[SPEAKER_00]: Let's all now turn to the book of second Timothy chapter two, it's just good book.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Second Timothy chapter two verses three through four.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And once you get to second Timothy chapter two verses three through four, as you can please stand on the reading of God's word.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I want to say if we read for all those who are going through difficulties, there's a man who can't be here because of hard times difficulties.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Some may be ticker for the sake of their family, they can't be here because their family is going through surgeries and other things and they're not allowed to be around folks.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We need to pray for them because it seems like they're going through such difficulties, not just them, but everybody.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Those who are hard times difficulties and you understand why, but just remember, the Lord does know and he's with you through those times.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So it says a second Timothy chapter two, three, three, four, endure hard times as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No soldier on active duty in tangles himself with civilian affairs that he may please, let me say again, that he may please the enlisting officer.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God bless and honor the reading of this word, and you may be seated.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Earlier this year, in fact it was Memorial Day weekend,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: uh... we had a sermon that was called uh... remember the same did soldiers or we talked about that then and they're that time we talked about all these different patriotic holidays and things and one of them that we talked about was better in stay and that is the 11th of November this year uh... the 11th of November
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The interesting is, it is the 11th of November of 1919 that it was recognized that they very end award war won, with they used to call the Great War, the Great War because of not because it's awesome, but because it was of great power, and the thought was on going to be won, or war at the time, of course, they didn't realize that it would come back again just the decade or so later, a couple decades later, but they didn't realize that, that being said,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It was Veterans Day, originally known as Armistice, Armistice Day that was November, 11, 19, 19, and what a day it is.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So day to honor those who served, now a lot of time Memorial Day.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: People.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: honor all those who served and that's okay.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Some people get really weird about it in the sense that when they see people honoring it's supposed to be to honor those who died for our country Memorial Day.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But many times people just honor everyone who's passed away or honor anyone who served.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes people get weird about it in the sense that if you do it incorrectly meaning the way it originally was like you're next.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: it wrong.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're like a hush.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He has to be glad that they're remembering the soldiers at all because there are some people in this world who don't honor the soldiers and they don't honor the dead either.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So it'll be glad that they had that way about them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: However, today we're going to talk about something else, and that is the acronym POW.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like to call this a kid.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: POW, because you read in common books, which I love to do.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Reading common books, they used to always do that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have POW when they punch and POWED.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That was the only one that they would do.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But you, wham, that's another one.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Wham, Capali, all these weird things.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But either way, POW was a, it was a for a popular one.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: that being said, how is acronym for Prisoner of War?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You may wonder, when did that start?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they started using it in 1660s around the time in civil war.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So about the 1660s, but it didn't become common use into common use, and they usual use until right after World War II.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, when I think about Ward Ward 2 and I think about the people that were taking captive, I want to kind of think about a true story that we know is the greatest scape, even though in reality is a great film, by the way, it's not 100% historic, the accurate.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: In reality, the American soldiers were let loose before that greatest scape, the American soldiers were, but happy to have a movie, Lestim McQueen is the main guy with that showing him a scape on that motorcycle.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Puffuffoon technically that was his friend, not him on the motorcycle.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll get in all that later.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: these people were taking prisoner orders a lot of people who have been in Vietnam there are a lot of POWs people taking prisoners of war and so many times the prisoners of war are taking captive and they are treated so horribly they're supposed to be a thing in which we treat people who are
-
