Slave to Sin - Moment of Truth Bible Baptist Church 6/28/2026

[SPEAKER_00]: Once you get to Exodus, chapter 20, verse 1 through 6.

Exodus 20:1–6

[SPEAKER_00]: If you can please stand to honor the reading of God's Word, it would be appreciated.

[SPEAKER_00]: It says in Exodus, chapter 21, verse 1 through 6.

Exodus 21:1–6

[SPEAKER_00]: It says, now God spoke all these words saying, I am the Lord of God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

[SPEAKER_00]: You should have no other God's before me.

[SPEAKER_00]: You should not make for yourselves any graven idols.

[SPEAKER_00]: or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water below the earth, you should not bow down to them or serve them where I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on their children to the third and fourth generation of them who hate me.

[SPEAKER_00]: and showing loving kindness to thousands of them who love me and keep my commandments.

[SPEAKER_00]: God bless and honor the reading of his word and you may be seated.

[SPEAKER_00]: At the beginning of this month, we spoke a little bit about this.

[SPEAKER_00]: We had the very first Sunday of this.

[SPEAKER_00]: month, we had a sermon called Master of the Universe.

[SPEAKER_00]: And we spoke a little bit about the Lord God.

[SPEAKER_00]: And we spoke about how they would make masters of sins and other gods.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why the picture that you receive may look a little familiar, then again, my not.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is a different picture, but there is a little bit alike, the background, and the like, and the picture of the devil, the middle.

[SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to talk a little bit about that if you're in a little bit.

[SPEAKER_00]: First of all, know this.

[SPEAKER_00]: On June 19th, 1865, Major General, Gordon Granger, found out about the winning of the Union in the Civil War.

[SPEAKER_00]: He had no idea.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so because of that, that's what's in Texas today.

[SPEAKER_00]: So because of that, he decided that he would give the final enforcement of the emancipation in the freedom of slavery.

[SPEAKER_00]: This was why Juneteenth exists.

[SPEAKER_00]: because that's what it's about.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now I think Juneteenth is a stupid name.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's Juneteenth.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of weird.

[SPEAKER_00]: But either way, that's just my personal opinion.

[SPEAKER_00]: That is what that's really about because even though the freedom of slavery had already been around for a little while, the people in Texas didn't know about it.

[SPEAKER_00]: They weren't aware of it for a time, and so whenever that major general found out about this freedom from slavery that the African-Americans that they were not by the way, a lot of more not Africans, maybe their grandfathers and grandmothers were, but they were not.

[SPEAKER_00]: But they're

[SPEAKER_00]: They, and they weren't Americans until that moment, in the sense that they had not been allowed to be thought of as Americans, but they were, at that time, we'll just, we'll say black because they had other horrible names for a lot of people, which is stupid, but they were slaves, but they were no longer slaves.

[SPEAKER_00]: This meant they were to celebrate the finalization from slavery in America, praise God for that.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm very glad about that.

[SPEAKER_00]: And many, many, many people died for that freedom.

[SPEAKER_00]: But slavery continues to this very day, not the way, and that's very sad, but not the way many people on CNN will tell you, or MSNBC, or a lot of other places will tell you.

[SPEAKER_00]: The slavery exists every single day, not like what I spoke about three weeks ago today, when we spoke about people are slavery to sin.

[SPEAKER_00]: not only to sin, but to false gods.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what a lot of the false gods are sins.

[SPEAKER_00]: So there are many slaves today to false gods in the false gods of sin.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the name of today's servant, slave to sin.

[SPEAKER_00]: Slave to sin.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so the question is, are you slave to sin?

[SPEAKER_00]: You have been saved by the apologies, hopefully.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so let's talk about these different things, Salvation.

[SPEAKER_00]: Salvation is a set you can free from sin.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now we'll talk about freedom next week, but you are to be set free from sin.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's what Salvation's all about, but some stake in acting to sin.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now all the pictures that I gave to you,

[SPEAKER_00]: on the back part of it, but not the one that has all the Greek Roman fake gods, but the one that you see these people now, one of them has a character that you men who come to the to the X-Men, we know him, his name in Xerxes, that's the only X-name that's in the Bible and not even in the King James, it's in the other versions because Xerxes is the name,

[SPEAKER_00]: Azurcsis is the name, the Babylonian name, of the King James name that we know, the Hebrew name of Hasaris.

[SPEAKER_00]: But Azurcsis is the name of that character, the saved one.

[SPEAKER_00]: And you see that he's still hang on to the ball and chain.

[SPEAKER_00]: Notice that chain is not on him, but he's hanging on to that chain and hanging on to that ball of sin.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now the other man is lost.

[SPEAKER_00]: And no, that's not meant to look like my brother Tony over here.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's supporting that out to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: He looks just like, no, no, no, no.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's a completely different man.

[SPEAKER_00]: That is Louise.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's not meant to look like anybody else either.

[SPEAKER_00]: But that is Louise the lost man.

[SPEAKER_00]: But the lost people are still connected to the ball of sin and death.

[SPEAKER_00]: But the same man, is it how everything's still hang on to us to sin?

[SPEAKER_00]: There's still hang on to that.

[SPEAKER_00]: So oftentimes people do, we don't need to be.

[SPEAKER_00]: We don't need to hang on to that.

