
There now it says in the beginning was the Word and he was now introducing a new creation.
-
That was the old creation.
-
This is the new creation and Zoe is a new life.
-
It is a life of God, and only Jesus can give that life.
-
That's what we want to talk about this month, and I want to say three things about this life.
-
Number one this life is unique.
-
Number two this life is unshakable.
-
Number three this life is unstoppable.
-
This life is unique because this life had never been there before Jesus came, because this life had never been there before Jesus came, and so everybody in the Old Testament did not have this life until Jesus came.
-
And so when Jesus came to this earth, not only did he have bio-life, which came from Mary, he had zoe-life that came from who From God, and he began to live that came from who From God, and he began to live that life among us, he began to demonstrate that life among us.
-
It was amazing.
-
John, chapter 2, he goes to a wedding and turns water to wine.
John 2 chapter mention
-
John, chapter 3, he meets a religious man and he tells him you must be born again.
John 3 chapter mention
-
In chapter 4, he meets a Samaritan woman and says I have water for you to drink that you will thirst no more.
-
In chapter 5, he meets a man who was a cripple for 38 years, looks at him and he says stand up, pick up your bed and walk.
-
Chapter 6.
-
He finds some hungry people who have come for a service and it is about lunch time hello, and sometimes they are not listening to the preacher who have come for a service and it is about lunchtime Hello, and sometimes they're not listening to the preacher.
-
But these guys have been listening to Jesus for three days and Jesus introduces and does a miracle.
-
Then he says I am the bread of life.
-
Chapter 7, he says If any man thirst, let him come to me and do what and drink.
-
Out of his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.
-
Chapter 8.
-
Zoe meets a woman Caught in adultery and they say we must stone this person.
-
The Lord says stone him.
-
Jesus goes on his knees, begins to write and looks up and says if there's anybody here who has never sinned, stone her.
-
Thank God, nobody stoned her, because everybody who was standing there had sinned.
-
Pastor Kiniti, I believe.
-
When he wrote down he actually wrote the name of the other guy and he had a big stone, so he wrote a name there.
-
Not the name anybody knew, but he wrote a name.
-
Only the mother used to call him.
-
You know those names.
-
Your mom calls you when you are in trouble.
-
Hello Yahabura, those names, those names, those names.
-
And he stood up and told the lady I condemn you not go and sin no more.
-
Chapter 9, jesus meets a man, born blind, puts mud on his face, tells him to go and wash.
-
He comes back, seeing the man, has only one testimony Once I was blind.
-
Now I see.
-
This is the Zoe life changing lives on earth.
-
Chapter 10.
-
The Zoe life now says John 10, 10.
-
Let me read that verse.
-
Jesus speaks and he says this Remember this is a unique life.
-
He says the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.
-
But I have come that they may have Zoe and have and destroy, but I have come that they may have Zoe and have it abundantly.
-
Let me tell you this Jesus came that you may have life, zoe.
-
He did not come for you to have a religion.
-
He came that you may have a life that came from above.
-
That is why Jesus told Nicodemus you must be born again.
-
Another life, a new life.
-
In John, chapter 10, chapter 11, jesus raises Lazarus from the dead and the Bible says that Jesus said I am the resurrection and the life.
John 10 chapter mention
-
I am Zoe and the life I am Zoe.
-
Zoe raises things, zoe does not bury things, zoe raises things.
-
I am that kind of life.
-
And John continues to share Chapter 12, 13, 14.
-
Then Jesus talks about the Holy Spirit who will come and give us that Zoe life.
-
And that is why we are talking about spirit-led rebirth, because only the spirit can give us that birth.
-
John 3, 6 says this.
-
If I can read that verse again, this is a unique life.
-
The Bible says John 3, 6 flesh gives birth to flesh.
-
This is a unique life.
-
The Bible says John 3, 6, flesh gives birth to flesh, but spirit gives birth to spirit.
-
Cows give birth to Cows.
-
Dogs give birth to, to what Puppies are small dogs.
-
So dogs give birth to, they're just dogs.
-
Thank you, jesus.
-
Puppies grow up and become Puppies, don't become giraffes, hello.
-
Giraffes give birth to.
-
So a giraffe can only give giraffe life.
-
A dog can only give dog life.
-
And that is why sometimes it's very bad when somebody calls you that name.
-
You feel very bad, especially if they call you Nkikuyu.
-
They call you that name Nkikuyu.
-
It's a very bad word.
-
Nobody wants to hear that word.
-
Cats give cat life.
