  1. I am reading from Romans chapter 8, verse 14 to verse 17.

    Romans 8:14

  2. For those of us who come regularly, you know this month we have been emphasizing two words, adoption and sonship.

  3. And that culminates this week as we go into another theme in the month of September.

  4. And so I will read two short passages: one in Romans, the other one in Galatians, Romans chapter 8, from verse 14, NIV version.

    Romans 8 chapter mention

  5. For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

  6. The spirit you receive does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again.

  7. Rather, the spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.

  8. And by him we cry, Abba, Father.

  9. The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.

  10. This is the highest level of testimony that can happen about anyone.

  11. And that's how God testifies about us.

  12. And in verse 17, now if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ.

  13. If indeed we share in his suffering in order that we may also share in his glory.

  14. Then verse 4, but when the said time had fully come, God sent his son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law that we might receive adoption to sonship.

  15. Because you are no longer, because you are his sons, God sent the spirit of his son into our hearts, the spirit who calls out Abba Father.

  16. I want us to read verse 7 together.

  17. So you are no longer a slave, but God's child.

  18. And since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.

  19. And because the gist of the message of today is here, I would like us to make it first person.

  20. So you'll be saying, So um, I am no longer, let's do it together.

  21. So I'm no longer a slave, but God's child.

  22. And since I am his child, God has made me also an heir.

  23. Almighty God, I thank you for that powerful declaration we just made that carries the truth of today's word.

  24. And God, I pray that you'll speak to our hearts.

  25. In Jesus' name we pray.

  26. Amen.

  27. We could have our seats.

  28. Thank you very much, choir.

  29. Thank you so much.

  30. And let me once again say Karibu Nisana and say that I appreciate all of us.

  31. Somebody who was here earlier said, You're looking good, and I want to confirm and affirm that from where I'm standing, you are looking wonderful.

  32. You are looking handsome and looking beautiful.

  33. And uh really appreciate that we are here as a family.

  34. We are a large family.

  35. There are those in the pavilion.

  36. Uh, God bless you.

  37. Why don't we appreciate the pavilion uh team?

  38. God bless you very much.

  39. We also have those who are worshiping with us around the world, those in Europe, the US, Canada, South America, Central America, those in the Middle East and also in Asia, those in Australia and New Zealand, those in the islands of the world, and those uh who are in different parts of Africa.

  40. We are one large family, and because um, when I don't say this, afterwards, somebody will text me and say, Parsi, you did not include us as you are greeting everyone.

  41. So I wanted to invite us to just give a hand clap to extend the greetings to them around the world.

  42. God bless you.

  43. Thank you very, very much.

  44. It's always a joy sharing God's word.

  45. And today I bring us a word titled Marks of Kingdom Sonship.

  46. And there are three areas we are going to consider.

  47. Marks of Kingdom Sonship.

  48. Like I said earlier, this month, the word adoption and the word sonship, those two words have been our words this month.

  49. Marks of Kingdom Sonship.

  50. Three areas: kingdom positioning, the kingdom position mark, kingdom provision, and kingdom purpose.

  51. I repeat the three kingdom positioning, kingdom provision, kingdom purpose.

  52. We start with kingdom positioning.

  53. In the book of Romans, chapter 8, verse 15, the Bible says the spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again.

    Romans 8:15

  54. Rather, the spirit, the word spirit repeated again, you received, brought about your adoption to sonship.

  55. And by him we cry Abba Father.

  56. That's a language of intimacy.

  57. A child to a parent and crying Abba Father.

  58. The Spirit Himself, the third time we say Spirit, uh Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.

  59. So there is God's Spirit and our Spirit and a testimony linking the two.

  60. Now, if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ.

  61. If indeed we share in his suffering, in order that we may also share in his glory.

  62. There is another scripture in Galatians chapter 4.

    Galatians 4 chapter mention

  63. I would also want to read verse 4.

  64. We read it earlier, I'm just reading once again from verse 4.

  65. But when the said time had fully come, God sent his son, born of a woman, born under the law, to read to redeem those under the law that we might receive adoption to sonship.

  66. Because you are his sons, God sent the spirit of his son into our hearts.

  67. The spirit who calls out, and now that could be the sixth time.

  68. So you are no longer, you're no longer, so you are no longer a slave, but God's child.

  69. And since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.

  70. This verse 7, we read it in first person, and I pray that the message of verse 7 comes through.

  71. Marks of kingdom sonship, first of all, kingdom positioning.

  72. Let me say that um adoption to sonship is a supernatural work.

  73. It is not the work of a man, it is the work of God a hundred percent.

  74. When you study in the Bible, the works of God, one key work that affects humanity directly is a work of adoption to sonship, it is a supernatural work.

  75. This work is carried out by the Holy Spirit.

  76. The Holy Spirit is at the center of the work of adoption and to sonship, and the Holy Spirit bases this work on another work we call the work of Christ on the cross, the finished work of Jesus on the cross, and therefore the finished work of Jesus on the cross.

  77. If you remember, Jesus, God sent his son, Jesus, who became a human being, lived among us, and then was put on the cross, nailed on the cross, and then he died, and he was buried in a tomb, and on the third day, Jesus Christ rose from the dead, and therefore the finished work of Jesus Christ gives us the elements that become seed.

  78. We call it seeding the adoption and seeding sonship, the cross and the completed work there, because it's not a half work, it's not a quarter work, it's not a three-quarter work.

  79. If God didn't finish that, if Jesus didn't finish that, we wouldn't be talking about adoption.

  80. In fact, this chapter would never have been written, and even the other one in Galatians.

  81. But because of what Jesus did on the cross, then he seeded a very special work that touches humanity.

  82. And this work is adoption unto sonship.

  83. Adoption unto sonship.

  84. And uh I thank God for the Holy Spirit because when the Holy Spirit comes, He always does a special work among people.

