Have you ever prayed the same prayer over and over and wondered if God was listening?

Habakkuk begins his book with a question.

How long, Lord, must I call for help, but you do not listen?

And while he is not questioning whether God exists, he is wrestling with why God seems inactive.

Habakkuk sees injustice.

He sees pain.

And he does not understand why God has not stepped in yet.

But here is what stands out.

He brings his frustration directly to God.

Today, we are going to bring our unanswered prayers into the presence of God.

Take a quiet moment now and think of a prayer you have been carrying for a long time.

First, thank God that He invites persistent prayer.
