[SPEAKER_00]: Let's all turn.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Romans chapter three.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's twenty-two.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's twenty-four.

[SPEAKER_00]: Romans chapter three.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's twenty-three to twenty-four.

[SPEAKER_00]: And if you can please stand on the reading of God's Word.

[SPEAKER_00]: As we read this, Romans three, twenty-two through twenty-four says,

[SPEAKER_00]: This righteousness of God comes through faith in Jesus Christ who all and upon all who believe.

[SPEAKER_00]: There is no distinction for all have sin to come short of the glory of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: God bless and honor the reading of his word that you may be seated.

[SPEAKER_00]: But last couple of weeks, we have spoken about Rome.

[SPEAKER_00]: We have spoken about Roma.

[SPEAKER_00]: The first one was called Win and Rome.

[SPEAKER_00]: The next one was called Roman down the road of life.

[SPEAKER_00]: We missed in my trip to Rome, January, the twenty first of the twenty fifth and two thousand and one.

[SPEAKER_00]: We talked about the Roman Empire that started in twenty seven BC until four hundred seventy six eighty.

[SPEAKER_00]: That means the end of the nominee of the year of our Lord.

[SPEAKER_00]: BC does it mean.

[SPEAKER_00]: BC E before common areas, meaning we'll try to tell you.

[SPEAKER_00]: It means BC before Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it means.

[SPEAKER_00]: Rome dominated the globe during that time as we said, including Israel.

[SPEAKER_00]: Roman, the Romans inspired me, places on the globe as we've talked about.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was inspired by many places and inspired by many places and inspired by many places and inspired by many places, mostly Greece.

[SPEAKER_00]: We've talked about.

[SPEAKER_00]: And because of that, there was about thirty false gods and goddesses that were inspired in about twelve or more.

[SPEAKER_00]: about twenty in all of the Greece false gods.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that we spoke about.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's the plan as we spoke of.

[SPEAKER_00]: There are many of them in the name of the false gods.

[SPEAKER_00]: Amongst the days and many other things were affected.

[SPEAKER_00]: Today, we're going to try to finish Paul's letter to Rome.

[SPEAKER_00]: He was in Corinth when he wrote this when he wrote to the Romans.

[SPEAKER_00]: He hadn't visited Rome yet.

[SPEAKER_00]: He visited Rome twice.

[SPEAKER_00]: Both times weren't the greatest.

[SPEAKER_00]: One time he was the president of the next time he was at a wreck.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can read about that book of Acts, by the way, in the last part.

[SPEAKER_00]: He was in a ship wreck.

[SPEAKER_00]: People try to talk about Christian life always being simple.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's stupid in a lie.

[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of times you go through difficulties, it happens all the time.

[SPEAKER_00]: But the title today's sermon is called a Rebederci Roma.

[SPEAKER_00]: A Rebederci Roma because we're talking about leaving.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's an old song from Dean Martin.

[SPEAKER_00]: I love Dean Martin.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know right now it's going through head of Rebederci Roma.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know because I love, I love Dino.

[SPEAKER_00]: Love him.

[SPEAKER_00]: Love him, love him.

[SPEAKER_00]: Either way,

[SPEAKER_00]: A revered dirty aroma, and the first part of this sermon we're going to call a revered dirty flesh.

[SPEAKER_00]: The inner battle of moral law.

[SPEAKER_00]: The inner battle of moral law, in fact, when we first go into the parts that we haven't covered yet, oh, we talked a little bit about chapter ten last week, just a little bit when we were talking about the Roman road and about salvation.

[SPEAKER_00]: But in chapter seven, it talks about the analogy of marriage that you are dead to the law

[SPEAKER_00]: and now married to Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it talks about the fulfillment of the law, with Jesus' is, and that we can't save us.

[SPEAKER_00]: Our actions cannot save us.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's where it starts off.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it talks about the law.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the moral law, most have talked about their thinking, ma'am.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's other parts to go to that, but mostly the thinking, ma'am, or the moral law, and it's still good.

[SPEAKER_00]: And still good.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now does that mean you have to fulfill everything one of those things to be saved?

[SPEAKER_00]: No.

[SPEAKER_00]: But it means when you're saved, you will fulfill those things.

[SPEAKER_00]: Not because you fulfill them, but you will live by them, because it's a direction.

[SPEAKER_00]: But we personally are not able to complete the law ourselves.

[SPEAKER_00]: What does that mean?

[SPEAKER_00]: It means this.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you try to put the puzzle together, you person cannot put that puzzle together in this situation.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because no matter what you try, every time you try to put that puzzle together, your hands are not perfect, it's like the puzzle piece will keep popping out.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why?

[SPEAKER_00]: Because we're not able to complete that puzzle.

[SPEAKER_00]: We don't have the ability to.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can say you don't have the pieces, whatever.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's a matter how you want to put it.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're not going to be able to complete it because we're not perfect.

