-
Our battle is not physical. It is spiritual.
-
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood,
-
but against rulers, against authorities, against
-
the powers of this dark world, and against the
-
spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
-
Yet I do not stand in fear, because Jesus Christ
-
has already won the victory. He has given me
-
authority to trample on serpents and scorpions
-
and over all the power of the enemy And he promised
-
that nothing shall by any means harm me The enemy
-
may accuse me oppose me or even seek to sift
-
me as wheat Just as Satan sought permission concerning
-
Peter But my Lord has already gone before me
-
Jesus said I have prayed for you that your faith
-
may not fail The same Savior who strengthened
-
Peter is alive today, interceding for me. Jesus
-
Christ has been exalted above every name. He
-
is seated at the right hand of the Father, where
-
he continually intercedes for his people. He
-
is praying for my perseverance when I grow weary,
-
for my deliverance when I am under attack, for
-
my strength in times of weakness. for my wisdom
-
when I face difficult decisions, and for my victory
-
until the work he began in me is complete. Because
-
I know his name and trust in him, he says, I
-
will deliver him. I will protect him. No weapon
-
formed against me shall prosper. Every tongue
-
that rises against me in judgment shall be condemned,
-
for this is the heritage of the servants of the
-
Lord. The enemies I see today I shall see no
-
more, because the Lord Himself fights for me.
-
The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. Even
-
though I walk through the valley of the shadow
-
of death, I will fear no evil, for He is with
-
me. His rod and His staff comfort me. I do not
-
fight to obtain victory. I fight from victory.
-
The cross is my victory. The empty tomb is my
-
assurance. Jesus Christ has disarmed the powers
-
of darkness, triumphed over them by the cross,
-
conquered sin, defeated death, and destroyed
-
the works of the devil. I am more than a conqueror
-
through him who loved me. If God is for me, who
-
can be against me? Greater is he who is in me
-
than he who is in the world. Therefore, I put
-
on the full armor of God. I take up the shield
-
of faith, the helmet of salvation, the breastplate
-
of righteousness, the belt of truth, the shoes
-
of the gospel of peace, and the sword of the
-
spirit, which is the word of God. I stand not
-
in my own strength, but in the power of the Holy
-
Spirit. I stand under the blood of Jesus. I stand
-
in the authority of his name. I stand on his
-
promises. Today, I declare that Christ is my
-
refuge, my fortress, my defender, my deliverer.
-
my High Priest, my Advocate, my Shepherd, my
-
King, and my coming Savior. The battle belongs
-
to the Lord. The victory belongs to Christ. And
-
because I belong to Christ, His victory is my
-
victory. In the mighty, matchless, and victorious
-
name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
