I Have The Receipt: Made Whole by the Blood of Jesus

Welcome to week number six in our series that

we've entitled, I Have the Receipt. Everybody

say that with me. I have the receipt. Now, I'll

fill you in on what all that means. Have you

ever been to one of the wholesale shopping clubs,

BJ's, Costco, something like that? How many of

you know that before you can get out... With

the items that you have purchased, you have to

stop at the door and show them your receipt.

Now, the BJs down in Davenport at Posner Park,

they will not let you out of the door until they

look at every, at least me, because I do self

-checkout. Maybe they look a little closer when

it's self -checkout, but they look at every item

on my receipt, and they look at every item in

my shopping cart. And I've seen them stop people

over like one item. They paid for everything

else, but they caught them. They had one item

in there that hadn't paid for yet. And, you know,

when you're scanning 10 items yourself and you

get to leave them in the buggy instead of taking

them out, you know, you just pull out the little,

what do they call it? I call it a clicker scanner.

If you just pull that out and hit the barcode,

sometimes you might, you know, you're trying

to get them all, but you can make a mistake.

But here's the deal. As long as you have a receipt,

you have a proof of purchase. Everybody say proof

of purchase. I want to ask you another question.

Has anyone ever walked out of a store and one

of those little alarms went off? Now, every time

for me the alarms went off, I hope this is the

same case for you. Every time for me when the

alarm went off, it was because the person at

the register didn't deactivate the RFID, right?

So I was glad I had a receipt. Everybody say

a receipt. I was glad I had a receipt to prove

that I had paid for it. Right? That's important.

That's why we call this series, I Have the Receipt.

This series is helping us be more established.

Everybody say established. It's helping us be

more established in one of the most central truths

of the Christian faith. What was purchased and

what is provided, Through the blood of Jesus.

What did He purchase for us with His blood? What

does He provide for us through His blood? You

see, if we don't know what He purchased, and

if we don't know what He has provided, then chances

are we're not going to experience it. And some

of the things that we've looked at, it's clear

in the Word of God that they were provided By

the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, by the blood

of Jesus that He spilled, He paid for these things.

So, where is our receipt? The Word of God contains

a detailed receipt of what Jesus purchased with

His blood. Everybody say, I have the receipt,

one more time. Now, there's a lot of parables

in the Bible. There's a lot of illustrations

that preachers use. I mean, like this receipt

being one. But the blood of Jesus is not just

an illustration. It's not just symbolic religious

talk. It's more than that. It's our covenant

reality. Jesus said, this is my blood establishing

the new covenant. The blood of Jesus is full

of spiritual power, even though he shed it 2

,000 years ago, and then he took it to the real

holy of holies in heaven and put it on the mercy

seat in front of the presence of God. It's still

full of spiritual power. Still works. Hebrews

9 .22. It says this, without the shedding of

blood, there's no forgiveness. Do you realize

without Jesus shedding his blood, it would be

impossible for us to be forgiven? He shed his

blood for us, for our sin, in our place, so that

we could be forgiven. So the blood of Jesus makes

forgiveness possible. Everybody say forgiveness.

Colossians 1, 13 and 14. Now we're going to go

through the first five weeks. Colossians 1, 13

and 14. For he has rescued us from the kingdom

of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom

of his dear son, who purchased our freedom and

forgave our sins. So if you are in Christ, you

have been purchased by the blood of Jesus. You're

not your own anymore. He didn't just purchase

your forgiveness. He purchased you. He redeemed

you. Because we all started out in the kingdom

of darkness. That's where we all started. But

by his blood, he redeemed us. He bought us out.

from under the kingdom of darkness, and he transferred

us into the kingdom of his dear son. Somebody

say thank you. The blood of Jesus paid the price

for our redemption. He bought us and brought

us out of the kingdom of darkness. What else?