[SPEAKER_00]: We don't have those pieces, but Jesus Christ is not only the one who completes that law, he's the one who has the clue to keep the puzzle together.

[SPEAKER_00]: And no matter how much you try, you're gonna fail.

[SPEAKER_00]: But Jesus can do it.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so let's now look to Romans chapter seven, twenty one through twenty five.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna end it.

[SPEAKER_00]: This part of Romans because we're gonna try.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, we're gonna try to go through some rest of the book of Romans.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, pastor, that's saying a lot.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's chapter seven through chapter sixteen.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but we're gonna try our best.

[SPEAKER_00]: So Romans seven, twenty one through twenty five says, I find then a law that when I desire to do good, evil is present with me.

[SPEAKER_00]: for I didn't lie in the law of God according to the inner man.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I see another law in my members talking about your body now.

[SPEAKER_00]: I find another law in my members worrying against the law of my mind and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin, which is in my members.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's talking about the old self.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's saying that you want to do good, but you can't do good on your own.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, why is he saying this to the people of Romans?

[SPEAKER_00]: Because some of these people were Jewish.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's a part of them.

[SPEAKER_00]: He talks about this also to the people, ecclesiasties, you know, the people also of Corinth and others, Paul says it's a lot to us, because we're trying to fulfill the law ourselves.

[SPEAKER_00]: So often we do the same.

[SPEAKER_00]: People with so often tried to be the ones of actions.

[SPEAKER_00]: To this day, there are people who try so often to do it themselves.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can't.

[SPEAKER_00]: That doesn't mean you're not supposed to do your best to follow God with all your heart and soul.

[SPEAKER_00]: At the same time, if you believe that you're the one who should go up on that cross, you're in Egypt because you can't know it.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's Jesus trying to complete the key without Christ who is the key.

[SPEAKER_00]: You will always be disappointed you will never open the door salvation.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's the key!

[SPEAKER_00]: All the pastor, I've been able to break in, is the folks who are not talking about literal doors.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about the door of salvation heaven.

[SPEAKER_00]: To this day people try to, you know a lot of people won't come to Jesus because they go to false religions who say, oh, but you can do it.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you'll just give this amount of money, we'll get you in heaven.

[SPEAKER_00]: Folks, it's the devil lying to you.

[SPEAKER_00]: All their nice people, folks, you're looking through the wrong eyes.

[SPEAKER_00]: God hates evil.

[SPEAKER_00]: We'll talk more about that not over.

[SPEAKER_00]: God hates evil.

[SPEAKER_00]: everyone is evil in the eyes of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: The only one who is an evil in the eyes of God is Jesus because Jesus is God, we'll get in the more of that then.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'll finish off here.

[SPEAKER_00]: Verse twenty four.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, granted, man, that I am.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is Paul talking.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, granted, man, that I am.

[SPEAKER_00]: I love to call myself a rich.

[SPEAKER_00]: I call myself a rich all the time.

[SPEAKER_00]: I say it to myself constantly.

[SPEAKER_00]: Come on, you, you're old, rich.

[SPEAKER_00]: Get up, you don't be it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Come on, you're rich.

[SPEAKER_00]: I say this all the time.

[SPEAKER_00]: Come on, you're rich.

[SPEAKER_00]: Who said, why do you call yourself a rich?

[SPEAKER_00]: Cause I am.

[SPEAKER_00]: Without him, I can do nothing without him.

[SPEAKER_00]: I surely fail.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, life would be hopeless.

[SPEAKER_00]: But with Jesus, thank God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Thank God, I prevail.

[SPEAKER_00]: I say it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever the thing is, it doesn't matter.

[SPEAKER_00]: The point is, I'm saying only through him, cause without him, I'm a rich.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'm a rich.

[SPEAKER_00]: A rich, I am.

[SPEAKER_00]: Sounds like a weird Dr. Seuss would've done it.

[SPEAKER_00]: But a rich, I am.

[SPEAKER_00]: But it is true.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, Rettie, man, that I am.

[SPEAKER_00]: Verse, twenty-four, chapter seven.

[SPEAKER_00]: Who would that ever mean from the body of this death?

[SPEAKER_00]: Verse, twenty-five.

[SPEAKER_00]: I thank God through Jesus Christ on the Lord so then, with my mind, I serve the law of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: But with my flesh, the law of sin.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, so true.

[SPEAKER_00]: So let's now go on.

[SPEAKER_00]: So the first part we talked about, our evidersy flesh.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now we go to the second part.

[SPEAKER_00]: Hello, I, in the spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: Romans chapter eight.

[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go to Romans chapter eight.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to read all of it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Lord willing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Romans chapter eight.

[SPEAKER_00]: It says this.

