  1. The scripture is from Mark chapter 5.

    Mark 5 chapter mention

  2. Tell your neighbor Mark.

  3. Tell your neighbor Mark this word.

  4. Amen.

  5. This is a story you know very well.

  6. And so I read about this wonderful lady.

  7. And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for 12 years.

  8. Okay, next verse.

  9. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better, she grew worse.

  10. When she heard about Jesus, when she heard about Jesus, when she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak because she thought and she meditated and she confessed, if I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.

  11. Immediately her bleeding stopped, and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

  12. At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him.

  13. He turned around in the crowd and asked, Who touched my clothes?

  14. You see, the people crowding against you, his disciples answered, And yet you can ask, Who touched me?

  15. But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it.

  16. Then when the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet, and trembling with fear, told him the whole truth.

  17. Verse 34.

  18. And he said to her, Daughter, your faith has healed you.

  19. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.

  20. This is the word of the Lord and gossip said.

  21. Amen.

  22. We may be seated as I pray.

  23. Our Heavenly Father, we thank you.

  24. What an honor to be able to sit before you and to hear your word.

  25. Father, through this service, we have worshiped, we have lifted your name, and Lord, not only us, those in the pavilion, and those online, and we want to bring ourselves at your feet, that Lord, as we receive your word, that indeed you shall stir in us something new.

  26. You shall stir in us a word that will carry us into this week, a word that will cause us to finish this week well, as we prepare to finish the month well.

  27. And we just want to say thank you and to honor you and to say to God be the glory.

  28. Anoint your servant, anoint our hearts, anoint our minds, anoint our ears, that we may receive your word.

  29. Because we have prayed, Lord, knowing that you're able to do more than we can imagine.

  30. We want to remember Dr.

  31. Gakunjo and the family, we want to remember JJ and the family and this season where they have been bereaved.

  32. And we want to pray that strength and comfort will be given to them in a special way.

  33. Father, again, visit us with your spirit this Pentecost Sunday.

  34. And Lord, let us be stirred up to know that he who began a good work in us will bring it to completion.

  35. This we have prayed in faith and in thanksgiving, in Jesus' name, and because people say it.

  36. Amen.

  37. Look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor, I'm happy that you're sitting next to me.

  38. Hallelujah.

  39. Just also for your information, our faith just became a grandmother this last week.

  40. Amen.

  41. And she's happy, mother, grandmother.

  42. So we celebrate you and all the grandmothers in the house.

  43. Tell your neighbor the dynamic force of confession.

  44. To tell that neighbor again because they were not listening, the dynamic force of confession.

  45. Amen.

  46. Confession is a powerful thing, it is also a powerful force.

  47. Listen to what Jesus said in Matthew chapter 10, verse 32.

    Matthew 10:32

  48. This is what Jesus said about confession.

  49. And he said this, which is a good word.

  50. Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my father in heaven.

  51. But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown him before my father in heaven.

  52. Now let me read this in the new in the NIV, uh, not NIV, but in the New King Amplified, sorry, Amplified version, verse 32.

  53. Therefore, the one who confesses and acknowledges me before men as Lord and Savior, affirming a state of oneness with me, that one I will also confess and acknowledge before my father who is in heaven.

  54. But the one who denies and rejects me before men, that one I will also deny and reject before my father who is in heaven.

  55. Jesus was using a very special word when he said, If you confess me before men, that word confess in the Greek is made of two words, homo logio.

  56. Logio comes from the word logic or logos, and here it means to say something.

  57. So homo logio means to say the word homo means same.

  58. So when you say homo logio, you're saying to say the same thing because of our religious understanding and because of the religious background, every time the word confess is mentioned, what do you think of first?

  59. You think of sin.

  60. So tell your neighbor the next time you hear the word confess, do not think of sin.

  61. Because that word has been associated with sin for so long that anytime you say confess, you're thinking of sin.

  62. And so you're missing the blessing.

  63. There was a cigarette many years ago called Sportsman, and it had a horse, and it had a guy on that horse.

  64. What they were basically saying, if you smoke this cigarette, you're going to be what?

  65. A sportsman.

  66. But there was no relationship between that word and that picture with that thing you smoke.

  67. So it was associated, it was connected to the cigarette until in the mind, when you hear a sportsman, you don't think of the cigarette, you just smoke it.

