  1. the house of prayer and the fervent prayer of

  2. a righteous prayer 20 god correct me without

  3. letting me run from you a prayer for humility

  4. correction and restoration this prayer is for

  5. you if god has been confronting something in

  6. your life Maybe through his word. Maybe through

  7. conviction. Maybe through circumstances. Maybe

  8. through someone who told you something you did

  9. not want to hear. Maybe you recognize that an

  10. attitude needs to change. A boundary needs to

  11. return. An apology needs to be made. A habit

  12. needs to stop. Pride needs to come down. Or maybe

  13. you are walking through consequences from decisions

  14. you wish you could change. And somewhere inside,

  15. you have started wondering, God, are you angry

  16. with me? Have you rejected me? Did I lose my

  17. purpose? Is everything over? If that is where

  18. you are today, this prayer is for you. Hebrews

  19. 12 .6 says, the Lord disciplines the one he loves.

  20. And Romans 8 .1 declares, there is therefore

  21. now. no condemnation to them which are in Christ

  22. Jesus. So today, we are not praying from condemnation.

  23. We are praying from relationship. Let us pray.

  24. Lord, search my heart. And if there is something

  25. in me that needs correction, correct me. If my

  26. attitude needs correction, correct me. If my

  27. words need correction, correct me. If my decisions

  28. need correction, correct me. If my relationships

  29. need correction, correct me. If my priorities

  30. need correction, correct me. If my ambition needs

  31. correction, correct me. If my pride needs correction,

  32. correct me. If the way I handle authority needs

  33. correction, correct me. If the way I respond

  34. when I am angry, disappointed, hurt, or misunderstood

  35. needs correction, correct me. But God... When

  36. you correct me, don't let me run from you. Don't

  37. let shame convince me that you no longer love

  38. me. Don't let embarrassment make me hide. Don't

  39. let pride make me defend what your spirit is

  40. trying to change. Don't let disappointment make

  41. me interpret your correction as abandonment.

  42. And don't let condemnation speak louder than

  43. your grace. Teach me to recognize the difference

  44. between your conviction and the voice of condemnation

  45. condemnation tells me you failed therefore you

  46. are finished but your correction tells me this

  47. must change because i am not finished with you

  48. so god give me a teachable heart give me the

  49. humility to say i was wrong give me the humility

  50. to apologize give me the humility to receive

  51. accountability Give me the humility to listen

  52. before defending myself. Give me the humility

  53. to ask, God, is there something here you want

  54. me to hear? If you send someone to correct me,

  55. give me discernment. Human beings can misunderstand.

  56. People can accuse falsely. People can speak from

  57. wrong motives. So give me wisdom to test what

  58. I hear. But don't let somebody's imperfect delivery

  59. make me reject the truth you are trying to show

  60. me. If there is truth in the correction, help

  61. me receive it. God, protect me from becoming

  62. so successful that nobody can tell me the truth.

  63. Protect me from becoming so powerful that people

  64. become afraid to correct me. Protect me from

  65. becoming so spiritual that I believe I cannot

  66. be wrong. Protect me from becoming so defensive

  67. that every correction feels like an attack. Protect

  68. me from surrounding myself only with people who

  69. agree with me. Give me people who love me enough

  70. to tell me the truth and give me the maturity

  71. to listen. God, if I'm walking through consequences

  72. from my own decisions, give me grace. If I need

  73. to repair something, show me how. If I need to

  74. rebuild trust, give me patience. If I need to

  75. accept responsibility, give me courage. If I

  76. need to make restitution, give me integrity.

  77. If I need to apologize, break my pride. If I

  78. need to change, give me discipline. And if there

  79. are consequences I cannot immediately escape,

  80. teach me through them. Don't let me waste the

  81. correction. Don't let me spend the entire season

  82. asking you only to remove the consequence while

  83. refusing to learn what you are trying to teach

  84. me. Like David, let my prayer become. Create

  85. in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right

  86. spirit within me. God, I don't only want the

  87. situation changed, I want to be changed. Change

  88. whatever in me contributed to the problem. Change

  89. the anger. Change the pride. Change the selfishness.