  85. Jesus, when he left, he said, I'm not leaving you as orphans, I'm going to send another one.

  86. In the Greek language, the para, kaleo, para, kaleo, it is the one called alongside because para is paraleo.

  87. He's called alongside, and kaleo is to call out.

  88. And so the para kaleo, paraklitos is the one who has been called to come after Jesus rose from the dead, that we may not remain as orphans, and that we may have God among us, and God continuing the supernatural work that was started by Jesus 2,000 years ago when he died and he was buried, and gave us the elements that bring salvation, the blood of Jesus, the power of the resurrection that is able to raise somebody from the depths of sin and literally pull them out, you know, and all those elements were granted by Jesus.

  89. And the Holy Spirit comes and he begins to minister.

  90. He begins to minister the intent of God and the plan of God, namely salvation.

  91. And uh oftentimes, when we preach salvation, and I know historically, given the mythological construct and the journey of uh of salvation and the ministration of the message of salvation, oftentimes we have fallen short.

  92. And even when we present the gospel, because Romans 1:16 says, you know, the gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who has faith.

    Romans 1:16

  93. And Paul said, I'm not ashamed of this gospel.

  94. To the Jew first and everyone else who would believe after that.

  95. The gospel carries power.

  96. And when I stand here and I begin to preach the gospel, there is power that comes across.

  97. Because the gospel is simply about Jesus, the one who died, and then he rose again.

  98. And if I just make that statement and I say, Jesus died for somebody, Jesus died for you, Jesus shed his blood for you, the Holy Spirit begins to do a work.

  99. We call it the adoption to sonship process, and he initiates it and he begins to do it in the life of somebody.

  100. Now, the gospel we have preached oftentimes is one that talks about the power to some extent, but does not deliver the fullness of salvation.

  101. And I believe that is why discipleship, probably in Africa, uh, never consummates and never brings people through completely to fully understand who they are and also to fully understand their mandate.

  102. And so Paul, writing to the church in Rome and also the church at Galatia, he realizes he must really bring out the fullness of the gospel.

  103. And in Romans chapter 8, which is a great celebration passage, by the way, Romans chapter 8 begins by saying, There is therefore no condemnation.

Romans 8 chapter mention Romans 8 chapter mention

  104. And it's a powerful affirmation passage.

  105. And towards the end, it rises to a crescendo as it begins to say, we are therefore more than conquerors.

  106. Begins at the entry by saying, There is no condemnation, but rises as if on a stairway to a height of celebration of this salvation.

  107. And uh he said, he therefore says, This is who we are.

  108. We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus our Lord.

  109. And he says that what then shall separate us from the love of God?

  110. Shall death, shall famine, shall tribulation, shall things in this present world, shall things in the world to come, shall heights, shall depths, shall angels, shall demons.

  111. And he says, Nay, in all of this we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus our Lord.

  112. He was trying to help them to understand the fullness of their salvation and what the gospel power actually grants a believer, somebody who comes to Christ.

  113. And therefore, you find that the gospel has been preached, and then a sinner's prayer is done, an invitation is done, and then somebody is prayed for.

  114. They pray, forgive me of my sins, I confess my sins.

  115. And indeed, when you come by faith and you pray the sinner's prayer, we know grace and faith.

  116. Actually, at that point, you become a child of God, and actually you receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, and you are actually on the process, belt, or chain of salvation.

  117. Because we talk about salvation now, you know, and salvation as you continue to grow.

  118. And then we talk about salvation in the presence of the Lord, which means then uh there is justification, there is sanctification, and there is glorification.

  119. But you you realize Paul in these passages talks in these several verses, whether it's Romans or Galatians, that are so critical to the understanding of the fullness of our salvation.

  120. And let me say this that we would not understand the fullness of the salvation and the beauty of the salvation granted to us until we understand sonship and we understand adoption into sonship.

  121. And I did start by saying that it is a total supernatural work, it is not the work of a human being, uh, it is God who does it, and that is why it's possible for anyone around the world, anywhere in the world, to experience salvation.

  122. And I really appreciate the Holy Spirit.

  123. He convicts concerning sin and righteousness.

  124. No one can ever do that, even if I preached here like an angel, unless the Holy Spirit visits you and begins to connect you with that message and begins to convict you about sin and righteousness, then you can never really get saved.

  125. And we say salvation from A to Z is a work of God.

  126. Salvation from A to Z is a work of God.

  127. There is no hand other than God's hand that can save a man or save a woman.

  128. And so sonship is part of that package.

  129. And so you hear a lot of people uh live at the level of saying, I'm born again, my sins were forgiven, and that's all the testimony they ever have.

  130. But I want to refresh something here today, and that's what we are doing this month, um, to remind us that we are sons.

  131. And really, this is not gender aligned.

  132. This sonship, the word sons, sonship, as we see it here, is not gender aligned.

  133. Both men and women are sons.

  134. Hallelujah.

  135. I want to refresh something here that will lead us out of this service with confidence and great joy and also appreciation of the salvation that was rendered for us through our Lord Jesus Christ.

  136. And so the Holy Spirit picks what Jesus did and then applies it at a personal level.

  137. You're talking about every individual.

  138. It's a work of the Holy Spirit.

  139. And uh, the Holy Spirit continues to apply the works of God in the lives of people throughout nations and throughout history.

  140. Even me as an individual, I have a journey, I have walk, and I have a testimony of how the Holy Spirit has worked in my life.

  141. The only critical key is that you have to allow him and you have to surrender.

  142. Ah, we we have words we call like baptism of the Holy Spirit, which means totally coming under.

  143. In the Greek, it's a word who potasso, it's a military word, which means to choose voluntarily to come under, you come under something.

