-
Take several deep breaths to let your mind and body know that we are going to focus on God for a moment.
-
Quietly say out loud, God, I want to talk to you today.
-
Psalm 5112 says, Restore to me the joy of your salvation.
-
Joy can fade under the weight of hardship or discouragement, but God restores joy gently, patiently and completely.
-
Picture God gently restoring parts of your life that you felt were lost.
-
Take 15 seconds to thank God that restoration is always possible.
-
Joy can be renewed even after loss or weariness.
-
Now let's go to God for help.
-
His word shows us that he is our helper in time of need.
-
Say that out loud.
-
God, I believe that you're here to help me today.
-
Take several moments and tell God where your joy has been depleted.
-
What has caused it?
-
Ask him to restore joy and refresh your spirit.
-
A room lit up perfectly in every corner of darkness, vanished.
-
Ask God to restore joy in their life.
-
If you can, say their name out loud as you pray for them.
-
I am made new in your image and love today.
-
Amen.