  68. And by the way, you're not a sportsman when you smoke.

  69. Look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor, did you ever smoke?

  70. Let them not answer.

  71. I hope you didn't.

  72. I tried.

  73. And we were kids and we saw people smoking and they're looking nice.

  74. You know, and the way they stand, you know, and the smoke goes out.

  75. So, as kids, you're saying, Mazay, how but you can't, you can't, you can't just do it.

  76. Then one day we a guy told us, Hey, we keep a kujapa.

  77. So we came, he gave us a cigarette and said, Go go light this thing.

  78. Kwaile Jiko.

  79. Hallelujah.

  80. We got our chance.

  81. Now that cigarette was not called Sportsman, it was a cigarette called SM.

  82. Sweet mental.

  83. I can see some smokers in the house.

  84. Sweet mental.

  85. And so we realize and we know that it has something sweet.

  86. So we go went with my friend and we lit it, and then we went around the block.

  87. And the first the guy puffed it, then I puffed it.

  88. Now him he did very well because he puffed it and the smoke came in and then he blew the smoke out.

  89. Me, I smoked it.

  90. I don't know what happened.

  91. I coughed.

  92. I coughed, I coughed, I coughed.

  93. And I told myself, what is this?

  94. And I tell you, thank God I coughed because that was my last cigarette to smoke.

  95. Never smoked again.

  96. Now the word confess has been associated with sin for so long.

  97. Yet it is a powerful word.

  98. The Bible says, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, it's not talking about confessing your sins.

  99. If you confess with your mother, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.

  100. And so what he's simply saying is this when God says something, you say the same thing.

  101. When God says something, you say the same thing.

  102. So when God says you are the light of the world, what do you say?

  103. I am the light of the world.

  104. When God says that you are a son of God, what do you say?

  105. When God says by his stripes you are healed, what do you say?

  106. When God says you're a champion, what do you say?

  107. Now I know the Arsenal fans are here.

  108. I'm saying the Arsenal fans are here.

  109. And we've seen them on gong heels, we've seen them on top of buses.

  110. Ah, some of them have come with Arsenal t-shirts today.

  111. Okay, they so they are confessing that they are champions, and they're making us not forget that they are champions.

  112. Where have they been the last 22 years?

  113. They have been preparing for this season.

  114. The Bible says in his time he makes all things.

  115. So we celebrate with the Arsenal team and we thank God for them.

  116. And the rest of us who do not walk alone, Manchester United, Man City, all those people, Chelsea.

  117. Do we have chess in the house?

  118. When was the last time you won anything?

  119. God bless you, sir.

  120. Amen.

  121. Let me tell you this when God says you're a champion, you declare that you are a champion.

  122. That's what confessing means.

  123. And it releases such a force, it releases a joy, it releases a celebration.

  124. And I'm telling you, when God wanted to turn a man who felt so weak, he gave him a statement to confess that man was Gideon.

  125. The Bible says in Judges chapter 6, verse 12 about this man, because let me tell you this: it is not an easy thing to confess when you actually feel you're not there, when you actually know you're not there.

    Judges 6:12

  126. And so God comes to Gideon and then he says, When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.

  127. Can you imagine?

  128. But Gideon was not there in his mind.

  129. The Bible says in verse 13, He said, Pardon me, my Lord.

  130. Gideon replied, Are you talking to me?

  131. And then he said, But if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us?

  132. Where are all his wonders that our ancestors told us about when they said, Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?

  133. But now the Lord has abandoned us and given us into the hand of the media.

  134. But you know, the Lord did not change his statement.

  135. The Lord goes ahead and says, The Lord turned to him and said, Go, Gideon, in the strength you have, and save Israel out of Midian's hand.

  136. Am I not sending you?

  137. Guess what Gideon said.

  138. Huh?

  139. Pardon me, pardon me, my Lord, Gideon replied, but how can I save Israel?

  140. My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.

  141. Let me tell you this.

  142. When God declares you, just say it.

  143. Even when circumstances don't show it, even not, even when nothing happens.

  144. Because let me tell you this there's a force behind your confession.

  145. And that is why this woman came to Jesus, troubled for many years, and just began to say something.

  146. If I can touch his garment, I'll be healed.

  147. No theology there, Pastor Simon.

  148. No Bible school, no holy words.

  149. She just said, if I can touch his garments, I'll be healed.

  150. Jesus is walking with power.

  151. And his power is for everyone.

  152. The good thing about Jesus, he did not walk around zapping people with that power.

  153. You can imagine Jesus walking without power and it is just sizzling in his spirit.

  154. He saw a blind man.

  155. And the man suddenly opened his eyes.

  156. And then he saw a deaf man.

  157. He walked around.

  158. And the man starts to hear music.

  159. Hello?

  160. Finds a cripple.

  161. And the guy starts running.

  162. Jesus didn't do that.

  163. And that is why sometimes many of us expect that if God is with us, why isn't anything happening?

  164. God is not zapping people with power.

  165. God is waiting for a confession.

  166. He's waiting for a statement from you.

  167. The Bible says, faith comes by hearing.

  168. God wants to hear something from you.

  169. He wants you to declare something.

  170. And that woman, when she touched the garment of Jesus, power left Jesus, touched her.

  171. What had happened for her in 12 years was cleared in 12 seconds.

  172. This is the God we serve.

  173. And I want to tell you this that your miracle is in the house today.

  174. I'm saying your miracle is in the house today.

  175. But it depends what is your confession.

  176. So there are three things I want to talk about about the force of confession.

  177. Number one, the force of favor, because confession brings favor.

  178. There's a force of favor.

  179. Secondly, the force of uplifting.

  180. And thirdly, the force of realignment.

  181. The force of favor.

  182. God wants to favor us.

  183. Buana si fe.

  184. Let me read this verse in Noah in Genesis chapter 6, verse 8, about Noah, because favor finds you, favor looks for you.