  144. Baptizo, who potasso, and you choose to come under, and I chose to do that under the Holy Spirit, and uh he begins to do a work, and unless you open the door of your life, God cannot begin to do that supernatural work, and uh, and so the work you will see that I I share today kingdom positioning, work of the Holy Spirit, kingdom provision, work of the Holy Spirit, kingdom purpose, work of the Holy Spirit, and uh a kingdom son is one who has allowed this work, and that's why they are marked by these things, who has allowed this work to actually happen uh within them, and so sonship goes beyond just accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior.

  145. Sonship is a position, is a position, it's also a mindset, it is an understanding.

  146. You know, in the book of Luke, chapter 15, Luke chapter 15, verse 28 to verse 32.

Luke 15 chapter mention Luke 15:28

  147. There was a gentleman there who was a son, but he did not understand sonship.

  148. He was a son in the house of his father, but did not understand sonship.

  149. It is possible to be a believer, to be in the church, you know, but never really understand sonship.

  150. If you know this story, it's a story of the prodigal son.

  151. The brother of this gentleman called here the elder brother, actually took his inheritance, went to a far country, wasted his inheritance, and then finally comes back home.

  152. And when he comes back home, the elder son must have been watching what transpired.

  153. The father receives him, you know, endorsed him with regalia, the ring, uh, and then the robe and the sandals, and then there is a fatted calf that is slaughtered, and there is a party that is called to celebrate him.

  154. The elder son is watching it and is not happy.

  155. And he's the one who says the following what we read here now.

  156. The older brother became angry.

  157. That's the way it's defined.

  158. Angry.

  159. He became angry and refused to go into that party that was actually happening, that was happening.

  160. So his father went out and pleaded with him.

  161. Imagine the father comes out and is really pleading with the elder son.

  162. He's not happy with the party that the brother has come back home.

  163. He's not happy at all.

  164. But he answered his father, look, we exclamation, that means must have been loud.

  165. He raised his voice.

  166. Look, all these years I've been slaving for you.

  167. That's what, that's how he viewed himself.

  168. That's how he viewed himself, a slave.

  169. That's the way he was looking at himself, a slave.

  170. And there are people who even serve in God's house, and uh, you know, but they see it as slavitude, they see it as as a slave, as a chore, you know.

  171. I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed um your orders.

  172. Yet you never, that's what he's saying, yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends.

  173. But this son of yours, not he's not even saying his brother, he's saying, but this son of yours who has squandered, look at that.

  174. Description.

  175. And sometimes when people get saved and somebody comes forward getting saved, and you know this guy has been a criminal, you are starting, you are sitting up here somewhere.

  176. Is it that one?

  177. Yeah, and the way he has messed up many people's lives.

  178. How, how, how, how does this?

  179. Yeah, just like John Newton, who was a slave trader, and eventually the grace of God catches up with him and he gets saved.

  180. And some people wonder, what is this?

  181. Or even the apostle Paul, who was even a murderer, and he got, he received this grace, you know, of salvation.

  182. And this elder son is saying, uh, he has quandered your property with prostitutes.

  183. Look at the way he's describing it.

  184. How did he get to know this?

  185. I don't know whether they are communicated, but probably he's just exaggerating.

  186. Yeah.

  187. Comes home and then look at the father and his grace and his love.

  188. You remember John 3.16?

  189. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him, whoever, whosoever, it doesn't matter your history, it doesn't matter your background, whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

  190. Go back to verse 30.

  191. Did I finish it?

  192. Yeah, you kill the fattened calf for him.

  193. Then now, why don't we read verse 31 together?

  194. My son, the father, see, you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.

  195. Every son must understand this.

  196. Everything God has is ours, and all along it has been like that.

  197. And so there is a need to rise above the kindergarten of faith and go to adoption, understanding adoption, and also a sonship.

  198. This is the essence of it.

  199. This young gentleman had been there all along.

  200. He is a son anyway, but he had not understood sonship.

  201. Everything that was there, everything that was there was actually his.

  202. And oftentimes we live a life lesser than the life God ordained for us.

  203. You know, John 10 10 says the thief comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy.

  204. But Jesus came that we might do what?

  205. Have life and have it what?

  206. Abundantly.

  207. When you talk about abundant life, and oftentimes you are a child of God, but you're not living like a son.

  208. So the Holy Spirit has positioned you.

  209. Now, this this is a statement, is a is a truth, is a statement based on uh what we've just the position the Holy Spirit has positioned you in a position called Son, and that positioning has been done by adoption based on what Jesus did on the cross, and so you are a son, and it is important that you appropriate and get refreshed regarding this identity, it is the new identity we have in Christ.

  210. 2 Corinthians 5 17 says what has anybody memorized it?

  211. 2 Corinthians 5 verse 17.

    2 Corinthians 5:17

  212. Do I pick somebody here at random?

  213. 2 Corinthians 5 verse 17.

    2 Corinthians 5:17

  214. What does it say?

  215. Anybody who memorized this verse?

  216. 2nd Corinthians 5 verse 17.

