Choosing gentleness over reaction.

Wisdom waits before it speaks.

Before we ask God to develop the spiritual maturity in us, let's first thank God for his patience with us, for his grace that meets us, even when we've rushed or reacted.

Next, take two minutes and ask God to give you a calm spirit and slow tongue today.

Pray for grace to listen before you speak.

Ask him to fill you with understanding before words.

Sit in the silence with him.

Help us reflect your patience in how we speak and respond.