    Genesis 6:8

  185. The Bible says this in Genesis 6, verse 8.

    Genesis 6:8

  186. But Noah did what?

  187. Found favor in the eyes of the Lord, because he lived a righteous life.

  188. If you go to Proverbs chapter 3, verse 1 to 4, again, if you want to attract favor, these are the things that you need to do and engage.

    Proverbs 3:1–4

  189. It says this in Proverbs 3, verse 1 to 4.

    Proverbs 3:1–4

  190. My son, this also can refer to daughters.

  191. Hallelujah.

  192. My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart.

  193. For they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.

  194. Let love and faithfulness never leave you.

  195. Then you will do what?

  196. A man.

  197. Proverbs 13, verse 15.

    Proverbs 13:15

  198. The Bible says this again about favor.

  199. Good judgment does what?

  200. Wins favor.

  201. But the way of the unfaithful leads to their destruction.

  202. Then one more verse, Proverbs 8:35.

    Proverbs 8:35

  203. I believe it's Proverbs 8, 35.

  204. It says, okay, that's another verse.

  205. But it's a verse about wisdom.

  206. So let me pick it up for around from verse 1.

  207. Let's pick it from verse 1.

  208. Proverbs, talking about wisdom.

  209. Tell your neighbor wisdom.

  210. Proverbs 8.

  211. Just take it, take me to verse 1.

  212. Because when you get wisdom, favor will come your way.

  213. Do not we does not wisdom call out?

  214. Does not understand raise her voice?

  215. At the highest point along the way where the paths meet, she takes her stand.

  216. Besides the gate leading into the city, at the entrance she cries aloud.

  217. To you, O people, I call out.

  218. I raise my voice to all mankind.

  219. You who are simple, gain prudence.

  220. You who are foolish, set your hearts on it.

  221. Listen, for I have trustworthy things to say.

  222. I open my lips to speak what is right.

  223. My mouth speaks what is true, for my lips detest wickedness.

  224. All the words of my mouth are just, none of them is crooked or perverse.

  225. To the discerning, all of them are right.

  226. They are pride to those who have found knowledge.

  227. To the choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than the choice of gold.

  228. For wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her.

  229. I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence.

  230. I possess knowledge and discretion.

  231. To fear the Lord is to hate evil.

  232. I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.

  233. Counsel and sound judgment are mine.

  234. I have insight, I have power.

  235. By me kings reign and rulers issue decrees that are just.

  236. And then it goes on to talk about favor.

  237. It comes from wisdom.

  238. So tell your neighbor, wisdom comes, brings forward faith.

  239. On one of the clips that you saw today, we had encounters with the late president Daniel Arapmoe.

  240. Hello.

  241. And let me tell you this: there were scary encounters, but there were encounters that brought favor.

  242. Buana Sifiwe.

  243. In fact, you're sitting on favor on this ground.

  244. Buana Sifiwe.

  245. You're sitting on favor.

  246. We were young, we don't know what to do.

  247. Right now, as we celebrate Jubilee, we are setting together a protocol team.

  248. A big team that is led by, you know, Ambassador Ruth here.

  249. But let me tell you this: when the president first came to Parklands Baptist Church, I was the protocol team.

  250. And I was very non-prepared, completely.

  251. I was totally unprepared.

  252. When he came, I had been waiting to preach for a long time.

  253. The missionary pastor that I was serving under never gave me a chance to preach.

  254. And I really had a message.

  255. Tell your neighbor I had a message.

  256. Oh, hallelujah.

  257. Pastor Simon, you know how it feels.

  258. Then one day he comes and says, Pastor Ambrose, I have a mess, I'm preaching in Kisum.

  259. And so this coming Sunday, you're preaching.

  260. Ah, my time had come.

  261. I'm telling you, I prepared seriously and thoroughly and amazingly.

  262. I prepared, I prepared, I prepared, I prepared, I prepared, and then I go, I felt anointed.

  263. Came to church in a suit, ready to preach the gospel.

  264. I reached the gate, and the watchi, the watchi, I mean the security guy, tells me that we have just received news that the president is coming to church today.

  265. I said, Who?

  266. The president is coming to church today.

  267. Let me tell you this my anointing evaporated immediately.

  268. Went.

  269. Oh, I suffered.

  270. Long story short, I ended up in the washroom.

  271. Locked up.

  272. Let me tell you this.

  273. I didn't know that favor was looking for me.

  274. I didn't know that favor was locating us because a few months before that, we had come with the deacons and prayed on this ground in a night and said, Jehovah God, give us this land.

  275. Give us this piece of land.

  276. That prayer went to heaven.

  277. That and heaven sent word to State House.

  278. And the president shows up at our at our location.

  279. And I'm telling you, I didn't know that favor had come.

  280. Let me tell you somebody here.

  281. Your favor is coming your way.

  282. Favor is locating you in Jesus' name.

  283. Favor is coming your way.

  284. You may have prayed for something and prayed for something, and nothing happens.

  285. But that prayer went to heaven.

  286. And heaven has located whoever it is that is bringing favor.

  287. Noah found favor with God.

  288. And I'm telling you, he shows up that day, it became worse because when I went to the office to check what someone I was preaching about, it was from the book of Daniel.

