  1. There are actually three parts when God gives you a vision.

  2. There's the what, and there's the how, and there's the when.

  3. And how god fulfills the vision is never the way

  4. I thought. We have been in a time of great

  5. uncertainty for two years twenty twenty twenty. We want in

  6. many ways, we've been in limbo. You know. We just

  7. couldn't get on. We couldn't get out. Every time we

  8. thought it looks like the COVID's going down, we'd have

  9. another flare up and stuff like that. And a lot

  10. of pastors and a lot of ministry leaders have asked me, well,

  11. a lot of them have been discouraged. And I've talked

  12. so many pastors out of quitting in the last two

  13. years as a pastor to pastor, and they'll call me

  14. on this, and I said, you know what, some there

  15. is a time for vision, and there's a time to

  16. not have a vision. Wow. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes three,

  17. there's a time and purpose for everything, you know, time

  18. to time to dance and mourn, time to celebrate. Well,

  19. there's a time to share a vision and there's a

  20. time to not share vision. During the past two years,

  21. it has not been a time to share vision because

  22. you need to focus on the hurts of the people themselves.

  23. People right now are burnt out. If you have a

  24. car battery and you attach one light bulb to it,

  25. it'll last a long time. If you attach two light

  26. bulbs to it, it burn out in half the time.

  27. Four light bulbs dies in a quarter of the time.

  28. You don't have one light bulb draining you. You have

  29. multiple things in your life that are going on, and

  30. with chronic stress and chronic trauma, which this pandemic and

  31. all the other things related to it have happened. People

  32. don't realize that if they get up in the morning,

  33. they've had a good night's sleep, and two hours into

  34. the day they're going, man, I'm exhausted. Welcome to the

  35. human race. Wow, that's the way everybody feels right now.

  36. There is not a person listening to us on TB

  37. and right now that has the same amount of energy

  38. they had two years ago. Wow. That's just the nature

  39. of trauma. It's the nature of chronic stress and chronic change.

  40. People are up to here in change. Okay, So in

  41. a time of uncertainty, we are not in a time

  42. of stability. Things are changing rapidly all the time. First place,

  43. let me just say a word about vision. Vision is

  44. a responsibility of leader. The first rule. First job of

  45. a leader is to clarify and communicate the vision of

  46. the organization, the family, the ministry, the business, the church.

  47. That's the first job of leadership. Communicate and clarify the vision.

  48. But timing is as important a vision as having the vision.

  49. A prematurely shared vision will be stillborn. A premature vision

  50. can can die really quickly. I could give you examples

  51. from forty two years in my own life of where

  52. I shared something too soon, wow, and it died quickly

  53. the time. There are actually three parts when God gives

  54. you a vision. There's the what, and there's the how,

  55. and there's the when. Okay, all three parts. You have

  56. to wait for all three parts of the vision. So

  57. if someone's lifting listening right now and they're going, what's

  58. God's vision for my family, What's God's vision for my business,

  59. What's God's vision for my church? What's God's vision for

  60. my ministry? God always gives it in three parts. First,

  61. he tells you what he's going to do. Okay, and

  62. that's the fun part. You get the Oh, here's what

  63. I'm going to do in your life. Then we run

  64. out and try to accomplish it any way we think

  65. is best and we fall flat on our faces and

  66. we come back and we say, God, did I miss

  67. the vision? Because now I came it A was right.

  68. You just didn't wait for part two. And that's how

  69. I'm going to fulfill the vision. And how God fulfills

  70. the vision is never the way I thought. Wow, it's

  71. never ever the way that I thought he was going

  72. to do it. So God will give you a vision.

  73. You get a movie project and you think this is

  74. what God's vision is for. And then we go out

  75. and we try to do it, but God's going wait,

  76. wait a minute, wait for part two. I'm going to

  77. do it. How is the difference? And then finally you

  78. have to wait for the most important part, and that's

  79. the win, and that's the timing. God's timing is perfect.

  80. He's never too early, he's never too late. For the

  81. last two years twenty twenty twenty twenty one, we have

  82. been in God's waiting room. We've been the whole church

  83. and the whole world. It's almost like you know when

  84. your kids are younger and you say, okay, everybody's got

  85. a bad attitude. Go to your room. Everybody, take a

  86. time out. It's like God said, okay, world, your attitude sucks.

  87. Go to your room, take a time out, and take

  88. a time out. Now, when we come back together, when

  89. this thing goes down, and when the things actually God

  90. does not want us to simply resume the old ways

  91. we did it. This is a chance for a reset,

  92. got it. This is a chance for a reboot. God

  93. doesn't say, let's just go back to do it the

  94. way we used to do it. Every church would be

  95. should be saying, okay, what is it we used to

  96. do and then we stopped doing but we really shouldn't

  97. start back up again. Okay, we need to stop because

  98. God wants to do it. Behold, I do a new thing. Okay,

  99. as Isaiah says, no old wine in the new wine

  100. exactly exactly. You can't put new wine in old wine skits.

  101. And so there are new systems, there are new programs,

  102. there are new ministries. Studies have shown that about sixty

  103. percent of the people who got laid off don't want

  104. to go back to their old job. Fine, this is

  105. an opportunity for you to get a reset in your

  106. life in that way to get a new job, to

  107. get a new job exactly, and to go after a

  108. dream that you haven't you've been afraid to go after.

  109. And TBN our mission is to use every available means

  110. to reach as many individuals and families as possible with

  111. the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you for

  112. helping make the Gospel of Grace go around the world.

  113. Without you, we couldn't do it. God bless you.