[SPEAKER_00]: So it starts off, we just read the last of chapter seven.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now let's go to Romans chapter eight.

[SPEAKER_00]: There is therefore that old one of my favorites.

[SPEAKER_00]: There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now why do I start off like that?

[SPEAKER_00]: First watch out starts.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I wanted to finish the last of chapter seven.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think through Jesus Christ alone, so then with my mind, I served the law of God, but with my flesh, the law of sin, that's not the end.

[SPEAKER_00]: It then goes on the chapter, there is therefore now no combination for those who are in Christ Jesus who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: You are no longer stuck in the flesh, folks.

[SPEAKER_00]: You are now the amen.

[SPEAKER_00]: You now have the spirit, the Holy Spirit to help you.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I am so embarrassed and it's truthful.

[SPEAKER_00]: I sometimes listen to the flesh who allows my temperament to get frustrated and anger.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure I'm not the only one.

[SPEAKER_00]: But folks, I tell you this, not because I feel like I have to admit anything to you.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I tell you this for a reason.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, my mom's so beautiful.

[SPEAKER_00]: She gets frustrated at me.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't blame her.

[SPEAKER_00]: She gets frustrated at me for being so admitted to you.

[SPEAKER_00]: The reason why, because she's trying to protect me, that's beautiful.

[SPEAKER_00]: But the reason why I admit things to you is not because I'm admitting anything.

[SPEAKER_00]: You have already admit to God.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I am telling you certain things so that when you stumble, when you fall, you will think, I wish I was as good as the best or what folks, here's the thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: There is no one who is perfect, but the Savior in that person.

[SPEAKER_00]: Satan tries to trick you in to think that they're better than you.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're not better than you.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's only because the relationship with Christ that anything better can come through them.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm telling you this so that you don't beat yourself up.

[SPEAKER_00]: I tell you those things, not so that you could judge me, but my judge is God.

[SPEAKER_00]: But so that you can get back up again when you fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: I had to be careful not to say too much, because I don't want anyone to think poorly.

[SPEAKER_00]: But at the same time, so that you don't think you're the only one on that road of tripping.

[SPEAKER_00]: So do you remember that?

[SPEAKER_00]: There's there for now now, and listen now, there's there for now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: who walk, not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: So get back up again.

[SPEAKER_00]: People can't condemn you when you say by Jesus, but don't walk according to the flesh.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, people do walk according to flesh sometimes.

[SPEAKER_00]: Don't let that flesh take over you.

[SPEAKER_00]: Walk according to Christ for the law of the Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.

[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to follow that anymore.

[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes people say, I'm only human and I've said it many times.

[SPEAKER_00]: Know you're not, only human.

[SPEAKER_00]: Not anymore.

[SPEAKER_00]: Know you're not only human.

[SPEAKER_00]: I've heard this from the, I'm only human.

[SPEAKER_00]: Know you're not.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're not only human.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're not only human anymore.

[SPEAKER_00]: Christian.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're not only human anymore.

[SPEAKER_00]: You who are saved by the blood of Jesus also have the Holy Spirit living within you.

[SPEAKER_00]: So don't listen to that human side that's lying to you and saying you have no choice.

[SPEAKER_00]: You do have a choice.

[SPEAKER_00]: Right or wrong?

[SPEAKER_00]: Wrong or right?

[SPEAKER_00]: Who are you to say what's right or wrong?

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not the Holy Spirit is or Jesus Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: For what then is a verse three?

[SPEAKER_00]: For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh.

[SPEAKER_00]: God did by sinning His own son and the likeness of sinful flesh.

[SPEAKER_00]: What does it mean the likeness of sinful flesh?

[SPEAKER_00]: A human, human, he never sinned, but he could have.

[SPEAKER_00]: I've had people say no he couldn't have, he was God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but he still was a human.

[SPEAKER_00]: He could have sinned when he was tempted.

[SPEAKER_00]: Otherwise what would have been the point?

[SPEAKER_00]: What would it be the point?

[SPEAKER_00]: I've had people say he was too perfect to sit.

[SPEAKER_00]: He really kind of getting lost in this semantics.

[SPEAKER_00]: He was still a human.

[SPEAKER_00]: Otherwise he wouldn't have been tempted at all.

[SPEAKER_00]: He wouldn't even gone through the temptation.

[SPEAKER_00]: If he couldn't have, he had the ability.

[SPEAKER_00]: He had the ability.

[SPEAKER_00]: to sin.

[SPEAKER_00]: Otherwise, he wouldn't ever have that temptation in front of him.

[SPEAKER_00]: But he didn't, because he wasn't born into sin, like we are, because not having an earthly thought we won't get in.

[SPEAKER_00]: We'll talk about that closer to Christmas.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry, you know, anyway.

[SPEAKER_00]: God did not did by sin and his son in the likeness of the sinful flesh and the concerning sin.

