[SPEAKER_00]: while you're doing that, let's turn to the book of Matthew.

[SPEAKER_00]: What's the first book of the Newcastle?

[SPEAKER_00]: Book of Matthew, chapter 6, verse 26.

Matthew 6:26

[SPEAKER_00]: When you hear the word value, what do you think of?

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the word value used to be on different stores and things like that.

[SPEAKER_00]: You might remember.

[SPEAKER_00]: But,

[SPEAKER_00]: and they'd have best value and all those things.

[SPEAKER_00]: You remember, they had different things like that.

[SPEAKER_00]: But the word value means what you deserve.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's what you deserve, what is your value?

[SPEAKER_00]: Some people may ask, what is your worth?

[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes the word value means moral significance, moral values.

[SPEAKER_00]: What is your moral values?

[SPEAKER_00]: What are your principles, in other words?

[SPEAKER_00]: What is your values?

[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes we monitor your value.

[SPEAKER_00]: What is the price to this?

[SPEAKER_00]: That's why prices go up on some things.

[SPEAKER_00]: If they think, what is the value to it?

[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes they do it just because they want more, more, more, more, more, more.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're greedy.

[SPEAKER_00]: But it's amazing the prices of things.

[SPEAKER_00]: It changes sometimes, you can understand why.

[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes not.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's just it jerks to put it bluntly and frankly.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's amazing eBay, you know, there was once upon a time you could go on eBay and find things of yesterday and you could get a lot of things from yesterday for a pretty good price.

[SPEAKER_00]: Nowadays, they think they have gold, a piece of plastic that was formed to look like Han Solo in 1977 and one point of time that's like, oh hey, you can get there for $7 and like, oh cool or $8 or whatever, now they're like, hey, that's worth $77.

[SPEAKER_00]: Come on, just come out and I can say 77 doesn't mean that you should, uh, technically 70, but you should, doesn't mean that you, you should spend, uh, charge that kind of money for it.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's a piece of plastic.

[SPEAKER_00]: Come on.

[SPEAKER_00]: Or have about this.

[SPEAKER_00]: You guys who read a little books in school of, uh, was a dick of Jane.

[SPEAKER_00]: or whatever they try to charge after the ear drum for that stuff.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's a whole lot of cash for a book that's because oh, and they're nice to realize books but folks, you can get reprints of them.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it had people over.

[SPEAKER_00]: I want the very first one.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, that's cool.

[SPEAKER_00]: I guess you know, but I don't, I've seen people who rebooks in the clip books.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's cool.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's great.

[SPEAKER_00]: I collect a lot of stupid stuff too.

[SPEAKER_00]: But here's the thing about that.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing wrong with it.

[SPEAKER_00]: But here's the problem when they're like, oh, but I can't just have the book.

[SPEAKER_00]: I have to have the first edition.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why?

[SPEAKER_00]: It's the book.

[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't back.

[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, people get weird about things, but that's fine.

[SPEAKER_00]: So what is the value we talked about?

[SPEAKER_00]: So let's take a look at prices and values.

[SPEAKER_00]: The first part we're going to go to.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's a little different than we usually do.

[SPEAKER_00]: But we're going to take a look at different things.

[SPEAKER_00]: Prices and values that change or have changed.

[SPEAKER_00]: All I have has to is inflation.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I was trying to think of how we're gonna do this because we could go way back and we're not gonna do that.

[SPEAKER_00]: We will mostly go back 50 years because I just became 50.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it doesn't seem like a long time but it is.

[SPEAKER_00]: So 50 years from then and now we're gonna take a look at some of these processes.

[SPEAKER_00]: So we're gonna look at,

[SPEAKER_00]: $5.76 is now worth, believe it or not, $29.34.

[SPEAKER_00]: So what was $5.00 in is now nearly 30 bucks.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that was down in 2006.

[SPEAKER_00]: Inflation rate is roughly 486.8.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now in that stupid, in that ridiculous, this is crazy.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's the stuff they do.

[SPEAKER_00]: So in 1916, let me grab my bag here, that I received from my birthday,

[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see where to put that.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's in here.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh no, it's right here.

[SPEAKER_00]: In 1916.