[SPEAKER_00]: with a little bit of honor and respect, but that doesn't always happen.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But there are prisoners of war today.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: A title-taste sermon is POW, Prisoner of War.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There are prisons of war and a spiritual war too.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There are many Christians who start off as soldiers and then they quit serving.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They're taking captive.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They're taking its prisoners into the world.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They maybe they backslide every soldier does that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe they get lazy in their service.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Every soldier does them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: How about soldiers of Christ now?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Every soldier does it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They take it easy one day, maybe two, maybe three.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Next thing you know, and not in shape like he wants for.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You have to force yourself to keep on serving.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's difficult.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: First of all, let's start.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about this very fact that I've said before and I'll say it a hundred times sense.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And that is every Christian, every person who has called out to Jesus and asked them to save them of their sins for all their sin and follow the Lord God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Romans 3, 23, all of us are sinners, all of us are bound for hell.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But when we call out to Jesus, we become saved by the grace of Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And every Christian is a saint.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I know what we think of as saint.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And we think, I know a lot of Christians who aren't saints.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you're wrong.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We think of saints being perfect.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The perfect one is Jesus Christ Himself.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And you may not think you're a saint, but you are a saint according to the Word of God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Before the Word of Christ,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: was ever existed in existence.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, first time they used work Christian, it was a slur.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It was a slur to put someone down and make him feel bad.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But you know what's so great about being saved by the grace of Jesus Christ, you say, you're trying to make fun of me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I take the word Christ, and I think it's great.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So they took the word Christian.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, yeah, I am a Christian.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I am a Christ, I like it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And so they used that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: See, that's the great thing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: News to Christian was a bad word.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now it's a good word.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I like being a Christian.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: People still try to make you feel bad for being a Christian.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Call me all you want, I'll take more, you know what?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because Jesus Christ is something to be proud of, to wear it on your sleeves, to wear it around, feel good.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyone ever seen Tommy Boy and you wear it back guy in a little, oh, this guy I feel about people who started to put me down, call me Christian, that's right.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a big guy wearing Christ all around, you never gonna make me ashamed.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna be that big guy wearing Christ all around me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not gonna rip it though, but here's the thing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We should always be proud to wear Christ around us always.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Amen.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Amen.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Every Christian of the St. in every Christian is a soldier.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're either active or inactive, but you're a soldier in Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're to put on the robe.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're to put on the armor.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Galatians, well, I'm all worked up.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Galatians, chapter 3, verse 27.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Galatians chapter 3 verse 27.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I repeat myself because I want you to mark it down.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Galatians chapter 3 verse 27, for as many of you as have been baptized into Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Listen to this now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll say it again.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ, in other words, have been saved, have put on Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Wear him, proudly wear him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I want to see happen?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm seeing people do it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They proudly put on Christ when they go to church.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's time to go to work.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh-oh, I don't want to fin, take Christ off, put them in their little bag, there's you and bag or whatever, and just dress like a regular folk.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I don't want to fin.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Folks, I'm not asking to go out there, dress like a preacher, and go, Jesus is the only way you're going to hell, you're going to hell, and you're going to hell, and you're going to hell, and all y'all are going to hell, no.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: a big of Christ, put Christ on, let people see Him in you so they can come to you and when they ask you, first of all, speak true, speak just so that when they come to you, they'll know that Jesus is in you and on you and you walk with Christ, don't let it be a word road that you take on and off, don't be ashamed of Jesus, don't make him be ashamed of you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: where to wear the armor of God every day.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I love it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Ephesians chapter 6, 10 through 18.
Ephesians 6 chapter mention
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Ephesians chapter 6, 10 through 18, market, have it on your Bible and then your conscience and in your soul constantly market.