[SPEAKER_00]: He condemned sin in the flesh, verse four, in order that the righteousness requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit, where to walk by the Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: and it's a difficult wrestling match sometimes.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're not referred to wrestling a lot, is it because you're wrestling for any answer, but it's true.

[SPEAKER_00]: We wrestle with ourselves continuously.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's an everyday thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so.

[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, I'd say it's hourly sometimes.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I'm wrong.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe the Hulk Hogan type in me goes against the honor of the giant in me all the time.

[SPEAKER_00]: And the Lord Jesus Christ threw me the Holy Spirit has to pick up the giant and throw it down and say, brother, no, but seriously has to get rid of it.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know what?

[SPEAKER_00]: Because I know that that old self wants to come back.

[SPEAKER_00]: And the new self, which is the Spirit has to say, get the behind me, Satan.

[SPEAKER_00]: Get out of here.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, we gotta get, we gotta keep going.

[SPEAKER_00]: Gotta keep going.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it says in verse five, for those who live according to the flesh, set their minds of the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, this is talking to Christians.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not talking to the world.

[SPEAKER_00]: Talking to Christians in those case, for the most part.

[SPEAKER_00]: But those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit, why?

[SPEAKER_00]: Because the lost cannot live by the Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: They can't.

[SPEAKER_00]: to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

[SPEAKER_00]: But the carnal mind is hostile toward God.

[SPEAKER_00]: For it is not subject to the law of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: For indeed, nor indeed, can it be.

[SPEAKER_00]: But those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Folks, when people say, God loves us, no matter what, yes, that's true, but he hates evil.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he hates when you do evil, doesn't mean he hates you, but he hates what you're doing.

[SPEAKER_00]: A real dad always loves your kids.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, he loves your kids.

[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't love what they're doing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, I had an amazing father.

[SPEAKER_00]: I loved him dearly.

[SPEAKER_00]: But folks, my dad's eyes bulged when he was irritated us.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it scared me.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because I knew that my dad had a belt.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it wasn't a belt of hatred.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was a belt of love.

[SPEAKER_00]: But he somehow hated what we did.

[SPEAKER_00]: And there are times

[SPEAKER_00]: There are times what I was scared of my father.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why?

[SPEAKER_00]: Because my father was the law of the house.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why?

[SPEAKER_00]: Because my father followed God.

[SPEAKER_00]: And there were times when my father tells us not to do something.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to embarrass my brother.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I will.

[SPEAKER_00]: There was a time my father told my brother not to get back on that skateboard.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he did it anyway.

[SPEAKER_00]: He said, just one more time.

[SPEAKER_00]: And when he got on that skateboard just one more time, there the brand new dining room window was gone.

[SPEAKER_00]: I use that as an example a lot because that's what we do so often to our father.

[SPEAKER_00]: My father barely turned back in the house to go pick up the phone, which is a church member.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he said, well, like I go get on him and go get my son.

[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen you the moment he heard it.

[SPEAKER_00]: And my brother Matthew and I was like, oh, no, no, no, no, no, no.

[SPEAKER_00]: We all have said he wouldn't listen.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what happened.

[SPEAKER_00]: And all we thought the world was coming to the end.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that does happen in our lives sometimes.

[SPEAKER_00]: We don't listen to God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Stuff comes to an end, it feels like it's not coming to an end.

[SPEAKER_00]: The father and Lord is trying to put things in order first because we didn't listen.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that happens.

[SPEAKER_00]: That happens.

[SPEAKER_00]: For those who live according to the flesh, set their minds of the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit, to be carnal, you mind it is death, but the Spirit, spiritually mind it is life and peace.

[SPEAKER_00]: For the carnal mind is hostile towards God, for it is not sent to the law of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Nor indeed can it be.

[SPEAKER_00]: And those who are in the flesh cannot, please God, you, however, verse nine, you, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: If indeed the Spirit of God lives in you.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if any man does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to him.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, listen folks, I've heard so many times you would say, the lost people listen to the Holy Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: No one can't.

[SPEAKER_00]: They can't.

[SPEAKER_00]: That'd be like saying that, in by the way, I'm not picking on anyone who does it.

[SPEAKER_00]: That'd be like saying someone who doesn't have a hand can pick something up.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm talking about without a prosthetic.

[SPEAKER_00]: Someone who doesn't have a hand can't pick something up because they don't have a hand.

[SPEAKER_00]: Someone who doesn't have the Holy Spirit can't listen to the Holy Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're not saying you don't have the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is God.

[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, God loves all of us.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we know that.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's why he died for us, but they don't own and by own, I don't mean

[SPEAKER_00]: pertain to them.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, they don't have him in them.

[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have the Holy Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: They cannot hear it.

