One of the most powerful truths you can hold on to is this: God is not distant.
-
He is your father.
-
He invites you into relationship, not just obedience.
-
You are not approaching him as a stranger, but as a son or daughter who belongs.
-
His heart toward you is personal, attentive, and full of love.
-
Romans 8.15 says, the spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.
-
Pause for a moment to thank God that you are not just created by him, but adopted into his family.
-
Think on the security that comes from being his child.
-
Be honest about any distance, fear, or misunderstanding.
-
Ask him to reveal his fatherly heart to you in a deeper way.
-
Let him help you live from identity, not insecurity.
-
Close your eyes for a moment.
-
Clear your thoughts.
-
Sit quietly and let the truth settle in.
-
You belong to Him.
-
Take a deep breath.
-
Now exhale.
-
Let your heart rest in that identity.
-
Say it out loud I belong to Him.
-
Father, thank you that we are your children.
-
We receive your love today.
-
Amen.