  217. Yes.

  218. Anyone there, also?

  219. Yes, I hear you.

  220. If anyone is in crisis, a new creation, the old forever, bye-bye, don't go back fishing.

  221. It's called breaking the guilt syndrome.

  222. The yoke of guilt is broken because you say bye-bye.

  223. Nothing should come from your past, speaking into your present and a future, and accusing you about anything.

  224. Because that moment when you receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, that past is broken.

  225. And the Bible says you are given a new identity, a new beginning.

  226. Yeah, it's a new creation.

  227. The old is gone.

  228. Behold, the the new has come.

  229. The old me is finished, is dead, is gone, and I have a new me.

  230. And by the processing of the Holy Spirit, may somebody get this revelation that you are now a son.

  231. A son, a son.

  232. When you are a son, a number of descriptions.

  233. First Peter 2, verse 9 and 10 says, You are a royal priesthood, a holy nation.

    1 Peter 2:9

  234. You are a chosen person, and you are special.

  235. There are four things.

  236. Yeah, now walking into sonship.

  237. Because we need to rise to that level and see ourselves as heaven sees us.

  238. Four things there: chosen, royal, holy, special.

  239. Hallelujah.

  240. That you may do what?

  241. Declare the wonderful deeds of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

  242. Beyond just getting born again in terms of your sins are forgiven.

  243. There are several words that describe, because you are a son, that identity, God says a lot about it.

  244. Now, not only are you these things that are written there in 1 Peter chapter 2, uh, verse 9 and 10, I want you to know that you have authority.

    1 Peter 2 chapter mention

  245. Authority.

  246. Somebody say authority.

  247. Matthew 16, verse 19.

    Matthew 16:19

  248. And also Luke chapter 10, verse 19.

    Luke 10:19

  249. We shall do the two verses.

  250. Matthew 16, verse 19.

    Matthew 16:19

  251. I will do what?

  252. I'll give you the keys.

  253. Sons have keys.

  254. And which keys are these?

  255. Keys of the kingdom of heaven.

  256. Whatever you bind on earth, burn in heaven.

  257. Whatever you lose on earth is.

  258. Hallelujah.

  259. Let's connect it quickly with Matthew 16, uh, Luke chapter 10, verse 19.

    Luke 10:19

  260. Luke 9 uh 10 and verse 19.

  261. Let's read it together.

  262. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy.

  263. Nothing will harm you.

  264. Let's give a hand to Jesus.

  265. Understanding sonship.

  266. This is the realm God is calling the church in Africa, Parklands Baptist Church, after Jubilee.

  267. We did the altar on August the 9th.

  268. God commissioned us into a future.

  269. We say hashtag the future starts now.

  270. That we go now understanding our position and where we are.

  271. And I know this coming Saturday we are having Jubilee Reflections conference that brings us together to begin to look at this future and jot down what has the Lord told us regarding this future.

  272. We are matching as sons, sons corporate, sons individually, we are sons.

  273. Yes, let's celebrate that fact again.

  274. We are sons.

  275. When a policeman stands to stop a car on the road, what carries him is the authority through the crown and he's got the crown and he stands there, a person just like us, but because he's got the crown, he stands there and he puts his hand up and your vehicle comes stopping, and you really become humble.

  276. No, I've seen this generally when people are stopped by policemen.

  277. Uh, either to, I don't know why people become suddenly humble, to touch the heart of the policeman so that he doesn't do whatever he wants to do.

  278. They become very humble.

  279. You know, and some even salute at that particular time.

  280. What you are responding to is a crown.

  281. And this guy has exercised his authority, and the car has stopped.

  282. And from there, you have to listen very keenly to what this guy has to do to say, because it's almost like your life is in his hands.

  283. I want us to understand, as sons, God has given us authority in heaven, on earth, and under the earth.

  284. And you have a key as well, not just authority.

  285. And what you bind on earth is bound in heaven, what you lose on earth is also lost in heaven.

  286. Now the calling, the sonship calls.

  287. It calls that you exercise his authority in this Monday.

  288. And uh, when we go to places where people are sick, you know, where demons have been infested, you know, we go to all these spaces.

  289. Then we enter as sons, and you enter with a confidence that you are an overcomer and that God has made you a son.

  290. Oftentimes, a lot of people will invite us to come into their homes and spaces to pray prayers, they should pray.

  291. You know, to pray prayers, they should be praying.

  292. Yet God is saying, You're a son, and uh where I have positioned you, operate like a son.

  293. You have a key, you have authority.

  294. And I have heard uh oftentimes people talking about the mighty prophet of God.

  295. I wonder where that comes from.

  296. We have a mighty God, hallelujah! Yes, we are servants of a mighty, yes.

  297. I'm a pastor of a mighty God, and it's a mighty God as I exercise my sonship who actually brings a difference in the scenario.

  298. And uh, I want you to know that you are a son and that you have a key, you also have authority, and you can exercise this authority wherever the Lord has actually uh put you.

  299. And so, cultism.

  300. You know, people have walked away from their sonship and they have started started following others who are exercising their sonship.

  301. Receive your sonship again, restoration.

  302. This Jubilee, one word we have we have we have seven R's.

  303. One is restoration.

  304. Come back to the place of restoration, come back to the place of rain.

  305. We also have the word rain.

  306. You have dominion, and God has given you power, and you can also stand in that particular place and actually make a difference in your office, you know, in your house, you can make that difference.

  307. In the first service, I talked about some people who are not getting sleep, and uh, moderator, this has become a common problem now in the city.

  308. People are not sleeping the whole night, and uh you have people when the sleepers just started coming, a nightmare enters.

  309. You know, just when you start sleeping nicely, a nightmare.

  310. They jump and they are doing all kinds of things.

  311. They're supposed to be sleeping.

  312. Their bed is not meant for you to fight, that's not a uh a battleground.

  313. Your bed is for sleep, so they are there instead of sleeping, the nightmare comes.

  314. They are seeing snakes that are coming to eat their head, and they are beginning to kick things.

  315. You are a son, hallelujah! You can rise and take your position and take your authority because the Holy Spirit has positioned you there, and therefore you are not an adornment, you know, you are a vital part of God's kingdom and call God's workings, and by the Holy Spirit, God has invited a son, God has invited a king, and God wants you to stand with him on earth, you know, to achieve his uh what he what he tends to achieve.