Hebrews 9, 13 through 14. Under the old system,

The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of

a heifer could cleanse people's bodies from ceremonial

impurity. Just think. How much more? Somebody

say, how much more? How much more the blood of

Christ will purify our consciences from sinful

deeds? See, under the old covenant, The blood

of bulls and goats, God said he would remember

our sins no more. Under the new covenant, God

says, because of the blood of Jesus, you shouldn't

remember your sins anymore. Just think, how much

more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences

from sinful deeds so that we can worship the

living God. What an amazing word. See, Christ's

blood didn't just deal with internal or just

didn't deal with what sin does in our relationship

with God. Christ's blood also deals with the

effects and internal damage of sin. How amazing

is life? With a clear conscience. The blood of

Jesus. Another verse says his blood was sprinkled

on our conscience. Christ's blood can cleanse

the conscience of all guilt and condemnation.

It can cleanse our conscience from past actions

that we've done. It can also cleanse our conscience.

from past experiences that we've gone through

as a result of sin. This is so amazing. Hebrews

10, 19. And so, dear brothers and sisters, we

can boldly enter heaven's most holy place. Somebody

say, boldly enter. Boldly enter. We can boldly

enter heaven's most holy place. Why? Because

we're good enough. Because of our ability to

perform. Is that why we can go in boldly? No,

we can go in boldly. What does the word say?

Because of the blood of Jesus. So with his blood,

he purchased bold access. The blood of Jesus

grants us bold access to God. Hebrews 12, 24.

To Jesus, the mediator of the new covenant, and

to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better

things than that of Abel. We learned that blood

speaks in the spirit realm that week, and the

blood of Jesus speaks better things. Everybody

say better things. The blood of Jesus speaks

good things over us, better things over us. The

blood of Jesus speaks mercy over us. The blood

of Jesus speaks pardon, speaks acceptance. The

blood of Jesus speaks peace. The blood of Jesus

speaks reconciliation. The blood of Jesus speaks

covenant favor with us. It speaks better things,

not vengeance. Blood of Jesus speaks better things

over us. 1 Corinthians 15, 57. But thank God.

Somebody say, thank God. But thank God. He gives

us victory over sin and death through our Lord

Jesus Christ. Revelation 12, 11. And they overcame

him. This is talking about our enemy. They overcame

him. This is out of Revelation, looking back

and making declarations of how this happened

from eternity future, looking back to even us

today. They overcame him, our spiritual enemy,

by the blood of the Lamb. Everybody say the blood

of the Lamb. And by the word of their testimony.

Look at the person beside you. Tell them it's

important. It's important to talk about what

God has done in your life. How many were encouraged

by just the random testimony that we got this

morning? Who was encouraged? Who was built up?

Well, guess what? You can do the same thing for

someone else. It's important. That's the way

we are victorious in this life. The blood of

Jesus bought it. The blood of Jesus buys our

victory, has bought our victory. But then the

word of our testimony helps us to step into what

Jesus has purchased for us. Look at the person

beside you and tell them to open your mouth sometimes.

Just open your mouth sometimes. The blood of

Jesus secures our victory over sin. over death,

and over all demonic forces. The blood of Jesus

has secured it. So now you're caught up. Now

we're going to move forward. The blood of Jesus

not only makes forgiveness possible, it not only

purchases us out of the kingdom of darkness,

it not only cleanses our conscience from the

effects of sin, it not only grants us bold access

to God, It not only speaks better things over

our lives, it not only secures our victory. Everybody

say, that's a lot. But wait, there's more. The

blood of Jesus makes us whole. I'm going to say

that again. The blood of Jesus makes us whole.