[SPEAKER_00]: This was a 1994 version when I just graduated my dad gave it to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: We went to Arkansas and he bought this because he was born in Arkansas and on the back there's a raise your back, you know, a little raise your backs, and in 1994, they had changed the bottle be a smidge bigger, but in 1916, Coca-Cola introduced their product.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was a 6.5 ounce bottles.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you might say, oh, they came out longer and

[SPEAKER_00]: They came out in the bottles in the six-hounds bottle, six-point-five-ounce bottle, in 1916.

[SPEAKER_00]: It went to 1993 that they came out and slightly bigger went to eight-hounds.

[SPEAKER_00]: But when I first came out there, five-since their bottles were.

[SPEAKER_00]: My father cracked me up because he's talking in this little audio thing that I asked me to do and he did for it's all of his family.

[SPEAKER_00]: a bottle for a dime.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he talked about whenever, because, you know, they've gone up a little bit.

[SPEAKER_00]: So he was talking about, he used to be able to get some money from his aunt just to go down and get her, get her, her stuff for her groceries and he should give him a dime.

[SPEAKER_00]: All right, it's not to give more.

[SPEAKER_00]: But he said that he was really upset.

[SPEAKER_00]: really upset because it went up a whole penny, what if the level says and he said it was scandalous is what he said.

[SPEAKER_00]: A scandalous said that they went up a whole penny.

[SPEAKER_00]: But he's talked about that in prices.

[SPEAKER_00]: Go up and go up.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know that.

[SPEAKER_00]: So how much are they now?

[SPEAKER_00]: And 2,000, 26, about 250 for eight ounces, about 250.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, some of them are more, sometimes less, but usually not.

[SPEAKER_00]: I use about 250, and I'm being kind.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then there was the Hershey bar.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Hershey bar in 1900, that was exactly the way it came out, was five cents, a $2,26, about $2.

[SPEAKER_00]: In that crazy, and you get about the same amount sometimes.

[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes, you know, you see them, you know, you see what they do.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're a little thinner.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they're like, I say, they'll just say about, well, let's be honest.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, but then in June of 1979, McDonald's came out with a happy meal.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was introduced for a dollar 10 and 206, it's usually 429 and for some depending on what kind of half mix they got several kinds of 729.

[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, now the granite, the toys are nicer and not little pieces of rubber alien and stuff, but still, uh, then in 1992, McDonald's introduced the extra value meal.

[SPEAKER_00]: That was a right before I joined, I joined on around that time and, uh, just a little bit later.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, about that time I became, oh, yeah, I just started working there and, uh, how much were they?

[SPEAKER_00]: $2.95 $2.99 for one or two things, but it was $2.95 and 1993 they had the Dino size because of dress apart and then it changed to super size and 94 in fact I looked for it, I know I have it might be my office but I have a pin that says super size, I got made fun of for wearing that.

[SPEAKER_00]: because people said, is that a self-habvertisement?

[SPEAKER_00]: That wasn't very nice, wasn't?

[SPEAKER_00]: But either way, that was, how was it?

[SPEAKER_00]: How much was it?

[SPEAKER_00]: It was 39 cents just to simply enlarge your fries and enlarge your drink.

[SPEAKER_00]: 39 cents nowadays, 206, the extra value meals they have again are between $10 and $15.

[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, that's something in it.

[SPEAKER_00]: and sometimes more.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so, in 1976, what a great year, 50 years ago, your premium blue jeans, and I'm not going to go through all the brand names, premium blue jeans, that means the best, the best.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're about 20 bucks.

[SPEAKER_00]: At 2020, six to premium are between 150 to 250, they say, and that's the premium.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's the big brands.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, there are some that go even higher than that to be honest with you.

[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, then you got shoes shoes.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is regular shoes were about $11 to $19.

[SPEAKER_00]: And in 1976, in 2006, this regular shoes were about 60 to 20, 60 and 150.

[SPEAKER_00]: And there's something to go with.

[SPEAKER_00]: Ha ha ha more.

[SPEAKER_00]: You get in a Nike assess.

[SPEAKER_00]: Say sometimes go up to 200, 300, 400.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's something.

[SPEAKER_00]: Then you got forward in 1976, the Ford 150.