  316. And right there, you can rise and you say, Psalms chapter 4, verse 8 says, I shall have peace.

    Psalms 4:8

  317. Psalms chapter 4 verse 8.

    Psalms 4:8

  318. Yeah, in peace I will do what?

  319. I will lie down and sleep.

  320. For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.

  321. And if you are afraid, that's a good verse, also.

  322. And you can take it, it's a key.

  323. I said you are given key, you are given authority.

  324. The key is in declarations, the key is in the word of God.

  325. You are a son, you have the word of God, and you begin to declare, and you say, Tonight I take charge and dominion in this bedroom, and I decree and declare that the demons of lack of sleep, their tendency is broken.

  326. They are now persona non grata.

  327. This is not a hosting place for sleepless demons, and in Jesus' name I cast you out of my bedroom, and you're not coming back.

  328. Hallelujah! Rise as a son and begin to exercise sonship, and then you go back into that bed.

  329. And I'm telling you, you can tell me next Sunday, if it doesn't happen, that you will sleep like a baby.

  330. You will sleep like a baby.

  331. Sons sleep like babies, and you know, Jesus used to pray like a son.

  332. Matthew 3, verse 17.

    Matthew 3:17

  333. The father was very happy with the son, Jesus, eh?

  334. And and there was a voice, he was so happy.

  335. He said something.

  336. He said, What?

  337. This is my son, whom I love.

  338. With him I'm well pleased.

  339. And Jesus related with his father very well, he knew sonship.

  340. That's why he was never unruffled by anything.

  341. There is a storm, the disciples have panicked.

  342. Jesus is just sleeping on the stern of the boat while these guys have panicked.

  343. You know, because he's a son.

  344. He understands that he's a son.

  345. He's sleeping actually when there is a storm.

  346. His prayers were prayers of thanksgiving.

  347. And that's why the disciples came to him and said, praying like a son, you don't have to fight too much, you don't have to struggle too much.

  348. You know what God has said.

  349. You understand your position, you stand in his presence like a son, and you pray a prayer, Lord, I thank you.

  350. In fact, Lord, I thank you for the miracle, it has already happened.

  351. And because he used to pray like that, the people who watched him pray, Luke 11, verse 1, Luke chapter 11, verse 1, they would watch Jesus pray.

    Luke 11:1 Luke 11:1

  352. Here they said, our prayers are not like the ones you know he's praying.

  353. And he said, Lord, teach us.

  354. We want to pray the way you are praying, praying like a son.

  355. And you know the prayer he taught them?

  356. Our father.

  357. Exactly.

  358. Simple, my father.

  359. And when you look at Romans 8, the word is Abba Father.

  360. It is daddy, if you are to use today's language.

  361. You're coming into God's presence and you are saying, Daddy, my daddy in heaven.

  362. Can you imagine you have a daddy in heaven?

  363. Children, when they walk with their daddies, they feel like they can conquer the whole world.

  364. And they also feel like the daddy can provide everything.

  365. In a supermarket, they want daddy to buy everything.

  366. But you know, my daddy, my daddy is powerful.

  367. Hallelujah! And he's really able.

  368. Jesus prayed with a clear demeanor, a very peaceful demeanor.

  369. He understood is a son.

  370. He didn't have to fight, he didn't have to contest, he didn't have whatever.

  371. And therefore, his prayers are different.

  372. And sons, even the way they operate, it's totally different.

  373. And he prayed, led us in this prayer, our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come.

  374. The next level is thy kingdom.

  375. You're calling power, kingdom come, your will be done here as it is done in heaven.

  376. Now, I have done point number one.

  377. I'm looking at the time and seeing, maybe we should just be doing one.

  378. But understanding sons, and if you just got that one, so the Holy Spirit has been working very hard to bring you from that place of just I've been forgiven, my sins have been forgiven, to the full unveiling and revelation and understanding of who you really are, your identity.

  379. And let me say the moment you understand your identity, nobody can shake you, no one, nowhere.

  380. Who is that who is going to shake you?

  381. And you understand who you are, you are the son of the most high God.

  382. And uh today uh I was going to talk about heirs in the next point and so on.

  383. Maybe we'll do continue there.

  384. But today, I just want you to understand that you are a son, and for that reason, you don't owe anybody an apology.

  385. You don't.

  386. So don't be like the elder son.

  387. Although he was in the house of the father, he didn't understand sonship.

  388. But we pray that God uh leads us to fully refresh our sonship.

  389. Um based on this, therefore, Parklands Baptist Church will march into the next 50 years as a church of sons.

  390. Hallelujah! Parklands Baptist Church shall march forward as a son corporate and as a son individually, and we shall move boldly.

  391. When I come to finish this message another time, I'll talk about some things I was going to talk about, what the Lord is showing us in Europe, you know, and time has come to begin to go in all those places, and the Lord showed me us filling the cathedrals, the empty cathedrals in Europe.

  392. Hallelujah! Mindset of a son, vision of a son.

  393. God has given us the whole world.

  394. That's how our son thinks, that's a vision of a son.

  395. And a son church, church, son church, let me call it like that, has that kind of mindset.

  396. And it thinks the whole world.

  397. There are many cathedrals that are empty in Europe.

  398. Time has come for us to begin to adopt those cathedrals, begin to network and connect with the diaspora, our diaspora, who are in Europe.

  399. And as I talk of Europe, I'm talking about other parts of the world as well.

  400. And these diaspora members will seeing us sons and the mindset of sons, we shall connect with you as you adopt, lead us in adopting those cathedrals, and as we begin to do small Bible studies, small groups, and then begin to grow them inside those cathedrals.

  401. And I'm praying for a kingdom partnership that leads us to populate those cathedrals right from here at Parklands Baptist Church.

