  1. [SPEAKER_00]: That's all now.

  2. [SPEAKER_00]: Turn, so I'll turn to Philippians.

  3. [SPEAKER_00]: Philippians chapter four verse one.

  4. [SPEAKER_00]: And as you turn to Philippians chapter four verse one, please stand on the reading of his word.

  5. [SPEAKER_00]: And the reason why I was doing this is because at the very end, we're gonna go to Philippians again.

  6. [SPEAKER_00]: But it'll be in the same chapter, but in a couple different verses.

  7. [SPEAKER_00]: Philippians 41, therefore, my beloved and long four brothers, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my beloved, I'm going to say that one more time, therefore my beloved and long four brothers, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my beloved, God bless and

  8. [SPEAKER_00]: Praise the Lord, my crown, my crown.

  9. [SPEAKER_00]: Give me a second here.

  10. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

  11. [SPEAKER_00]: All right.

  12. [SPEAKER_00]: throw my hat in the ring, throw my hat in the ring.

  13. [SPEAKER_00]: This is no statement and old saying that had been said many, many years ago in 1805 there was an issue of a sporting magazine where a boxer had said out loud he was going to throw and even did.

  14. [SPEAKER_00]: He threw his hat in the ring.

  15. [SPEAKER_00]: If throwing his hat into the ring to defy his opponents and show his confidence

  16. [SPEAKER_00]: and see if he wanted to accept his challenge.

  17. [SPEAKER_00]: And so that was an 1805.

  18. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, what until 1810, 1810, a challenge presented was presented by an empire, by an empire, where different opponents had answered the call to the fight, finally.

  19. [SPEAKER_00]: They had thrown their hats back into the ring of took five years.

  20. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if it was just for a timidation that a man decided to throw his hat in the ring.

  21. [SPEAKER_00]: And finally, five years later, people started answering back a fact.

  22. [SPEAKER_00]: You're a few who had thrown their hats back in.

  23. [SPEAKER_00]: And they didn't ever say if the guy was beaten or not, my assumption is he was, but I have no idea.

  24. [SPEAKER_00]: But we do know that it became a very well-known statement of well-known saying throwing your hat to the ring of fact.

  25. [SPEAKER_00]: In 1865, this is where it really got extremely well-known.

  26. [SPEAKER_00]: It was 1865 PT Barnum.

  27. [SPEAKER_00]: used the idiom as to saying the idiom while literally throwing his top hat into the circus ring that he of course owned to represent his candidacy to become the Connecticut house of representatives then later on became a mayor in Bridgeport, Connecticut and others began to use this phrase and now is a common statement especially when it comes to political things and others are going to throw their hat into the ring and the title today's sermons hat in the ring, hat in the ring.

  28. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm not throwing my hat in the ring, so to speak, but I am a man of many hats.

  29. [SPEAKER_00]: In fact, today, I'm going to show you some of the hats that I wear.

  30. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to do that for you.

  31. [SPEAKER_00]: This is why I'm wearing a cat in the hat tie.

  32. [SPEAKER_00]: I had a dig for it.

  33. [SPEAKER_00]: Let me just tell you, but I'm wearing a cat in the hat.

  34. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't love cat in the hat.

  35. [SPEAKER_00]: It's one of my favorite books I own it and of course the card.

  36. [SPEAKER_00]: And which is not that good, really.

  37. [SPEAKER_00]: But I enjoy it and I hate the movie.

  38. [SPEAKER_00]: But either way, I have lots of different hats.

  39. [SPEAKER_00]: This is my old WWE F, you know, don't have the F on it.

  40. [SPEAKER_00]: It has an old WWE F hat.

  41. [SPEAKER_00]: I love it.

  42. [SPEAKER_00]: It represents a lot of my years of fandom and still does to a point of wrestling.

  43. [SPEAKER_00]: And I like it.

  44. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's a lot of fun.

  45. [SPEAKER_00]: This is a very important stop it.

  46. [SPEAKER_00]: This is a very, very important hat to me.

  47. [SPEAKER_00]: This is a half of it says if God says it is guaranteed, now God tip it to the side.

  48. [SPEAKER_00]: Cause this is the way my grandpa wore it.

  49. [SPEAKER_00]: This is a very important half of my grandpa wore.

  50. [SPEAKER_00]: Many, many, many times, he had two of them.

  51. [SPEAKER_00]: One was a red one, and he wore it so often every day.

  52. [SPEAKER_00]: If people would comment on it, that it wore out.

  53. [SPEAKER_00]: And he had to buy this one too.

  54. [SPEAKER_00]: And I gave it to my cousin Paul the red one.

  55. [SPEAKER_00]: And this one, I tried to wear a week ago or so.

  56. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe a couple weeks ago by now.

  57. [SPEAKER_00]: But this hat doesn't fit my head, because I got a big noggin.

  58. [SPEAKER_00]: It's hard to find has to fit my head.

  59. [SPEAKER_00]: You remember, I had the George Washington wig with it.

  60. [SPEAKER_00]: And I had some comments on that.

  61. [SPEAKER_00]: Because this is a patriotic month, and we've been using a lot of patriotic things, I ordered this as goofy looking, but I enjoyed it.

  62. [SPEAKER_00]: I ordered this this this this this this this this week.

  63. [SPEAKER_00]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

  64. [SPEAKER_00]: Mario, yes, there's lots of nice hats like that.

  65. [SPEAKER_00]: I wear lots of hats, but don't wear I got plenty that we're gonna wear throughout the experiment.