[SPEAKER_00]: We don't need to be a slave to sin ever again.

[SPEAKER_00]: That ball and chain of habits that we so often hang on to.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now others are still lost and attached to the lies.

[SPEAKER_00]: But we are not.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now let's see what Jesus says in John chapter 8, verse 34 through 36.

John 8:34–36

[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see what Jesus says.

[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus answered them, truly, truly,

[SPEAKER_00]: I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now a slave does not remain in the house forever, but a son remains forever.

[SPEAKER_00]: Therefore, if the son sets you free, you shall be what?

[SPEAKER_00]: Free indeed.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're free from that.

[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to hang on to it ever again.

[SPEAKER_00]: But too many people, they like that sin.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I understand it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I've been into a bondage of slavery.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, wait a minute, Pastor, I thought the Bible said, we're a slave to God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that doesn't mean you're literally a slave.

[SPEAKER_00]: It means that your his servant is bond servant.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that means you are, you chose to stay with him because your, your free servant, your free servant.

[SPEAKER_00]: Either way, let's move on to Galatians 5.1.

[SPEAKER_00]: For freedom, Christ freed us, stand fast, therefore, and do not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage, the yoke of slavery, other versions say.

[SPEAKER_00]: The yoke of slavery.

[SPEAKER_00]: For freedom, Christ freed us.

[SPEAKER_00]: He freed us, so we'll talk more about that next week, so I don't want to get too deep into the whole freedom situation.

[SPEAKER_00]: But you don't need to stay attached to sin ever again.

[SPEAKER_00]: You are freed from it in the sense that you're saved.

[SPEAKER_00]: But so often we stayed attached to it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not talking about being lost.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not talking about eternal slavery.

[SPEAKER_00]: But while we're here on earth, we still often stay attached to it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm not going to ask you what you're attached to.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to ask you, and I wouldn't do that.

[SPEAKER_00]: what bondage do you have?

[SPEAKER_00]: It could be a bondage to lies.

[SPEAKER_00]: It could be a bondage to a great slew of things.

[SPEAKER_00]: I won't go into it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I won't tell you mine, you don't have to tell me yours.

[SPEAKER_00]: There might be things that's very moment that you may have a bondage to.

[SPEAKER_00]: Factors, what we'll do, we'll go to the next position here, which we talk about, has since can be God's to us, I'm talking about lower case G, they can be God's to us, they can control us, dictate our lives and our actions, even above God sometimes, you know, I'm talking about, above God the Father, y'all away often times, people will play so

[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, I'm not talking about anyone particular, okay, no, not anyone you know necessarily or maybe it is you, maybe it is someone you know, I don't know, sometimes people don't come to church.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not talking about anyone that's here today, okay, so not people don't kind of church because they're out.

[SPEAKER_00]: Galavant, no one like it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes people don't kind of trust cause a tire throughout the week.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now this week specifically, but I will score a week and you know, when you get it all planned, it sounds good and it is good.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's good.

[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't change it for net them because what we did for the children this week is a port.

[SPEAKER_00]: And you can't change that.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's important that we had the children here.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's important.

[SPEAKER_00]: We usually had about eight, sometimes nine kids, and my seven, but it was good that we did that.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because it could very well be the only time those kids here this year about Christ and him being no one in heaven.

[SPEAKER_00]: All throughout the year they're going to hear about all those other things.

[SPEAKER_00]: Those minor gods I'm talking about slavery of sin.

[SPEAKER_00]: But they got to hear about the Lord this week.

[SPEAKER_00]: So we're gonna be tired, poor sister Connie, a poor mom and Susan and I were tired.

[SPEAKER_00]: We don't feel that grand today.

[SPEAKER_00]: But it's worth, brother Jeremy and others.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're tired, but you know what?

[SPEAKER_00]: We would do it again, you know why?

[SPEAKER_00]: Because we know it's the right thing to do.

[SPEAKER_00]: But thank goodness we didn't give in this morning.

[SPEAKER_00]: We didn't say, oh, I just need to sleep.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm gonna be honest with you.

[SPEAKER_00]: there it with my alarm went off I want to tick up my phone maybe I'm alone here I want to pick up my phone it's a pow pow and crash into a bazillion pieces but I didn't I didn't I'm not going to get into that no sir but let's see what it says here in Galatians 5 19 through 21 now the works of the flesh now we're talking about the flesh us being human beings says the works of the flesh are revealed

[SPEAKER_00]: And some verses are like this, it says, it's obvious.

[SPEAKER_00]: And there's other verses that Paul does, it's obvious.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're revealed, which are these adultery, sexual immorality.

[SPEAKER_00]: Let me pause if for a second there.

[SPEAKER_00]: adultery, sex at a wedlock.

[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes it has different words for that.

[SPEAKER_00]: The thing about adultery is something to say, well, I'm not married, so it's not adultery.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now now listen, listen.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you're having sex out of wedlock, you are committed adultery.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because the Bible says that you are to be married to one.

[SPEAKER_00]: And the thing is, if you're not married yet, you are being rude, you are cheating on that person.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're not married to you, you're supposed to be with that.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's the sex is not between a man and a woman.

[SPEAKER_00]: I've said before, it's supposed to be between a husband and a wife.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's it?

[SPEAKER_00]: That's it?

[SPEAKER_00]: And no, no, no, no, no.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care what the law of the land says.