  402. And why not?

  403. Why not?

  404. Why not?

  405. Is it out of reach?

  406. I say no.

  407. Fifty years has given us a people, the human resource base.

  408. 50 years, and God is so good, is so faithful.

  409. The human resource base here comes from every county in Kenya.

  410. If you wanted to reach Kenya, every county, people can meet in small groups from every county.

  411. They can begin to pray for every county in Kenya, they can begin to plan and strategize a strategy for every county in Kenya.

  412. God has given us people from 30 nations in this church.

  413. We can form clusters of these peoples in these nations.

  414. We can begin to reach 30 nations simultaneously, first by prayer and then laying out strategies and begin to see what is it we can do in this nation.

  415. I'm talking like a son.

  416. Hallelujah! Because that position is a special position.

  417. We are sitting at the right hand side of the Father.

  418. Ephesians 2, verse 6.

    Ephesians 2:6

  419. We have been raised and we are seated together with Christ in the heavenly realms.

  420. We have the mind and counsel of God.

  421. We hear the whispers of heaven.

  422. We walk in revelation and we walk in discernment because that is where the Lord has placed us.

  423. Somebody like Joseph in Egypt activated his sonship.

  424. Somebody like Daniel in Babylon activated his sonship.

  425. One person who understands sonship will bring change to a city, to a nation, and to a whole world.

  426. You think about a church like Parkland's Baptist Church with a diversity of skills and platforms and people from different backgrounds, and this jubilee has opened our eyes to look even very closely because when we asked for volunteers, people came in droves.

  427. And what you saw here on August 9 was the work of all of us in terms of giving, time, energy, resources, and skills.

  428. We raised an altar and God poured his spirit, and on that basis, now we are understanding sonship, refreshing sonship, restoration, and we are moving, and we are going to move big.

  429. And let me say this that's our identity.

  430. And I pray for someone who has come to this service that you will go out saying, I am a son.

  431. But also you'll go out saying, I am a co heir, which was going to be my second point.

  432. I'm a co heir with.

  433. Christ, and you go home saying, I have a mission and a mandate, and in my lifetime I shall fulfill it.

  434. So that when they are burying you or me, they don't just say what happened.

  435. Because it's like born and then died.

  436. In between here, it was like we, you know the way what happened?

  437. Because there's nothing in between here, you know, born and died.

  438. Was born on this day, died this day.

  439. It was just anywhere like that.

  440. Are we?

  441. I wish Pastor Ambrose was here because he can catch that very quickly, do it very nicely.

  442. You appeared and disappeared.

  443. Nothing happened in between here.

  444. But my prayer is this that our church will discern the hour we are in.

  445. And every individual will discern the hour we are in.

  446. 1 Chronicles 12, verse 32 says the sons of Israel were wise.

    1 Chronicles 12:32

  447. 1 Chronicles chapter 12, verse 32.

    1 Chronicles 12:32

  448. Were wise in that they understood the times and they knew what Israel should do.

  449. May God help us to understand the season.

  450. I know it's a season of technology, globalization.

  451. It's a season um of internet and a lot of bombardment with stuff.

  452. And God is raising us as sons within that context.

  453. Let me quickly say this because I'm closing here.

  454. And when I start uh sharing and reflecting, uh, God begins to show me things.

  455. Where we are at right now is that there's going to be another scramble for Africa.

  456. And uh the north, south, east, and west, their eyes are on Africa.

  457. They are looking at our material base, but they are also looking at the human resource.

  458. The rest of the world, their eyes is on Africa.

  459. And as we go forward in the next 10 or so years, you will see many nations coming from all the ends of the earth to prospect and to try and get this or get that, because what they need is finished on the other side.

  460. It is only here in Africa.

  461. And I believe God has placed it here for a reason, for a time such as this.

  462. And nations are coming to our light and kings to the rising of our own.

  463. And if we walk with revelation, we shall not be just another church walking another 10 years walking, we, you know, just like that.

  464. But we shall position ourselves as sons, and we shall know what we need to do.

  465. I talked about empty cathedrals.

  466. Now I've talked about nations looking into Africa.

  467. And a lot of manipulation and stuff will will be will happen around this scramble, almost trying to colonize the continent again, but because of the church and because of our of our people, you know, and because of our prayer, I dec I declare prophetically, it will not happen.

  468. That will not be achieved.

  469. It will not happen.

  470. And therefore, God is raising sons, a people in Africa, you know, an unveiling revelation of sons who will now go to the ends of the earth, and what they will carry will change those world places and systems.

  471. Is it you that God is raising?

  472. Is it me?

  473. Is it my child?

  474. Is it my grandchild?

  475. What kind of prayer should I pray in a time such as this?

  476. And even as a church corporate, then what kind of prayer do we pray?

  477. And so we rise above just saying, I am saved, my sins were forgiven.

  478. That should be history.

  479. That's yes, it's there, it's a given.

  480. But now enter by the processing of the Holy Spirit, whereby we enter the space of sons.

  481. And uh sons determine the course of history, sons sit in the place of decision making, sons exercise authority, and sons give direction.

  482. As a pastor praying for Parklands Baptist Church, I am praying that sons be unveiled.

  483. That is my prayer for each one of us.

  484. Receive it in Jesus' name.

  485. Receive it in Jesus' name.

  486. That is who you are, and that's what God has said you are.

  487. And I pray that you really, really rise to the occasion.

  488. So we are going into interesting times as far as the future is concerned.

  489. Parklands Baptist Church, you are positioned by God very nicely.

  490. Uh, whether location, um, you are the only a unique church where the expressway, God put an expressway from the airport straight to land next to this church.

