-
I greet you in the name of our Lord, jesus Christ.
-
What a great season that God has put us into, a season of impartation and common mind shift, spirit-led discernment.
-
It's a great season.
-
It is God who is the author of every single season that we go through, and we thank God that he cares about the seasons that we are in.
-
Some of us are in those seasons that it's time where God is telling us to go slow.
-
Others, god is making us to have a mountaintop kind of an experience.
-
Every season that has been ordained by God.
-
It will help us to understand what God is doing in our life.
-
Sometimes God wants us to know what he is doing in our lives so that we may not get frustrated.
-
This is what we call discernment, where we are able to discern what God is doing in our life.
-
I want us to refer to a scripture that is found in 1 Kings 17 and verse 7, where we find a widow in Zarephath who had a lot of problems in times of drought and as they took time to go through this drought, a prophet appeared to her and he said that I want you to prepare something for myself and for your child, but this woman had very little even to share with this prophet.
-
But the scripture says that this woman designed her moment of visitation because she goes ahead and prepares something for the prophet a rager.
-
The scripture says that she goes and prepares some blood for this man of God, and yet she had so retreated into her house.
-
But look, she was able to discern the hour of visitation.
-
When we discern the hour of visitation, we are able to go through a season, even how much difficult it can be, and we find victory even in those difficult times, because we don't get frustrated.
-
Even in those seasons the things are not working out as long as we are able to discern what God is doing in that season.
-
The scripture records and says that the flower never ceased in her house and the jar of oil kept flowing all the time they were in drought, because she was able to realize the moment of visitation.
-
Another thing is that she listened to the voice of the prophet.
-
The scripture records and says in the book of 1st Kings, chapter 19, a story of a writer when he was waiting on God on the caves.
-
The scripture says that there was such a great sound, a voice of earthquake, and God was not in the earthquake.
-
Then there was fire and God was not in the fire.
-
But a small, soft voice came and gave instruction to Elijah and he was able to discern that small voice.
-
The prophet did not command, he gave just simple instruction in a small, soft voice.
-
But this woman, the widow of Zarephath, she was able to connect with that small, soft voice as she continued to do this.
-
The scripture says the day of her visitation was met.
-
Can we be able to discern God In this world where there is so much noise, where there is so much stories being said?
-
Are you able to quiet your spirit to listen to that small voice?
-
The other thing is that this woman was able to obey the voice of the prophet.
-
She was able to take the instruction and she also obeyed.
-
The scripture says she prepared the blood for the prophet and brought it to the prophet.
-
She was able to obey.
-
This is a season that God is calling us to be able to have this uncommon voice speaking to us.
-
Are we able to discern it?
-
Are we able to hear God speaking to us in this season?
-
I pray that the Lord, god Almighty, may help us to discern what he is doing in this great season that he has given us a moment of spiritual discernment.
-
May the Lord bless you and have a great moment, amen.