[SPEAKER_00]: It does mean a mail on a female, okay?

[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't care for males, but I'm the wife.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no, no.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that offended you.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm not going to apologize.

[SPEAKER_00]: Not about that.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not trying to be offensive, but the truth sometimes does the fin.

[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're not supposed to be going around committed adultery.

[SPEAKER_00]: or for an occasion, for an occasion is in the Bible too.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're not supposed to do that.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're not supposed to speak sleep in someone out of wedlock.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, no sexual immorality, that's for an occasion.

[SPEAKER_00]: And homosecciality was just oh, so in there.

[SPEAKER_00]: Not in this one, but it's in others.

[SPEAKER_00]: Not so to happen.

[SPEAKER_00]: In purity, well that's in pure.

[SPEAKER_00]: Looking at horrible things, not supposed to do that neither.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's difficult nowadays, cause it's all over the place.

[SPEAKER_00]: Ludeness, that means being vulgar and other things is in there.

[SPEAKER_00]: idolatry, having idols, people have idols, folks, we'll talk about these false gods in a moment, but there's other false gods, people have entertainment and other things, gonna be a false god.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't wanna pick on any bad at the moment, but you know what your idol can be.

[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes the idols are stand up last night watching whatever, you know, I really like movies and things, but folks, that could be a god too.

[SPEAKER_00]: If I decided to stay home today because, I stayed up late last night, and decided to watch whatever,

[SPEAKER_00]: that could be bad too.

[SPEAKER_00]: What if I just you have a past or I stay up and watch the tank and manage that's I've got it's not I've got to put it before coming in and praising him with the church that could be an idol you know.

[SPEAKER_00]: Sorcery witchcraft.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I know a witch, are you involved with something that's involved with witchcraft?

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you're calling up somebody and asking about your future.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you're looking up on the newspaper to see what the star say.

[SPEAKER_00]: Another thing, that's witchcraft.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's involved with other things.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that do hatred.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, it's hatred can take over your life.

[SPEAKER_00]: You gotta be careful.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't like this person.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm kinda not coming out of the fact that you might be angry, I'm coming out, you can't hate people.

[SPEAKER_00]: Let go of it, give it to God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Streif.

[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of strife in this word.

[SPEAKER_00]: Jell, let's see.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, boy, Jell, let's see.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can take over your life.

[SPEAKER_00]: Rage, Joel, angry, man, let's see it all time.

[SPEAKER_00]: Up on the highway.

[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen people get mad.

[SPEAKER_00]: You don't need to do the curse in each other.

[SPEAKER_00]: Also, selfishness, selfishness.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, boy.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh boy, this sentience, heresies, envy, murderers, drunkenness, curousing and the like.

[SPEAKER_00]: I warn you as I previously warned you that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now folks, this doesn't mean if you're Christian and you've done these things, you're not saved anymore.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same.

[SPEAKER_00]: These things, the lost people have made these things, God's and yes, many Christians are still hanging on a lot of these things.

[SPEAKER_00]: You have to God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Give it to God if these things still have a chain on you order hanging on the chain like that feather is right there and I'm talking about the picture now.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want you to think that I just put in anybody out here, okay?

[SPEAKER_00]: Are anyone out on the camera right now?

[SPEAKER_00]: Now let's talk about paganism.

[SPEAKER_00]: Paganism, what's involved with his craft?

[SPEAKER_00]: Paganism throughout the world, there's much paganism.

[SPEAKER_00]: Paganism, where people who are watching false gods, little KST gods.

[SPEAKER_00]: On the picture I handed you, it says, Bales, which was a Lord, a false Lord, false God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Bales are bailing with means gods.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that doesn't say false gods, although one of the false gods is kind of covering up the S, it is plural.

[SPEAKER_00]: But this was the false gods of the Greece in the Romans, of Greece in Rome.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I want to name him off to you all.

[SPEAKER_00]: I've talked about it before, and I'm going to talk about him again, because the last time I didn't get to draw, I didn't get to do that, and I didn't get to put him in a way I wanted to be very hard to do, by the way.

[SPEAKER_00]: You have no idea how many books.

[SPEAKER_00]: and movies and documentaries and other things.

[SPEAKER_00]: Instead, I'm so tired of studying about these stupid fake gods, and I'm still not dealt with one of the books.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's all lies and manipulation, but here's the weird thing about it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Even though it's lies, a lot of the documents talk about it might be real, and here's why it's important to note about them.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm talking about me, not you, you don't have to study them, but I did.

[SPEAKER_00]: The reason why it's important is, even though it's all lies, it's all a fairy tale,

[SPEAKER_00]: For thousands of years, in hundreds, at least in some areas, but people really thought they were real.

[SPEAKER_00]: So they talked about them as if they were real.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it did dictate of the way the world ran.

[SPEAKER_00]: Even to this day, the days of the week are because of some of these false gods.

[SPEAKER_00]: The way the sky is.

[SPEAKER_00]: is I'm talking about the stars now, the astronomy is such an even astrology is because of these fake dots, even the days of the month are because of these dots, they're named after these, some of the planets even, because of these false dots.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's the thing, some of us in Greek language, some of us in Roman language.

[SPEAKER_00]: So let me just tell you a few of them here.

[SPEAKER_00]: I've said it before.