  289. And I said, Lord, give me another word.

  290. Give me another word.

  291. I said, Daniel is coming.

  292. If he finds out I'm preaching from the book of Daniel, I'm finished.

  293. I'm finished.

  294. That's how I ended up in the washroom.

  295. But, ladies and gentlemen, the Lord told me in the toilet, Ambrose, wake up from this place.

  296. The president is not coming to look for you, he's coming to hear the word.

  297. And guess who has the word?

  298. It is you who has the word.

  299. So get out of this washroom and go preach the gospel.

  300. And that is how I went up.

  301. And I'm telling you, I was an automatic pilot, did everything that whole day.

  302. The only thing I couldn't do was collect the offering.

  303. And uh then later I told the president to come and say something.

  304. He said something, he sat down, I preached, and I opened which book?

  305. The book of Daniel.

  306. And today I'm talking about the book of Daniel again.

  307. Because Daniel found favor because of his confession.

  308. Daniel was in Babylon.

  309. And Daniel was now in the ministry of King Nebuchadnezzar.

  310. And Nebuchadnezzar had a dream that nobody could interpret.

  311. The issue was not that nobody could interpret, the issue is that nobody also knew the dream.

  312. Because the king said, I had a dream, but I don't remember the dream.

  313. But I want you to answer that, to tell me the dream and interpret the dream.

  314. The magicians, the sorcerers, none of them could do that.

  315. So when word came to Daniel, and Daniel knew that they were going to be part of being killed, he said, This is not an issue to God.

  316. Hallelujah.

  317. And he and his friends went to God to get a word.

  318. And let me tell you this: if you're going to experience the force of confession, you need to get a word from the Bible.

  319. You need to get a word so that when you begin to confess it, it has found its source in God.

  320. And so Daniel prayed, and then God answered.

  321. Now let me pick what he said from there.

  322. In Daniel chapter 2, verse 19, the Bible says this very quickly.

    Daniel 2:19

  323. During the night, the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision.

  324. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven and said, Praise be to the name of God forever and ever.

  325. Wisdom and power are his.

  326. You can ask God to reveal.

  327. You can ask God to give you a word.

  328. When he gives you a word, begin to confess that word.

  329. Because the story is long, because it's a long chapter.

  330. Daniel actually went ahead and told Nebuchadnezzar the entire dream.

  331. And then he interpreted the dream.

  332. And Nebuchadnezzar was so awed by what was said that this is what he did in the next verses.

  333. Verse 47 to 49.

  334. Daniel chapter 2, verse 47 to 49.

    Daniel 2:47–49

  335. Nebuchadnezzar then responds.

  336. Now, this is a heathen king.

  337. But because of Daniel's confession, because of Daniel's interpreting of the vision, he just bows before God and says, Surely, your God is the God of gods and the Lord of kings and the reveal of mysteries.

  338. For you are able to reveal this mystery.

  339. And then this is where now favor comes.

  340. Tell your neighbor, favor follows confession.

  341. The Bible says, then the king placed Daniel where in a high position.

  342. And then he lavished many gifts on him.

  343. He made him ruler over the entire province of Babylon and placed him in charge of all its wise men.

  344. Then I really like verse 49.

  345. Moreover, at Daniel's request, the king appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to be administrators of the province of Babylon.

  346. I want to talk to somebody here and say, when God lifts you up, remember your friends.

  347. When God gives you a high position, remember your friends.

  348. And these were his friends.

  349. And because of his word and his recommendation, his friends found positions in Babylon.

  350. Favor came upon them.

  351. I want to decree and declare today that favor is coming your way in Jesus' name.

  352. I'm saying favor is coming upon you in Jesus' name.

  353. I'm talking to somebody up there, I'm saying favor is coming your way.

  354. I'm talking to somebody online, I'm saying favor is coming your way.

  355. But it depends on your confession.

  356. We were singing this song that says, I know whom I have believed in, and I am persuaded that he's able to keep that which I've committed unto him against that day.

  357. Let me tell you this there is a force in confession.

  358. But number two, very quickly the force, the force of uplifting.

  359. Excuse me.

  360. God wants to lift you up.

  361. The Bible says this in Job 22, verse 28, a verse we know very well to 29.

    Job 22:28

  362. It says this that God is an uplifting God.

  363. It says, What you decide on, what you decide on, will be done, and light will shine on your ways.

  364. Then he says in verse 29, when people are brought low, and you say, you confess, lift them up, then he will save the downcast.

  365. I am saying this.

  366. God is saying, declare a thing.

  367. Let me read it in the New King James version.

  368. It says this in the New King James Version, verse 28.

  369. It says this, you will also do what?

  370. You'll also do what?

  371. And it will be what?

  372. And so light will shine on your ways.

  373. Then verse 29 says, When they cast you down, or when anything casts you down, or when a situation brings you low, you will say, Exaltation will come.