  66. [SPEAKER_00]: I know where lots of hats I know you're happy about that.

  67. [SPEAKER_00]: This here hat was my father's hat.

  68. [SPEAKER_00]: Preaching now, where he gets to preach, it's very valid that I wear this hat.

  69. [SPEAKER_00]: It didn't fit me by the way.

  70. [SPEAKER_00]: But I do love his hat.

  71. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a good hat.

  72. [SPEAKER_00]: My grandpa had one just like it.

  73. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't even care what they call it.

  74. [SPEAKER_00]: But you see a lot of people wearing these types of hats.

  75. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a good hat.

  76. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm a man of many hats.

  77. [SPEAKER_00]: And in fact, when I say that, it tells me you start trying on the hats and then talk.

  78. [SPEAKER_00]: But I am a son.

  79. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm a brother.

  80. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm a friend, and I'm an uncle.

  81. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm all sorts of things that lots of different people.

  82. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not only that, I'm a brother in Christ, and with being a brother in Christ, I am to many many people.

  83. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm a nephew, I'm a cousin, I'm a neighbor, and I'm a citizen.

  84. [SPEAKER_00]: There's lots of things that I used to be, too.

  85. [SPEAKER_00]: I used to be a grandson, I still am at a sense, but they're no longer around.

  86. [SPEAKER_00]: You speak grandson and a student.

  87. [SPEAKER_00]: A used to be a husband.

  88. [SPEAKER_00]: You speak Superman in the gym.

  89. [SPEAKER_00]: Still haven't once in a while.

  90. [SPEAKER_00]: I used to be a boy, friend.

  91. [SPEAKER_00]: I used to be in a pro A of several places.

  92. [SPEAKER_00]: Technically, I'm still in a pro A here, kind of sort of.

  93. [SPEAKER_00]: But it's a ministry.

  94. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's a little bit different, a little bit different.

  95. [SPEAKER_00]: But I still wear lots of hats, lots of lots of hats.

  96. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm a Christian witness, where I go, at least I try to be, but sometimes I have a lot to say in a hatch, by the way, but I had to choose one, this one, and this one I probably wear the most, my chief one, you know.

  97. [SPEAKER_00]: But I am a Christian witness, I'm a teacher, here in Senate School, I'm a pastor and I'm many other things.

  98. [SPEAKER_00]: So what does God say about hats or head coverings?

  99. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, let's take a look, let's take a look.

  100. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's take a look.

  101. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's now go to first Corinthians chapter 11, first Corinthians chapter 11 and we're going to read versus two.

1 Corinthians 11 chapter mention 1 Corinthians 11 chapter mention

  102. [SPEAKER_00]: Actually, I'm going to reverse one too because I like that.

  103. [SPEAKER_00]: But it's going to be verse one through 16.

  104. [SPEAKER_00]: Verse one says, follow me as I follow price.

  105. [SPEAKER_00]: This is Paul speaking, by the way.

  106. [SPEAKER_00]: And then says, talks about covering the head and worship.

  107. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I want you to understand, he's talking to people of Corinth, OK?

  108. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm going to put on this wonderful half.

  109. [SPEAKER_00]: I had specially made when I was doing a sermon and I forgot to put it on during it.

  110. [SPEAKER_00]: But this is a bakership.

  111. [SPEAKER_00]: And what I love about this has it says, Jesus is the bread of life.

  112. [SPEAKER_00]: And I forgot to wear it.

  113. [SPEAKER_00]: But this is, I have to wear it again some time, but Jesus says the bread of life.

  114. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I know I look extremely serious on wearing this, but let's now read it.

  115. [SPEAKER_00]: Chapter 11 of First Corinthians says, and some of this is being legitimate, some of this is a big figurative, but let's go into it.

  116. [SPEAKER_00]: Follow me as I follow Christ.

  117. [SPEAKER_00]: I praise you brothers that you remember in all things and keep the traditions

  118. [SPEAKER_00]: Listen to this, he took traditions, I delivered them to you as I delivered them to you.

  119. [SPEAKER_00]: But I would have you know that the head of the woman is the man, and the head of the man is Christ, and the head of Christ is God.

  120. [SPEAKER_00]: Remember that now, that's very true.

  121. [SPEAKER_00]: Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors the his head.

  122. [SPEAKER_00]: But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head on cover, dishonors her head.

  123. [SPEAKER_00]: For that is the same as if she were shaved.

  124. [SPEAKER_00]: For if the woman is not covered, let her also cut off her hair.

  125. [SPEAKER_00]: But if it is a shame for a woman to have her hair cut off or shave, let her be covered.

  126. [SPEAKER_00]: for a go on, any further?

  127. [SPEAKER_00]: What is it saying?

  128. [SPEAKER_00]: Is this saying that women need to have all your heads covered?

  129. [SPEAKER_00]: No, we'll talk about that, man.

  130. [SPEAKER_00]: This is being figurative.

  131. [SPEAKER_00]: It's being a spiritual illustration, not literal.

  132. [SPEAKER_00]: I want to explain it to you.

  133. [SPEAKER_00]: We once had a young lady here in the church who had her head covered all the time, and that's fine.

  134. [SPEAKER_00]: That's fine.

  135. [SPEAKER_00]: It's your own.

  136. [SPEAKER_00]: It bothered me.

  137. [SPEAKER_00]: They actually asked me, I told them that's putting you in the Lord, it's not a literal thing.