[SPEAKER_00]: There are more than 3,000 dogs in Greece and we're only trying to cut it down to a small amount of 1,500 to 2,000.

[SPEAKER_00]: They sometimes will combine them, but what sounds similar.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so we have, and you'll see it on that picture.

[SPEAKER_00]: I gave it to you.

[SPEAKER_00]: Um, uh, we have, uh, Zeus, that's their Supreme God, uh, or so they called it, of light and sky and lightning, and uh, Rome they called him Jupiter.

[SPEAKER_00]: We have Hera, that was the queen of Olympus, uh, they, they said she was the goddess of marriage and they called her Juno in Rome.

[SPEAKER_00]: We have Poseidon, the Lord of the Seas and the Earth shaker, that was Neptune.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now this one I'm going to name to you, was it actually supposed to be living in Olympus?

[SPEAKER_00]: But this is Hades because he's supposed to be of the grave now.

[SPEAKER_00]: He said crazy three hit head of dog Can't think it was aim at the moment, but I forgot to write it down But that crazy dog He's he has a name too, but it's in there anyway, Hades they put

[SPEAKER_00]: three or so characters together and named it Prudo in Rome.

[SPEAKER_00]: And yes, that was a planet at one time now, they don't call it a planet, and yes, the planet or so it was the smallest one, that's what they named it, the dog and Disney after.

[SPEAKER_00]: Then we have, who else we have here, we have Demeter, Demeter, what you will see in there in the green, Demeter is known as series.

[SPEAKER_00]: in Rome, and to me to supposed to be the goddess of agriculture harvests in the seasons, then there's Apollo, the dot of the sun, light healing and disease.

[SPEAKER_00]: Apollo carries the same name and Greece, also was supposed to be the twin brother of Artemis.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's why you look over to the other side of the Artemis, also known as Diana in Rome, and Diana is supposed to be the moon goddess, that's supposed to be twins.

[SPEAKER_00]: So that's why they look so much alike.

[SPEAKER_00]: uh... then you will see she's supposed to be what is supposed to be uh... she's supposed to be the uh... Athena's supposed to be the goddess of wisdom strategy uh... and i say if they discuss me uh... part of us the goddess of the hunt the moon the winner is the animals wild animals then you see uh... Athena Athena is she's been built in so many places you hear her all the time Athena also knows manerva in rom she all scared me because she's the goddess of wisdom and strategy arts a crafts battle

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think you're just about everything.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I've seen her down in, I think it's a Georgia.

[SPEAKER_00]: In Atlanta, Georgia, they have this big place built to her and there's a huge old statue of her and oh my goodness.

[SPEAKER_00]: She's wearing gold and she's got that shield right there and she's got the,

[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't have the owl.

[SPEAKER_00]: She has something else.

[SPEAKER_00]: But either way, it's like a little statue of her, but it's so scary looking and I took my little nephew caught her with my dad and me and Matthew and he was all scared about even sending a little song about a thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: But to, so he, very well as name, to talk, come, I can remember so easily.

[SPEAKER_00]: So then we see other ones, who's the other ones we have there?

[SPEAKER_00]: We have Hephaestus, Hephaestus, is the God of Forge, fire of volcanoes and craftsmen.

[SPEAKER_00]: His name is Vulcan, yeah, Vulcan, that's what they start to record, because I gave him a point of year.

[SPEAKER_00]: But he was supposed to be handicapped, and he was supposed to be making swords and all these things, this crazy characters.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then we have Aphrodite.

[SPEAKER_00]: Aphrodite was the goddess of love and romance and lust and pleasure and beauty and desire and they involved her.

[SPEAKER_00]: She's supposed to be bisexual and all these other weird things.

[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, here's the thing about Aphrodite in Rome, her name is Venus.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Venus.

[SPEAKER_00]: They even had a little razor named after, you know.

[SPEAKER_00]: She's Venus.

[SPEAKER_00]: She's desire your it is.

[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, you uh, in the other areas, she's known as Ash-Truth.

[SPEAKER_00]: You remember the other page I gave you Ash-Truth?

[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I gave her the same face because she was the same goddess in those other lands that they would worship and now all that junk.

[SPEAKER_00]: And they had, they'd have her, and they're, they're, they're uh, uh, gardens and such.

[SPEAKER_00]: Then there's Hermes, Hermes is a god of messengers, merchants of commerce.

[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, if you see Hermes there, he was known as Mercury.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, the plan is named after Hermes.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you see the thing, he's holding up there in the air.

[SPEAKER_00]: notice that that symbol you see that symbol you see what it says there that he's her means is supposed to be the minister of merchants and commerce he is also but you'll see that symbol and lots of places you'll see him when people come and they deliver things to you that's because and even you you see the people do that

[SPEAKER_00]: when they bring you roses and flowers and all those things, they use him as a symbol of that, that he's going to help bring you that even the character flash was based off him in certain areas.

[SPEAKER_00]: Also, you will see that symbol when you go to the doctors and to the medicine, it's all about it's based off that symbol and that's something.

[SPEAKER_00]: See, we still have step

[SPEAKER_00]: Because they don't know who to base the 12th off of the 12th god or our goddess in this case, both of them is Hestia, who's the goddess of heart or home.