Ephesians 6 chapter mention
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Ephesians 6, 8, excuse me, Ephesians 6, 10 through 18.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He says, finally my brothers, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might, put on the whole of our God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And don't you know He's scheming against you right now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He's looking at your weaknesses.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you have pride issues.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you're too proud.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you're not proud enough.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you have problems that think, I'm nothing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, listen, God loved you enough to die for you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're not nothing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're something.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're something that for him to get on the cross for and to rise up for.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Either way, it says, put on the hole on our God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: For our fight is not against flesh and blood, and I want you to remember that too.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: when you go to work, when you talk your brothers or sisters, when you talk, I'm talking about your family now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They're not your enemy.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The devil is the enemy, who tries to work through them, and they don't even know it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not against flesh and blood, but against principal principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil, and in the heavenly places,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Therefore, here we go.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Verse 13, therefore, take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand to be able to, excuse me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So you may be able to resist in the evil day and having done all to stand.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Stay in there for having your waist girded with truth and having put on the breast plate of righteousness, having your feet fitted with the readiness of gospel and peace.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the fiery arrows of the evil one.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't you know he's coming after you with arrows.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He might take
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that one didn't get him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll try and everyone.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll try to arrow a pride.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That one didn't work.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll try another one.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And arrow a green boom.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll try, beginning to get different arrows.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You may have to take up that shield.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You may have to take up that shield.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So, breastplate of righteousness.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Fitted with the gospel of peace, you have to faith, you have to faith.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You'll be able to distinguish all the fiery arrows
-
[SPEAKER_00]: and take the Helmet Verse 17, take the Helmet of Salvation, protect that brand of yours, protect that beautiful Christian noggin, make sure your head is protected, because the devil tries to get you a play mind games with you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't you know that?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He tries to play mind games.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't always tell those people to say, if you are really of love, you are a barber, a barber, a barber.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, listen to the Lord God, who is love, listen to Him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They don't know.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He does.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Take the hell of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Pray in the Spirit all ways with all kinds of prayer and supplication to that end be alert with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints, pray for your brother's sister to pray.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's constantly
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the thing about it is I've said it before and I'll say it again, it is the word of God that is all your armor, keep yourself protected because if you're not protected all of the devil will get you, you know, as my uncle Russell used to say, if you let him, say it will eat your lunch and he will too, he'll take it all.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The moment you became a Christian, and he's the truth, the moment you became a Christian, you enlisted into the army of God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You enlisted.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Pastor, I didn't want that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't want to list.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I just want a salvation.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I understand.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I just wanted it easy.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to sit back, eat some Twinkies and some whole holes and have a good time.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I understand that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I was emitory too.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Are you calling me emitory?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's when you in the Lord.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I will tell you this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I was.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I just want, I didn't want to go to hell.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, I think every single person who's come to
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now they may not have been seven years old like I was, but they did the same thing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if anyone who said, oh, I want to go to hell and suffer for eternity.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that sounds like so much fun.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if anyone who's ever done that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no one, is ever done that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But we become a part of the Army, I've got we in list.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But here's the problem.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The many people stay infants and they never serve or some have, but then in the middle of serving they disappear.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They're taking captive, they go POW.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Become prisoners of war, like we talked about while ago.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They become that, but we don't need to stay there.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We need to pray for those who have.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And if you feel right now that you're a prisoner of war, that you're wrestling against the flesh, this is the moment where that can change.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You can get back up again, calling the God, reassign, though, I'm not calling out being saved again, or maybe you feel like you've never been saved.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I can change it, hey, you can come forward today at the end of the service.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And as she's the savior soul, but you can call it right now to him, help me Lord.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't feel like I've been serving you appropriately.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like I've put other things before you and I've not been a good, active, worthy soldier.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what's upon a time, I remember this from an old movie, maybe you remember it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You all remember when they had to brood in the gray on TV, way back in like 1980, you probably don't get like, oh, you're old, well, yeah, maybe.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But I remember that when somebody ran,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: and they walked away from the soldier and we'll say, from their army, you know what they did?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They marked them with a branding iron.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They put like an X or something on their face and it kept them remembered forever as a coward.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They were known as a coward running away from their army.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I was only four years old, and I remember that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because it really left a mark on me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And remember that's what happened when you used a coward, you had a mark of a coward.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, here's the thing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: If you are a soldier of God in your walk away right now, there might be some Christians who are wrongfully telling you, you're a coward and God will never forgive you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a lie.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God loves you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He's hard for giving you all your sins.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But today you can get back into the army.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're never really left it, but you've been a POW.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Get back in that army and serve joyfully served.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, what it says in Galatians 327, once again, for as many of you as have been baptized in the Christ have put on Christ, keep them on.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Put them back on again for the whole world to see.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, what it says in James chapter 2, verse 18, James chapter 2, 18.
