THE HOUSE OF PRAYER — PRAYER XIII: STARVE THE WRONG SEED A Prayer to Restore Resistance and Protect Purpose

Galatians 6 -7 states, Do not be deceived. God

cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Today,

I ask you God to search my heart and show me

every seed I have allowed into my life that is

weakening my resistance. Show me what I have

tolerated. Show me what I have entertained. Show

me what I have normalized. Show me the boundaries

I have slowly moved. Show me what once disturbed

my conscience but has gradually become familiar.

And God, give me the courage to confront it while

it is still a seed. I do not want to wait for

the harvest to discover what I should have uprooted

at the beginning. Holy Spirit, restore my sensitivity.

When you say stop, help me stop. When you say

leave, give me courage to leave. When you say

close the door, give me strength to close it.

When you expose a dangerous relationship, give

me wisdom to establish boundaries. When you reveal

compromise, do not allow me to defend it. When

you show me something that cannot accompany my

purpose, give me the courage to surrender it.

God, I refuse to keep watering what I am asking

you to remove. I will not continually feed the

thought that weakens me. I will not keep entertaining

the conversation that moves my boundaries. I

will not continually revisit the offense that

produces bitterness. I will not feed the appetite

that competes with my purpose. I will not maintain

unnecessary access to what repeatedly weakens

my convictions. Teach me to recognize the seed

before it becomes a harvest teach me to recognize

the spark before it becomes a fire teach me to

recognize compromise before it becomes bondage

teach me to recognize the exit before temptation

convinces me there is no way out god strengthen

my resistance again where compromise has weakened

me strengthen me where familiarity has silenced

conviction awaken me Where repeated exposure

has made something dangerous appear normal open

my eyes Where I have moved the boundary help

me restore it Where I have become spiritually

careless bring me back to prayer Bring me back

to your word Bring me back to obedience bring

me back to the fear of God Bring me back to sensitivity

to the Holy Spirit and God protect me from confusing

your mercy with permission. If you protected

me from consequences, thank you for mercy. If

you exposed something before it destroyed me,

thank you for mercy. If you interrupted a relationship,

thank you for mercy. If you closed the door I

wanted open, thank you for mercy. If you confronted

something I was trying to justify, thank you

for mercy. I will not say, I got away with it.

I will say, God gave me another opportunity to

get it right. God, there is another seed within

me that I want to water, the seed of purpose.

Water my faith, strengthen my character, deepen

my prayer life, increase my hunger for your word,

develop my discipline, strengthen my boundaries,

purify my relationships. Teach me obedience.

Produce self -control within me through the Holy

Spirit. Let what you planted in me become stronger

than what was planted against me. Therefore,

today I declare, I will starve the wrong seed.

I will not feed what is trying to weaken me.

I will not water what threatens my purpose. I

will not normalize what God is calling me to

confront. I will not keep moving boundaries to

accommodate compromise. My resistance is being

restored. My convictions are being strengthened.

My spiritual sensitivity is returning. My boundaries

are being rebuilt. My character is being refined.

I declare that temporary appetite will not destroy

permanent purpose. Compromise will not steal

my calling. Offense will not poison my heart.

Bad influence will not determine my direction.

Secret habits will not become the enemy of my

future. By the help of the Holy Spirit, I choose

the seed of purpose. I will water what strengthens

my relationship with God. I will water what strengthens

my family. I will water what strengthens my character.

I will water what strengthens my calling. I will

water what strengthens the vision God has entrusted

to me. And if God exposes something today that

could destroy me tomorrow, I will recognize the

exposure as mercy. The seed will not become the

harvest. The spark will not become the forest

fire. The compromise will not become my master.

God is restoring my resistance. God is strengthening

my discipline. God is protecting the harvest

connected to my purpose. I am being refined for

a purpose. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen,

amen and amen. Remember, you are not alone.