[SPEAKER_00]: uh... was brand new about four thousand dollars two hundred and thirty five dollars four thousand thirty five dollars can you imagine

[SPEAKER_00]: That just makes you sick.

[SPEAKER_00]: When you think about a car nowadays, the Ford is about $39,585.

[SPEAKER_00]: So that's changed act.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's been 50 years.

[SPEAKER_00]: Milk in 1976, I know him is strange.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going through all this, but it just shows you how things inflate, things change.

[SPEAKER_00]: Milk in 1976 was a daughter 60.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is a fur gallon.

[SPEAKER_00]: And in 2006, usually about 431, sometimes more.

[SPEAKER_00]: sometimes, you know, where you go some nice less movie tickets in 1976, where this was at night, it was about 2-13, depending on where you went, and depending on where you were, the average in 2006 is between $13 and $16, depending on what you see, what you see, and how you see it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, then create all the crayons box, there's 45 colors, or 45 cents.

[SPEAKER_00]: So each crayon was opinion now, 2026 for 24, they've gone down.

[SPEAKER_00]: See, they give you less colors.

[SPEAKER_00]: So 24 box is $1.50.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm just telling you, you pay more and you get less.

[SPEAKER_00]: Isn't that something?

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so then you get the moon pie.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is why I did this for you.

[SPEAKER_00]: I went searching everywhere for a regular size moon pie.

[SPEAKER_00]: Do you know the only place to sell it and they were close to go to it?

[SPEAKER_00]: The only place that had it, they said they had a dollar general, oh, I, they said they had it Walmart, oh, I.

[SPEAKER_00]: They said they had it at quick trip, oh, I, they, the only place they said they definitely have it is a cracker barrel.

[SPEAKER_00]: because they're trying to have it in the old wrapping.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was closed, and I wasn't gonna go to crack a real just for a moon pie, I apologize.

[SPEAKER_00]: But they have the moon pie back then, when it first came out, and when was that?

[SPEAKER_00]: The moon pie came out for five cents.

[SPEAKER_00]: Long time ago, and I forgot to put the year down so I can't recall, but it was way back when.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that moon pie was big, very big, and it was a long time ago, and now in 2026, it's between a dollar and a dollar 50,

[SPEAKER_00]: These are about 50 cents and these are the mini-moon pies.

[SPEAKER_00]: So these, they've gone down from being out this size to this size for more money.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is so you know, that's way things are now.

[SPEAKER_00]: We go down in size.

[SPEAKER_00]: One last thing I'm going to tell you about.

[SPEAKER_00]: One last thing, and notice I had to put it in a treasure chest.

[SPEAKER_00]: I had to put in a treasure chest because it's treasure to me, but also because I'm trying to keep it safe.

[SPEAKER_00]: One last thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to go to well-known two things.

[SPEAKER_00]: comment looks.

[SPEAKER_00]: Comment looks now granite they used to be in news print.

[SPEAKER_00]: But back when I was a little bit of guy there about 50 cents in 20 cents this is 1978 and this was 60 cents.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'll never forget when I was 11 years old it was half by the way marble comics, half remember half alien life form.

[SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't believe it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I bought it still have this, by the way, almost brought it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, the first comic book I ever saw that was a dollar, a dollar, I didn't believe it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I just got had a cow.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to spend a whole dollar on a comic book.

[SPEAKER_00]: I had kids make a fun of me for making a big deal about it.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was a big deal, a whole book.

[SPEAKER_00]: When you only made a dollar a week, there was a lot.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, when I was just, I was, that was scandalous.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was a scandal to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I was being a book on that thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Then, since then, now, in most time, publics cost sometimes three, four, five dollars, and that's more.

[SPEAKER_00]: And at ridiculous, now, granite, the paper is better, the pictures are better.

[SPEAKER_00]: But then, 1982, 1982,

[SPEAKER_00]: There was an action figure about the name of he, man, this is an original one.

[SPEAKER_00]: He, man, from Masters to the universe, don't you fall?

[SPEAKER_00]: I could not put a hole in him, put him on the side, put him on tape, because I just, I just could do it.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then, since then, they bring out new ones to look similar, and they're about $20, and has more.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then, then, what do they have to do?