  138. [SPEAKER_00]: But it's fine, it's your own.

  139. [SPEAKER_00]: But not to look at other people saying you need to have your head cover.

  140. [SPEAKER_00]: There would be like me saying, John, he'd have a baker's head on because I do.

  141. [SPEAKER_00]: No, I think you look silly.

  142. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't, but you would.

  143. [SPEAKER_00]: That being said, listen to this now, verse 7, for a man indeed ought not to cover his head because he is the image and glory of God.

  144. [SPEAKER_00]: But the woman is the glory of the man.

  145. [SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm sure you've seen, maybe you've had it, when you've come into the church, and you might have had a baseball cap on or something.

  146. [SPEAKER_00]: For the sake of honor, it is good to take it off.

  147. [SPEAKER_00]: For the sake of honor.

  148. [SPEAKER_00]: But I've seen some men come up to another man and go look that off.

  149. [SPEAKER_00]: That's not Godly.

  150. [SPEAKER_00]: I've seen it happen.

  151. [SPEAKER_00]: And guess what's sometimes just happened?

  152. [SPEAKER_00]: Because of that, that young man has walked out of the church and never come back.

  153. [SPEAKER_00]: Because of the disrespect.

  154. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, the man might have met well.

  155. [SPEAKER_00]: He might have met well.

  156. [SPEAKER_00]: But that wasn't the right thing to do and it certainly wasn't the Godly way to do it.

  157. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's not how we do that.

  158. [SPEAKER_00]: It was the symbol that was being made here.

  159. [SPEAKER_00]: It says this because he's the image and glory of God, but the woman is the glory of the man.

  160. [SPEAKER_00]: Listen to this, the man is not from the woman, but the woman is from the man.

  161. [SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about when it was creation, okay?

  162. [SPEAKER_00]: The man was not created for the woman, but the woman for the man.

  163. [SPEAKER_00]: For this reason, the woman ought to have a veil of authority over her head because of the angels.

  164. [SPEAKER_00]: In other words, the angels, they were not the authority over us, but it's big, kind of represent angels here in this case.

  165. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so listen to this.

  166. [SPEAKER_00]: Nevertheless, neither is a manlessness, neither is the man without the woman, nor the woman without the man, in the Lord, in the Lord.

  167. [SPEAKER_00]: For just as the woman came from the man, so the man comes through the woman.

  168. [SPEAKER_00]: But all things come from God.

  169. [SPEAKER_00]: Listen this now, this is what people a lot of times don't hear.

  170. [SPEAKER_00]: Just for yourselves, is it proper for a woman to pray to God uncovered?

  171. [SPEAKER_00]: Does even nature itself not teach you that if a man has long hair,

  172. [SPEAKER_00]: It is a shame for him.

  173. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, that way, man, wait a minute.

  174. [SPEAKER_00]: There's some people have missed taking this.

  175. [SPEAKER_00]: To get on the hippies and others, you have long hair.

  176. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not getting on to you.

  177. [SPEAKER_00]: If you were a hippie and had long hair, I'm not getting on to you, man.

  178. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay?

  179. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not much for him because I'll be honest with you, but for lots of reasons, but this is okay if you have long hair.

  180. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not for me personally because I can't do it.

  181. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm a little jealous.

  182. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't have hair at all, but this whole thing doesn't mean that if a man has long hair, he's certainly not a god.

  183. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

  184. [SPEAKER_00]: This is also what people say.

  185. [SPEAKER_00]: Jesus had long hair.

  186. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, we don't know.

  187. [SPEAKER_00]: Just how long it's hair would.

  188. [SPEAKER_00]: But it was longer than what mine is because he had hair.

  189. [SPEAKER_00]: But that being said, let's not take this too far.

  190. [SPEAKER_00]: You need to be balanced in these things, okay?

  191. [SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, let's go on.

  192. [SPEAKER_00]: So it says, but if a woman has long hair, it is the glory to her.

  193. [SPEAKER_00]: For her hair is given for her, for a covering.

  194. [SPEAKER_00]: Now here we go, this is important, listen.

  195. [SPEAKER_00]: But if anyone seems to be contentious, that means argumentative, we have no such custom,

  196. [SPEAKER_00]: Listen to this again, we have no such custom for nor have the churches of God.

  197. [SPEAKER_00]: In other words, wearing a hat or having long hair is in the custom of God.

  198. [SPEAKER_00]: In other words, weak Christians, it doesn't make you an un-Christian if you come in without your hair covered.

  199. [SPEAKER_00]: Or if you're here as covered with a hat or a leg I'm not going to get on if you do I don't say take it off now.

  200. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you can show honor.

  201. [SPEAKER_00]: God take it off if you wish.

  202. [SPEAKER_00]: That's fine But anyway, we don't need to be argumented about the end.

  203. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

  204. [SPEAKER_00]: I say all that to say this how many hats how many hats do you wear?

  205. [SPEAKER_00]: Is it too many hats at once?

  206. [SPEAKER_00]: I bet you moments and daddy's a bet you feel that way.

  207. [SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna start with the men A man can sometimes be a father and as the same time where a hat as a brother

  208. [SPEAKER_00]: Here's an old cowboy hat I like.

  209. [SPEAKER_00]: This was gift to me from sisters news and actually it's a little too time.

  210. [SPEAKER_00]: But I like it.

  211. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you are a father, a brother, a grandfather, an uncle and a son, all the same time.

  212. [SPEAKER_00]: And yet you're also a brother, rice, all the same time.