[SPEAKER_00]: The only way that they can hear the Holy Spirit is they listen when it's saying, come to know Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: Amen.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, we have to understand when you hear the world say that, that makes sense to them, a loving God, a kind God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Then he love everyone, of course.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're not using the wisdom of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: They can't understand it.

[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have the eyesight of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'd be like me trying to see you right now.

[SPEAKER_00]: You all look blurry.

[SPEAKER_00]: You all look pretty.

[SPEAKER_00]: You all look blurry.

[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty blurry.

[SPEAKER_00]: But when you have vision come into the vision of the Holy Spirit, the Lord, everything makes much more sense.

[SPEAKER_00]: It comes into.

[SPEAKER_00]: Verse ten.

[SPEAKER_00]: And if Christ is in you through the body,

[SPEAKER_00]: Excuse me, though the body is dead because of sin.

[SPEAKER_00]: The spirit is alive because of righteousness, but the spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you.

[SPEAKER_00]: He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal body through his spirit that lives in you.

[SPEAKER_00]: Therefore, brothers, we are deaders not to the flesh.

[SPEAKER_00]: Listen now.

[SPEAKER_00]: We are deaders not of the flesh or to the flesh.

[SPEAKER_00]: to live according to the flesh, verse thirteen, for if we if you live according to the flesh, you will die are we talking spiritually?

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yes, you know, you're not gonna go to hell, but you're not gonna live a life of Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: You will die, but if through the Spirit, you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

[SPEAKER_00]: For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: For you have not received the Spirit of salvation, excuse me, for you have not received the Spirit of slavery again to fear.

[SPEAKER_00]: But you have received the Spirit of adoption, I love this part, by whom we cry, Abba, Father.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirits that we are the two to know God.

[SPEAKER_00]: And if the two to know the airs of God, join airs with Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: If indeed we suffer with Him, excuse me, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorify with Him.

[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes suffering with Jesus in this world, you'll be mocked to be made fun of.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I want you to remember, it's not really you, it's Jesus, who suffers.

[SPEAKER_00]: For a sixteen, for I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us.

[SPEAKER_00]: The eager expectation of the creation waits for the appearance of the sons of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly.

[SPEAKER_00]: but by the will of him who subjected it in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from a slavery to corruption and to the glorious freedom of the children of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: We know that the whole creation groans and prevails in pain together until now.

[SPEAKER_00]: Not only that, but we also who have first fruits of the spirit grown within ourselves while eagerly waiting for adoption the redemption of our bodies for we are saved through hope

[SPEAKER_00]: But hope that is seen is not hope.

[SPEAKER_00]: For why is a man still hope for what he sees?

[SPEAKER_00]: But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.

[SPEAKER_00]: Likewise, the spirit helps us in our weaknesses.

[SPEAKER_00]: For we do not know what to pray for as we ought.

[SPEAKER_00]: But the spirit, himself, intercedes for us with broenings, too deep for words, he who searches for the hearts,

[SPEAKER_00]: knows what the mind of the Spirit is because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God to those who are called according to His purposes.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, let's stop for a second.

[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of times people will hear that and they'll say, see, the good of God always works out for us.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's how it says.

[SPEAKER_00]: It says, the good of God works out to those who work according to His purposes who follow God.

[SPEAKER_00]: The good doesn't always work out to those people who know him, it's only those who are following his word.

[SPEAKER_00]: We know the all things work together for the good of those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

[SPEAKER_00]: For those, there's verse twenty nine for those.

[SPEAKER_00]: whom he for new, I want to listen to that loud one to tell you about this, for those who he for new, he predestined to be conformed to the image of his son so that he might be the first born among many brothers.

[SPEAKER_00]: And those whom he predestined, he also called, and those whom he called, he also justified, and those whom he justified, he also glorified.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, some people will take this to say,

[SPEAKER_00]: God chose for them to be saved, and there's others he chose not to be saved.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's not what he's saying.

[SPEAKER_00]: He died for all to be saved by the glory of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: All of us.

[SPEAKER_00]: In other words, if you weren't going to the predestination stuff, you could say he predestined for all of us to be saved, but he also gave us free will.

[SPEAKER_00]: If a person chose

[SPEAKER_00]: Not to be saved.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're not going to be saved.

[SPEAKER_00]: Not because God doesn't love them.

[SPEAKER_00]: When he died, he died for all to be saved.

[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't say, I love Philip more than I love this person who's out on the street corner.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, God came and lived and died for all people.

[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't love me more than he loves you.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is to start true.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not true.

[SPEAKER_00]: That would be not only evil.

[SPEAKER_00]: My God is not evil.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Lord Jesus Christ is not evil.

[SPEAKER_00]: He knows your future.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, right now, I have an uncle who made some choices in life because we all have him.

[SPEAKER_00]: And his body is failing him because of some of them.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to say much about that, except to say this.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can't say God loves you better than you, he loves him.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's not that.