  90. Change the impatience. Change the dishonesty.

  91. Change the uncontrolled desires. Change the insecurity.

  92. Change the need for approval. Change the bitterness.

  93. Change the way I react. Change the way I speak.

  94. Change whatever cannot follow me into the person

  95. you are calling me to become. And God, if this

  96. season is not your correction, protect me from

  97. falsely condemning myself. Not every hardship

  98. is punishment. Not every closed door means I

  99. failed. Not every painful season means you are

  100. angry with me. Give me discernment. If you are

  101. correcting me, help me receive it. If you are

  102. redirecting me, help me follow. If you are telling

  103. me to wait, help me wait. If I am simply walking

  104. through a difficult season, Give me faith to

  105. endure without accusing myself. I want to hear

  106. you clearly. God, when correction hurts, remind

  107. me that discomfort does not automatically mean

  108. rejection. When obedience costs me something,

  109. give me strength. When I have to walk away from

  110. something I became attached to, help me surrender.

  111. When you put your finger on something I have

  112. been defending, help me release it. When you

  113. say, this cannot continue, give me the courage

  114. to agree with you. Because I don't want you merely

  115. to bless everything I choose. I want you to correct

  116. anything that could destroy what you are preparing

  117. for me. Protect my marriage. Protect my family.

  118. Protect my relationships. Protect my ministry.

  119. Protect my career. Protect my calling. Protect

  120. my testimony, protect my future. And if protecting

  121. those things requires correcting something within

  122. me, God, correct me now. Correct me before pride

  123. becomes destruction. Correct me before anger

  124. destroys relationships. Correct me before ambition

  125. corrupts my character. Correct me before temptation

  126. becomes bondage. Correct me before success produces

  127. arrogance. Correct me before a small compromise

  128. becomes a larger collapse. I would rather experience

  129. the discomfort of correction than the devastation

  130. of destruction. God, teach me to ask a different

  131. question. Not only, why am I going through this?

  132. But, God, what are you trying to preserve? If

  133. you are preserving my character, thank you. If

  134. you are preserving my family, thank you. If you

  135. are preserving my calling, thank you. If you

  136. are preserving my future, thank you. If you are

  137. protecting me from something I cannot yet see,

  138. thank you. I may not understand the interruption

  139. today. I may not understand the closed door today.

  140. I may not understand why you told me no. I may

  141. not understand why something had to change. But

  142. give me faith to believe that sometimes your

  143. no can contain protection. Sometimes your interruption

  144. can contain mercy. Sometimes your correction

  145. can contain preparation. And sometimes correction

  146. is rescue. Lord, I surrender my pride. I surrender

  147. my excuses. I surrender my defensiveness. I surrender

  148. my need to always be right. I surrender my reputation.

  149. I surrender the image I try to protect. I surrender

  150. my character to your refining work. Teach me,

  151. correct me, discipline me, restore me, transform

  152. me, and when you have corrected me, don't let

  153. me remain trapped in the past. Don't let me continue

  154. punishing myself for what you have forgiven.

  155. Don't let yesterday's failure become today's

  156. identity. Let correction produce wisdom. Let

  157. correction produce humility. Let correction produce

  158. discipline. Let correction produce self -control.

  159. Let correction produce compassion. Let correction

  160. produce maturity. Let correction produce righteousness.

  161. Let correction produce peace. And let me walk

  162. differently because you loved me enough to confront

  163. me. Today, I declare Correction is not rejection.

  164. Conviction is not condemnation. Discipline is

  165. not abandonment. Consequences do not automatically

  166. mean my purpose is cancelled. God is still working

  167. on me. God is still refining me. God is still

  168. teaching me. God is still transforming me. And

  169. by His grace, I will not run from the refiner

  170. while He is refining me. God. If you see something

  171. in me that could destroy what you are preparing

  172. to place in my hands, deal with it. If you see

  173. something in me that could damage the people

  174. I am called to serve, deal with it. If you see

  175. something in me that could compromise my testimony,

  176. deal with it. If you see something in me that

  177. could become tomorrow's collapse, deal with it

  178. today. Because I understand now Sometimes the

  179. God who loves me will comfort me. Sometimes he

  180. will carry me. Sometimes he will restore me.

  181. And sometimes he will correct me. And when he

  182. does, I will remember. Correction is not always

  183. rejection. Sometimes correction is rescue. God,

  184. correct me without letting me run from you. Keep

  185. me close while you change me. Keep me humble

  186. while you teach me. Keep me surrendered while

  187. you refine me and make me into the person who

  188. can faithfully carry what you are preparing for

  189. my future I am still being refined for a purpose

  190. in the name of Jesus Christ Amen If God is correcting

  191. something in your life today don't immediately

  192. run from the discomfort Ask him God. What are

  193. you trying to teach me? What are you trying to

  194. preserve? Receive his conviction. Receive his

  195. grace. Make the correction. And keep walking.

  196. The refiner is not finished with you. Always

  197. remember, you are not alone. Pomoja Ministry

  198. is your prayer partner.