  213. [SPEAKER_00]: You have these different hats, but that doesn't mean you're supposed to wear all these hats on the same head at the same time.

  214. [SPEAKER_00]: That's a different thing.

  215. [SPEAKER_00]: How about women?

  216. [SPEAKER_00]: Women can be a mother, a sister, a grandmother, and aunt, a daughter, and niece, all these things at the same time.

  217. [SPEAKER_00]: And also a sister in Christ.

  218. [SPEAKER_00]: But then there's other things that they both can be.

  219. [SPEAKER_00]: They can be a friend, a cousin, and a boy, a neighbor, a citizen, and with different passions and hobbies, and I say that because people do that.

  220. [SPEAKER_00]: And then also a proud pet guardian,

  221. [SPEAKER_00]: And then I don't put owner because boy, some people get weird about that.

  222. [SPEAKER_00]: And then so many other has they wear so many other has they wear.

  223. [SPEAKER_00]: And how do we keep our minds straight with so many hats how many how do we do that?

  224. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, let's look at Matthew six 33.

  225. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's look at Matthew six 33.

  226. [SPEAKER_00]: It says this.

  227. [SPEAKER_00]: It says

  228. [SPEAKER_00]: Matthew 633, but Seeky first, the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be given to you.

  229. [SPEAKER_00]: All these things shall be given to you.

  230. [SPEAKER_00]: This is my detective hat.

  231. [SPEAKER_00]: My Sherlock Holmes had a meeting that they used to call this a a beef eater hat, a beef eater hat.

  232. [SPEAKER_00]: I like him.

  233. [SPEAKER_00]: And then there's proper three, five and six.

  234. [SPEAKER_00]: Robert Street, five and six, trust in the Lord with all your heart and lead not to an own understanding in all your ways and knowledge him and he will direct your paths.

  235. [SPEAKER_00]: He will direct your paths.

  236. [SPEAKER_00]: Now I like this hat, this hat doesn't say what you think it says.

  237. [SPEAKER_00]: I love it.

  238. [SPEAKER_00]: I wear a conicalsion.

  239. [SPEAKER_00]: I get so many looks when I wear this hat.

  240. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I don't know why.

  241. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not really sure.

  242. [SPEAKER_00]: I put on this hat and people look at me and say, oh, I love it.

  243. [SPEAKER_00]: Now that people say, I hate you, got to never.

  244. [SPEAKER_00]: I have all sorts of things.

  245. [SPEAKER_00]: But it doesn't say what you think it says.

  246. [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't say make America great again.

  247. [SPEAKER_00]: By the way, what's wrong with making America great again?

  248. [SPEAKER_00]: I have no idea.

  249. [SPEAKER_00]: Not sure.

  250. [SPEAKER_00]: But the truth is, it doesn't say that.

  251. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what I says?

  252. [SPEAKER_00]: If you look at it, it re-close.

  253. [SPEAKER_00]: It says,

  254. [SPEAKER_00]: make America golly again make America golly again.

  255. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what this has says and we should make America golly again.

  256. [SPEAKER_00]: Now I can understand why some people don't understand that but that's what this has says I'm proud of it.

  257. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't care what people think but then there's another hat I like what I'll get to that in a minute.

  258. [SPEAKER_00]: But if you had a main hat on your head, a main hat on your head, what hat would it be?

  259. [SPEAKER_00]: Because I know some people who have many, many hats.

  260. [SPEAKER_00]: And there's some people who have one main hat that they would wear all the time.

  261. [SPEAKER_00]: What would your hat be?

  262. [SPEAKER_00]: What hat would represent you?

  263. [SPEAKER_00]: One of my favorite films, and it's really a film series.

  264. [SPEAKER_00]: But one of my favorite films is Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the All Star.

  265. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I love it.

  266. [SPEAKER_00]: I love it.

  267. [SPEAKER_00]: And when you think of that character, you probably think of one hat, one hat only.

  268. [SPEAKER_00]: It's from 1981, and I went out so at seven times when I have to theater.

  269. [SPEAKER_00]: Five times from my grandma alone, and I love that hat.

  270. [SPEAKER_00]: I was on the floor where it came out, but boy, I loved it.

  271. [SPEAKER_00]: My grandma took us boys out, we started again and again.

  272. [SPEAKER_00]: We re-enacted it.

  273. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how many times.

  274. [SPEAKER_00]: So we had the toys still do, and some of them.

  275. [SPEAKER_00]: There was one figure though, I haven't.

  276. [SPEAKER_00]: But it didn't come with the hat because it'd be lost so easily.

  277. [SPEAKER_00]: Without the hat, it didn't look like Indiana Jones quite frankly.

  278. [SPEAKER_00]: It didn't look that much like in many ways.

  279. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not talking about the original one.

  280. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking about from the second movie.

  281. [SPEAKER_00]: L.J.

  282. [SPEAKER_00]: and made it.

  283. [SPEAKER_00]: Not very good.

  284. [SPEAKER_00]: But the truth is, without us hat, it doesn't seem like him.

  285. [SPEAKER_00]: To be honest, in Radies of the Lost Ark, I'm not talking about the other films.

  286. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking about the first film.

  287. [SPEAKER_00]: Radies of the Lost Ark.

  288. [SPEAKER_00]: We know him with this Australian fedora.

  289. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what it is, an Australian fedora.

  290. [SPEAKER_00]: Most people know him with this hat on.