-
God gives God life.
-
This is the Zoe life you're talking about and as I'm opening up to share this.
-
I want to say this it's a unique life and I want to say this, the reason why I'm talking about this new life to people who already have it is very important, because sometimes it's very easy to make non-believers become believers.
-
God convicts them of sin, they come to Jesus quickly and they are saved.
-
But one of the most difficult things, pastor Kenity, is helping believers understand who they are, that they are unique, that they have a unique life.
-
You have a Zoe life, you see.
-
That's why we need the Holy Spirit that the day you get saved now you need a tutor by the name of the Holy Spirit to help you understand what has just happened.
-
You know, sometimes you have this person who has been what has just happened.
-
You know, sometimes you have this person who has been living in a 10 by 10 house for about 13 years.
-
10 by 10 house, 13 years.
-
He's used to that place.
-
He's used to going to toilet that are shared outside For 13 years.
-
The guy is used to that.
-
And it's not that it is bad to be in a 10 by 10 house, but there are some people who sometimes are in that kind of a situation.
-
Some people it is even worse.
-
But can you imagine that person in the 10 by 10 house?
-
One day they encounter a rich man and the rich man blesses them and says here is a key to your mansion.
-
And he's given a mansion which has about 15 bedrooms, five sitting rooms, three kitchens, two, 14 toilets Hallelujah, about five stores to put things in.
-
And now he's in this house.
-
This gentleman leaves this carton by ten, carries his belongings and enters this mansion, carries his belongings and enters this mansion.
-
Which room do you think he's going to occupy in that mansion?
-
He's going to go directly where?
-
To the store, because he's been used to a 10 by 10 house and he was so used to it that he was not just living to a 10 by 10 house and he was so used to it that he was not just living in that 10 by 10.
-
He developed a 10 by 10 mindset.
-
He carried that mindset into this mansion and even carried those things into that store, because that's what he's used to, even though he owns the entire mansion.
-
And so it is up to the Holy Spirit to now begin to tutor him that, hey, you have more than this store Every room here, every toilet.
-
Because in fact that guy, when he goes to the loo.
-
He's looking for a toilet outside, but he has.
-
How many toilets did?
-
I say there's 14 toilets Today.
-
You can use this one.
-
Then you can use this one, you can use this one.
-
You know this is your house and let me tell you this this 10 by 10 is the life we lived before we met Jesus and we got so used to it.
-
The problems with it, the challenges with it, the limitations with it, all kinds of it.
-
We were used to it.
-
Then one day, kiniti made an invitation and you get saved, but you carried your mindset with you into this new life.
-
But now it required Pastor Kinitina and his team to take you into discipleship classes so that your mind could be opened, that you not only have this one room, you have a bigger mansion, you have something to enjoy and let me tell you this there are Christians who are still living the 10 by 10 mindset in the mansion.
-
You are saved, but you're not enjoying your salvation.
-
You're born again, but you don't know the riches that you have received.
-
And that is why Paul prayed for the Ephesians, and this is what he prayed Ephesians, chapter 1, verse 16.
-
And this is what he said.
-
He really prayed for them, for their eyes to open, and he said I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.
-
I have not.
-
I keep asking that the God of our Lord, jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the spirit of what wisdom and revelation so that you may know him better.
-
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened In order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people and his incomparably great power for us who believe so.
-
He's saying Ephesians God has given you an amazing inheritance.
-
It is called the Zoe life and it is a unique life.
-
It is a blessed life, but you're using too little of it.
-
And it is a unique life.
-
It is a blessed life, but you're using too little of it.
-
So the anointing that we received, the vision that we cast in January, is to help us realize we have a mansion to occupy, hallelujah.
-
We have a place to step in and the Holy Spirit will help us.
-
Ignorance can be a big problem and I pray that in 2025, you will not be ignorant.
-
So look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor ignorance out.
-
Wisdom in Hallelujah.
-
The mind has to shift, you have to be, be renewed.
-
You have to understand that god has given a unique life.
-
It is called a new creation.
-
Second corinthians 5, 17.
-
Let me read that for you.
-
It is new, it has never been.
-
It is zoe.
-
We have received something.
-
It says if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come.
-
The old has gone, the new is here.
-
In fact, it calls us a name Verse 20.
-
It says this about this new creation.
-
It says in verse 20, we are therefore, what, christ ambassadors?
-
Can you imagine You're an ambassador.
-
How are ambassadors addressed?
-
Your excellency, so are you sitting next to an ambassador, so can you address them?