Let's put it this way. The blood of Jesus can

make us whole. He purchased our wholeness with

His blood. Do you have the receipt? The blood

of Jesus not only rescued us from judgment, It

purchased restoration into God's life. Through

the blood of Jesus, we have God's life flowing

through us. The atonement addresses, and that

has to do with blood. We're going to see a verse

here in just a second. The atonement addresses

the whole person, spirit, soul, and body. The

majority, well, the majority of the things we've

been talking about the blood is, it's been talking

about what Jesus purchased for our spirit. And

we've talked about some of the things that he's

purchased for our soul, which would be our thought

life. We're going to continue expounding on that,

the soul and the body. Blood of Jesus releases

covenant life that brings restoration, strength,

wholeness. Those things empower believers to

live healed, sustained, and fruitful in the will

of God. That's the blood of Jesus at work. Leviticus

17, 11. For the life of the flesh is in the blood.

And I have given it to you upon the altar to

make atonement. For your souls. For it is the

blood that makes atonement for the soul. Everybody

say the blood. The blood makes atonement for

the soul. Now that word soul is translated soul

in our English Bibles. That's the Hebrew word.

Sometimes I have fun trying to pronounce these

words. You can pronounce it any way you want

to. Nefesh. Let's say it like that. And this

is the definition of the Hebrew word. It is soul.

Everybody say soul. But also part of the definition,

and it's translated this way in different areas

of the Bible, it's talking about your life. It's

talking about yourself, which would be your being,

your person. It's talking about a living being.

So look at the person beside you and say, are

you a living being? Yeah, I think we are. If

we're breathing. That was one of the other definitions

as I looked it up. A breathing being. Right?

When God breathed into Adam, he became a living

spirit or living soul. That's the same word.

Nefesh. So it's not just talking about the soul,

it's talking about the whole person. Everybody

say the whole person. And what did that verse

say? The blood makes atonement for the whole

person. The whole person. So the atonement addresses

sin and spiritual death. The atonement... deals

with and addresses the separation from God because

of sin, but the atonement also addresses, according

to the Word of God, the effects of sin on human

life. The effects of sin on human life, on the

whole person. Isaiah 53, 4 and 5. You've probably

heard these verses before. It's a prophetic.

Word from God through the prophet Isaiah. And

he's talking about the Messiah. Everybody say

he's talking about Jesus. And here's what he

says. Yet it was our weakness. Jesus carried.

It was our sorrows. That weighed him down. And

some people looked at him and thought that his

troubles were a punishment from God. Some of

the Jews were looking at him when he was crucified.

They were saying, he can't be God because God

couldn't be cursed on a tree, on a cross. We

thought his troubles were a punishment from God,

a punishment for his own sins. Look to the person

beside you and say, he never sinned. So how can

it be a punishment for his sin? It was a punishment

for our sins, actually, what was taking place.

He carried our weakness. He carried our sorrows.

Our sorrows weighed him down. Verse 5 goes on

to say, but he, Jesus, the Messiah, was pierced.

For what? For our rebellion. He was crushed for

our sins. Listen, he was beaten so that we could

be whole. Everybody say whole. He was whipped

so we could be healed. Everybody say healed.

He's talking about Jesus. And when He was pierced

and when He was whipped and when He was nailed

to the cross, that's where His blood was shed

for us. The word translated whole, let's go to

the Hebrew just so... You can't say, well, you

know, I don't know if it means that or whatever.

I don't know what it really means. Well, in that

verse, the word translated whole is probably

a word, a Hebrew word that you've heard before.

Shalom. Everybody say shalom. Shalom. It's a

big word in the Bible. It's actually one of God's

names is shalom. I am Yahweh shalom. I am the

Lord, your peace. Everybody say peace. But when

you look up shalom, I've got it in multiple places

coming at us. Just so you know, I just didn't

make this up out of my head. New American Standard

Concordance, Exhaustive Concordance. I didn't

have enough room to type in exhaustive right

there. Here's what it means. Completeness. soundness,

welfare, peace. And the strong's exhaustive concordance

is translated well, favor, friend, great, good

health, perfect. A lexical summary. It says this,

peace, completeness, welfare, well -being, safety,

prosperity. We live in a world, every time you

say the word prosperity, you've got to explain

it. I don't know why. Look at the person beside

you and tell them, God's for you. He's not against

you. God is for you. The word prosperity does

not mean that God wants everybody to drive a

Bentley and live in an 8 ,000 square foot house.