  491. Hallelujah.

  492. It's about the days that are coming.

  493. People will be coming from here, they'll be coming from all over the I see it in Jesus' name.

  494. And Parklands Baptist Church shall be a global conferencing center, and people shall come from the ends of the earth.

  495. They shall be inspired here, they shall be equipped here, and they shall be sent to the ends of the earth.

  496. This shall be the place.

  497. God has already prepared the hotels where they shall stay.

  498. When you go through this door, look that side, look the other side, look the other side.

  499. High-rise hospitality centers.

  500. Hotels have been positioned by God around us for what He's about to do.

  501. Are you ready?

  502. Are you ready, church?

  503. Are you ready for what God is about to do?

  504. And this is what God is calling us to be sons.

  505. If you are going to be a hair, then you got to understand sonship first.

  506. And if you're going to do the mandate and the purpose, it starts by the positioning as a son, then provision, and then the purpose.

  507. And uh so today, God has marked you as a kingdom son.

  508. He has done that by positioning you, he has done that by providing for you, and he has done that by giving you purpose.

  509. Position, provision, and purpose.

  510. The Holy Spirit, he has worked over the last 50 years preparing Parklands Baptist Church for exactly what is about to happen from here going forward.

  511. And I'm very excited as a pastor in this church.

  512. I'm very, very excited because I'm telling you, in the next few years, even this building will not be enough.

  513. Yes, energy comes from vision, yeah, and a sense of mission.

  514. And and this this one here will become very small.

  515. So do we take it upwards?

  516. What's your suggestion?

  517. We remove the roof, we put another balcony.

  518. Do we put like three, four more balconies?

  519. Nah, I heard yes.

  520. If if we do balconies, then even me, the preacher, will need a lift, we'll need uh what do you call it?

  521. The thing that takes people up and down, a lift.

  522. Yeah, elevator.

  523. Yes, then this pulpit will be inside an elevator, and that elevator will have glass around it.

  524. Amazing.

  525. Hallelujah.

  526. I press a button, I preach that level, I press a button.

  527. The ones down here don't see me anymore, maybe just on the screen, like here.

  528. Alaf Nafika, fifth floor.

  529. By the way, when I was in China and uh ministering there, there was a pastor friend of mine, now he's going to be with the Lord.

  530. And he had a church, he's the only one who was allowed to be public, a church that had several stories of very narrow building, and you needed to, some members were sitting here, others who go, so you need to go up talking to the members, back a wo, then you come back again like this.

  531. But for us, because we shall have a lift, it's gonna be easy.

  532. Glass all around.

  533. Can you imagine Pastor Ambrose inside a glass lift in a pulpit like this one?

  534. And we are really preaching this gospel in Jesus' name, just saying your sons, your sons, your sons.

  535. So, do we go up?

  536. Do we go this way?

  537. Do we go the other way?

  538. It is food for thought.

  539. And because we are sons, when we gather, that is something small.

  540. The future is bright.

  541. Let's give a hand to the Lord.

  542. Glory to his name.

  543. Amen.

  544. Let's all stand up as we pray.

  545. I have said three things the Holy Spirit is doing in these last days in bringing his people, God's people, in understanding sonship, the positioning, the provision, and also the purpose.

  546. As I have shared the word of God, I don't know how it has come across to you.

  547. Those of you who are here in person, and uh if you are following online, wherever the Lord has put you, I don't know how it has come across to you, those in the pavilion as well, but I believe that there is something that God has quickened within you.

  548. This moment of prayer, as we think about adoption to sonship, as we reflect on who we really are, then on what we really have, and number three, on what God wants done.

  549. The three questions: who I am, what I have, and what wants me to do.

  550. As we reflect on this, I believe there is a point of departure for you, a point of connection also and consideration, where you say, as pastor is praying, that is me, that is man, mine, in this area of adoption and sonship.

  551. And I want to pray this specific prayer.

  552. As I said, the take home is that God has chosen to make us co-heirs with Christ, and He has adopted us as sons with the full rights and benefits of a kingdom son.

  553. You know, as we reflect on this offer that is coming to you, I think it's a time for us to begin to say, I am that son, I am that heir.

  554. And for that reason, as I leave this place, and pastor has shared prophetically how Africa, what is going to happen in the future, I need to be in the middle of that.

  555. And I'm going with the mind of a son, the authority of a son, the positioning of a son, I'm going into that future.

  556. May God lead us to the place where in the middle of the night you can wake up.

  557. Like me, I normally have I'll have a Bible and a notebook next to me.

  558. And in the middle of the night you wake up and God is showing you things.

  559. And you start writing.

  560. If you see the number of things, you know, I write, and the mind of a son, and God shows you nations and begins to tell you it's gonna be like this.

  561. I want, I want, I want you to serve me this way.

  562. I want the church to go this direction, and God just, you know, and I start writing, and normally very exciting moments, and I'm praying that God will lead us to those spaces where we shall see ourselves as in charge, as sons, as reigning, as in control.

  563. That home.

  564. Don't take a back seat, that family, that issue.

  565. Why are you hiding behind others?

  566. And you're like number seven, why are you allowing a think tank while you're a consumer of a thought process?

  567. Why not pray for creativity and pray for innovation?

  568. Why not come to the front lines of solving even city problems, national problems, continental problems, like David bringing down Goliath, he was only 17 years old, he solved a national problem.

  569. So I believe that this church corporate, given 50 years behind us, given who we are, I'm telling you that what is possible is beyond imagination.

  570. It is just beyond imagination.

  571. As we leave this place, let us allow ourselves to enter that space so that we can change the nations for the glory of God.

  572. And so I'm going to be praying, God will lead you at a personal level to know how you engage, but I feel an anointing.