[SPEAKER_00]: God loves him, just as much as me.

[SPEAKER_00]: He died in the cross for him, just like he did me.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I also have made choices, some that are bad, some that are good, just like you.

[SPEAKER_00]: That being said, that doesn't mean that God made my body better than someone else's.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, obviously, that's not the case, but I'll tell you this.

[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't make my hairline worse than you, and I won't maybe.

[SPEAKER_00]: But here's the thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: God loves us all equally, just because we're different, doesn't make us that we're better off or worse off than others.

[SPEAKER_00]: He gave us different choices, but we have to make those choices.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now this is one of my favorite statements in this book, verse thirty one, the level God.

[SPEAKER_00]: What they're shall we say to these things, if God is for us, who can be against us?

[SPEAKER_00]: He who did not spare his own son, but delivered him up for us all.

[SPEAKER_00]: How shall we, excuse me, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

[SPEAKER_00]: Not shall be, excuse me.

[SPEAKER_00]: Who shall bring a charge against God's elect?

[SPEAKER_00]: It is God who justifies He, who is, excuse me, who is He who condemns?

[SPEAKER_00]: It is Christ who died, yes.

[SPEAKER_00]: who is risen, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us, who shall separate us from the love of Christ shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword as it is written for your sake, we are killed all day long, we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, I love this.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is one of my favorite verses of all time.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's like the song I always sing.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, and all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved this.

[SPEAKER_00]: For I have persuaded that neither death nor life neither angels nor priests, principalities nor powers, neither things present, nor things to come, neither hyeth nor death.

[SPEAKER_00]: nor any other created things shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

[SPEAKER_00]: Amen.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we've now gone through those two chapters and we're running out of time, but I'm going to try my best to finish this.

[SPEAKER_00]: It says in chapter nine, it talks about Israel.

[SPEAKER_00]: What about Israel?

[SPEAKER_00]: Does God love the Jewish who have not chosen God?

[SPEAKER_00]: Or does it says this?

[SPEAKER_00]: In chapter nine verse one of two, I am speaking the truth in Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: I am not lying.

[SPEAKER_00]: My conscience testifies to me in the Holy Spirit that I have great sorrow and continual anguish in my heart that Paul is speaking about Judaism.

[SPEAKER_00]: He is saying,

[SPEAKER_00]: anguish in his heart about those nine seven Jesus as the Messiah and he goes to speak on more about this in chapter ten he speaks a salvation for all who have asked for the newness both between the Jews and the Gentile Gentile people who are not Hebrews that's all and he speaks about that he goes on to say he has good news this salvation to all who will receive and I'm not going to go to all that you know about it he talks about this then he goes to speak in chapter eleven

[SPEAKER_00]: He speaks about the partial.

[SPEAKER_00]: He says that there are people who will come to know that there is no partiality that God loves him.

[SPEAKER_00]: And in chapter eleven, he speaks about, for the Gentiles say, God allowed, he allowed that he didn't tell the Jews to do this, but he allowed the Gentiles to have an ability to come to know the Lord Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because if I hadn't been for this, the Gentiles may not have received the Lord Jesus like they did.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I want you to understand this about Paul.

[SPEAKER_00]: Paul hated the Gentiles with all his heart and soul hated them.

[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, not Paul, but Saul.

[SPEAKER_00]: Saul of Tarsis.

[SPEAKER_00]: He hated him so much.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he hated their guts and liver.

[SPEAKER_00]: When Saul did not know Jesus as his Lord Savior, he hated the Gentiles.

[SPEAKER_00]: He was a Jewish man, a Hebrew.

[SPEAKER_00]: He was an Israelite who learned all about the Jewish faith about Judaism.

[SPEAKER_00]: He knew it, forwarded backwards, bettering the back of his hand.

[SPEAKER_00]: and he hated the Gentiles when he hated Christians.

[SPEAKER_00]: When he comes to know Jesus, and by the way, Jesus is already dead, but risen again.

[SPEAKER_00]: And when he was on the road to Damascus, he was down on the road as a haddy and gave him a hallmark card.

[SPEAKER_00]: He was on the road to give them death, persecution, and send them to the grave.

[SPEAKER_00]: But all there can Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: and Jesus knocked him off his horse.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't mean Jesus went knocked him off the horse, but Jesus spoke to him and he fell off.

[SPEAKER_00]: And the other soldiers that were with him heard, they didn't see Jesus, but they heard him.

[SPEAKER_00]: They knew he was there.

[SPEAKER_00]: And Paul was blinded, excuse me, Saul was blinded.

[SPEAKER_00]: But then he asked Jesus in his heart and he had sight again.

[SPEAKER_00]: I dare say that Saul who thought he was wise knew nothing, but when he became Paul,

[SPEAKER_00]: It changed his name because people knew him to be a horrible man.

