the house of prayer and the fervent prayer of

a righteous prayer 20 god correct me without

letting me run from you a prayer for humility

correction and restoration this prayer is for

you if god has been confronting something in

your life Maybe through his word. Maybe through

conviction. Maybe through circumstances. Maybe

through someone who told you something you did

not want to hear. Maybe you recognize that an

attitude needs to change. A boundary needs to

return. An apology needs to be made. A habit

needs to stop. Pride needs to come down. Or maybe

you are walking through consequences from decisions

you wish you could change. And somewhere inside,

you have started wondering, God, are you angry

with me? Have you rejected me? Did I lose my

purpose? Is everything over? If that is where

you are today, this prayer is for you. Hebrews

12 .6 says, the Lord disciplines the one he loves.

And Romans 8 .1 declares, there is therefore

now. no condemnation to them which are in Christ

Jesus. So today, we are not praying from condemnation.

We are praying from relationship. Let us pray.

Lord, search my heart. And if there is something

in me that needs correction, correct me. If my

attitude needs correction, correct me. If my

words need correction, correct me. If my decisions

need correction, correct me. If my relationships

need correction, correct me. If my priorities

need correction, correct me. If my ambition needs

correction, correct me. If my pride needs correction,

correct me. If the way I handle authority needs

correction, correct me. If the way I respond

when I am angry, disappointed, hurt, or misunderstood

needs correction, correct me. But God... When

you correct me, don't let me run from you. Don't

let shame convince me that you no longer love

me. Don't let embarrassment make me hide. Don't

let pride make me defend what your spirit is

trying to change. Don't let disappointment make

me interpret your correction as abandonment.

And don't let condemnation speak louder than

your grace. Teach me to recognize the difference

between your conviction and the voice of condemnation

condemnation tells me you failed therefore you

are finished but your correction tells me this

must change because i am not finished with you

so god give me a teachable heart give me the

humility to say i was wrong give me the humility

to apologize give me the humility to receive

accountability Give me the humility to listen

before defending myself. Give me the humility

to ask, God, is there something here you want

me to hear? If you send someone to correct me,

give me discernment. Human beings can misunderstand.

People can accuse falsely. People can speak from

wrong motives. So give me wisdom to test what

I hear. But don't let somebody's imperfect delivery

make me reject the truth you are trying to show

me. If there is truth in the correction, help

me receive it. God, protect me from becoming

so successful that nobody can tell me the truth.

Protect me from becoming so powerful that people

become afraid to correct me. Protect me from

becoming so spiritual that I believe I cannot

be wrong. Protect me from becoming so defensive

that every correction feels like an attack. Protect

me from surrounding myself only with people who

agree with me. Give me people who love me enough

to tell me the truth and give me the maturity

to listen. God, if I'm walking through consequences

from my own decisions, give me grace. If I need

to repair something, show me how. If I need to

rebuild trust, give me patience. If I need to

accept responsibility, give me courage. If I

need to make restitution, give me integrity.

If I need to apologize, break my pride. If I

need to change, give me discipline. And if there

are consequences I cannot immediately escape,

teach me through them. Don't let me waste the

correction. Don't let me spend the entire season

asking you only to remove the consequence while

refusing to learn what you are trying to teach

me. Like David, let my prayer become. Create

in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right

spirit within me. God, I don't only want the

situation changed, I want to be changed. Change

whatever in me contributed to the problem. Change

the anger. Change the pride. Change the selfishness.

Change the impatience. Change the dishonesty.

Change the uncontrolled desires. Change the insecurity.

Change the need for approval. Change the bitterness.

Change the way I react. Change the way I speak.

Change whatever cannot follow me into the person

you are calling me to become. And God, if this

season is not your correction, protect me from

falsely condemning myself. Not every hardship

is punishment. Not every closed door means I

failed. Not every painful season means you are

angry with me. Give me discernment. If you are

correcting me, help me receive it. If you are

redirecting me, help me follow. If you are telling

me to wait, help me wait. If I am simply walking

through a difficult season, Give me faith to

endure without accusing myself. I want to hear

you clearly. God, when correction hurts, remind

me that discomfort does not automatically mean

rejection. When obedience costs me something,

give me strength. When I have to walk away from

something I became attached to, help me surrender.

When you put your finger on something I have

been defending, help me release it. When you

say, this cannot continue, give me the courage

to agree with you. Because I don't want you merely

to bless everything I choose. I want you to correct

anything that could destroy what you are preparing

for me. Protect my marriage. Protect my family.

Protect my relationships. Protect my ministry.

Protect my career. Protect my calling. Protect

my testimony, protect my future. And if protecting

those things requires correcting something within

me, God, correct me now. Correct me before pride

becomes destruction. Correct me before anger

destroys relationships. Correct me before ambition

corrupts my character. Correct me before temptation

becomes bondage. Correct me before success produces

arrogance. Correct me before a small compromise

becomes a larger collapse. I would rather experience

the discomfort of correction than the devastation

of destruction. God, teach me to ask a different

question. Not only, why am I going through this?

But, God, what are you trying to preserve? If

you are preserving my character, thank you. If

you are preserving my family, thank you. If you

are preserving my calling, thank you. If you

are preserving my future, thank you. If you are

protecting me from something I cannot yet see,

thank you. I may not understand the interruption

today. I may not understand the closed door today.

I may not understand why you told me no. I may

not understand why something had to change. But

give me faith to believe that sometimes your

no can contain protection. Sometimes your interruption

can contain mercy. Sometimes your correction

can contain preparation. And sometimes correction

is rescue. Lord, I surrender my pride. I surrender

my excuses. I surrender my defensiveness. I surrender

my need to always be right. I surrender my reputation.

I surrender the image I try to protect. I surrender

my character to your refining work. Teach me,

correct me, discipline me, restore me, transform

me, and when you have corrected me, don't let

me remain trapped in the past. Don't let me continue

punishing myself for what you have forgiven.

Don't let yesterday's failure become today's

identity. Let correction produce wisdom. Let

correction produce humility. Let correction produce

discipline. Let correction produce self -control.

Let correction produce compassion. Let correction

produce maturity. Let correction produce righteousness.

Let correction produce peace. And let me walk

differently because you loved me enough to confront

me. Today, I declare Correction is not rejection.

Conviction is not condemnation. Discipline is

not abandonment. Consequences do not automatically

mean my purpose is cancelled. God is still working

on me. God is still refining me. God is still

teaching me. God is still transforming me. And

by His grace, I will not run from the refiner

while He is refining me. God. If you see something

in me that could destroy what you are preparing

to place in my hands, deal with it. If you see

something in me that could damage the people

I am called to serve, deal with it. If you see

something in me that could compromise my testimony,

deal with it. If you see something in me that

could become tomorrow's collapse, deal with it

today. Because I understand now Sometimes the

God who loves me will comfort me. Sometimes he

will carry me. Sometimes he will restore me.

And sometimes he will correct me. And when he

does, I will remember. Correction is not always

rejection. Sometimes correction is rescue. God,

correct me without letting me run from you. Keep

me close while you change me. Keep me humble

while you teach me. Keep me surrendered while

you refine me and make me into the person who

can faithfully carry what you are preparing for

my future I am still being refined for a purpose

in the name of Jesus Christ Amen If God is correcting

something in your life today don't immediately

run from the discomfort Ask him God. What are

you trying to teach me? What are you trying to

preserve? Receive his conviction. Receive his

grace. Make the correction. And keep walking.

The refiner is not finished with you. Always
