-
Today, as we pause what we are doing, pause our schedule, let's take a couple of deep breaths to signal to our restless bodies and busy minds to come to a place of rest as we engage our Heavenly Father.
-
In Isaiah 41.10, God makes this promise through the prophet to his children.
-
Do not fear, for I am with you.
-
Do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
-
I will strengthen you and help you.
-
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
-
Fear often rises when the future feels unpredictable, but God's word reminds us that he is both near and strong.
-
This is his promise to you today.
-
Take the next thirty seconds to praise God for being your ever-present help, your comfort, strength, and shield.
-
I could pray around my need to trust God every single day because sometimes I feel like daily I am bombarded with opportunities to listen to fear over faith.
-
Let's again today bring these areas where we feel reasonable fear or worry to the God who promises us that he will strengthen and help you, that he will uphold you with his righteous right hand.
-
Ask him to replace that fear with faith, faith in his goodness, his protection, and his plan.
-
Steady, sure, unshakable.
-
Feel His strength upholding you.
-
Close your eyes if you need to, so you can bring your imagination to a place of alignment with God's promises to you.
-
Let's move from petitioning God for our own needs and pray on behalf of whoever's face or story comes to mind right now.
-
Ask that they would feel God's nearness and courage rise in their heart.
-
Say, Thank you, Lord, that your presence drives out fear.
-
We rest in your strength and choose faith over worry.
-
You are our unshakable foundation.
-
Amen.