Because all of us have heard of people who have

way more resources than any of us will ever have,

way more money, way more net worth than any of

us have or ever have had who have committed suicide.

So obviously it's more than money. Prosperity

is more than money. Because you can have all

that you want, but if you don't have peace in

the middle of it, it's worthless. It's worthless.

But that's what the word shalom means. That's

who God is, and that's what Jesus shed his blood

so that we can have a receipt for. It's completeness,

soundness, welfare, peace, well -being, favor,

good health. Have I hit it all yet? Safety, prosperity.

We have a receipt. We have a receipt. And in

the word healed in that text, guess what? It's

another one of God's names. It's Raphael. He

is Yahweh. Some might have known the word Raphael.

That's just the correct Hebrew way to say it,

I guess. And here's what it means. It means cure.

It means cause to heal. It means physician. It

means repair. It means to thoroughly make whole.

Thoroughly make whole. What does that tell us?

It's for every part of us. Every part of us.

Every part of us where sin has affected humanity.

Thoroughly made whole. And this word occurs about

67 times in the Old Testament. It always, always,

always carries the idea of bringing wholeness

where damage, disease, or disorder have intruded.

And I didn't write that either. I copy and pasted

that out of... Hey, go to Bible Hub. We live

in an amazing time. Back in the 80s, I have to...

I used to have to pull out a big old blue Strong's

Concordance and look up the word, look up the

verse to find the number for the word, and then

go flip over and try to find the number of that

word to see the definition. Now all you have

to do is take out your smartphone and put, you

know, Isaiah 53, 4 and 5, interlinear. That's

all you have to do. And you go to Bible Hub,

and it has the... Hebrew words or the Greek words

and you click on them and you can read all this

stuff by yourself. So easy. It's an amazing time.

I know some of us would rather go without it.

How many of you remember a simpler life that

wasn't quite as crazy without it? But there are

so many advantages to it. Listen. This word always.

carries the idea of bringing wholeness where

damage, disease, or disorder have intruded. I've

got a question. Is there any damage, disease,

or disorder in heaven? Is anybody looking forward

to going to heaven so that... You could experience

damage and disease and disorder. Hello? Is it?

Is that what we're looking forward to? No. And

I've got a question, just a common sense question.

Why is all that here and not in heaven? Does

anybody have an answer? Use your own brain. Don't

just listen to me. Use your own brain. Why do

we have it here but it's not in heaven? Sin.

Sin brought all that. That's why it's not going

to be in heaven because there's no sin in heaven.

But these things affect us. Wholeness is for

the whole person. Physical. emotional, mental,

your strength, your endurance. Wholeness is for

the whole person. 1 Peter 2 .24, in case you

think, aren't you just reading out of Old Testament

and we're talking about Jesus and, well, 1 Peter

2 .24, who himself bore our sins in his own body

on the tree. Somebody say thank you. That we,

having died to sin, right? Whoo! Look at the

person beside you and tell them, I'm dead to

sin. If you don't believe it, look it up in Romans.

It says that because of Jesus, we're now dead

to sin. It has no control over us anymore. Sin

is not our master anymore unless we let it be.

who himself bore our sins in his own body on

the tree, that we, having died to sin now, because

we've been buried with Christ and we've risen

with Christ, it's not I that live, it's Christ

who lives in me, having died to sins might live

to righteousness or for righteousness because

Jesus has now clothed us in his righteousness.

I wish I could just preach the whole New Testament,

but y 'all probably wouldn't stay here that long.

Righteousness is a gift. We're not clothed in

the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. So

he bore our sins in his own body on the tree

that we might live righteous. And then it says,

by whose stripes? You were healed. By whose stripes

you were healed. That word healed is Greek. So

it's a different word. It's not Rolfal anymore.