[SPEAKER_00]: It changed his name because he wasn't a new man.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he then went around speaking the truth.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he who hated Gentiles thought he was better than all of them.

[SPEAKER_00]: He was completely changed.

[SPEAKER_00]: And God used him to go and speak to the Gentiles.

[SPEAKER_00]: Him to change the world.

[SPEAKER_00]: Was it really Paul?

[SPEAKER_00]: It was Jesus' true Paul.

[SPEAKER_00]: You see how God could change everyone.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it speaks about that in chapter nine, ten and eleven.

[SPEAKER_00]: How everyone can be changed.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then there's chapter twelve.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to try real hard to go through it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that I can, but I'll try.

[SPEAKER_00]: Chapter twelve.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now I just told you, he wants out of himself better than every one else.

[SPEAKER_00]: For just as we in the verse four, for just as we have many parts in one body and now all parts have the same function.

[SPEAKER_00]: We have diverse gifts, according to the grace that is given to us.

[SPEAKER_00]: And prophecy, according to Prophecyation of Faith in service and serving, He who teaches in teaching, He who exhorts in his rotation, He who gives in generosity, He who rules with diligence, He who shows mercy with cheerfulness.

[SPEAKER_00]: and then he talks about the rulers, excuse me, the rules of Christian life, and I love this.

[SPEAKER_00]: First nine, let love be without hypocrisy, hate what is evil, leave to what is good, be devoted to one another with brotherly love, prefer one another in honor.

[SPEAKER_00]: Do not be lazy in diligence, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord, rejoice in hope, be patient, suffering,

[SPEAKER_00]: Persevere, impure.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's important.

[SPEAKER_00]: Persevere, impure.

[SPEAKER_00]: Contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality.

[SPEAKER_00]: So for the one who has faith to eat all things, but he who is weak, it's only vegetables.

[SPEAKER_00]: Don't argue with your vegetarian son and all.

[SPEAKER_00]: Don't argue with a Christian who says, God doesn't want us to eat anything but spinach.

[SPEAKER_00]: All right, Popeye.

[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Popeye thinks that's what's right.

[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: You don't argue with them.

[SPEAKER_00]: If that's what he believes because he's young in his spirit, don't argue about it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe someone thinks anyone who's had a tattoo can ever say, okay, that's not true.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's not true.

[SPEAKER_00]: But maybe there's people who believe that it's okay to get tattoos after you say, well, technically there's nothing wrong with that.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if it's the greatest testimony, but I'm not going to say anything about that.

[SPEAKER_00]: The point is that we're not to condemn, we're not to come on that, we're not to be hateful of me, we're to show the love of Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: Are we be great witnesses?

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, but in all things, we're all different people and we have different backgrounds.

[SPEAKER_00]: We have different beginnings and we need to let Jesus be seen, not your opinion, but the facts of the Lord God and his love and his word.

[SPEAKER_00]: So for one has faith, three of all the illnesses go back to that.

[SPEAKER_00]: For one has faith, the first two.

[SPEAKER_00]: To eat all things, be he who is weak, it's only vegetables.

[SPEAKER_00]: Verse three, do not let him, who eats despise him, who does not eat.

[SPEAKER_00]: And do not let him, who does not eat judge him, who eats.

[SPEAKER_00]: For God has welcomed him.

[SPEAKER_00]: Who are you to judge another man's servant?

[SPEAKER_00]: To his own master, he stands,

[SPEAKER_00]: or false, and he will stand for God is able to make no stand.

[SPEAKER_00]: One man judges, one day above another, another judges every day like, let each one be fully persuaded by his own mind.

[SPEAKER_00]: I could go on, but I won't.

[SPEAKER_00]: My point is this, everyone's a little different.

[SPEAKER_00]: Some people believe that just plus a dress a certain way, some don't.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, when I was very young, I was told that a real man of God goes in on Sundays dressed with button-up shirts and ties, so you're to give your best to God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm not insulting anyone who doesn't, by the way.

[SPEAKER_00]: You should, but no joke.

[SPEAKER_00]: The point is that

[SPEAKER_00]: Dress the way you feel in your heart that God has done in your dress.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if someone came in here and they were wearing a take-top shirt, with by the way, I'm always wearing a take-top under here, and not that you know that, and now that you can see that.

[SPEAKER_00]: But if you, if you was wearing a take-top shirt when you walked in here that said, a vile curse word towards Jesus, I would ask them to put on some different art have some form to wear.

[SPEAKER_00]: Not because of a shirt, but because of an attitude towards it.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's the difference.

[SPEAKER_00]: The difference is not what you're wearing on the outside, but what you're wearing on the inside.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's what Jesus is saying, folks.

[SPEAKER_00]: All right.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to respect and build up our brother's history to Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: Not to judge and get them purposely to hurt.