  291. [SPEAKER_00]: And I love it.

  292. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I love this hat.

  293. [SPEAKER_00]: It gets hot, but it's a nice hat.

  294. [SPEAKER_00]: The truth is, we all know him with this hat.

  295. [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't seem right if he doesn't have it.

  296. [SPEAKER_00]: And jokingly, when he was making one of the films, he was trying to staple it on a seven.

  297. [SPEAKER_00]: He's making it.

  298. [SPEAKER_00]: But the truth is, in that first film alone, he had two followers.

  299. [SPEAKER_00]: He had this hat, he had one at the end, which is kind of a grayish adora.

  300. [SPEAKER_00]: He also had a turban that he wore for just a little while and he had a German soldier hat.

  301. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that should say the name because people think there's a curse word though it's not, but,

  302. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a Nazi hat, let's just be honest.

  303. [SPEAKER_00]: It's what it was.

  304. [SPEAKER_00]: And he had several hats.

  305. [SPEAKER_00]: But that's not what we think of.

  306. [SPEAKER_00]: He also was a teacher for a while with a bowed time, glasses, it's not a hat, but look there.

  307. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, he was all these things.

  308. [SPEAKER_00]: But this is what we think of when we think of any other Jones.

  309. [SPEAKER_00]: This is what he looked like.

  310. [SPEAKER_00]: This is main look, his main hat.

  311. [SPEAKER_00]: What represents you in your life?

  312. [SPEAKER_00]: What hat, if you had a hat to represent you, what would it be?

  313. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm not necessarily talking literally.

  314. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking in your Christian life.

  315. [SPEAKER_00]: What would represent you if people knew you?

  316. [SPEAKER_00]: What would you not look right without?

  317. [SPEAKER_00]: Or do you look right?

  318. [SPEAKER_00]: And by that I mean, Christ like with it?

  319. [SPEAKER_00]: Because there's some people who think that they represent Christ, yet they're wearing has that should not represent Christ.

  320. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm talking about things they say and do.

  321. [SPEAKER_00]: And I think we can all look at ourselves and say this sometimes.

  322. [SPEAKER_00]: It says in first Peter, three, eight, finally, be all of one mind, be loving toward one another, be gracious and be kind.

  323. [SPEAKER_00]: It could very well be there's times that we're not as Christ like as we ought to be.

  324. [SPEAKER_00]: And our hat is not represented him like he should.

  325. [SPEAKER_00]: The next part we're gonna talk about is being very careful of following false hats that we think represent price and don't.

  326. [SPEAKER_00]: There are a lot of people that wear false hats.

  327. [SPEAKER_00]: And we shouldn't fall for it so easily.

  328. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna tell you a little story and it's very embarrassing.

  329. [SPEAKER_00]: But I'm gonna tell you.

  330. [SPEAKER_00]: A year ago, my best friend Seth, he was admiring my hat, my Indiana Jones hat.

  331. [SPEAKER_00]: And he said he wanted one.

  332. [SPEAKER_00]: and his birthday was coming up.

  333. [SPEAKER_00]: So I said, all over you one, no problem, brother.

  334. [SPEAKER_00]: All over you, and Indiana Jones hat and so I did.

  335. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, something happened.

  336. [SPEAKER_00]: I ordered him a hat on the internet.

  337. [SPEAKER_00]: They had the exact same picture from the place I ordered it.

  338. [SPEAKER_00]: But they said I would say 20 bucks.

  339. [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, sounds good.

  340. [SPEAKER_00]: I heard the spirit, if you will, of his dad and my dad, hey, save somebody.

  341. [SPEAKER_00]: So we were all, I was all excited about that, but then it came in.

  342. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's just say, this hat, it's not to say, it's okay to laugh, this hat is not the same kind of hat.

  343. [SPEAKER_00]: It looks like a hillbilly hat.

  344. [SPEAKER_00]: This is not $60 worth of a hat, but that's what I paid.

  345. [SPEAKER_00]: And amazingly enough, when it came in, there address just went off the internet.

  346. [SPEAKER_00]: Couldn't find it, any of the moments came in it was gone.

  347. [SPEAKER_00]: To my money back, but I remember saying to Seth and saying to my mom and other sister Susan, I'm never saying to all of them, I'm going to get a serving out of this.

  348. [SPEAKER_00]: And I am right now.

  349. [SPEAKER_00]: But this was how the sermon started about, being careful of what you order, being careful of people saying they're of God, thinking they're of Christ.

  350. [SPEAKER_00]: Now I ask you, does this look the same as this?

  351. [SPEAKER_00]: I thought it saved me 20 bucks, I had to order another hat to get the real deal.

  352. [SPEAKER_00]: The point is this, this does not represent Christ either.

  353. [SPEAKER_00]: This is not real, I hate it, I hate it.

  354. [SPEAKER_00]: And this thing comes also easily, I look like a hillbilly now.

  355. [SPEAKER_00]: My point is, many Christians, many Christians think they represent Christ, they think they're going out and doing everything just because they have a hat on.

  356. [SPEAKER_00]: Let me just tell you something, your hat needs represent Jesus.

  357. [SPEAKER_00]: So we sometimes make huge mistakes.

  358. [SPEAKER_00]: We make huge mistakes, but we need to be careful about putting on stupid false hats of Christ each and every day.

  359. [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of times, just people out there putting on false doctrine.

  360. [SPEAKER_00]: We need to be careful.

  361. [SPEAKER_00]: We need to know the word of God.