This is even more fun to say. You say it however

you want to. And here's what it means. It means

healed. It means cured. It means restored. In

the lexical summary, in the Strong's Concordance,

it says heal and make whole. Everybody say heal.

Everybody say make whole. Everybody say restore.

Everybody say cure. What an amazing testimony

just for... I wasn't even planning on asking

for testimonies. I guess... God led me to ask

and God led you to share. What about that? Did

everybody hear that? She felt like she needed

to share before she got here, but she wasn't

going to do it unless I asked. I copied this

out of the Bible Hub too. That word healed encompasses

restoration of bodily health, deliverance from

demonic oppression, mending of broken hearts,

and the ultimate curing of sin's damage. Isn't

that good? It never appears as a mere medical

term. There's always more to it. Healing is portrayed

as God's gracious intervention that reaches both

body and soul. Isn't that awesome? The Bible

includes healing as an outflow of the cross.

The Bible includes wholeness as an outflow of

the cross. Acts 10, 38. Just in case you think

that... I mean, how many verses could we read

where Jesus healed somebody? This is kind of

a summary of Jesus' work, the Messiah's redemptive

work, Acts 10, 38. And you know that God anointed

Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with

power. Then Jesus went around doing good and

healing all, or does it say some? Healing all

who were oppressed by the devil, for God was

with him. The Bible includes healing and the

Messiah's redemptive work. Psalm 103. Let all

that I am praise the Lord. May I never forget

the good things he does for me. Look to the person

beside you and tell them, God does good things

for me. God does good things for me. What does

he do? He forgives all my sins. He heals all

my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns

me with love and tender mercies. He fills my

life. Everybody say, not just a dab. Everybody's

handing out these little Jesuses. Does anybody

hand you a little Jesus? You know what I'm talking

about, little bitty? We need more than a little

Jesus. We need all of Jesus. Hallelujah. Don't

need to rub a little Jesus on us like sunscreen.

I'm not against people handing them out, so hand

them out. We need a lot of Jesus. We need all

of Jesus. He redeems me from death, crowns me

with love and tender mercy. He fills my life

with good things. My youth is renewed. I'm 60

years old. I need some renewed strength. Renewed.

My youth is renewed. My strength is renewed like

the eagles. God fills my life with good things.

This shows a biblical pattern. There's forgiveness.

There's healing. There's redemption. There's

wholeness. They all flow together as covenant

benefits. Hebrews 13, 20. Now may the God of

peace. who brought up from the dead our Lord

Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, and ratified

an eternal covenant with his blood. It's an eternal

covenant. May he equip you with all you need.

Everybody say, all you need. May he equip you

with all you need for doing his will. How many

of you know if you're laid up in a hospital room,

you can't do the will of God like you could if

you were mobile? May He equip you with all you

need for doing His will. People can still be

used by God in the hospital room, but... May

He produce in you through the power of Jesus

Christ every good thing. Somebody say good thing

again. May he produce in you through the power

of Jesus Christ every good thing that is pleasing

to him. All glory to him forever and ever. Amen.

Note the progression. Resurrection power. Blood

of the everlasting covenant. Being made whole

or complete in him. And why does that happen?

For doing his will. For doing his will. The goal

of the covenant. The goal of covenant wholeness

is not merely your personal comfort. It's consecrated

usefulness. This verse puts another picture on

it. It takes us from being about everything that

God has done is for me, and it's just for me,

and it's just for me to enjoy. Hallelujah, it's

for you. It's for me, but it's not just for us,

for us. There's 100 ,000 people just right up

and down this road. God's work in our life is

supposed to impact us in such a way that it makes

a difference in the world around us. Not just

in our house, but in our neighborhood. Not just

in my house, but throughout four corners. Not

just in my house, but throughout the world. Wholeness

is part of the covenant life provided by Christ.

