-
As we pause our day together, whether you are listening in your car or on your commute, in your favorite chair, drinking your morning coffee, or in a coffee shop, listening through your headphones.
-
Take ten seconds to take a deep breath and exhale.
-
Listen to King Solomon's words of wisdom in Proverbs 3.
-
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
-
In all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
-
Take the next 20 seconds and praise the Lord for his involvement and engagement and care in the big plans and details of your life.
-
Sometimes when I wake up, my brain is already buzzing before my feet even hit the floor.
-
I am strategizing and calculating and planning every moment of my day, usually wondering how am I going to fit it all in?
-
But stop that cycle wherever you are in your day right now.
-
Take the next minute and tell God about the things that are at the forefront of your mind and invite him into your plans.
-
Quiet yourself one more time and ask the Lord if there is anything He wants you to make space for today or change up.
-
God, how would you have us use the minutes of this day?
-
Lord, thank you that you straighten my most complicated paths.
-
Thank you that you order even my most hurried steps.
-
Thank you that you are in control of my life.
-
I acknowledge you in the planing of my days and how I spend my time.
-
Interrupt me today.
-
My life is yours.
-
I trust you with the outcomes that still feel uncertain.
-
I trust you with the results that are still unknown.
-
I trust you in every area of my life.
-
Amen.
