Where Do You Need God To Comfort You? | Guided Prayers

  1. Close your eyes.

  2. Picture God in your mind.

  3. Now, think about all the attributes you know to be true of Him.

  4. He is gracious, He is kind, He is joy, He is peace, and He is compassion.

  5. 2 Corinthians 1, through through 4 refers to Him as the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.

  6. As your Father, He comforts you in your pain, not from a distance, but up close.

  7. He meets you in sorrow with compassion and care.

  8. You are not expected to carry grief alone.

  9. Now pause and thank God for his compassion and comfort in your life.

  10. Think on times he has met you in the pain.

  11. Take a minute to tell God where you need comfort right now.

  12. Be honest about your pain, grief, or disappointment.

  13. Ask him to meet you with his presence and bring peace to your heart.

  14. Let him hold you steady through this season.

  15. Do you know someone who is hurting?

  16. Ask God to meet them specifically in a way that they would understand or need.

  17. Amen.