  573. The adoption to sonship, rising above, I am saved, I am forgiven.

  574. Rise above that, allow the Holy Spirit to get you to the place you're in charge and begin to exercise your dominion in Christ.

  575. And so you connect as I pray, and I know that beginning now, because it's like a commissioning service, for the next many years, hashtag the future starts now.

  576. God is going to do great things through each one of us.

  577. Let's pray.

  578. My Lord and my God, you made us for signs and wonders.

  579. Jesus, you said in John chapter 14, greater works than this you shall do.

    John 14 chapter mention

  580. And you are talking to your disciples.

  581. I can feel the sense of responsibility on my shoulders that I should say what heaven is saying.

  582. The finest congregation in Africa, yet with the highest calling and the highest responsibility.

  583. Lord, that you say the time has come to understand adoption and understand sanction.

  584. And God, if we don't, who will in Africa?

  585. And therefore, God, we chose to cooperate with the Holy Spirit today, even as I have spoken your word, and your word is life and spirit.

  586. In aligning with what heaven is saying about us, that we are sons, kingdom sons, and we are adopted, and we have the full rights and privileges of the sonship, and that we are seated in the highest place.

  587. We have the mind of Christ, and that together with that, we have a responsibility.

  588. We have Kenya, we have Africa, and we have the nations.

  589. God, first we thank you for every equipment.

  590. We come from different platforms, we have different trainings, we have different skills, and all of this have been afforded to us so that we may have an entry point into the exercise of sonship.

  591. We also have homes.

  592. Lord, we have uh spaces, uh domains where God you have put us.

  593. And uh beginning now, going out, we are taking charge in Jesus' name.

  594. Nothing puts us down, nothing second-guesses us, we shall be clear, nothing puts us as number seven.

  595. In fact, the Bible says, You shall be head and not tail, you shall be top and not bottom.

  596. Lord, we are going out as world changers, and I thank you for calling us sons from Romans 8 and Galatians 4.

  597. It is it cannot be mistaken, it is very clear.

  598. We are not slaves, we are co-heirs with Christ.

  599. And my God, therefore, as we leave this place, I pray that we shall exercise this sonship.

  600. And as I'm praying, I know we are connecting with the prayer.

  601. Somebody is connecting with this prayer at their own level, and God wants you to enter, God wants you to connect.

  602. Pray that prayer.

  603. Today is a day.

  604. Hashtag the future starts now, and God wants to use you as a son in this future.

  605. God will use somebody here like he used Daniel.

  606. God will use somebody here, like he used Joseph.

  607. God will use somebody here, like he used Esther, who was a queen.

  608. God will use somebody here, like he used Deborah, who was also a judge and also a commander-in-chief, a lady who stood out.

  609. God will use somebody here, like he used Joshua.

  610. And there are many areas of application of sonship.

  611. And you are here.

  612. Connect as a person.

  613. God knows you by name, God understands, God saved you, not just to fill a pew or fill a church and become a number.

  614. God saved you to be a son.

  615. That was his mission.

  616. And today, connect at your level.

  617. My father, I thank you for the responses that have come, both in person and those who are following online.

  618. And I know that God, as we move out of this place, our world will never be the same again.

  619. Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, you who processes people from nobody's, from nothing, through adoption process to sonship.

  620. Holy Spirit, do your work.

  621. We give you permission.

  622. And even corporately as a church, Parklands Baptist Church, Holy Spirit, come upon us afresh.

  623. The same way you did at Pentecost, and those people could not stay in the upper room anymore.

  624. They went downstairs, they went out, they went to the city, and the church was born.

  625. And through that upper room experience, we are beneficiaries.

  626. Because Holy Spirit, you came down on a small group, and that group understood who they were, and they marched out and they made a difference.

  627. Holy Spirit, we are here.

  628. Come upon us.

  629. And I pray that by the power of the Holy Spirit, Acts 1.8, you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit is come upon you, and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in Judea, in Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the world.

  630. By the power of the Holy Spirit, wherever I go as a person, and I declare that about my children and my grandchildren, generations from me, I decree and declare from this pulpit they shall make a difference for the Lord.

  631. And Lord God, I know we shall be mighty and strong in the land.

  632. That is our portion.

  633. Because I've prayed this prayer in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and we all say, let's give a hand clap to Jesus.

  634. Now, we are going to the ninth month.

  635. And number nine, uh, we blew the trumpet nine times during Jubilee, birthing a new season, a new fifty years, new seasons for everyone, and I know new things will keep popping up.

  636. Now, number nine aligns with the nine of the trumpet.

  637. So September is going to be a very, very special month for all of us.

  638. I declare it a month of birthing.

  639. Yes.

  640. Something new, something special is coming your way.

  641. You've probably never seen anything fresh, but this coming month, September, God is coming through.

  642. And therefore, as we live today, you can lift your hands to God.

  643. May the blessing of new beginnings descend on you.

  644. May the blessing of birthing, new dispensation come upon you.

  645. May the blessing of creativity and innovation come upon you.

  646. May God watch your going out.

  647. May God watch your coming in.

  648. You are blessed in the city.

  649. You are blessed in the country.

  650. The fruit of your womb is blessed.

  651. The work of your hands is blessed.

  652. You are blessed with divine protection.

  653. And God is saying here today, no weapon fashioned against you shall ever prosper.

  654. You are blessed through and through.

  655. On Monday, on Tuesday, on Wednesday, on Thursday, on Friday, on Saturday, on Sunday, through the month of September.

  656. There's a special birthing blessing coming your way in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

  657. And we all say, Let's give a big hand clap to Jesus.

  658. Glory to God.

  659. Glory to God.

  660. Glory to God.

  661. And now may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us now and forevermore.

  662. Amen.

  663. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever and ever.

  664. Amen.

  665. Shalom.