-
Have you ever had somebody addressing people?
-
You know you've forgotten somebody's name and say hey, hey, hey, nani, nani, tell your neighbor from today, I'm not Nani.
-
Imagine calling an ambassador hey, hey, hey, wait, wait.
-
Your Excellency, we are Christ's ambassadors.
-
We have a new thing.
-
Look at verse 20.
-
Verse 20 says in that verse I mean 21,.
-
Go to 21.
-
In 21 it says God made him, who had no sin, to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
-
That is why you should not use phrases like this I am a sinner saved by grace.
-
Don't ever say that statement I am a sinner, saved by grace.
-
You are using a statement in another statement that cancels the other one.
-
I am a sinner saved by grace.
-
You're using a statement in another statement that cancels the other one.
-
I am a sinner.
-
You cannot say I am a sinner and then say I am saved.
-
Are you not telling me yes, you are a sinner, but now you are saved by grace and you are saved?
-
You are a new creation, you are a brand new person, and so you begin to grow into this new.
-
You don't grow quickly.
-
It is a struggle.
-
I remember when I got my first car.
-
I was a pastor at that time, but I got this car from a deacon who was from out of the country.
-
He was working with the United Nations and he had a car that he needed to release.
-
So he gave me a car.
-
Hallelujah, it was a Datsun Nissan Sunny.
-
I don't know if you remember those cars.
-
Datsun Nissan Sunny Very simple car and a good car.
-
It had three gears, gear one.
-
Nissan Sunny Very simple car and a good car.
-
It had three gears Gear one, two, three.
-
You just enjoyed yourself and then reverse, thank you Jesus.
-
And I drove that car for quite some time and I used to call it my car, my car, my car.
-
It was my car.
-
I was not married.
-
Then I got married.
-
One thing that used to annoy Martha a lot those first days, just first days can you get my keys, the keys to my car?
-
Can you wash my car?
-
Now, for me I was okay because I was in a 10 by 10 mindset my car, my car, my car.
-
So I'm talking to husbands right now because Valentine is coming.
-
Valentine is this thing of saying my this, my that, my this and you're married.
-
That vocabulary needs to disappear out of your system.
-
It's only the ladies who are saying amen, am I talking to men?
-
But you see, those days it was my car and it really hustled matter until we got another car Much later, a Subaru Legacy, thank you Jesus.
-
Wine red in color, brand new, gifted to us.
-
Wine red in color, brand new, gifted to us by the church.
-
Now I could not call it my car because it was given together.
-
Upper and Martha enjoyed that car more than enjoyed the Nissan car, because that car was the oldest, passed away.
-
The new has come.
-
But let me tell you about this mindset I had.
-
I took a journey to Ebue, where Martha comes from, and I drove that Subaru Legacy from Nairobi to Ebue and back on three gears Gear one, gear two, gear three.
-
And I could.
-
That car had five gears but I used three because I was used to using three gears.
-
The problem was not the car, the problem was what a mindset.
-
And that is why you can be saved and still walk like a non-believer.
-
You can be saved but you are still smoking.
-
You can be saved but you're still smoking.
-
You can be saved but still catering other people's wives.
-
I'm telling you, it's a mindset and you have to grow out of that mindset and say the old has passed away, the new has come and I would drive that car, that Subaru.
-
It was a good car, I would drive it, but three gears.
-
One time that's why you need a moment of revelation.
-
One time Martha asked me why don't you drive to gear four and five?
-
She's asking me and I'm driving and I said Nana Nendesha Igari Sulize Maswali Aujinga Apa.
-
Of course that is a man who has been caught offside.
-
That's how men speak when they have been caught offside.
-
That's how men speak when they have been caught offside Because they have asked a very good question but you have no answers.
-
So I told Martha this is me in driving.
-
So one time when Martha was not there, this is me in driving so one time when Martha was not there, because that question actually began to go into my brain why aren't you using these other gears?
-
So one time I'm on Mombasa Road, it is clear from Nyayo Stadium, clear Going to Cabanas, clear, to the airport, and I knew I had a straight road.
-
I revved that car and put it in gear one, two, three.
-
Moving from three to four was actually a challenge Because I had never moved that, because in my head I had this myth that if you shift to gear four, five, this car will fly off.
-
So I was not planning to fly off at Jomo Kenyatta airport, but I tried.
-
I was trying to move from that store into the sitting room, but I tried.
-
I was alone.
-
I could make my own mistakes without my wife telling me.
-
It is good to be married.
-
So I'm alone.
