Living with Eternal Perspective | Guided Prayers

It's easy to become focused on what is right in front of us, especially as we juggle responsibilities, concerns, goals, and pressures in our schedules.

But Scripture reminds us that our lives are part of a much bigger story.

Colossians 3, 1 through 2 says, Since then you have been raised with Christ.

Set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

These words do not mean we ignore the world around us, but they do remind us that our ultimate hope and purpose are found in Christ.

When we live with an eternal perspective, our priorities begin to shift.

We begin to see our lives through the lens of what matters most.

Today we are going to ask God to lift our eyes beyond the temporary and anchor our hearts in what is eternal.

Take a moment to thank God that your life is secure in Christ.

Repeat after me, Lord, my life is hidden with Christ.

Help me live today with eternity in view.

Thank you for the promise of your kingdom.