  374. Then he will save the humble person.

  375. You remember the story of Joseph?

  376. The Bible says that Joseph had dreams, and his brothers really were upset.

  377. And so the brothers put him and sold him.

  378. They sold him to a into uh the first of all, they put him in a pit, and then he was sold to into Potiphar's house, and then something happened in Potiphar's house, he was put in a dungeon.

  379. But you know, with all these problems happening, there is something out of place because in Genesis chapter 39, verse 4, this is what the Bible says about Joseph.

    Genesis 39:4

  380. The Bible says this so Joseph found what favor in his sight.

  381. Now, if you go to verse 2, by the way, there's another statement there, and it says this Genesis 39 the Lord was with who?

  382. The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man, and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

  383. And even though the Lord was with Joseph, Joseph was in a pit, Joseph was in Potiphar's house.

  384. Joseph was accused wrongly.

  385. Joseph found himself in a dungeon, but the Lord was with Joseph.

  386. And you can imagine for a guy who was 17, by the way, he was 17 when he was sold.

  387. By the time he's going to the palace, he's 30 years.

  388. How many years are those?

  389. Nearly 13 years.

  390. Meandering and meandering and meandering.

  391. But let me tell you this in God's view of things, he was not meandering.

  392. He was being prepared.

  393. He was being prepared.

  394. For 22 years, when Arsenal was meandering and meandering and meandering, they were not meandering because they were being prepared for this time.

  395. Hallelujah.

  396. Though they were in the pit, Potiphar's house, in the dungeon, suddenly they're in the palace, blessing God.

  397. And so you may be in that position of meandering, but God is preparing you.

  398. God is setting you up for victory.

  399. God is setting you up to turn things around.

  400. You may be in the pit, but let me tell you this God is going to lift you up.

  401. But there's something that Joseph kept confessing during that season.

  402. I want to read it in Genesis chapter 50, verse 19, because the brothers were really beginning to get scared about Joseph, especially when their father died.

    Genesis 50:19

  403. The Bible says this, Genesis 50, verse 19 to verse 21.

    Genesis 50:19

  404. It says, But Joseph said to them, Don't be afraid.

  405. Am I in the place of God?

  406. You intended to harm me.

  407. Now this was his confession.

  408. You intended to harm me, but God intended it for what?

  409. For good to accomplish what is now being done.

  410. The saving of many lives.

  411. So then don't be afraid.

  412. I will provide for you and your children.

  413. And he assured them and spoke kindly to them.

  414. And Joseph stayed in Egypt along with all his father's family.

  415. He lived to be a hundred and ten years.

  416. Joseph had a confession through that season.

  417. He said, Whatever is happening to me, God is working it out for good.

  418. For my family, for my people, for my organization.

  419. Behind it, God is working for me.

  420. But many times we say, when things happen wrongly, say, ah, somebody has bewitched me.

  421. There is a witch in our family.

  422. Somebody has looked at me badly.

  423. Have you ever heard people saying you are looking at me badly?

  424. There's no bad look.

  425. They are just looking.

  426. In fact, they are not even looking at you.

  427. But on the whole process, he said, God, God is with me.

  428. God is with me.

  429. What is your confession?

  430. You know, God is with me.

  431. Hallelujah.

  432. You have heard me tell you about the story of my educational journey.

  433. Past my class 7, CPE, flying colours.

  434. We had only three subjects to do maths, English, and journal paper.

  435. In maths, I got an A.

  436. English.

  437. I got an A.

  438. Journal paper.

  439. I got an A.

  440. We called it 36 points.

  441. Straight.

  442. Hallelujah.

  443. That's me.

  444. Banas if you were.

  445. Passed seriously.

  446. Went to form one, Jamouri High School.

  447. There I met other people who had also clocked 36 points.

  448. In the same class.

  449. And that is when I realized you may think you're winning.

  450. But you're not winning.

  451. And for some people, you may think you're losing.

  452. Kumbayuah?

  453. Winning.

  454. In form two at Jamori High School for the first time.

  455. I became number 38 out of 39.

  456. I was so shocked.

  457. My father never commented about it, which was even worse.

  458. But I said I'm going to recover and I recovered.

  459. By the time I was in form 4, I'm a Christian, you know, chairperson.

  460. I'm in form 4.

  461. I'm doing my best.

  462. Again, I passed flying colors.

  463. They used to say Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, Division 4.

  464. If you got a Division 4, it was just a record that you're in secondary school.

  465. I got Division 1.

  466. Passed through.

  467. My father being an engineer, I felt that I needed to take engineering subjects, so I went to form SEG 5 and 6 and I took maths, physics, and chemistry.

