-
Have you ever felt anxious before?
-
Maybe it's in anticipation of something.
-
Maybe it's in response to something out of our control.
-
Maybe it's just a general feeling that you can't seem to shake.
-
Anxiety often rises when life feels uncertain or overwhelming.
-
Listen to the words of Jesus as he reminds us that even in trouble, its peace is available and steady.
-
In this world, you will have trouble, but take heart.
-
I have overcome the world.
-
Take heart.
-
What an encouragement from our risen Lord and Savior.
-
Take 15 seconds to praise Jesus for his victory, for the peace that comes from knowing that he has already overcome.
-
Tell Jesus where you feel troubled today.
-
Ask him to quiet the noise in your mind and fill you with his overcoming peace.
-
Inhale, your peace is mine.
-
Exhale, you have overcome.
-
Inhale, your peace is mine.
-
Exhale, you have overcome.
-
Let's move our eyes off of ourselves for a moment.
-
And when you think of someone you know or have heard of, or even a general group of people who are facing some kind of trouble, take the next minute and pray for them.
-
Pray that the peace of Jesus would rise in their heart.
-
Thank you, Jesus, for being our peace in every storm.
-
We rest in your victory today.
-
Amen.
