If you have been praying about something for
-
a long time and you are beginning to wonder why
-
God has not answered yet, this prayer is for
-
you. Maybe the deadline has passed. Maybe the
-
door is still closed. Maybe you know God can
-
do it, but you don't understand why he hasn't.
-
Don't pray alone. I will pray with you. Bring
-
that situation before God right now. Let's pray.
-
God in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, you see
-
what I have been waiting for. You know how long
-
I have prayed. You know the questions I cannot
-
answer and the things I cannot control. And today
-
I surrender the timing to you. Your word says
-
my times are in your hands. So God, I place the
-
clock back into your hands. I release the deadline.
-
I release my anxiety. I release my need to know
-
when I release my need to understand how. And
-
I declare your silence does not mean you are
-
absent. Waiting does not mean I am forgotten.
-
And what I cannot see does not mean you are not
-
working. When nothing seems to be moving, help
-
me trust you. When the door remains closed, help
-
me trust you. When the answer does not come when
-
I expected, help me trust you. When everyone
-
around me seems to be moving forward while I
-
am still waiting, guard my heart from comparison.
-
God, if you are working somewhere I cannot see,
-
Give me faith while I wait. If you are preparing
-
something I do not yet understand, give me patience.
-
If you are protecting me from something I cannot
-
recognize, give me peace. And if the answer will
-
be different from what I expected, give me courage
-
to surrender to your will. God, if you change
-
the situation today, I will worship you. If I
-
must wait another day. I will still worship you.
-
If you open the door, I will follow you. If you
-
close the door, help me trust where you are leading
-
me. And if you do not change my circumstances
-
immediately, change me while I'm inside them.
-
Strengthen my faith. Quiet my anxiety. Guard
-
my heart. Restore my hope. Teach me how to wait
-
without losing my worship. Because today I declare
-
I'm not waiting for an absent God to arrive You
-
are already here. You were there when I prayed
-
You were there when I cried you were there when
-
the deadline passed You were there when I could
-
not understand and you are with me now Therefore
-
I will not let the clock become greater than
-
my faith. I Will not let delay convince me that
-
I have been abandoned I will not allow an unanswered
-
question to separate me from the God I know.
-
My times are in your hands. My future is in your
-
hands. My unanswered questions are in your hands.
-
My family is in your hands. My purpose is in
-
your hands. My life is in your hands. I don't
-
know when. I don't know how. But I know who.
-
And today, that is enough. of Jesus Christ.