[SPEAKER_00]: I've got that one for 15, I think, then they also brought little video ones, these ones are about 250 or whatever, and then yes, and then this one here, this used to be 499, this one is 499.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, look at that, same price.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'll think of that, isn't that something in that crazy?

[SPEAKER_00]: Have a thanks change and just

[SPEAKER_00]: a few years, I say if you spend about 40, so you know it's been, but you see the difference in size and how things change.

[SPEAKER_00]: You see the inflation that changes.

[SPEAKER_00]: You see the cheapness of companies change things.

[SPEAKER_00]: You see that people want to change things so that you get less for more.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's the way, and then there's dumb people who'll spin that, I don't know who, I won't say the

[SPEAKER_00]: prices change, things change, but some things never change, some prices never change, some values never change and we're going to get to that here in just a little bit.

[SPEAKER_00]: But first, before we go any further, let's go to something else that I didn't ever thought we'd talk about.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that is, prices and values in the Bible, money in the Bible, things that we don't usually talk about.

[SPEAKER_00]: Perhaps in the Bible, you've heard of some of these things.

[SPEAKER_00]: Perhaps you have it.

[SPEAKER_00]: In the Bible, there's such a thing called a Sheckle.

[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, my mother found this from me today.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is a Sheckle.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's so big, isn't it?

[SPEAKER_00]: This is a Sheckle, a literal Sheckle.

[SPEAKER_00]: So there was a ship on the Bible which is about 32 cents and what is the excuse me back then it was a whole one cent is like a penny but what does it was a value now between 32 cents to 960 depending on what was made of because different types of metal.

[SPEAKER_00]: back in the day, there was a minor, or excuse me, a minna, a minna, it was about the price of 50 shackles, so it was about $50.

[SPEAKER_00]: And the value of a today depends on what it's made of, either $16 to $480 depending.

[SPEAKER_00]: saying what the talent, what is the talent?

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, a talent is about 60 minus.

[SPEAKER_00]: So that means this value of either $960 to $28,000.

[SPEAKER_00]: In the new testament, you hear other things.

[SPEAKER_00]: You hear about a might, either a might or a lipton.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now what is a lipton?

[SPEAKER_00]: A lipton is a small Greek bronze coin,

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, how much is the value of that?

[SPEAKER_00]: You think it's going to be huge.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's about 12 cents, about 12 cents.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then you hear the farthing are quadrant.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's about two mites, is what it's just about 24 cents.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know you've heard of a farthing in England.

[SPEAKER_00]: You remember the days of Christmas Carol?

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Then you hear of a penny, which is what we have.

[SPEAKER_00]: But that was also known as a didn'tier eye, a Roman didn'tier eye.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's about a 16 cents, a daily wage of labor.

[SPEAKER_00]: 16 cents.

[SPEAKER_00]: is what we know it to be.

[SPEAKER_00]: They got made up any.

[SPEAKER_00]: So then there's a mine up or a pound, what was a hundred Roman deniery.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's about 16 dollars.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's a hundred Roman deniery.

[SPEAKER_00]: Then there's a talent.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's a talent.

[SPEAKER_00]: We've heard about talents.

[SPEAKER_00]: What is that?

[SPEAKER_00]: That's about 240 Roman.

[SPEAKER_00]: I can't pronounce it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Or are I, I think they call it.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's 960 dollars today.

[SPEAKER_00]: as the value of it.

[SPEAKER_00]: So it all depends on what they have.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you, this was in 2020, so that, that, that, believe it or not, just in that short time, and six years, the inflation has gone up about 26 to 29%.

[SPEAKER_00]: So a lot of inflation has changed a lot of things.

[SPEAKER_00]: So let's go forward on some of this stuff.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that is on value.

[SPEAKER_00]: Value's changed and things change.

[SPEAKER_00]: You see the values of change, just on the pennies, just on the shepples, just on certain things, values of change, just on silly things, the comic books that the moon pies, values of change, sizes change, different things change.

[SPEAKER_00]: But then, in the Bible, it talks about other values, different types of values, and we're going to talk about some of those today with the short time we have left, we're going to talk about moral values.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk about the price value of something.

[SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to talk about your values to someone.

[SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to talk about that.