James 2:18 James 2 chapter mention
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But a man may say, you have faith, and I have works.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Show me your faith without works.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll say it again.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Show me your faith without your works.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I will show you my faith by my works.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now folks, this is not saying it's by your works that you're saved.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's saying that when you're saved, your works should be obvious.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So you get all your little, what am I trying to say?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You little metals on you?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, a lot of soldiers get patches and little metals and things.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You get rewarded for what they did.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You too, soldier.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You go from being a private first class and all these things.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because God is rewarding you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So you'd be proud?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But have self respect and to grow as a Christian.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So you can mean others to Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know a soldier one who has run away from the army of people say,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: crowds sold your runaway don't you think we should just be so proud of them for being a coward I don't know a soldier once you said we said there you want to said we should be like yeah have about one who's been in the christian army for 37 years and not done a dull don't thank for Jesus they just sit in the back of the pew suck their thumb and say well God loves me anyway never done a darn thing for the Lord not a thing not a thing
-
[SPEAKER_00]: and people say, oh, I want to be like that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, folks, you should want to be like that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You should want to be serving God, be on the front line.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, yeah, you might get hurt.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, your feelings are definitely going to get hurt.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you might get mocked.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You might get me, I know you will, but guess what?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Do it all for Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Do it all for Jesus, Hebrews 412.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Hebrews 412.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I remember this was through the Hebrews.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: For the word of God is alive and active and sharper than any, I'll say again, Hebrews 412.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: For the word of God is alive and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even through the divisions of the soul of spirit of joins, and moral, and able to judge the thoughts and intense of the heart.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: your sword is the Word of God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's able to judge and know what's right, what's wrong, tell you guys stay in the Word all the time.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I had to force myself sometimes, and I'm so tired, I don't wanna read.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: If they come on now, you're gonna read, you know what?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But I pick up the Word of God, the sword, and I start.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: practicing with that, you know what's amazing?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: All that pain goes away for when I start feeling alive.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Start feeling thriving and electricity through me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Has it my power?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The Holy Spirit.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I've been going to the gym again.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: In the morning coming, I'm like shut up alarm clock, shut up, get out of here, but you know what's funny?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I force myself to get up and go, and once I get going, and once I get the kick-to-hand, the electricity is going through me, and I start feeling a good again, and I'm going with the music folks.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same way with serendee, it's an exercise in the power of Jesus through me, and the Holy Spirit through me and before too long it's hard to stop.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Is there ever started reading a Bible you don't want to people say, I don't, I'm not going to make that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That makes us like a bad person.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it makes us like a person.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Like a human being.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's okay to be human.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I don't want to hear.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm kidding.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But it's okay to be human being.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But guess what?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Then you get to go in, and the power is going in.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, oh, I'm just going to read 10 minutes.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You look at set of it in an hour.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And you're like, what?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: An hour?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We're already?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard to believe.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The whole spirit takes over.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And everything's flowing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I love it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I love the Lord.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Second Timothy, 2015.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Second Timothy, 2015.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Study to show yourself a proof by God, a workman who need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: How can you spread the word of God if you don't know the word of God?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: How can you show yourself fit if you're not fit?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I want new persons always tell me how to lose weight.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: This is when I was losing weight and I'm trying to get in but folks, I want to tell you, because you can't tell by looking, it's been a while.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But here's the thing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There was a person who long time ago and I was in the middle losing about 250 pounds of the time.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And this person had never lost weight.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, they was, I won't go into how big they were, but I'll say you this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's one thing to say you know how to lose weight and to never do it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But to say you know how to do it, not to do it, you're not being a very good witness, okay?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: This individual was something, and they were starting to tell me, you need to do this, this, and this, but they had never done it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So, if you're going around telling people how to live for God, but you're not doing it, and you're telling them how to study the word of God, but you're not doing it, you're being a hippo crit, and you need to show them you need to go to church.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, really, where do you go to?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, well, personally, I don't, but let's suppose we have to be a good soldier.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't be a POW, and pretend as if you're being a good soldier for Christ,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm not talking about those who are physically ill and can't help it, okay?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you know, you know when you can, you can't, you know that, but only God knows the truth.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And you need to make sure you're not spreading the word of God and doing the exact opposite.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Second Corinthians, chapter 10.