  468. We all called it MPC.

  469. Other people called it mad people combination.

  470. Again, I was going to excel, but I met giants in the land.

  471. In maths, I met something called calculus.

  472. I struggled with calculus.

  473. I could not understand it.

  474. In chemistry, I met something called organic chemistry.

  475. Organic chemistry killed me.

  476. In maths, it throttled me.

  477. Let me tell you this: by the time I was doing my form 6 exams, I said, no problem.

  478. Even this, even though I'm suffering like this, I am the head and I'm not the tail.

  479. I am above and not below.

  480. I'm telling you, I was confessing, Pastor Simon.

  481. I was confessing, but the papers were saying otherwise.

  482. When the results came, plastered on on the wall in Jamori High School, in Marx, I got an F.

  483. An F like this.

  484. In chemistry, I got the immediate neighbor of that F.

  485. Which was an E.

  486. Now imagine, remember, you start counting A.

  487. It is A, I was not there.

  488. B, I was not there.

  489. C, I was not there.

  490. D, which is demonic, I was not there.

  491. Now, E, that's bad.

  492. I'm in a bad place.

  493. And so in math I got an F, in chemistry I got an E.

  494. In physics, I got an E, and then we had a subsidiary.

  495. And it just spelt fees.

  496. I had paid fees for six years.

  497. Completed my education.

  498. Hallelujah.

  499. I was in a pit.

  500. I was in a hole.

  501. And as I was leaving Jamori High School, I said, Lord, you have let me down.

  502. And God knew that if He did not release a word in my life, I was going to give up.

  503. So as I was going out of school, God whispered into my ear and said, Ambrose, I know the plans I have for you.

  504. I said, What?

  505. He said, I know the plans I have for you.

  506. Plans for welfare and not for evil to give you a future and a hope.

  507. Do you know I took that word?

  508. But I was not confessing it.

  509. I just felt this is this is a trap.

  510. God is not doing, even if God has plans for me, I still have an F looking at me.

  511. Do you know when I reached home, my dad is asking me, Ambrose, how did things go?

  512. I said they went very well.

  513. How did the school perform?

  514. They performed very well.

  515. How did you perform?

  516. I said, uh uh I I got F in maths, E in chemistry, A in physics, and there was another S that was added.

  517. Out of the blue, my dad said, My son, God knows the plans he has for you.

  518. My father in heaven had to engage my father on earth for the sake of Ambrose, so that Ambrose would start confessing the right thing.

  519. Do you know from that day, I lifted up my head and I said, God knows the plans he has for me.

  520. They're plans for welfare and not for evil to give me a future and a hope.

  521. And let me tell you this things began to shift, things began to change.

  522. I went to a school to teach as an untrained teacher and I taught maths.

  523. Can you imagine how good God is?

  524. God is amazing.

  525. God was working in my life.

  526. Then many years later, about three years later, I went to Kenya Science Teachers College, which is on Gong Road, and I was going to be trained to be a teacher of physics and chemistry.

  527. Can you imagine?

  528. This is the God who served.

  529. This is the God who said, I know the plans I have for you.

  530. And Pastor Simon, 10 years from the time I was leaving Jamouri High School, the day I was feeling in the pit, you know, when you are downcast, let somebody say there's a lifting up.

  531. And that day God said, Ambrose, I know you are in the pit, but I'm saying there is a lifting up.

  532. There is a lifting up.

  533. Ten years later, I was in a plane to the United States of America, Arkansas, on a full scholarship to study theology.

  534. And I'm telling you, I was lifted up.

  535. Hallelujah.

  536. There was a lifting up.

  537. I'm talking to somebody here, and I'm saying there's a lifting up.

  538. And for some of you, it may not take 10 years.

  539. For some of you, your 10 years are over.

  540. This is your season.

  541. There's a lifting up.

  542. I'm saying there is a lifting up about to somebody right now.

  543. Amen.

  544. I'm talking to somebody here who has been at a job where they have never been promoted at all.

  545. They've done their best, but their juniors got promoted ahead of them.

  546. And you're sitting there saying, I'm leaving this place.

  547. My boss is very cruel.

  548. No.

  549. God and a cuseti.

  550. Let me talk to these other ones here.

  551. God is setting you up.

  552. And I went to America, did theology.

  553. I was on the Dean's list the whole time I was there.

  554. Some of you don't know what the Dean's list is.

  555. I mean, I was performing 95% on every subject.

  556. All the way.

  557. When I graduated on a Saturday by Wednesday, I was on a plane coming to Nairobi.

  558. So that I could come back and tell you, there's a lifting up.

  559. There is a lifting up.

  560. There's a lifting up.

  561. It may take a long time, but God doesn't forget.

  562. God doesn't forget.

  563. He remembers.

  564. And I'm coming to you today as I prepare to close this message that there is a lifting up.

  565. And you better begin to confess it.

  566. You shall declare a thing and it shall be done for you.

  567. And when the people say there is a casting down, you say there's a lifting up.

  568. Hallelujah.

  569. Somebody better give Jesus a big hand.

  570. Tell Jesus there's a lifting up.

  571. There is a lifting up.

  572. But let there's the force of favor, there's a force of uplifting.

  573. But then there's a force of realignment.

  574. Tell your neighbor there is a force of realignment.

  575. Very quickly, Psalms 103, verse 1 to 5.

    Psalms 103:1–5

  576. Says these beautiful words about praise.

  577. And that is the confession that we must remember, the confession of praise.

  578. The Bible says, Praise the Lord my soul.

  579. All my inmost being praise his holy name.

  580. Praise the Lord my soul and forget not all his benefits.

  581. Forget not all his benefits.

  582. Forget not all his benefits.

  583. Forget not all his benefits.

  584. Forget not all his benefits.

  585. Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases?