  362. [SPEAKER_00]: We need to know it well.

  363. [SPEAKER_00]: No, when you're hearing false doctrine, know the word.

  364. [SPEAKER_00]: So that when people tell you false doctrine, you recognize the false doctrine.

  365. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not wearing that anymore.

  366. [SPEAKER_00]: We need to know that's the first and last time I'm going to wear that because I can't handle it anymore.

  367. [SPEAKER_00]: Then we need to know false preachers when we hear false preachers.

  368. [SPEAKER_00]: We need to know false leaders when we see false leaders with their big buck teeth.

  369. [SPEAKER_00]: We need to know that.

  370. [SPEAKER_00]: We need to know false loves when we meet false.

  371. [SPEAKER_00]: So as I fall for false love for far.

  372. [SPEAKER_00]: too many times who've done it because they tell us they just sound real, but they're not real.

  373. [SPEAKER_00]: Look at that hat and no, you know when you see it, but sometimes you want to lie to yourself because you want it so bad that you're willing to fall for the falsities, the for the lies, have it false riches, false riches.

  374. [SPEAKER_00]: You want a real gold necklace, a real gold bit, folks.

  375. [SPEAKER_00]: Go to Israel.

  376. [SPEAKER_00]: Go to these places where they have these people after trying to sell that.

  377. [SPEAKER_00]: It's real gold.

  378. [SPEAKER_00]: You put it on your fingers become green.

  379. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, people do that with God's supposed to truth.

  380. [SPEAKER_00]: False futures, false gods.

  381. [SPEAKER_00]: We were talking about the false gods recently.

  382. [SPEAKER_00]: All the false gods throughout Rome throughout Greece throughout all the ESE even in Israel throughout all these places that they caught.

  383. [SPEAKER_00]: These were the demons.

  384. [SPEAKER_00]: They want to lead you to death, making you believe that you're

  385. [SPEAKER_00]: First Corinthians 1433, it says the first Corinthians 1433, for God is not the author of false confusion, but of peace as in all churches and of the saints.

  386. [SPEAKER_00]: It says, in Proverbs 10, verse 9,

    Proverbs 10:9

  387. [SPEAKER_00]: He who walks up rightly, walks surely, but he who perverts his ways will be known.

  388. [SPEAKER_00]: Now I like this hat.

  389. [SPEAKER_00]: Just hat belonged to my great grandfather.

  390. [SPEAKER_00]: He, he built, he wore this hat as he helped build my grandma's house.

  391. [SPEAKER_00]: His name was Fred King, it was a excuse me, Robert King.

  392. [SPEAKER_00]: So I wear this with pride.

  393. [SPEAKER_00]: Proverbs 11-3, the integrity of the upright will guide them.

  394. [SPEAKER_00]: But the perseverance of transgressors will destroy them.

  395. [SPEAKER_00]: So you need to know the truth, know when you hear it, know when you see it, and follow the Lord, not the false doctor, and the false preachers, the false teachers, the false leaders, false ridges, and false futures, the false gods.

  396. [SPEAKER_00]: Here's the thing, the devil's smart.

  397. [SPEAKER_00]: He's a trickster.

  398. [SPEAKER_00]: He knows to tell you a little bit of truth and a lot of inner life so that you'll hear a little bit that sounds right, but the most of it's wrong.

  399. [SPEAKER_00]: And you need to know it by knowing God's word, knowing what you see, knowing what you hear.

  400. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, my grandpa was a truck driver.

  401. [SPEAKER_00]: And he worked for a wonderful little trucking company.

  402. [SPEAKER_00]: I got to hold this down.

  403. [SPEAKER_00]: He worked for a little trucking company at Gordon's.

  404. [SPEAKER_00]: And he worked this for many, many years, many, many years.

  405. [SPEAKER_00]: I love this attitude, because what it represents.

  406. [SPEAKER_00]: Then fit my head too very well, but that's okay, because it fits my heart very well.

  407. [SPEAKER_00]: But what you need to be more than anything else is a soldier of God.

  408. [SPEAKER_00]: So I love this hat.

  409. [SPEAKER_00]: And I love it, I love that hat, but do you know what?

  410. [SPEAKER_00]: When you're a part of God's army, you have to have the everlasting hat.

  411. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not just a hat, it's a helmet.

  412. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a helmet, the helmet of salvation, the helmet of salvation, and it's a protection against the enemy.

  413. [SPEAKER_00]: And I wear this once in a while.

  414. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna tell you something, it's not comfortable.

  415. [SPEAKER_00]: It's really not comfortable at all, but I wear it today.

  416. [SPEAKER_00]: This is the helmet of salvation.

  417. [SPEAKER_00]: This is exactly what it's been spoken about, give my glasses in there.

  418. [SPEAKER_00]: This is exactly what's been spoken about in the Word of God.

  419. [SPEAKER_00]: And we need to make sure that we have the homosexualization all the time.

  420. [SPEAKER_00]: We need to wear it constantly.

  421. [SPEAKER_00]: Wear this against the enemy.

  422. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's see what it says in Philippians 1, 9 through 10.

  423. [SPEAKER_00]: And I pray this that you, that your love may have bound, yet more and more in knowledge and in all discernment, that you may prove things that are excellent so that you may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.

  424. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's now turn to James chapter 3, 13 through 18.

    James 3 chapter mention

  425. [SPEAKER_00]: What does it say?