2 Corinthians 10 chapter mention
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Second Corinthians, chapter 10, verse 4 through 6.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Second Corinthians chapter 10 verse 4 through 6 says, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, how about going against it?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Cesting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is complete.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe right now, you're having a difficulty, and I understand that, believe me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're having a difficulty in your life.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Something that's safe and keeps throwing that to you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember when I talked about what are the arrows
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, shoot them one after another after another.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that one's not working.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You'll try another and another.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And that one maybe has hit you a little harder.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you're feeling the heat in your armor about that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you are.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm not going to go through the long list.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, when we talk about it, it might be gossip.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It might be sexual impurities.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It might be whatever it might be lying or greed or whatever it might be.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a whole slew.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: This is where you need to be obedient.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what's right?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because the Holy Spirit, not because of evil.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is where you need to be obedient.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I noticed someone looking at the camera, I'm not looking at anybody in particular because the last thing I want to have happened is, so I'm gonna say, he was looking right at me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He knew, ah, someone's talking.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Fact is, it's a feeling when I was just looking at it and be looking at me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because I have to struggle with the two.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm human too.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We all have struggled.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Every single one of us, John chapter 14, verse 26.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Listen what Jesus tells us, and Jesus tells us because of a counselor that he was sending.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He was sending this counselor.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: This is during the last supper, by the way.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And as he's speaking in the last supper, is right after Judas left, right after Judas left.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And when Judas left, Jesus started speaking very personal, to Peter, Andrew, James, John, Philip, Thomas, all of them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And as he's speaking to them, he's telling them that they're not gonna be alone.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They're gonna have a counselor to help them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: This counselor you have to, if you've asked Jesus Christ to be your personal Lord and Savior, to save you, ball your sins, this counselor is in you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't let some of those people say you don't have this counselor unless you speak in tongues.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's not true, you have this counselor.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But the counselor says in John 1426, but the counselor, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You remember that time, there's about to do something wrong, and you heard that little knock and at the heart, and you were reminded of a scripture that Graham all told you years ago or that the preacher told you or that you heard Billy Graham say or someone else, and you're like, shh, shh, shh, I don't want to remember that right now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You remember that?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That was the Holy Spirit.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember the times when you're calling out to the Lord saying, Lord, I don't remember where this was found, but all said, boom, it comes back to you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, I have to make three days ago.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I was praying, Lord, I wish right now, I could remember the scripture.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't, I said, you guys, you know my memory's bad.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: If anyone does Luis back there knows because I can never remember his name, but I just didn't see, but I pray I've always prayed for different memories in the Lord brought back boom back to Scripture, right when I needed it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know why?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit has that power, that ability, that ability.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But here's something we need to remember when you're a soldier of Christ and you remember
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of people out there who are lost.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: More people who are lost than are not.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I want you to remember to pray for them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I know it's hard not to get mad at them and you can get mad at them all you want.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't get mad at them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Get mad at the devil who's using them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard, I see people on the news all the time, who say stupid, and they do say stupid things.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They say, hateful things about God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Hateful things about people.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, it's interesting.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes they say, well, that person's going to hell, that person's not, now I'm not talking about the Christian.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking about those on the media.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'll tell you to say that about certain people.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They're not correct necessarily.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They don't know, oh, they're not God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They might say these, I've had people say that about me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: If they know, I'm going to hell, and I say,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're, well, I wouldn't bet on it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't bet anyway.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I said, I wouldn't bet on a son.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, you do, you can, you can't be broke tonight.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I go right through Scripture.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm saved by the grace and my faith in Jesus Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So what was it?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, don't say that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll give him a scripture.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll give a scripture.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's so funny.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, don't say that they want to see what they want to see.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't laugh at them because I want them to be wrong.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I laugh because the devil has blinded so many.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We need to pray for them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Pray for them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They may not like you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's okay.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus loves you and guess what?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Loves them too.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Die for them too.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Pray for the loss.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, pray for the POWs too.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Pray for those who have been who are and have been prisoners of war.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't go around what they really love God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They'd be a church right now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, maybe they have been blindsided.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe right now they're so afraid of what their family is gonna say with their friends, they're gonna say what their work people are gonna say, they're just so confused.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Pray for them, pray for them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Pray that they will have the ability to see the power God is greater than the people of their work.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Greater than their friends, suppose it friends.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Greater than everyone else.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Pray that they'll see that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Just keep praying.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Never stop praying, never stop.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: This last Tuesday, there was an election.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It didn't affect us, in the sense that it had nothing to do with any of us, but had to do some blue states, you know what those are.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And people were really upset because communists, a few communists were like, did now, I'm not a fan of them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But here's the thing, just pray for the people of those states.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Some of them got what they wanted, some didn't, and some are leaving those states.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But we need to pray, I don't, I'm not a fan of communism.