[SPEAKER_00]: So let's talk about moral values, OK?

[SPEAKER_00]: What are your moral values?

[SPEAKER_00]: Because that's something that's way more valuable than any calling, way more valuable than any item, like what we mentioned today.

[SPEAKER_00]: Way more important than anything that you could possibly think.

[SPEAKER_00]: So on my birthday, I went out and saw a movie.

[SPEAKER_00]: got supposed to take place in 1982.

[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know that until the end of the film.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I was noticing all these interesting things throughout I said, oh, that looks old.

[SPEAKER_00]: I like that.

[SPEAKER_00]: I recognize that.

[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know till the end what taught we year it was, but I recognize it because they was watching the love boat.

[SPEAKER_00]: You all remember that show.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, love, boat, and I was noticing all these other things, great commercials, and I'm most of the trucks, and all these great things, they're different things they're wearing, and I get thinking, wow, and what's funny is it seems like yesterday in some ways, in some ways, it seems like it just happened.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was remembered in 1902.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's when the church started.

[SPEAKER_00]: January, in fact, will be celebrating the, uh, what is that?

[SPEAKER_00]: That's the 45th anniversary.

[SPEAKER_00]: This January.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I was looking at all that stuff and thinking, what is the value now?

[SPEAKER_00]: That truck is actual metal.

[SPEAKER_00]: What I was looking at that, and all these things, the values have changed, but those things are worth more in some ways, in some ways some types of stuff worth a lot less.

[SPEAKER_00]: You see something that flows at all.

[SPEAKER_00]: Depends on what it is.

[SPEAKER_00]: But moral values have changed a lot, just since that short time, 45 years.

[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of moral values, people look at the values people had, and they say, oh, man, that's not moral.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's immoral.

[SPEAKER_00]: A Christian looks at the way certain people live, and so that was in moral even for that time.

[SPEAKER_00]: Some people can't say, no, no, no, no.

[SPEAKER_00]: Very and more for thinking that they were being moral.

[SPEAKER_00]: You see, it depends on the individual's point of view.

[SPEAKER_00]: But that's why we're not to look at morals to the point of view of the people around us, but from the point of view of the Lord God, in his word, that's the value that we need to look at.

[SPEAKER_00]: What are God's values?

[SPEAKER_00]: Matthew 712 tells us this.

[SPEAKER_00]: as we look at moral values.

[SPEAKER_00]: Therefore, everything you would like meant to do to you.

[SPEAKER_00]: do also to them.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is the law and the prophets.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now you already know, Matthew 712 and Luke 631 are the same.

[SPEAKER_00]: They say it in different ways.

[SPEAKER_00]: Matthew 712 says like I just said, therefore, what you would like me to do to you do also them for this is of the law, the prophets is a fulfillment of everything that God is saying the law, which is the fulfillment of in the prophets, the fulfillment is a, in Luke 631, it says,

[SPEAKER_00]: doing to others as you'd have them doing to you.

[SPEAKER_00]: Treat people the way you want to be treated.

[SPEAKER_00]: But there's not just to be nice.

[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus is saying, this is the fulfillment of all these things, both the prophets, meaning the people who speaking of the Messiah coming, and of the law, the law of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're not talking about the law of the land here.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about the law of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Jesus fulfilled all the law of the land, the law of the prophets, all the, but this is the fulfillment of all this stuff.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Philippians 2, 3, still on moral values here, that nothing be done out of strife or conceit.

[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing out of strife or conceit, but in humility, but each esteem the other better than himself.

[SPEAKER_00]: I like that.

[SPEAKER_00]: Don't do it because you're better than them.

[SPEAKER_00]: Don't do it because, oh, I got to.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, you do it because you want to treat them better than you.

[SPEAKER_00]: Man, there are times that I get frustrated with people, but I suck it up.

[SPEAKER_00]: Treat people, but I'm talking about when you're out in the world.

[SPEAKER_00]: You ever been in line, and then this half of me just a few days ago, I was in line, and this person was driving me up the wall.

[SPEAKER_00]: They took their ever-loving time with everything.

[SPEAKER_00]: They just put it on the little car, I mean, not the car, the little line, you know, that little thing, the bell, thank you.