[SPEAKER_00]: She's at the very top, and then on the other side is Dionysus.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Hesty is also known to Vesta, and Dionysus is based off of, is also called Bacus.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, who is Dionysus?

[SPEAKER_00]: He's known as the God of wine and madness.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, maybe you know this, maybe you don't.

[SPEAKER_00]: But Dionysus had a character kind of slightly based off him, and that was the,

[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of these things have been based off this.

[SPEAKER_00]: We see Saturn, you might say, well, how Saturn based off this?

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, believe it or not, Saturn is based off it because the, supposed to be the grandfather, our excuse me, the father of Zeus.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's supposed to have the name Saturn, at least in Rome.

[SPEAKER_00]: He has a different name in Greece.

[SPEAKER_00]: So then there's,

[SPEAKER_00]: Uranus, Uranus, or Uranus, or Uranus, they also call them.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's the great grandfather.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I say all these to you, and even Mother Earth is supposed to be the grandmother of Zeus.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm saying all this to you, simply to tell you that our days have been saturated with this nonsense on lies.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, what do we do?

[SPEAKER_00]: What do we do with that?

[SPEAKER_00]: So we now give new names of these things?

[SPEAKER_00]: No.

[SPEAKER_00]: No.

[SPEAKER_00]: We have what we had.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I tell you this, through time, through time after Jesus came, and after things changed, so did the people of Rome.

[SPEAKER_00]: And the Romans became Christians praise the Lord.

[SPEAKER_00]: But, but even though the Romans became Christians after a lot of time, and you already know Paul came there and was preaching to the Romans and to the people of Rome.

[SPEAKER_00]: Years went by.

[SPEAKER_00]: And let me just tell you, the people on Rome hated the Christians for a very long time.

[SPEAKER_00]: They made them slaves.

[SPEAKER_00]: They killed them.

[SPEAKER_00]: They got by slaves, I just mean they put them in prison.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, my goodness, folks, they killed Paul.

[SPEAKER_00]: They killed Peter.

[SPEAKER_00]: They killed them all.

[SPEAKER_00]: Peter was hung upside down.

[SPEAKER_00]: Paul was beheaded.

[SPEAKER_00]: But look, look, this is what happens.

[SPEAKER_00]: Years went by.

[SPEAKER_00]: And about a decade after the Bible was finished, the work Catholic was made.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, that work Catholic didn't exist before that, but the work Catholic was created.

[SPEAKER_00]: I won't go in at all that.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, we'll probably have a sermon about catholicism at some point, but it's likely round October.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I love all people.

[SPEAKER_00]: I love Catholics too.

[SPEAKER_00]: But we're going to have to say this because it's true.

[SPEAKER_00]: The years went by and the Roman Catholic Church took over.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, what do they have?

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you listen to the Roman Catholics, they will tell you that they were the first church.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's not true.

[SPEAKER_00]: Christianity did not start with the Roman Catholic Church.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, that doesn't mean that we hate anybody, we don't.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm going to tell you something.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was over 300 years after the church began,

[SPEAKER_00]: that the Roman Catholicism began, where when Catholics began, and after the word saint, or Christian, had even begun.

[SPEAKER_00]: After saints' Christians even began because the word saint was before Christian.

[SPEAKER_00]: A Christian was first to be the word, came around because people were making fun of Christians, but they took the word and they said, oh, we'll be called that because we are of Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm telling you this, because once the Roman Catholic Church took over, they tried to make a sound as if they were Christians, and they hijacked the word saints and changed the definition to patron saints.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Bible definition of saints means, as saved follower and believer of a consecrated by God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, what is the Roman Catholic definition of saints?

[SPEAKER_00]: What is that?

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the Roman Catholic definition of saints means,

[SPEAKER_00]: And this is what they say.

[SPEAKER_00]: They are revered and reviewed.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now let me just say this.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're not just a revered or reviewed person.

[SPEAKER_00]: Is a reviewed and revered dead person.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm not just reviewed and revered dead person.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's a reviewed and revered dead person of at least five years.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then they had to be canonized by the Pope.

[SPEAKER_00]: See they make up words.

[SPEAKER_00]: canonize, what does that mean?

[SPEAKER_00]: Once the Pope or a bishop has to be a bishop that is at least high up, they have to say, this is the same a patron saint.

[SPEAKER_00]: So folks, there's a difference between a saint and a patron saint.

[SPEAKER_00]: You are a saint.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you have been born again by the blood of Jesus, you're a saint.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now the problem with the word patron saint or pagan saint is I call it because they are pagans.

[SPEAKER_00]: They just don't know their pagans.

[SPEAKER_00]: The pagan patron saint, the thing about it is folks, you are a saint saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, you are saved by your faith and the grace of Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: So you are a saint.

[SPEAKER_00]: The problem is that we're saying you think, I'm not good enough to be saying what you're right about that, you are not good enough to be a saint.

[SPEAKER_00]: But you are saved by someone who's good enough.

[SPEAKER_00]: to make you a saint.

[SPEAKER_00]: Amen.

[SPEAKER_00]: Your faith goes in Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now it what a man who calls himself the Pope says, he's not good enough to be called a Pope because he's just a man.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's not God like.

[SPEAKER_00]: We'll talk more about that when the time comes.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, let's go through the Roman Catholics.