Everybody say wholeness. Wholeness includes restoration,

it includes strengthening, it includes sustaining,

and it includes effectiveness. Whole person.

So how are we going to apply this? Hey, you got

to believe it. I believe that's a challenge for

a lot of people who grew up in... You know, like

I already shared with you, I'm a preacher's kid,

so I grew up going to church Sunday morning,

Sunday night, Wednesday night. And then since

I didn't get enough of it, God later called me

to be an evangelist, and then I was going to

church Sunday morning through Wednesday night,

even had some two -week revivals where I went

to church every day for two weeks. Woo! JT was

on the road. JT and Michelle were on the road

going to church. I don't know how many days a

year did y 'all have. Four or five days a week.

I mean, it's a lot. So. It's not just about doing

church. That's not how you're going to apply

it. You got to believe it. You can be a hearer

and not a doer. You can be a hearer and not a

receiver. You have to acknowledge. And you have

to believe. You have to acknowledge. You have

to. receive it. You have to take it. Look to

the person beside you and tell them, you're going

to have to take it. See, I can't take it for

you. Your husband or wife can't take it for you.

You have to take it. You have to acknowledge

it. You have to receive it. You have to believe

that wholeness is part of the covenant. And one

way that you're going to Acknowledge and receive

and believe it is by aligning your words with

the covenant life. Aligning your words with what

God says. Aligning your words with the covenant.

Proverbs 18, 21. It's just a confirmation of

this. Death and life are in the power of the

tongue. Everybody stick out your tongue at me.

I didn't write this. It's straight out of the

Bible. Death and life are in the power of your

tongue. And those who love it will eat its fruit.

I'm going to read it again. Death and life are

in the power of the tongue, and those who love

it will eat its fruit. Now, this is an oh me

if you're speaking death all the time. You're

going to eat the fruit of death if you speak

death all the time. I'm just trying to help you.

Whatever you speak is whatever you're going to

eat. Is that what this says or not? Is that what

it says? But if you speak life, you're going

to have some better fruit. And see, you can't

just take this verse and say, well, you know,

that just means if you just talk health and all

that all the time, all you got to do is talk

it and you can have it. You have to talk what's

connected to power. You have to talk what God

says. Talk. See, there has to be some substance

behind it. There has to be something that can

bring the power to bring it into action. Does

anybody have a thermostat in your house? Well.

I decided to buy a thermostat because I like

it cold. And can you believe that I went to JT's

house and I took my thermostat and I turned it

to 68 degrees. But nothing happened. You know

why nothing happened? Because I was just holding

a thermostat in my hand. It wasn't connected.

to a unit that could produce the cooling. It

wasn't connected to the unit that was connected

to the power. Everybody say power. Because even

if I connected it to the unit, if the unit wasn't

connected to power, something with the ability

to make it happen, it don't matter what I do

on my thermostat. So, if you speak death, There's

some power that's ready to hook up to you speaking

death. Because the thief came to steal, to kill,

and to destroy you. So if you speak in death,

there's some demonic forces and powers that are

going to hook up to it real quick. But if you

speak life, and you speak life according to what

God has said, if you speak life according to

the blood covenant and what Jesus has purchased

for you with his blood, if you begin to speak

life, there's some power that's ready to hook

up with you. Because the Bible says that God

is watching over his word to perform it. So if

you speak life, the power of God is going to

hook up. If you speak death, demonic forces are

going to hook up. The power of sin is going to

hook up if you speak death. Hallelujah. You should

be smiling instead of frowning. Because now you

know. Look to the person beside you and tell

them to start speaking life. Quit speaking death.

If you want some different fruit, you got to

change your words. Hallelujah. So we're going

to stand up and we're going to put some words

in agreement. with the covenant in agreement

with the verses that we read today. Are you ready?