[SPEAKER_00]: And you're just like, oh, for pity's sake.

[SPEAKER_00]: Come on.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, look, you know, I found myself wanting to yell them like like a Lunitun character, baby.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I didn't, I didn't, I stayed calm.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to say something so bad.

[SPEAKER_00]: And just as I was about to say, what you please, I kept feeling like God was saying, you can't, you're a pastor at the lady who's check out knows that.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I did not stay calm.

[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, what happened that lady with she after taking, I don't know how long.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was so long as about two minutes.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm kidding, it was a, it was, it was seem like forever.

[SPEAKER_00]: He turned around and she was, thank you for being so patient.

[SPEAKER_00]: for the Son of Man shall come with His angels in the glory of His Father.

[SPEAKER_00]: The store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rest destroy, where thieves do not break in or steal, where your treasure is there, your what?

[SPEAKER_00]: Heart will be also.

[SPEAKER_00]: Amen.

[SPEAKER_00]: Where are your values, folks?

[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes I have to check myself to make sure my values are in the right place.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know you're on your

[SPEAKER_00]: You're been so nervous or depressed or whatever it might be that you just can't sleep or maybe you know someone's coming and you just can't sleep.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have a restful life knowing that I'm already taking care of.

[SPEAKER_00]: I've been saved at the cross, at the cross.

[SPEAKER_00]: where I first saw the line.

[SPEAKER_00]: I already know I'm taking care of.

[SPEAKER_00]: Not because I'm great because we know that's not true, but Jesus Christ is great enough for all of us.

[SPEAKER_00]: Hallelujah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, Hallelujah.

[SPEAKER_00]: The price of salvation.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's taking care of his former valuable, anything you can do.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now here's the thing with that inflation.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, we hate it.

[SPEAKER_00]: We hate you seeing inflation.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's all going up a penny.

[SPEAKER_00]: You say, it's only going up 20 cents.

[SPEAKER_00]: I can handle that and then it goes up again.

[SPEAKER_00]: And again, and again, and again, and again, and again, then one minute you drive by the gas station, I'll man, that's the spent back in handle that.

[SPEAKER_00]: The next thing you go two days later, what?

[SPEAKER_00]: 27 cents.

[SPEAKER_00]: What if another 24?

[SPEAKER_00]: And then for too long, it's been up a whole another dollar.

[SPEAKER_00]: You don't think too much about it until it's another five dollars, two years later.

[SPEAKER_00]: and you start realizing, what happened?

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'll tell you what happened.

[SPEAKER_00]: They got a gun to your head.

[SPEAKER_00]: And placing those crazy, but guess what, inflation never touches the price for you when it comes to salvation.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it never touches the price for Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: Never touches either one of you.

[SPEAKER_00]: It cost you nothing.

[SPEAKER_00]: It cost you nothing to be saved.

[SPEAKER_00]: It cost you nothing to be saved.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is absolutely free.

[SPEAKER_00]: Salvation is absolutely,

[SPEAKER_00]: free people say, oh, it's going to cost me.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to cost you nothing to be saved.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to give you everlasting life.

[SPEAKER_00]: You cannot buy your way to heaven.

[SPEAKER_00]: Again, it cost you nothing.

[SPEAKER_00]: All of my friends may not like me.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're not your friends.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my family don't love me anymore.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm just going to taste something.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're sticker family, but they're not the kind of family that you want them to be.

[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're uncomfortable because they know they're in the wrong.

[SPEAKER_00]: You better not let somebody else talk you in the hell.

[SPEAKER_00]: You better not let somebody talk you from, into not coming forward.

[SPEAKER_00]: Come forward if you need to come forward.

[SPEAKER_00]: Walk where you need to walk.

[SPEAKER_00]: Talk what you need to talk.

[SPEAKER_00]: Don't let anyone else talk you out of it because inflation doesn't touch you.

[SPEAKER_00]: The price doesn't touch you.

[SPEAKER_00]: It costs you nothing.

[SPEAKER_00]: But it costs Jesus everything.

[SPEAKER_00]: It cost him everything, every breath, every move.

[SPEAKER_00]: All he had, but here's the thing, here's the great thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Even though cost him everything, he came back up anyway, because he sinned not at all.