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But we need to pray for those people, even them, because God loves them too.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't love what they're doing because a lot of them are very unbiblical.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But we pray for those people.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Pray for those who are going to suffer, because not everybody can get up and move.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So you pray for them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And if you think it's never going to affect us, that's not necessarily to either.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because people hear things and they grab on to it, especially the young, but they've not lived a lot yet.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So you pray for them that they will hang on to God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Pray for those who become like POWs, missing an action.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, when it says that, please the SEC's chapter 9 verse 5.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Ecclesi SEC's 9.5 says this, the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They have no more reward for the memory of them is forgotten.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you can take that and say, well, of course,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The dead don't know nothing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But folks, I want you to remember that these people are dead.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The lost are dead.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They're walking around dead.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They're not spiritually alive.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So pray for them that they'll come to no crisis.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They will live.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And Jesus says on Luke 157,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Luke 157, Jesus says, likewise, I tell you, there will be more joy and heaven over one sinner who repents the number of 99 righteous men who need no repentance.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: In other words, God is so thrilled when you're gonna go home.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But think about when one person comes to know him today and ask him into their hearts to be safe.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Think about that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to rejoice over that because that means that never one's going to come home when their time comes.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Praise the Lord.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Many believe that they are saved by believing that Jesus is real.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They believe he's real, but let me just say something about believing Jesus is real.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's great.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Satan believes too.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They may believe he's real, but they're not saved because they don't have their beliefs in him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We need to pray that they'll come to know.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Pray for them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't be angry at him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They'll hate them, be angry, Satan who's blinded them, who's using them, misusing them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Matthew 7, 21, through 23, Matthew 7, 21, your 23 says, and this is Jesus speaking, not everyone who says to me, Lord Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my father, who is in heaven, many will say to me on that day, Lord Lord, have we not prophesied in your name, cast out demons in your name and done many wonderful works in your name.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: this is terrible.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But then I wouldn't have cleared to them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I never knew you depart from me who practice you, who practice evil.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for having people right now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We say they know God and don't.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And because they believe that He's real.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But they don't understand the difference between asking Jesus to save them and believe in Israel.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We need to pray for them to see the truth and know the truth that they will not be enemies but become soldiers and pray for those who are POWs to understand that they can get back in line again and serve him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And then some soldiers say this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm so mistreated by the lost.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so mistreated by the loss of scares me to get back in line again.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It scares me to serve again.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, your mistreated.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They hate Jesus, who's inside of you, soldier.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, they're gonna hate you to represent him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're told this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So let's look again to second Timothy, chapter two.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Three through four.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That was our starting scripture.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's our main scripture for the day.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because what does it tell us, it says indoor hard times.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't say, nor, it says indoor hard times as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No soldier on active duty and tangles himself with a civilian affairs.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: What does that mean?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It means you don't go around living like the lost, being like the lost, being like a POW.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's not what it says.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No soldier on active duty and tingles of self with civilian affairs, that why do we not behave like the world, that we may please the enlisting officer, that we may please the general God, that we could please the Lord God, we don't get lost in the ways of the world again.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it means, Philippians 3, Philippians chapter 3, 20 through 21, but our citizenship
Philippians 3 chapter mention
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Cause I'm gonna tell you, you're not home, you're not home.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Philippians 3, 20 through 21, but our citizenship is in heaven from where also we wait for our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our body of humiliation so that it may be conformed to his glorious body, according to the working of his power, even to subdue all things to himself.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Right now you have a suffering body.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's some of your bodies look so much better than mine.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I know
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It may not seem so bad for some of y'all, but wait, can you get the heaven?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No more pain.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No more sorrow, but just stuffing right now, soldier.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're stuffing right now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: If you're watching somebody, let's think of the soldiers for a minute.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Those soldiers run, run, run.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You seem to run.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You seem to work out.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They're all sweating.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They're not feeling so good.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But when you see them after a few months, and boy, they're in good shape.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Aren't they?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They're in great shape, and you think all there's no pain in there.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yes, there's a lot of pain, the way they eat, the way they
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, no pain, no gain, and some people would say, you have to go through a lot of pain to get to the good.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That seems a Christian soldier.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You had to go through training, the prayers, the training, the violence, you have to go through all of it to become a good Christian soldier, brother, sister, that's what you have to go through.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: This is how you become a God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: What should be that means there is pain.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There is sorrow, but it may shoot into what God wants you to be.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: What you need to be, amen.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And so I say this, pick up the word of God, wield your sword, carry the word with you in your heart, in your mind, the physical body, excuse me, the physical Bible, it's just a sheath to hold the sword.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people say, but I have a Bible, that's great.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm thrilled you do.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: For years I had a Bible.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, that Bible is in my office right now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That Bible I've received.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I was three years old.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I was a three year old little boy.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I received it for Easter from my grandma, my grandpa.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I love that Bible.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's funny, I pick it up, I just feel so close, you know it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's King James, do you think I have to stood that Bible?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't even read it!
