-
Find a quiet place to talk to God today.
-
Maybe you are in your favorite chair.
-
Maybe you are outdoors on a walk.
-
Maybe you have your headphones on in your office cubicle with your eyes closed.
-
God sees you, and God wants to talk to you today.
-
Isaiah 1.19 says, if you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land.
-
Obedience begins long before in action.
-
It begins in the heart.
-
God is not simply looking for compliance.
-
He desires willing hearts that trust him.
-
A surrendered heart becomes fertile ground for God's work in your lives.
-
Can we start today by telling God how much we love him?
-
Give yourself thirty seconds to worship God.
-
As you sit quietly with the Lord, ask him to reveal any areas where resistance has settled into your heart.
-
Maybe there are places where disappointment, fear, or pride have made obedience difficult.
-
Take thirty seconds to ask God and search your own heart.
-
Now invite him to soften those places.
-
Ask God to create a willing heart that trusts his wisdom and his goodness.
-
Allow God into your process or hesitation, but then talk to him.
-
He can handle your angst, your frustrations, or even your worry.
-
Talk through the situation in your heart all the way through to the landing places of trust.
-
We want to follow you willingly.
-
Amen.