-
I'm driving gear 1, gear 2, gear 3.
-
Then I went to gear 4.
-
And the car just kind of settled.
-
And then I moved it to gear 5.
-
And the car quieted down and it went Wah.
-
And I told myself why?
-
Why didn't I know this when I was going to a buoy?
-
Why, foolishness, wisdom.
-
Today we are saying in Jesus name, move from that 10 by 10 room.
-
You have a mansion to enjoy.
-
In Jesus' name, you have a mansion to enjoy.
-
This is a unique life, this is a Jesus life and I'm telling you, bible study is important and reading what is required is important, and that's why, sometimes, if you want to read more about Zoe Life, you know there's a study on page 127.
-
The study about Zoe Life.
-
And on page 142, there's the declarations of February.
-
And you can find more if you have this book, and if you don't have it, you're welcome to have it.
-
So look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor I have a unique life.
-
Tell your neighbor it is a Zoe life.
-
And though I have not used all the rooms, the mansion is still mine.
-
So, from today, what are you going to do?
-
Used all the rooms, the mansion is still mine.
-
So from today, what are you going to do?
-
You're going to find out what these other rooms are about, because one of those rooms is called the joy of the Lord is my strength, hallelujah.
-
That's one of the rooms, so that you're not always weeping and crying and screaming.
-
There's a room called the joy of the Lord is my strength.
-
There's another room that is called my God shall supply All your need According to his riches In glory.
-
Look for these rooms, they're already yours.
-
Possess them, enjoy them, cook the right food in the kitchens that are there.
-
But secondly, I was going to say a life that is unshakable.
-
Tell your neighbor it is an unshakable life.
-
Why is it unshakable?
-
Because it's a kingdom life.
-
It's a new kingdom.
-
Jesus told Nicodemus unless you're born again, you cannot enter the kingdom of God.
-
It's not about entering the church, it's about entering the kingdom of God.
-
The kingdom of God.
-
And you're free to enter the kingdom.
-
The kingdom is yours.
-
One time I went to America when I was studying in the US and of course, the first thing I did when I landed there was to look for a Baptist church.
-
And because I was in a Baptist zone the southern I was in Arkansas, arkansas, acadelfia, arkansas.
-
So tell your neighbor it was Acadelfia, arkansas and the school was called Warshadow Baptist University.
-
So I went there.
-
Then I was looking for a Baptist church.
-
The first church I went to it was called First Baptist Church.
-
When I went there, everybody in that church was 80 years plus.
-
I said I cannot fit in this church.
-
Then I went to another church.
-
It was too far and I had no transport.
-
Then I met a friend of mine who said hey, I can take you to a church.
-
I'll too far and I had no transport.
-
Then I met a friend of mine who said hey, I can take you to a church, I'll give you a ride.
-
And we went to this church and it was a good church.
-
So, as I'm going to the church like going through the stairs, when I came I met two deacons in front welcoming people.
-
So I was about to come in and I'm so confident I found a good Baptist church.
-
They stopped me and they said where are you going?
-
Now you can imagine a question like that, which you are not expecting, because I knew where I was going, and I said I'm going to this church and they said no, you cannot enter this church.
-
And I said why?
-
Then they said the church, you, you cannot enter this church.
-
And I said why?
-
Then they said the church you're looking for is not this one.
-
The church you're looking for is down the road.
-
Now, it has not hit my head what they're saying.
-
What they were actually saying is this you are a black man and the church you're looking for that has black people like you is down the road.
-
Now, of course, I had never realized that I was black.
-
That's the umbrella I'm black.
-
That's them railing hello, I'm black.
-
Yeah, in fact, I had entered a church that all of them were white.
-
It was a white baptist church.
-
No black had entered into that church, and so I kept insisting.
-
I'm coming to this church and without confidence, they asked me, by way, where are you from?
-
They said I'm from a Baptist school.
-
Right here I'm studying, but I come from Africa.
-
The moment I said Africa, they got very excited oh, you come from Africa.
-
Ah, where in Africa?
-
I come from a place called Nairobi, kenya, and they were so excited and I was invited in.
-
America has its own challenges, by the way, and I thank God for those who come, and you're white, but you come to this church and you don't feel out of place.
-
Hallelujah, let's celebrate the people who are white but are among us.
-
We thank God for them.
-
Are you zooming on somebody?
-
No, we are grateful, we thank God.
-
But in America.
-
Some of those churches have those challenges.
-
Then I went to see and that was not now, it was Kitambbo quite a bit.