  586. Who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion?

  587. Who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.

  588. The confession of praise.

  589. And this one is not when everything is okay.

  590. This one is when things are dark and there's a blackout in your life.

  591. This is when you are sieged, you are under siege by all kinds of things.

  592. Paul and Silas were in prison.

  593. And the Bible says, in the midnight moment, they began to sing hymns and they began to praise God.

  594. And as they did that, there was a shaking, and the chains were broken, and those prison doors were open, and they were free.

  595. Another guy in the Bible called Jehoshaphat also faced a very dark moment in his life and history.

  596. He was attacked from three sides.

  597. And they didn't know what to do.

  598. And they came to God and said, God, we are fasting.

  599. We are finished.

  600. Then God sent a word.

  601. Tell your neighbor, God sent a word.

  602. In 2 Chronicles chapter 20, verse 15, this was the word.

    2 Chronicles 20:15

  603. And I pray that in Jesus' name that God is sending your word, even in some of the challenges, the challenging moments you may be facing today.

  604. And the Bible says this in 2 Chronicles 20, verse 15.

    2 Chronicles 20:15

  605. A prophet stood up, and this is what he said.

  606. If I can get that verse, please.

  607. For the battle is not yours, but God's.

  608. Buonassifi.

  609. In fact, I'm saying to somebody today, because today is Sunday, and so this is your verse in verse 16.

  610. Tomorrow.

  611. Buonassifiwe.

  612. Tomorrow.

  613. I'm talking to somebody here in Jesus' name because your week is already set up.

  614. God has already fixed your week.

  615. You are a winner this coming week.

  616. Tomorrow, march down against them.

  617. They will be climbing up by the pass of Zeiz, and you'll find them at the end of the gorge in the desert of Jeruel.

  618. You will not have to fight this battle.

  619. Take up your positions, stand firm and see the deliverance of the Lord, the Lord will give you.

  620. Hallelujah.

  621. And then God gave them a strategy.

  622. Tell your neighbor's strategy.

  623. Verse 20.

  624. This is a good strategy.

  625. The Bible says this.

  626. Early in the morning, they left for the desert of Tekoah.

  627. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, People, listen to me, Judah.

  628. Go back.

  629. Alright.

  630. Early in the morning, they left for the desert of Tokaiis.

  631. They set out.

  632. Jehoshaphat stood and said, Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem.

  633. Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld.

  634. Have faith in his prophets, and you'll be successful.

  635. Then he goes on to say, After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing.

  636. Appointed men to sing.

  637. Appointed men to sing.

  638. Pastor Simon, this is a war zone.

  639. It's a war zone.

  640. Appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness.

  641. As they went out at the head of the army, saying, Give thanks to the Lord, for his love endures forever.

  642. But I like the next statement.

  643. As they began to do what?

  644. To sing, not complain, as they began to sing, not argue, as they began to sing.

  645. So look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor, you need to sing.

  646. In tune or out of tune.

  647. You just need to sing.

  648. This is what they said.

  649. As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seah who were invading Judah.

  650. And they were defeated.

  651. The Ammonites and the Moabites rose up against the men from Mount Seah to destroy, and he led them.

  652. After they finished slaughtering the men from Seah, they then helped.

  653. I like that one.

  654. They helped.

  655. Let me tell you this: your enemies are going to help themselves in destroying themselves.

  656. In Jesus' name.

  657. You are not gonna fight this fight because the Lord set an ambush.

  658. And how did it start?

  659. Confession of praise.

  660. So look at your neighbor, tell your neighbor, praise means hallelujah.

  661. So tell your neighbor, hallelujah.

  662. Tell them three times.

  663. Now tell the one who ignored you three times.

  664. Now tell the one behind you.

  665. Now that was a difficult task.

  666. Because everybody, you turn back, they also let me tell you this.

  667. In some situations, in fact, in all situations, just say like David said, I will bless the Lord at all times.

  668. His praises will continually be in my mouth.

  669. By the way, in the standings of the Premier League, so in that standing, if Arsenal is at the top, who is next?

  670. Who now?

  671. If you are members of Man City, your key word is hallelujah.

  672. So just say hallelujah.

  673. Because your time will come.

  674. For now, let Arsenal enjoy themselves.

  675. Buana Sifi.

  676. They may win into the next year and continue winning, but who knows?

  677. Liverpool is still on the ground.

  678. Buonassifi.

  679. God is good.

  680. In other words, whatever happens, there is a hallelujah.

  681. Do you know the amazing thing?

  682. Now I want you to stand up as I give you the last thing here.

  683. So stand up as blood goes into your feet, just tell your feet, hallelujah.

  684. Tell your legs, hallelujah.

  685. Amen.

  686. For those ladies who have shoes that are not fitting, just tell your feet, hallelujah.

  687. Banas if you God is good.

  688. The Bible says in verse 24 of this verse, very quickly.

  689. When the men of Judah came to the place that overlooks the desert and looked towards the vast army, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground.

