-
Have you ever been up early enough or late enough to watch the sunrise?
-
Where were you?
-
Who were you with?
-
What did it feel like watching light come softly into a new day?
-
Every sunrise is a reminder that God's mercy hasn't run out.
-
Yesterday's exhaustion doesn't cancel today's grace.
-
His love is renewed before your eyes each morning.
-
Because of the Lord's great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.
-
They are new every morning.
-
Great is your faithfulness.
-
Take ten seconds to praise God for his compassion that never fails, for love that starts over with you each new day.
-
Has there been something or some things that have felt difficult or weighty lately?
-
Tell the Lord what has felt heavy or overwhelming.
-
Ask him to refresh you with his mercy, to wash over your heart with renewed strength.
-
Be still.
-
Close your eyes.
-
Relax your jaw.
-
Let your shoulders drop.
-
Listen to your breathing as it slows.
-
Imagine his mercy like a gentle sunrise warming your heart.
-
Steady, faithful, and new again.
-
Who in your life, close friend, family, or even just an acquaintance, might feel worn out or burdened right now?
-
Lift them up in prayer and cover them today in the same way you would like someone else to pray for you.
-
Agree with me as we close with praise.
-
Father, your faithfulness never ends.
-
Thank you that mercy meets us every morning.
-
We rest in your unchanging love.
-
Amen.