-
Wuko 1988.
-
Hello 1988.
-
Maybe many things have changed since then.
-
Then I sat.
-
It was a good service.
-
We sang hymns, all kinds of things were happening.
-
It was a good service.
-
But then I realized the bench I had sat.
-
Nobody sat on it.
-
I was the only one.
-
I had enough space to worship the Lord.
-
You know, it's not like the anointing service where people sat and if you came and said Nisonge, the eyes that you are given, and you think I came early here to just move for you, I had a lot of space.
-
It has still not dawned in my head what is happening.
-
Late after the service I walked out.
-
The preacher was at the door greeting people.
-
He greeted me, said so glad to have you.
-
I hear you're not from this country.
-
We welcome you, please come again.
-
And I did come again, hallelujah.
-
But the kingdom of God does not have two deacons in front of the church asking you where are you Going?
-
The kingdom of God is open and he's saying from wherever you're coming from, the door is open.
-
Come and have eternal life in Jesus' name, come.
-
All you who are weary come.
-
It is not for certain people and that is why sometimes it amazes me when I hear churches in America, kenyan churches, a whole church, a whole church in the US is packed with Kikuyus, a whole church in the US and they're singing Kikuyu songs and they're preaching in Kikuyu and they're in the US.
-
Then across the road there's another church filled with people from Maragoli, western Kenya, and they're beating drums.
-
Can you do any mission work in such a church?
-
I don't understand those kinds of things, because wherever we go, we are missionaries.
-
The church is not made for certain groups of people, it's made for everyone.
-
The rich and the poor could sit together, the white and the black can sit together.
-
Hallelujah here.
-
We don't ask you from which region did you come from?
-
If all those from Kawangare sit on that side, they're not called Kawangare, it's Lovington West.
-
They sit on this side.
-
The kingdom of God is for everyone.
-
So look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor I have free access into the kingdom of God.
-
Baptist, pca, anglican Catholic, whatever you are, that is just a figure, but in the kingdom we are one.
-
Somebody better give God a big hand and tell him thank you, thank you, thank you, jesus.
-
But it's unshakable.
-
It's a kingdom.
-
Look at this verse, the verse in Hebrews even as I tie up this message, the verse in Hebrews 12, 28 says this Therefore, since we are receiving what A kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful and so worship God acceptably, with reverence and awe.
-
It's unshakable.
-
And when Paul received this message, he became unshakable, no matter where he went.
-
One time he said I am not ashamed of the gospel Because it is the power of God unto salvation.
-
Look at what the psalmist said many years back, psalms 46.
-
I read from verse 1 to 7.
-
Says this it says this this is you, this is your life.
-
God is our refuge and strength and ever present help in trouble.
-
Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth gives way, it's shaken and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roll and form and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roll and form and the mountains quake with their surging, in us there is a river Whose streams make glad, the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
-
God is within her.
-
She will not fall.
-
God will help her at break of day.
-
Nations are in a prowl, kingdoms fall.
-
He lifts his voice, the earth melts.
-
The Lord Almighty is with us.
-
The God of Jacob is our fortress.
-
Hallelujah, we shall be unshakable In Jesus' name.
-
But finally, a life that's unstoppable.
-
Tell your neighbor I have a life that is unstoppable.
-
Let me read 1 Peter, 2.9.
-
To 10.
-
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, god's special possession.
-
That you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
-
Now let's say this together once you are not a people, but now you are the people of God.
-
Once you have not a people, but now you are the people of God.
-
Once you have not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
-
You are unstoppable.
-
A new generation, a generation of champions.
-
Look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor you are a champion in Jesus name.
-
Let me show you what Paul went through, acts 14.
-
Look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor you're a champion In Jesus' name.
-
Let me show you what Paul went through, acts 14, verse 19 to 20.
-
He had this unstoppable.
-
He could not be stopped.
-
The Bible says Then some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowd over.
-
What did they do to Paul?
-
They stoned Paul and dragged him outside the city thinking he was what he was dead.
-
But after the disciples had gathered around him, he got up and went back into the city.
-
The next day he and Barnabas left for Dabi.
-
How can you stop a guy who has just been stoned, he's about to die, but he rises up and he says Allah, I'm still going on, unstoppable.
-
Look at this other verse.
-
Paul is the one who wrote it 2 Corinthians 4, verse 7 to 10.
-
He says we have a treasure inside us.
-
It's a zoe life, he says.
-
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
-
Then he said this this is a guy who is unstoppable.