[SPEAKER_00]: He sinned in nothing.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so therefore, he came right back up again.

[SPEAKER_00]: He was saying, in that little bit of a trickery, no, no, not at all.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it is absolutely free, and it is a gift of grace, which is why if people believe you can only salvation, not only are they 100% wrong, they don't understand the word grace, and they don't understand the word, yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can't honor it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Romans 3 23 for all have sinned to come short of the glory of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: We just say that a lot, because it's true.

[SPEAKER_00]: Romans 5 8, but God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while yet, while we were yes sinners Christ died for us.

[SPEAKER_00]: Romans 623 for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

[SPEAKER_00]: Ephesians 2A, Ephesians 2A, for by grace you have been saved through faith.

[SPEAKER_00]: And this is not of yourselves.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'll say it again.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is not of yourselves one more time.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is not of yourselves.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is the gift of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're so valuable that Jesus died for them too.

[SPEAKER_00]: What is your value to yourself?

[SPEAKER_00]: But what is your value to Jesus?

[SPEAKER_00]: You know what it is, he gave it to you on the cross.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then he rose again.

[SPEAKER_00]: But here's your great thing about his value for you.

[SPEAKER_00]: It never, never, never changes.

[SPEAKER_00]: It never changes.

[SPEAKER_00]: He loves you just as much today as he did yesterday.

[SPEAKER_00]: He loves you just as much tomorrow as he does today.

[SPEAKER_00]: But Pastor, you don't understand.

[SPEAKER_00]: I got mad all the way here and I might have said something in my mind or outside of my mind.

[SPEAKER_00]: I might have thought something I shouldn't have thought.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I might have watched something I shouldn't have watched because they said something as they.

[SPEAKER_00]: And, oh, you don't understand Pastor, the Lord does it like me anymore because I got something.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you don't understand Pastor, I hate more than shit, but that's gluttony and and you don't understand.

[SPEAKER_00]: But here's the thing about it.

[SPEAKER_00]: What I know is he loves you just as much, despite the fact that he may not love what we've done.

[SPEAKER_00]: My mama still loves me for whatever reason.

[SPEAKER_00]: Money, love me more.

[SPEAKER_00]: So you don't have to cut it anymore.

[SPEAKER_00]: But the point is, the point is, God knows the stuff loving you because you make mistakes.

[SPEAKER_00]: He loves you just as much.

[SPEAKER_00]: He says it's okay, baby.

[SPEAKER_00]: Get back up in here in my arms and listen to me, follow me.

[SPEAKER_00]: Don't do that anymore, but follow me.

[SPEAKER_00]: He loves you just so much.

[SPEAKER_00]: He values you.

[SPEAKER_00]: If he didn't value, he wouldn't correct you.

[SPEAKER_00]: He values you so much, and he tells you stop doing that.

[SPEAKER_00]: He values you so much, he says, don't do that.

[SPEAKER_00]: He values you so much, he points back to the word.

[SPEAKER_00]: He values you so much, he says you're wrong.

[SPEAKER_00]: He values you so much, he tells you, don't go there.

[SPEAKER_00]: Don't listen to them, don't do those things.

[SPEAKER_00]: Imagine a map, a map that tells you all these roads are closed.

[SPEAKER_00]: All these roads go off onto a cliff and we'll kill you if you take them.

[SPEAKER_00]: And you say, what do you mean map?

[SPEAKER_00]: You jerk.

[SPEAKER_00]: I hate you.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why?

[SPEAKER_00]: Because the map is telling you these things are going to hurt you and kill you and do bad things.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's a good map.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's just what you want to kiss that map.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because that map is trying to keep you from getting hurt.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what the Lord Jesus is doing through the Holy Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: But too many people say, I'm never wrong.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, there's a big problem.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're trying to be God to yourself.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's not valuable at all.

[SPEAKER_00]: But God values you so much.

[SPEAKER_00]: He tells you when He's right enough that you listen to Him.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's always right by the way.

[SPEAKER_00]: You listen to Him and you're wise enough to know that He's right and we're not.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's value.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's great value.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm going to finish up.

[SPEAKER_00]: Sega Corinthians eight nine.

