Learning The Value Of Contentment | Guided Prayers

You may have heard Philippians 4.13 quoted before.

It says, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Oftentimes, we'll take this first and use it to pump ourselves up for whatever we want to accomplish.

But today, we're going to read a few verses that come before to get some important context.

Paul writes, I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.

I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

I can do all of this through him who gives me strength.

Today, we're going to spend time in prayer asking God to help us learn contentment.

First, take a moment to thank God that his strength is steady in every season.

Praise him that his provision is not dependent on your circumstances.

Bring that before him.

Trusting that he is enough no matter what the season holds.