-
We are hard-pressed on every side, but not crushed.
-
Perplexed but not in despair.
-
Persecuted but not in despair.
-
Persecuted but not abandoned.
-
Struck down but not destroyed.
-
We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
-
You are unstoppable in Jesus' name.
-
I'm saying you're unstoppable in In Jesus name.
-
I'm saying you are unstoppable in Jesus name.
-
This is the Zoe life you have received.
-
This is the life of Christ that is yours.
-
So don't walk around like a coward.
-
You have not received the spirit of fear, but the spirit of power and love and a sound mind.
-
That's what we're going to talk about this month.
-
As we talk about this new life, the new creation, the new kingdom, the new family, the new generation that God has given to us.
-
I'm telling you you're unique.
-
Look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor you're unique.
-
Tell them you're unshakable.
-
Tell them you're unstoppable, that life is inside you.
-
So you may be still in the 10 by 10.
-
Your mentality is still the 10 by 10, but today in Paki, you have no reason or excuse to stay in that room.
-
Walk around, because these other rooms belong to you.
-
They belong to you.
-
Don't even let anybody stop you.
-
You know, in some churches people don't laugh.
-
I'm telling you they don't laugh.
-
They don't talk At the parking.
-
They're alive, they're excited.
-
But the moment they're entering the door the father is telling the son Of course boys are boys, and the boy asks the father and the father says the boy says you go up.
-
So look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor you are in the house of the Lord, you are allowed to shout.
-
You are in the house of the Lord.
-
You are allowed to shout.
-
You are allowed to praise.
-
You are allowed to give God the glory and you are allowed to relax.
-
In some churches you don't relax, I'm telling you.
-
And children cannot be running around.
-
The pastor will rebuke the mother seriously.
-
There you put up your hand and children cannot be running around.
-
The pastor will rebuke the mother seriously.
-
Who are you, Dare?
-
You put up your hand, mama, here is not your home, but in this house of the Lord we celebrate the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
-
Come on somebody.
-
Amen.
-
This is the Zoe life we are talking about.
-
This is the picture of Jesus stretching his hands and saying celebrate with me, welcome to my Father's house.
-
One time, kitambu, we used to sing a chorus that says Come and go with me to my Father's house, to my Father's house, to my father's house, to my father's house.
-
Oh, come and go with me to my father's house, where there's joy, joy, joy.
-
Now stand on your feet, Thank you.
-
Now stand on your feet.
-
This month we are having a Bible plan and I believe some of you have gotten this.
-
This color was for this color was for.
-
Don't tell me you're color blind.
-
This color was for this color was for.
-
This color was for.
-
This color was for the youth.
-
Some of you came in when they had distributed them, but as you're going out, some of the ushers will be able to give you this.
-
Let me also bring to your attention the planners stretch planners.
-
Zilisha sold out Zilisha, and so if you'd like to secure a planner, kindly visit the bookshop to make your payment and place a pre-order.
-
This will help the printer print it and deliver it in good time.
-
So let's go through there.
-
The theme vision books are still available, so get yourself a copy.
-
Are you glad you came?
-
Yes, so what did you catch today?
-
You're unstoppable, okay, another one Unstoppable.
-
Eh, nobody caught anything to do with Valentine.
-
Okay, god is good.
-
So I want to just thank God for you.
-
I'll be asking Dr Gakunji to come.
-
He'll be giving us the benediction, but we just want to thank God that we're in a new month and, as we're released, let us go forth knowing we are unique and shakable and unstoppable.
-
In Jesus' name, come on, let's give God a big hand.
-
Thank you.
-
Another big hand to the Lord.
-
Another big hand to the Lord, unique, unshakable and unstoppable.
-
This is the message that we go out with this afternoon.
-
Shall we pray Our Father and our God.
-
We really thank you for your goodness and your love and care to us.
-
Thank you, lord, for your faithfulness and your mercies that are new every morning.
-
We have received your word.
-
Oh, father, we have taken it and, lord, we pray that as we go out this week, lord, you'll be glorified in our lives in all ways.
-
We want to just recommit ourselves to you, like we have been reminded that, lord, we may not move in that one gear that we have been moving on, but we may be able to move in the new gear that, father, you have provided for us.
-
Indeed, lord, we want to bless you again, even as we now read the benediction of this afternoon to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy.
-
To the only God, our Savior, be glory, majesty, power and authority through Christ Jesus, our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore.
-
And now, may the grace of our Lord, jesus Christ, and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all and forevermore.
-
Amen, shalom.