[SPEAKER_00]: And let's go, and I know this is not that sermon, however, we got to talk about some of the things they have and what they did.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Romans did become Christians, but they did hijack that word of saints.

[SPEAKER_00]: They did other things.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Roman Catholics moved numerous Roman gods over where the masks of saints.

[SPEAKER_00]: So let's talk about that.

[SPEAKER_00]: They do that too.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, too many to name them all.

[SPEAKER_00]: But we'll name a couple.

[SPEAKER_00]: First of all, they took Zeus.

[SPEAKER_00]: They called him St. Peter because he was similar enough.

[SPEAKER_00]: So they took Zeus and named him St. Peter.

[SPEAKER_00]: They took Mercury and named him St. Anthony Padua.

[SPEAKER_00]: They took Apollo and named him St. Luke.

[SPEAKER_00]: They took Junus and by the way, our Janus, excuse me, Janus, by the way, is where we get the name of January from.

[SPEAKER_00]: They took Janus and named him St. John.

[SPEAKER_00]: They took Athena.

[SPEAKER_00]: and named it her St. Catherine.

[SPEAKER_00]: They took Mars and named St. Martin.

[SPEAKER_00]: We had Aphrodite, and believe it or not, made Aphrodite St. Aphrodite.

[SPEAKER_00]: This sex goddess of all things.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then they took Nike, which is a woman, minor goddess.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's where we get the name of the shoot.

[SPEAKER_00]: Were they get that well in Israel?

[SPEAKER_00]: They had a foot of Aphrodite, either.

[SPEAKER_00]: They were still there, the big statue.

[SPEAKER_00]: And when they saw that, the people that were making the shoot saw that,

[SPEAKER_00]: And so they named it after that.

[SPEAKER_00]: So that's where you get the shoe, Nike from that Aphrodite or excuse from Nike.

[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, they took Nike and they named, believe or not, they took the goddess of Nike and put the mask of Saint Nicholas on Nike.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that we're then you took Venus and you get Saint Venera.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I know.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then you have, and this is the big one, Mary.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you look on the other side there, I had three or more, actually, four of Mary.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot more than that, but Mary, they put a lot of things.

[SPEAKER_00]: as a mask on Mary.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's almost like they've made her a God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Did you know there's some who call her the fourth part of the Trinity?

[SPEAKER_00]: The fourth God, they call her.

[SPEAKER_00]: They put her up there above Jesus in some ways.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, is that blasphemy or is that blasphemy?

[SPEAKER_00]: Do you know why?

[SPEAKER_00]: Because their Jesus in Catholicism is not the Jesus you know.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Mary they have in Catholicism is not the Mary you know.

[SPEAKER_00]: They believe it is, and I'm not trying to disrespect.

[SPEAKER_00]: But folks, if I don't tell the truth that I'm a liar, and what kind of man am I?

[SPEAKER_00]: So, let's talk about what they do with Mary.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, first of all, they take an ISIS, the Egyptian goddess that they also worship in Rome, and they have placed Mary on top of her.

[SPEAKER_00]: They've taken Diana, the goddess of childbirth in the moon, and they've placed

[SPEAKER_00]: Mary on top of her, they take series, the goddess of agriculture, motherly relationships, and they placed Mary on top of her, they taken Vesta, the goddess of the heart, heart, and home, and the end of state, and they taken put Mary on top of her.

[SPEAKER_00]: They also taken Semi-Ramis, which incidentally, first time I heard the name Semi-Ramis was from a movie.

[SPEAKER_00]: about a slave named Samaramas, which is kind of ironic because people are slave to this false goddess.

[SPEAKER_00]: Either way, Samaramas and Temas, and that was her son, Samaramas and sons, Temas, and they've taken the Virgin Mary and the baby Jesus,

[SPEAKER_00]: which is an a Syrian god or goddess, and they've adopted it by the Catholics, and so that they can bow down to Mary holding Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I put that on the very top, so you can see it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because they bow down to this all the time, that's inside of one of their big temples.

[SPEAKER_00]: They bow down to that all the time, and they worship it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, they worship it.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Roman Catholics erased, by the way, so that they could...

[SPEAKER_00]: bow down to these false gods.

[SPEAKER_00]: Guess what they did?

[SPEAKER_00]: They went to the second commandment and they changed it.

[SPEAKER_00]: They erased the second commandment.

[SPEAKER_00]: What is the second commandment?

[SPEAKER_00]: They also have no greater than image.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now the first ones have had no other God before me.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's the first commandment.

[SPEAKER_00]: We read it all of those.

[SPEAKER_00]: The second commandment.

[SPEAKER_00]: They also have no greater than image.

[SPEAKER_00]: No idol.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: Here's what it says.

[SPEAKER_00]: You should not make clear self in a grave in idol or any likeness of anything that isn't heaven above or in the earth beneath or that is in the water below the earth.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's verse 4 of chapter 20 of Exodus.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, what do they do?

[SPEAKER_00]: How do you raise that?

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they did it because they knew about down a grave in image is.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now folks, I'm not talking about it's wrong to have a cross or it could we're not bound down to it.

[SPEAKER_00]: We have this as a reminder of Christ Himself.

[SPEAKER_00]: But notice how every single cross they have has Jesus on it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why?

[SPEAKER_00]: Because they literally bow down and worship that symbol.

[SPEAKER_00]: But with these, they literally take some home.