  426. [SPEAKER_00]: It says in James 3, 13, 13, 13, 18, he who is wise and understanding among you like him show his works by his good life and weakness of wisdom.

  427. [SPEAKER_00]: But if you have bitter inving and strife in your hearts, do not boast and do not lie against the truth.

  428. [SPEAKER_00]: This wisdom descends not among above,

  429. [SPEAKER_00]: but is earthly, unspirous and devilish.

  430. [SPEAKER_00]: For where there is envy and strife, there is confusion and every evil work.

  431. [SPEAKER_00]: But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, the impeccable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy,

  432. [SPEAKER_00]: and good fruits without partiality and without hypocrisy.

  433. [SPEAKER_00]: And the fruit of righteousness is sewn in peace by those who make peace.

  434. [SPEAKER_00]: Or to be peaceful people, but know, and that's what the people of this world, but know that the enemy is Satan.

  435. [SPEAKER_00]: And he wants to destroy you, but if you're not wearing the Helmysoundation, he wants definitely to destroy you by your witness and by the people in your life.

  436. [SPEAKER_00]: So there are other hats I could put on, but I'm not going to put them all on.

  437. [SPEAKER_00]: There is another helmet that I could wear.

  438. [SPEAKER_00]: I will try to put it on for a split second.

  439. [SPEAKER_00]: I wear this occasionally.

  440. [SPEAKER_00]: This is a helmet of the dark side.

  441. [SPEAKER_00]: Usually comes with a mask.

  442. [SPEAKER_00]: And then this is my favorite cowboy hat.

  443. [SPEAKER_00]: This cowboy hat goes to my favorite movie, Lone some dove.

  444. [SPEAKER_00]: I love this cowboy hat.

  445. [SPEAKER_00]: makes me talk like a this is a great.

  446. [SPEAKER_00]: I love this hat, but the last part is it going to be talking about hats.

  447. [SPEAKER_00]: It's going to talk about crowns.

  448. [SPEAKER_00]: Your crown and heaven.

  449. [SPEAKER_00]: Because when you get to heaven, there's going to be a crown.

  450. [SPEAKER_00]: Now these are really crowns.

  451. [SPEAKER_00]: It speaks about five.

  452. [SPEAKER_00]: There's five crowns in heaven that we're going to speak about.

  453. [SPEAKER_00]: What is your crown and heaven?

  454. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, let's talk about that.

  455. [SPEAKER_00]: This is called the imperishable crown.

  456. [SPEAKER_00]: So let me grab a crown.

  457. [SPEAKER_00]: Now I took me a while to find some crowns.

  458. [SPEAKER_00]: I had to send out form.

  459. [SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, where am I going to get some crowns?

  460. [SPEAKER_00]: So I had to go to a very impossible place to find them.

  461. [SPEAKER_00]: And this was the only place that could find crowns for sale.

  462. [SPEAKER_00]: So no, okay.

  463. [SPEAKER_00]: So the first one is the imperishable crown.

  464. [SPEAKER_00]: It says in 1st Corinthians 9, 24-25, now try to take me seriously.

  465. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm wearing this wonderful crown.

  466. [SPEAKER_00]: It says, do you not know that all those who run in a race run?

  467. [SPEAKER_00]: But one receives a prize.

  468. [SPEAKER_00]: So run that you may obtain it.

  469. [SPEAKER_00]: Everyone who strives for the prize exercises self-control in all things.

  470. [SPEAKER_00]: Now they do it to obtain a corrupt double crown.

  471. [SPEAKER_00]: but we and incorruptible one.

  472. [SPEAKER_00]: Now what crown are they talking about?

  473. [SPEAKER_00]: The corruptible crown.

  474. [SPEAKER_00]: Back then, they would give you a crown.

  475. [SPEAKER_00]: Usually, they made of leaves and things like that.

  476. [SPEAKER_00]: They were going to fall apart.

  477. [SPEAKER_00]: But the crown that we're going after is any turn on everlasting crown in heaven.

  478. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what they're talking about, okay?

  479. [SPEAKER_00]: The things that people want here on earth, okay, they're nice.

  480. [SPEAKER_00]: I can see those things wonderful.

  481. [SPEAKER_00]: Here's the problem.

  482. [SPEAKER_00]: Those things are going to fall apart.

  483. [SPEAKER_00]: But the crown that God gives you will go on forever and ever and ever and never fall apart.

  484. [SPEAKER_00]: The next crown that is talked about,

  485. [SPEAKER_00]: If the crown of rejoicing, this crown, we find, and first Thessalonians 2019, the crown of rejoicing.

  486. [SPEAKER_00]: For what is our hope or joy or crown of rejoicing?

  487. [SPEAKER_00]: Will it not even be you in the presence of our Lord, Jesus Christ, at His coming?

  488. [SPEAKER_00]: It's crown of rejoicing.

  489. [SPEAKER_00]: You're gonna receive that crown.

  490. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know about you, but I am really looking forward to receiving the crown from the Lord God.

  491. [SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be wonderful.

  492. [SPEAKER_00]: What other crowns will we receive?

  493. [SPEAKER_00]: The crown of righteousness.

  494. [SPEAKER_00]: The crown of righteousness.

  495. [SPEAKER_00]: Second Timothy, for eight.

  496. [SPEAKER_00]: Second Timothy 4x says, from now on, a crown of righteousness is laid up for me.

  497. [SPEAKER_00]: Winston Lord, the righteous judge will give me on that day and not only to me, but also to all who have loved his appearing.

