Experiencing God’s Peace | Guided Prayers

From the world's perspective, peace can feel fragile.

It often depends on our circumstances and it can disappear as quickly as it comes.

John 16, 33 gives us a clear picture of where we can and cannot experience true peace.

In this verse, Jesus says, I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace.

In this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world.

Notice the distinction.

In Jesus we have peace.

In this world, we have trouble.

Jesus never promised a trouble-free life, but he did promise a peace that the world cannot take away.

Today, we are going to anchor our minds in Jesus and let him give us peace.

Take a moment to thank Jesus for the peace he offers.

Praise him that his victory over the world is already complete.

Name the situation honestly before Him.

I trust you with what is troubling me today.

Thank you for giving me peace.