[SPEAKER_00]: For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your six, he became poor, that through his poverty, you might be rich.

[SPEAKER_00]: He was richer than rich, richer than rich, but he became poor for you.

[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, the prince of the popper, the prince of the popper, where the prince traded with the popper, and that beautiful story.

[SPEAKER_00]: In this case, the king became a popper for the popper to go to royalty into the kingdom.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that beautiful.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that beautiful, because you don't deserve to go there, either, oh, now no, let's do.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm always here people saying so and so is in hell when they die because I know that they did bad things.

[SPEAKER_00]: You don't know that.

[SPEAKER_00]: I want you to remember that when people try to put animals before you.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing wrong with an animal, that's good.

[SPEAKER_00]: But God loves you and you're very, very, very, very valuable to him.

[SPEAKER_00]: So when you start looking at yourself and thinking you're not valuable, just remember, you're more valuable than you could possibly imagine.

[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't worn this tie in a while, took me a while to find it today.

[SPEAKER_00]: And this value, this tie, I don't remember now.

[SPEAKER_00]: I one time looked at it and I started looking at how much money is on this tie.

[SPEAKER_00]: I looked at the front and the back.

[SPEAKER_00]: I remember it was a couple hundred dollars and something to that effect.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's two dollar bills, hundred dollar bills, of 50s, 5s and all this stuff.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I remember thinking if this tie was really money, I could buy a few things with it.

[SPEAKER_00]: But do you know what?

[SPEAKER_00]: It's the way money is before long to be gone.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it'd be nothing.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the way it is here in life.

[SPEAKER_00]: We get so excited when we were plus, many of them don't have money, but sometimes money just flies away like a bird, and there's nothing.

[SPEAKER_00]: But the value of salvation never goes away.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can't get it away.

[SPEAKER_00]: It stays with you forever and ever.

[SPEAKER_00]: It gets more valuable every day.

[SPEAKER_00]: You may wanna go.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was telling you some of the collectibles.

[SPEAKER_00]: Get more and more valuables you go.

[SPEAKER_00]: all of that as garbage and comparison to the value of South H and the gets more and more gold in every single day.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it's more peaceful when you put your hope and values to it.

[SPEAKER_00]: And as we close, I'm going to read first Timothy for a for bodily exercise, profits of little.

[SPEAKER_00]: But Godliness is profitable in all things, holding promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

[SPEAKER_00]: Let's balance prayer, Lord Jesus Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: The value and all the things you bless us with, Lord.

[SPEAKER_00]: I dare to say, you bless this with so many things.

[SPEAKER_00]: You bless this with monetary things.

[SPEAKER_00]: And there's nothing wrong with that.

[SPEAKER_00]: People oftentimes misunderstand when you told the young man to go sell everything he has.

[SPEAKER_00]: They oftentimes say, that is that we're supposed to live like monks and have nothing.

[SPEAKER_00]: And they've on street corners and ask for everybody else's money.

[SPEAKER_00]: But Lord, that's not what you're asking us to do.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I pray that you will help us to remember even the little sins we have.

[SPEAKER_00]: From what to eat, the what to wear to something to drive, even where we live is a blessing.

[SPEAKER_00]: The fact that we're taking care of.

[SPEAKER_00]: So when you're talking about the birds, Lord God, you're talking about the fact you take care of us, it's a much you take care of them.

[SPEAKER_00]: We may not need a plan for every single moment of the day because all we need to do is follow you and you take care of the rest of it.

[SPEAKER_00]: As long as we're following you, Lord God, you are putting your value in us and the we, Lord God are to follow your values.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I pray, Lord, for those who do not value the life enough of following you, I pray that they will.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I pray for those who have not asked you to save them that they will do so.

[SPEAKER_00]: So they will value themselves more than they do.

[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of times they look at themselves and I see a might when in reality, you look at them who are God and you see a pot of gold.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what you saw when you're on the cross.

[SPEAKER_00]: But those soldiers, Lord God, for laughing and spitting and acting the fool.

[SPEAKER_00]: They were acting foolish, but you saw that they could be treasure.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I pray, Lord God, that we will see the same, not because we are golden, but because you're golden units.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I pray this and your precious holy name, more Jesus, amen.