  498. [SPEAKER_00]: You have a crown of righteousness awaiting for you.

  499. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm sure you've heard different things said about when you receive your crown, they'll be stars and diamonds and many of things.

  500. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure we all have these things up coming.

  501. [SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to him.

  502. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm looking forward to seeing what the Lord God does.

  503. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I don't know if it's all literal when he says that.

  504. [SPEAKER_00]: I doubt it, but I know that's going to be wonderful.

  505. [SPEAKER_00]: And there's another crown too.

  506. [SPEAKER_00]: And that is the crown of glory.

  507. [SPEAKER_00]: First Peter 5-4.

  508. [SPEAKER_00]: first Peter 5 for the crown of glory.

  509. [SPEAKER_00]: And when the chief shepherd appears, you receive a crown of glory.

  510. [SPEAKER_00]: That will not fade away.

  511. [SPEAKER_00]: You see, it's not gonna fade away.

  512. [SPEAKER_00]: You're gonna have a crown of glory forever and ever, never to fade away.

  513. [SPEAKER_00]: Hallelujah, a crown of glory.

  514. [SPEAKER_00]: One more, one more crown.

  515. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, is it going to be crown or crowns that we have to stack up on each other?

  516. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I do know this, that might seem like it's heavy, and you might say, how's that going to happen?

  517. [SPEAKER_00]: Folks, you're not going to have to worry about it.

  518. [SPEAKER_00]: These are spiritual crowns.

  519. [SPEAKER_00]: Wonderful crowns.

  520. [SPEAKER_00]: One last one, the crown of life, revelations to 10, revelations to 10, the crown of life.

  521. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's say what it says, do not fear of those things, what you are about to suffer.

  522. [SPEAKER_00]: Now those people who are gonna be here at that time, they suffer a lot.

  523. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think you're gonna have to worry about that.

  524. [SPEAKER_00]: Just so you know.

  525. [SPEAKER_00]: But let's say what it says.

  526. [SPEAKER_00]: Do not fear any of those things what you are about to suffer.

  527. [SPEAKER_00]: Look, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison.

  528. [SPEAKER_00]: that you may be tried.

  529. [SPEAKER_00]: And you will have tribulation for 10 days, be faithful unto death.

  530. [SPEAKER_00]: And I will give you what, the crown of life.

  531. [SPEAKER_00]: If you stop in everlasting life, you're gonna have the crown of life.

  532. [SPEAKER_00]: You already have that.

  533. [SPEAKER_00]: You guys have the crown of life.

  534. [SPEAKER_00]: You guys don't have to be concerned at all.

  535. [SPEAKER_00]: Dear Christian brother, you already have what?

  536. [SPEAKER_00]: The crown of life.

  537. [SPEAKER_00]: It can't be taken from you.

  538. [SPEAKER_00]: Nothing can take it from you.

  539. [SPEAKER_00]: Nothing at all.

  540. [SPEAKER_00]: So the last thing I have to ask you is this.

  541. [SPEAKER_00]: which hat do you do you throw into the ring of your life today?

  542. [SPEAKER_00]: When you wake up in the morning and we all do when you wake up in the morning and you have to throw a hat into the ring knowing you have another day to take on another day which is a hat you throw into that ring knowing that you have to go out there and take another day and you might have all sorts of hats you throw into it.

  543. [SPEAKER_00]: It could be a parting hat.

  544. [SPEAKER_00]: It could be a work hat.

  545. [SPEAKER_00]: It could be family hat or family hats, and there's different hats for different members.

  546. [SPEAKER_00]: It could be a friend hat, a social hat.

  547. [SPEAKER_00]: It could be all of them, sports hat, fan hat, a safety hat or a helmet, depending on where you work.

  548. [SPEAKER_00]: It could be a safety hat to keep everyone away from you.

  549. [SPEAKER_00]: Everyone away from hurting you, because you've been her before.

  550. [SPEAKER_00]: And you're afraid of people hurting you.

  551. [SPEAKER_00]: I suggest that you go to the Lord and let him help you with that,

  552. [SPEAKER_00]: God is with you, and he will be your protector.

  553. [SPEAKER_00]: You don't need to keep yourself from people anymore.

  554. [SPEAKER_00]: We all have many, many, many hats.

  555. [SPEAKER_00]: And which is your main hat to throw into the ring of life?

  556. [SPEAKER_00]: I dare say to you that right now you have two things to think of.

  557. [SPEAKER_00]: You have the helmet of salvation, which will never fail you.

  558. [SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to worry about it.

  559. [SPEAKER_00]: You are in the army of the Lord.

  560. [SPEAKER_00]: And you have those five crowns that you will have in glory.

  561. [SPEAKER_00]: Those five crowns.

  562. [SPEAKER_00]: And as we close you today, as we get prepared to go to the meal, let me read to you, Philippians.

  563. [SPEAKER_00]: Chapter 4, verses 4 through 7.

  564. [SPEAKER_00]: Remember this, I mentioned you wanna go a party at.

  565. [SPEAKER_00]: Do you remember when you were young?

  566. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you didn't have money, maybe you did.

  567. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe your mama threw you a birthday party.

  568. [SPEAKER_00]: And you had all those little party hats.

  569. [SPEAKER_00]: You remember how they looked like, they'll keep those things.

  570. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you're in school and you made your own party hat.

  571. [SPEAKER_00]: Remember people do that kind of stuff with a little paper, construction paper, and stuff.

  572. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe a little happy face on it.