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I couldn't even read.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know, I still had that Bible.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so thrilled.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's falling apart, but that's okay because it means so much to me in a beautiful.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I had a grandma and grandpa that loved us so much about every single one of their grand sons and their grand daughters.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Bibles in that beautiful.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I thank God for them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They bought me a sword.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm not talking about the plastics where they bought those two, but they bought us a sword to carry against the enemy.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't realize that as a kid.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They bought me a sword, a helmet, a shield, a belt, shoes and a chest plate to protect me from the enemy of the devil.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I praise God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's loving family.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I really do.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: and God loves you so much.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He wants you to have that sword.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Always have it prepared, but he wants you not just to have the physical sword.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He wants you to know the word, trust in the word, have your faith in the word of God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: What do I mean, have it all memorized?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you already know your pastor.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I have certain parts of the word with me always, and I'm always learning new ones, but you don't have a greatest memory in the world.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You have your head dug in a few times, you'll see, but here I create an hope you never do.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the thing, you have to with your heart, memorize a few things and you'll keep it with you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not that hard.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like having your favorite song, oh, you just thought of one.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Have that part of the song, memorize, you know it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You can do the same with the word of God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Put it to music if you have to, but keep it with you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: What does Jesus say in Luke 11, Luke 11, 28?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Luke 11 28, but he said, indeed, blessed are those who hear the word of God, who hear the word of God and keep it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's one thing to hear it, but to keep the word, follow the word, know the word, left
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Earlier, I was talking about someone who knew how to lose weight, but wasn't losing it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Someone who knows a diet and doesn't use it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like someone who knows what they're very sick, okay, I was stupid once, had seizure medicine for myself, and someone told me not to take that medicine if I treated a president, God, that was dumb.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God gave me that medicine, you know what?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I had all the medicine I needed to home, didn't take it and had a seizure.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why that happened, yeah, I do do.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I was dumb, I didn't take it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe God is giving you the word, but you don't live by it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's why you have him, probably because, perhaps, because you're not following him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Proverbs 30, verse 5.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Proverbs 30, verse 5.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Every word of God is pure.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him, I'll say it again.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, Solomon.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Proverbs 30, verse 5.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Every word of God is pure.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Amen.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Amen.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And 2 Timothy 3, 2 Timothy 3, 2 Timothy 3, 2 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3, 1 Timothy 3,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you've heard it, but let's sort of says, and it's true, by the way, there's no way on earth, there's so many people, different people could agree on the same things without the Holy Spirit guiding the Lord of God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's sort of says, 2 Timothy 3, 16 through 17, all
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Scripture is inspired by God, and it is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that a man of God, person of God, okay, I don't want you women to think it's just for men, for a man of God, may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work, praise the Lord.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm very proud of those who serve for this country.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I really am.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Whether Pete, I appreciate you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate all the people who ever serve.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe there's someone at home who serve.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you so much.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for what you've done.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't think, you know, every time I see a veteran, I think him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I think the people who serve for our country, but you know what, I see people sometimes you wear those hats, they're Vietnam, Korea, whatever.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I stop them all and I say thank you so much.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I've checked, I see this one guy at the gym.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Eric, thank you, brother, thank you so much.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I say thank you for what you've done.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And they may even get tired of it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna do it anyway, what?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Respect.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But today I want to say to you, Christian souls are, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you because it is difficult and a lot of people don't wear their veteran hats.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They don't talk about, I serve the army, I serve the war of Ephesians chapter 6.