We're going to read it like we're in third grade,

all reading it together, but don't just read

it monotone, expressionless, like all you're

doing is saying words. I want you to read it

like, hey, that's what the blood has purchased

for me, and I'm in agreement with it. Are you

ready? One, two, three. The life of God is flowing

in me. By the blood and the covenant, I receive

wholeness. By his stripes, I am made whole. I

will live to fulfill the will of God. God renews

my strength and restores my life. I will be complete

and equipped to do God's will. This is just an

example of connecting your words to the power

of God. He's the one who has the power to transform

your life. He's the one who has the power to

heal your body. He's the one that has the power

to work in your emotions. Hello? Let's say it

again. One, two, three. The life of God is flowing

in me right now, right now. By the blood and

the covenant, I receive wholeness. By his stripes,

by the stripes of Jesus, I am made whole. I will

live to fulfill the will of God. How many years

ago was it? Two years ago now or three? I wound

up in the emergency room, man. Down in, I don't

know, Advent Health, down the road. I wound up

in the emergency room. And I had to call Jeffrey.

And I said, Jeffrey, can you come pick me up?

Because if not, I'm calling the ambulance. And

he knew that something was wrong. because he

knew that I hadn't even been to the doctor in

seven, eight years, not even for a checkup. I

said, can you take me to the emergency room?

He said, yeah. So he drove down and picked me

up and took me to the emergency room. I told

the people, they said, what's your pain level?

I said, 11. They said, wait a minute, it can

only go to 10. I said, well, it normally can

get to 10, but right now it's 11. And they were

just going to let me sit out there, and I just...

I was hurting. Hurting so bad. I finally laid

down on the floor, and when I laid down on the

floor, they got me a room. I went into the pediatric

room. Had like airplane painted on the wall,

all kind of stuff. Listen. After that event,

I was traumatized. Because I was thinking I might

die. And I wasn't scared to die. I'm not scared

to die. But I know something. God has called

me to a mission. And I went through some crazy

times. When I was at home by myself, I made sure

all the lights were on. I'd have to get in the

car and just drive around, go walk around in

the store. I never missed a Sunday preaching,

and I don't think I've ever told you that, hey,

you know, God can't give you victory. I've never

said that, have I? Has anybody listened to me

preach? There's victory in Christ. But I was

struggling. I was struggling because I thought

I was not going to live to fulfill the will of

God. That was the biggest struggle. And it took

me a while of changing my words. Hello? It took

me a while of changing my words. I had to speak

the truth of God's Word. Because in 58 years,

I'd never gone through darkness like that. My

mom had, but I never had. But I'm here today

to take it. It's been a long time since I've

dealt with that. It took a little while. It didn't

happen immediately. But there is victory. There

is freedom. There is life. There is wholeness.

Come on, somebody. It's available. No matter

what you're going through right now, I'm not

talking about theory. I'm talking about something

that's available in Christ. Purchased with the

blood of Jesus. It's not just theory. It's not

just I'm sitting around coming up with these

nice things to say. Searching the internet for

my next sermon. Let me tell you something. I

will live to fulfill the will of God. Somebody

say that with me. I will live to fulfill the

will of God. God renews. Say it with me. God

renews my strength and restores my life. I will

be complete and equipped to do God's will. How

many people are glad you came today? Sit back

down for just a second. Is there anybody in the

room? I'm not going to make you raise your hand,

but is there anybody in the room who your religious

past might make it a little difficult for you

to receive the Word of God today? I know mine

did. I know mine did. Listen. I read all the

verses to you. I hope you wrote them down. I

hope you go ahead and read them for yourself

to find out that this is the will of God and

the Word of God. Jesus died and shed His blood

to make you whole. His blood was shed for more

than just your eternity. It was shed for your

life. Wholeness for the whole person. Physical

healing, emotional restoration, freedom from

oppression, renewed strength, and endurance for

purpose. Blood does not only redeem your eternity,

It releases God's life into your humanity. Everybody

say this with me one more time. The life of God

is flowing in me right now. It's working in me