[SPEAKER_00]: Did you know that they have, I can't remember which God that it is, which is a saint.

[SPEAKER_00]: that it is.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was Joseph, but I could be wrong.

[SPEAKER_00]: But they take them home and if you're going to move, you're supposed to bury it upside down in your garden so that you will not be cursed.

[SPEAKER_00]: That folks, that's a God.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can call it and think you want to.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's a God.

[SPEAKER_00]: But what they do this with so many things.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's so many God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Do you know how many they have?

[SPEAKER_00]: over 3000, over 3000, it was like, I think they said 30,000, I could be wrong, but I think that's what they said.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know it was over 10,000, I don't remember.

[SPEAKER_00]: Think of this, they've done this with so many people.

[SPEAKER_00]: They do it all the time.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it's sad.

[SPEAKER_00]: They said, so wait a minute, Pastor.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know some Catholics.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're good people, yes, they're good people.

[SPEAKER_00]: They have Tien Commandments.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know.

[SPEAKER_00]: You don't know what they did.

[SPEAKER_00]: They took the Tienth Commandment and they made it into two separate commandments.

[SPEAKER_00]: So what they did was, they asked y'all not covet, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: They asked y'all not covet that neighbor stuff.

[SPEAKER_00]: They made that into two separate things.

[SPEAKER_00]: They asked y'all not covet that neighbor's wife is number nine on their, if there is.

[SPEAKER_00]: And number 10 is asked y'all not covet that neighbor's goods.

[SPEAKER_00]: So therefore, they made one commandment too and they erased number two.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now folks, that's Bosch me, that's Bosch me.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Roman Catholics also worship idols, so we just talked about that.

[SPEAKER_00]: They still praying to their gods, just in different names.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is the different names what we're talking about while I go.

[SPEAKER_00]: And they're holding the Rosary Beats when they do it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I put that on that picture, Rosary B's.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you see on the Rosary B's, you might not be able to tell, it's kind of small.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's a Mary on there, and there's a bunch of beads around or it depends on the Rosary B's, because some have 30, some have 20, some have 50.

[SPEAKER_00]: But what Jesus is easily a three or two or five, depending on the Catholic, you know what that means?

[SPEAKER_00]: He's time, you move a bead, you do a prayer.

[SPEAKER_00]: And what happens now, I want you to think of this, what that means is you pray to Mary more than you pray to Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it means.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it means.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're placing Mary above Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: Mary's not a God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Mary was the mother that God chose to give birth to God.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I've sent it before Christmas time, and I'll say it again.

[SPEAKER_00]: If Mary heard people do that, she would say, I repent to you in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord, and save your boy.

[SPEAKER_00]: Roman Catholics lie to themselves and others and claim not to be worshiping the patron saints and gods.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sure they believe that.

[SPEAKER_00]: They say they don't pray to them, they claim that these saints assist them in worship and prayer.

[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, you find that the cataclysm, the cataclysm, I'm going to get a cataclysm sometime.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no, no, I don't want you to think that your pastor is going to be here and go into the cataclysm.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to get a cataclysm.

[SPEAKER_00]: through a Christian viewpoint, and I'm going to mark it to let people see if ever they ask me, because I do have Catholics asked for questions all the time, so they can see where the cataclysm goes against a Bible.

[SPEAKER_00]: Some passages, I will do that because I know some Catholics, I'm going to help them, and I'll do it for the upcoming sermon at some point.

[SPEAKER_00]: Either way, it speaks in the cataclysm about praying too, Mary.

[SPEAKER_00]: and to any of the thousands of pagan patron saint gods.

[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, it doesn't say a cyst.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's used the word, venerate, venerate.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's praying to him.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is used a different word.

[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, I'm gonna tell you a couple of the prayers that pray to Mary.

[SPEAKER_00]: Here's one of them.

[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, listen to these words now.

[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, most loving, virgin Mary, never was it heard that anyone who turned to you for help was left unated.

[SPEAKER_00]: I run to your protection for you, our my mother.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is one of their prayers.

[SPEAKER_00]: Here's another one.

[SPEAKER_00]: You probably heard this.

[SPEAKER_00]: Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, Hail our life, our sweetness, and our hope to you, we cry that children of Eve, to you we sin up our size, morning and weeping, and this land of exile, turn them most gracious, and cook it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Your eyes are mercy toward us, lead us home at last.

[SPEAKER_00]: These are the prayers they pray to Mary,

[SPEAKER_00]: So here's the question that we have.

[SPEAKER_00]: Are there Christians in the Catholic Church?

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, there are.

[SPEAKER_00]: There are Christians in the Catholic Church.

[SPEAKER_00]: And we need to pray for them.

[SPEAKER_00]: We can love them.

[SPEAKER_00]: We can pray for them.

[SPEAKER_00]: And we should.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because I love them.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're my cousins.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so to say, here's the thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to say that there's no brothers who's a Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure there are.

[SPEAKER_00]: And we need to pray for them.

[SPEAKER_00]: I love them.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I'd be a liar if I said to you right now that I know for a fact that they're all saved, I'm not even gonna give you a percentage because I would be very shocked if even I doubt this lesson, I imagine this lesson 50% because so many of it don't get a chance to hear the truth, I hope they do.

[SPEAKER_00]: I hope they come to the price that they don't.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it's the Roman Catholicism that led the others.