Ephesians 6 chapter mention
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I serve the, here's the thing, that's what you do.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Every day when you serve for God and it's hard people say all that's a hard Yes, it is when you go to work and people mock you for being a Christian when people make fun of you on Facebook Well people make fun of you on whatever you're on They make fun of you for 11 Jesus every single day and you keep getting out there like a veteran and say I love Jesus Yes, I do because That's why it's supposed to be to love Jesus no matter what, but I would just go there mock me and they just I still start because you're a veteran No matter the age you're a veteran not proud of you
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Today you're veteran, now you need to help guide the novice, help guide the infant, those who are forever in basic training, who are A-wall, and there are a lot of who are A-wall.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Help the POW soldier, we're not going to judge him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We know what it's like to want to give up, but we're not going to judge him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to help that pills W soldier, get back up again, get back on the track again and walk, run even, get back, get back where you need to be, we're going to help you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because we know Jesus is in you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He's not left you, don't leave him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: If right now you're scared because you feel like you've given up and you're not doing the right thing, God will help put you back back where you ought to be, don't give up.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: POW, don't be a prisoner or no, no, no, no.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't be the POW prisoner of war.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, when I looked up POW this week, I always looked things up to make sure I'm getting everything just right.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Looking up the history of it and everything.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But did you know there are quite a few POW acronyms?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, there's another one, too.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There's another one.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I won't go through malls, probably six or seven.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But there is one of POW that also means proof of work.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I like that,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, we already know we're not saved by our work.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We know that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like grace, however.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: When you're not a POW prison war, perhaps your soldier has POW proof of work because you continue to serve.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No matter how hard the road is, and when you have that proof of work, you're showing that you're a soldier, you show your proof of work to your commander God that you're proud to serve him, no matter what may happen.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So I say continue to serve, serve, serve, go forward, following his every instruction.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: do that today, do that every day, and I guarantee you, God is proud of you, just like you're proud of him, amen.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I will say one more time, I will close this one more time with Second Timothy II, three, three, four, and I want you to remind yourself of this tomorrow in the next day and the next and the next.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Second Timothy II, three, three, four.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Endure hard times as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No soldier, on act of duty, and tangles himself with civilian affairs, that he may please the enlisting officer, you'll be tempted today and tomorrow in the next, to be involved with the things of the world, to be involved with all those things, but God understands, I can do those things, so still love me, that's not the point, that's not the point.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: with Satan comes, Satan who's of this world comes.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You remember that verse that your pastor says, so very often, first John 4 for it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Creators, he, the enlisting officer, who's in me, then he, the devil, who's of the world.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God is with you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He's enlisted you, and he'll keep directing you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You follow those directed paths.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's bound prayer.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Your precious Heavenly Father, Lord God, I want to thank all the veterans, not just of this nation, the Lord, the veterans of your army.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I pray right now, Lord God, that if we feel like sometimes we're stepping out of line, that you'll help guide us back into the line, your line, following you and ourselves.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Lord, if there's anything that is having us to get out of shape, I pray Lord God that you will show us right now through the Holy Spirit through your word, for those who are not able to be here today because of physical problems or emotional problems or Lord distinctions in life because life happens.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I pray, Lord God, that you will just show them right now, help them, guide them, allow them to feel your love and protection around them, protect them from the enemy Lord Jesus Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I pray that you will help us Lord, not to be angry or show judgment towards others, but Lord God allow your judgment to guide them through you and through us Lord.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: To bring them back into the line, Lord Jesus Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: through a loving understanding soldier.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I pray this in your holy precious name or Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Amen.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Amen.
