Anchor Your Joy In God | Guided Prayers

Take a moment and pause.

If you can, find a quiet spot away from people and noise.

Let's be intentional to invite him in today.

When circumstances strip away comfort, joy anchored in God remains.

Choosing joy is choosing trust in who God is, even when outcomes are unclear.
-
Habakkuk 3, 17 and 18 declares, Though the fig tree does not bud, yet I will rejoice in the Lord.
-
Take 15 seconds to praise God for who he is, not for what's happening, but for his faithfulness.
-
Close your eyes, breathe deeply.
-
Let's go to God together and ask Him to help you rejoice in Him alone, even when life feels uncertain or disappointing.

Pray in your own words while I pray as well.
-
Jesus, you are my anchor.
-
I thank you for inviting me into a relationship with you where I can rest even when the circumstances of my life are not easy.
-
I declare today, my trust is in you.
-
My strength is found in you.
-
You are my source of joy.
-
Even when my brain and body do not want to fall into alignment with this truth, I declare it over and over.
-
You are a good God.
-
Amen.

Say it again.

Breathe in.
-
Exhale and say, You are my source of joy.

Think about a close friend or relative.

Take a moment to pray for someone struggling to find joy.
-
Ask God to meet them with His presence.