[SPEAKER_00]: They don't all go to Roman Catholic Church, but I pray and hope they come to know them.

[SPEAKER_00]: I really do.

[SPEAKER_00]: Let's pray for them all the time.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're misled and they've been misled for a very long time.

[SPEAKER_00]: So pray, pray for their eyes to be open.

[SPEAKER_00]: Pray for their eyes to be open.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want hardship for them.

[SPEAKER_00]: We don't want that.

[SPEAKER_00]: We don't want them at all.

[SPEAKER_00]: So let's pray for them and hear some scriptures for you that we can remember.

[SPEAKER_00]: First, John 521, listen what John says, little children, keep yourselves from idols, amen.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it says.

[SPEAKER_00]: First Timothy 2.5, by the way, that was first John 521, little children, keep yourselves from idols, amen.

[SPEAKER_00]: First Timothy 2.5, first Timothy 2.5.

[SPEAKER_00]: There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man, Christ Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not Mary, it's Christ Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: Roman's 826-27 says this and this is to be remembered because all times people don't give Holy Spirit credit where they didn't know.

[SPEAKER_00]: Holy Spirit is all the one that's Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: So you're right.

[SPEAKER_00]: He is the mediator.

[SPEAKER_00]: But listen what it says here about the Holy Spirit because I want you to remember.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Holy Spirit helps you to find Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: So this is the Romans 8, 26, 2, 7, likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness.

[SPEAKER_00]: For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with grownings too deep for words.

[SPEAKER_00]: He who searches the hearts, knows with the mind of the Spirit is, because

[SPEAKER_00]: He intercedes for the saints, according to the will of God, is the Spirit, the intercedes, it is Jesus that that what is the Spirit that mediates for us.

[SPEAKER_00]: We need the Holy Spirit, we need Jesus, not Mary, not others.

[SPEAKER_00]: We are saints, and it is the Holy Spirit in Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: Here's one other, Romans 12, two.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm glad it says Romans.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'm glad it's for the Romans.

[SPEAKER_00]: So it says Romans 12, two.

[SPEAKER_00]: Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now folks, I'm gonna quickly turn to Acts.

[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't gonna do this originally, but I found that this morning and I said, oh my goodness, I gotta turn to Acts 14, 8 through 18.

[SPEAKER_00]: Acts 14, 8 through 18.

[SPEAKER_00]: Listen to this, this is Paul speaking.

[SPEAKER_00]: Atheraking in Lystria, their set of man crippled in his feet, who had never walked and was laying from birth.

[SPEAKER_00]: He heard Paul speaking, who looked intently at him and perceived that he had faith to be healed.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he said, with the loud voice, stand up on your feet, and he jumped up and walked.

[SPEAKER_00]: And when the crowd saw what Paul had done, I want you to remember they'd been raised the ways of the Romans because Romans were everywhere, they had to troll everything, let's what he said.

[SPEAKER_00]: When they saw what he had done, they lived it up their voices saying, and let's listen in, that means the language.

[SPEAKER_00]: The gods have come down to us and the likeness of men,

[SPEAKER_00]: and Paul, they called hermese, they called hermese, or excuse me, they called Bar of Zeus, and they called Paul hermese.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now hermese is that God and so is Zeus.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so they were thinking that was Zeus and hermese, they had come upon them.

[SPEAKER_00]: The messenger and the God of lightning.

[SPEAKER_00]: They were calling them the false God's names.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, boy,

[SPEAKER_00]: They called him a Hermes because he was the main speaker in the first hurricane, the priest of Zeus, who was in front of the city, city, brought bulls and garlands to the gates to offer sacrifices with the crowds, verse 14.

[SPEAKER_00]: But when the apostles, Barnabas and Zeus heard our excuse, hello, Barnabas and Paul heard this.

[SPEAKER_00]: They tore their clothes and rushed out into the crowd crying out men.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why are you doing this?

[SPEAKER_00]: We also are men.

[SPEAKER_00]: of light nature with you preaching to you and turn to turn from these vain things to the living God who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything that is in them.

[SPEAKER_00]: who, in times past allow all nations to walk in their own ways, yet he did not leave himself without witness, for he did good and gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons satisfying our hearts with food and gladness.

[SPEAKER_00]: With these wars, they scarcely restrained the crowds from sacrificing to them.

[SPEAKER_00]: They barely could stop it.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I wanted to tell you that these crowds turned away from the false gods and got saved right then and there, but that's not what happened.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know what happened next?

[SPEAKER_00]: What happened was really kind of sad.

[SPEAKER_00]: They wanted stone Paul and they wanted a stone bar of us.

[SPEAKER_00]: They barely got out there with their lives, but they did.

[SPEAKER_00]: They got out with their lives and they left.

[SPEAKER_00]: They got out and they left.

[SPEAKER_00]: Folks, we live in a world.

[SPEAKER_00]: where people are slave to sins.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're slaves of all scots all over this world.

[SPEAKER_00]: But you are not.

[SPEAKER_00]: You are set free.

[SPEAKER_00]: You are free.

[SPEAKER_00]: You are free indeed.

[SPEAKER_00]: So here's the question I have to you.

[SPEAKER_00]: Are you a slave to sin?

[SPEAKER_00]: You are definitely free for eternal life.