  690. No one had escaped.

  691. Jehoshaphat and his men went to carry off their plunder, and they found among them a great amount of equipment and clothing and also articles of value, more than they could take away.

  692. There was so much plunder that it took three days to collect it.

  693. On the fourth day, they assembled in the valley of Baraka.

  694. That's why the word Baraka comes in.

  695. The valley of Baraka.

  696. And remember, it was in the valley.

  697. And I want to say whatever valley you're in today, there is Baraka there.

  698. There is Baraka there now in the name of Jesus.

  699. They called it the Valley of Baraka, where they praise the Lord.

  700. This is why it is called the Valley of Baraka to this day.

  701. Ladies and gentlemen, what is your confession?

  702. And is your confession releasing a force?

  703. Is it a force of favor?

  704. May that be your portion.

  705. Is it a force of uplifting?

  706. May that be your portion.

  707. Is it a confession of realignment?

  708. Of praise?

  709. Because as you praise, God realigns your parts.

  710. All things begin to work together for good to those who love the Lord, who are called according to his purpose.

  711. I want to say this.

  712. You're entering into an amazing week.

  713. You're entering into an amazing week.

  714. Victory has gone your way.

  715. Victory is coming your way in Jesus' name.

  716. You're more than a conqueror.

  717. So when God says you're a champion, what do you say?

  718. When God says I will supply all your needs, what do you say?

  719. All my needs are supplied.

  720. Amen.

  721. When God says by his traps you're healed, when God says, My wisdom will be your portion, wisdom is my portion.

  722. This is the season of Jubilee.

  723. May you celebrate, may you rise up, may you experience resetting, restoration, realignment, all the arts that Pastor Simon was talking about.

  724. And I'm telling you, your confession will release a force, and there's nothing the devil can do about it.

  725. Give your neighbor high five.

  726. Amen.

  727. Now give God a shout.

  728. Come on, come on, somebody.

  729. Give God a shout.

  730. Hallelujah.

  731. Hallelujah.

  732. God is amazing.

  733. I want to assure you that you will find favor in the king's court.

  734. You will find favor.

  735. And as you confess Jesus to others, he will confess you to his father in heaven.

  736. Say the same thing.

  737. Homologio, homologio, saying the same thing.

  738. The Lord will support it in heaven and say, See what my son is saying.

  739. He's saying the same thing I told him.

  740. And the father will say, I seal it and cause it to happen in your name.

  741. Are you glad you came?

  742. Did you learn something?

  743. What did you learn?

  744. That there was a cigarette called Sportsman.

  745. That's what you are learning.

  746. There's also another cigarette called Embassy.

  747. You remember?

  748. Roster.

  749. But as a pastor, let me say this.

  750. If you're in this house and you smoke, number one, you will not go to hell.

  751. Now let me say to the people on this side: if you smoke, if you're a smoker, you don't go to hell.

  752. Smoking does not take anyone to hell.

  753. What takes people to hell is not confessing Jesus as Lord.

  754. But let me tell you this your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

  755. Do not put smoke in your lungs.

  756. You may be addicted, but you can come to a God who says, There's a lifting up.

  757. There's a lifting up.

  758. Don't think that walking around smoking at your being cool.

  759. No, you're not being cool.

  760. And you're not being hot.

  761. You're deceiving yourself.

  762. Get that pack of cigarettes and flush them somewhere.

  763. God will give you the victory to remain without nicotine in your system.

  764. This is me speaking to you.

  765. If you are in this church.

  766. And if you're online, I'm also talking to you.

  767. In Jesus' name.

  768. If you are in the provision, I'm also talking to you.

  769. These habits that people are challenged with don't take people them to hell.

  770. They just destroy your body.

  771. This is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

  772. But I'm telling you, what will take you to heaven is confessing Jesus as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

  773. Buana Sifiwa.

  774. As I finish, Pastor Kinity come up here.

  775. God is a good God.

  776. Tell your neighbor, God is a good God.

  777. So look at your neighbor, tell your neighbor, confession means saying the same thing.

  778. Are you going to say the same thing?

  779. Amen.

  780. Husbands, say the same thing God says about your wife.

  781. Hallelujah.

  782. So find out what he said.

  783. And find the right things.

  784. There's so much to confess that is good.

  785. Let's confess good things about our nation.

  786. God is lifting us up.

  787. Let's say good things about Parky.

  798. Tell your neighbor, I shall be mighty in the land.

  799. My children shall be mighty in the land.

  800. My cousins shall be mighty in the land.

  801. I will be mighty in the land.

  802. My season has come.

  803. My fortune is here.

  804. My blessing has come.

  806. And there's nothing the devil can do about it.
