Lay Every Burden Down | Guided Prayers

Today, as we pray together, we are going to ask God to change our perspective on seasons of waiting.

Maybe you're in a season of waiting right now, waiting for a job, a miracle, a spouse, a word from God.

Seasons of waiting can feel long and discouraging.

Yet God invites us to hold on to joy while we wait, trusting that He is working behind the scenes.

Listen to Romans 12, 12 as an invitation.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Now take 20 seconds and thank God for the hope that sustains you even while answers feel delayed.

Lay everything out to him as if you are talking to a father figure.

How would you say it?

In a quiet voice, say it out loud.

Now I want you to ask him to help you remain joyful and faithful in the middle of it.

Steady, calm, and alive.

Pray for someone who you know is waiting for a breakthrough.

Believe and contend for them as you are for yourself.

Ask God to fill their waiting with joy and hope.
