Let's start today by reading Scripture.
-
Matthew 11 28 says, Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
-
Weariness can show up quietly in your thoughts, your body, your spirit.
-
You may not even realize how heavy things have become until you finally slow down.
-
But Jesus sees that weight and he doesn't ask you to carry it longer than you have to.
-
He invites you to come to him just as you are.
-
Not fixed, not strong, just willing.
-
Take 20 seconds and thank Jesus for inviting you into rest.
-
Not because we earned it, but because he loves you.
-
Now take sixty seconds and tell Jesus honestly where you feel tired, physically, emotionally, or spiritually.
-
Don't filter it or minimize it.
-
Ask him to meet you right in that place and carry what you've been holding.
-
Invite him to exchange your heaviness for his rest and remind yourself that you are not alone.
-
How does that make you feel like you know someone who is struggling in this area of weariness?
-
Let's ask Jesus to meet them with rest today.
-
Take thirty seconds and pray for them by name.
-
We come to you and receive your rest.
-
Amen.