[SPEAKER_00]: And we are to allow the gospel of morals, the salvation be the same to respect towards the young Christian, or to pray for them, that the Holy Spirit will lead them to God.

[SPEAKER_00]: And us, and us.

[SPEAKER_00]: Romans chapter, fifteen tells us,

[SPEAKER_00]: I will free that.

[SPEAKER_00]: Romans chapter sixteen verse one three six.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know I know we're going over.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I want to finish this up right.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to go through another week for this.

[SPEAKER_00]: We are as verse fifteen one three six.

[SPEAKER_00]: We are strong.

[SPEAKER_00]: We who are strong ought to bear the weakness of the weak and not please ourselves.

[SPEAKER_00]: This goes on with what I was just talking about.

[SPEAKER_00]: We who are strong ought to bear the weakness of the weak and not please ourselves.

[SPEAKER_00]: Let each of us please His neighbor for His good, leading to edification for even Christ and not please Himself.

[SPEAKER_00]: But as it is written, the insults of those who insults you fell on me.

[SPEAKER_00]: For whatever was previously written, was written for our instruction so that through perseverance and encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now may the God of perseverance and encouragement grant you to live and harmony with one another in accordance with Christ Jesus so that together you may, with one voice, glorify the God of Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: But what does he say in chapter sixteen, his final chapter?

[SPEAKER_00]: His final chapter goes on to say, goodbye of Revederci, just fellow Christians in Rome, a Revederci Roman.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he does go on to Roman and cover them places and that's where Paul dies.

[SPEAKER_00]: But before he does that, he says in Romans, sixteen, twenty, first of all, Romans, fifteen, thirteen.

[SPEAKER_00]: He said, now I'm

[SPEAKER_00]: God of hope filled you with all joy and peace in believing so that you may abound and hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: And He says in Romans, sixteen twenty-four, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all, amen.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now today, as we're finishing in the book of Romans, in the book of Romans, we're going to say goodbye to Rome.

[SPEAKER_00]: Just for now, that doesn't mean we're not going to quote it.

[SPEAKER_00]: We know, you know, we quote it a lot.

[SPEAKER_00]: But it was saying goodbye to Rome, goodbye to Romans, skin, or worldly flesh.

[SPEAKER_00]: Hello, Holy Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I will quote a couple verses as we finish here.

[SPEAKER_00]: Romans eight one, there's therefore now no condemnation for those who were in Christ Jesus who walked not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's the beginning of that wonderful chapter and Romans eight thirty seven because this is what I want you to take with you today these verses Romans eight one as I just said it Romans eight thirty seven no and all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us

[SPEAKER_00]: Romans twelve two do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is good and acceptable and perfect and the perfect will of God Romans twelve twenty one do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good and one last Romans thirteen eight through ten oh no one anything except to love one another

[SPEAKER_00]: for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.

[SPEAKER_00]: For the commandments, you shall not commit adultery.

[SPEAKER_00]: You shall not murder.

[SPEAKER_00]: You shall not steal.

[SPEAKER_00]: You shall not give false testimony which means do not lie.

[SPEAKER_00]: You shall not covet.

[SPEAKER_00]: And therefore, any other commandments are summed up in this, say, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.

[SPEAKER_00]: Love works no evil to a neighbor.

[SPEAKER_00]: Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law.

[SPEAKER_00]: And as we leave here today, and we say a reverendure to you, Roma, we say hello to the Holy Spirit, to lead us in guidance.

[SPEAKER_00]: And though I've talked about Rome, I'm not talking about the little Rome.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking about the world around us, wherever you're at.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you're at work, remember, don't be overcome by the flesh at work.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you're with your family, remember, don't be overcome by the flesh of your family.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you're with your friends, remember not to be overcome by the flesh with your friends.

[SPEAKER_00]: These temptations are always there.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you're watching television, remember the temptation is there.

[SPEAKER_00]: Watching the news, remember the temptation is there.

[SPEAKER_00]: Say goodbye to those things of the flesh.

[SPEAKER_00]: Arrived, Archie.

[SPEAKER_00]: Guide me Lord God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Speak through me.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I finish by reading this wonderful verse of Romans,

[SPEAKER_00]: The God of Peace will soon press Satan under your feet to grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's bound prayer.

[SPEAKER_00]: Lord Jesus, we thank you that you're with us now.

[SPEAKER_00]: Lord, we pray for all those who are suffering today.

[SPEAKER_00]: We pray in Lord God that you're will be done in our lives.

[SPEAKER_00]: We pray in Lord Jesus for you to guide us through your word, that you Lord God

[SPEAKER_00]: We'll speak to us and through us every single day.

[SPEAKER_00]: And as we wrestle with the flesh, I pray the spirit wins out, and that we allow it.

[SPEAKER_00]: And more importantly, that you will be done not ours.
