  6. each other through the power of God's love and God's word.

  12. That's Pastorick dot com, or the word Daily to eight

  13. hundred six hundred five thousand and four. Right now, here's

  14. Pastor Rick with part one of a message called the

  15. Prayer of Fulfillment.

  16. In our Society.

  17. In our culture, we have a choice right now of

  18. either continued disintegration, which we see going on in our society,

  19. or a new revitalization, revival, reform, renewal, renaissance, reawakening. And

  20. I believe deeply that everything that we need for that

  21. second thing is found in this prayer, the Lord's Prayer,

  22. And as you know, we've gone through it week by week,

  23. line by line, and.

  24. This weekend we come to the.

  25. Final phrase, and the final phrase up here on the

  26. screen of this prayer that Jesus prayed is this for thine.

  27. He's talking about God. For Thine is the Kingdom and

  28. the power and the glory forever. Now, I want you

  29. on your outline to circle those three words Kingdom, power, glory.

  30. I can't think of.

  31. Three more important words you need to understand for yours. Oh,

  32. God is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Now,

  33. I want you to listen very closely in this introduction

  34. because I'm going to explain to you right now the

  35. reason for everything, everything that's happened in the past, everything

  36. that's going to happen in the future, the reason for

  37. the universe, the reason why you are alive. These three

  38. words kingdom, power, and glory are so essential. You will

  39. never understand history until you understand kingdom, power and glory.

  40. History is his story. It's God's story. He is in control,

  41. he is sovereign. You will never understand life until you

  42. understand kingdom, power and glory. You will never understand your

  43. particular purpose on this planet until you understand God's kingdom,

  44. God's power, and God's glory, because it all exists for

  45. that reason. Now you've heard me say many times you

  46. were made by God and you were made for God.

  47. And until you understand that, life's not going to make sense.

  48. Let me say it again in a little bit clearer way.

  49. You were not only created by God. You were not

  50. only designed by God. You were not only made by God.

  51. You were created, designed and made for God. That's why

  52. you're alive. You weren't just made by God. You were created,

  53. designed and made for God. He made you for himself.

  54. And if God had not wanted you alive, you wouldn't

  55. be taking your next breath, You would not be your

  56. heart would not be beating. The Bible tells us that

  57. God is the compassionate one. The Bible tells us he

  58. is a God of mercy and compassion. He is a

  59. God of love. The Bible tells us God is love.

  60. It doesn't just say he has love. It says he is.

  61. Love is the essence of his character, It is his nature.

  62. God is love, and God made you to love you.

  63. You were created as an object of God's love. And

  64. so God didn't just create you. He made you for him,

  65. for himself, and he made you for himself. He made

  66. you to live in his kingdom and to fulfill his kingdom.

  67. He made you to show his power, and he made

  68. you to bring him glory. Let me say it again,

  69. You were not just made by God. You're made for God,

  70. and He made you to fulfill his kingdom, to reveal,

  71. to show his power, and to bring him glory. Now,

  72. let me explain it in a different way. First, the

  73. Kingdom of God is his plan. It is his plan

  74. for history, and it is his plan for all of eternity.

  75. Is not an exaggeration to say God.

  76. Has long range plans for you.

  77. History is just a little bit of time we have

  78. here as humans on this planet. But God existed before

  79. and he will exist after.

  80. This is just a.

  81. Little parenthesis in eternity, and God's plan involved much more

  82. than history. It involves eternity, and the Bible says this

  83. up here on the screen in the Book of Daniel.

  84. It says God's plans are unshakable, nothing's.

  85. Gonna change them.

  86. If you were to get on an ocean liner with

  87. me in New York City, and we were going to

  88. go to London. On that ocean voyage, you could do

  89. a lot of different things. You could sleep all day,

  90. you could walk around the deck, you could eat the

  91. six or eight banquets a day, you could play shuffleboard,

  92. you could read. You would have amount of freedom, but

  93. it is limited freedom. That ship's going to London, whether

  94. you like it or not. History is moving the way

  95. God wants it to move, whether you like it or not.

  96. Now on that ship, you've got a lot of freedom

  97. to do different things, but you're not turning the ship around.

  98. Does that make sense? Okay?

  99. So the Kingdom of God is his plan for history

  100. and eternity.

  101. The power of God is his program.

  102. What I mean by that, it is how God accomplishes

  103. his plan. God does not accomplish his plan through marketing,

  104. through merchandising, through manufacturing, through advertising. He does not accomplish

  105. his plan through all these human tools. He does it

  106. with his and he accomplishes his program and his plan

  107. through his power. Let me read your verse up here

  108. on the screen. The Bible says this in Isaiah chapter

  109. forty five. I God am the one who made the

  110. earth and created human beings to live there. By my power,

  111. I stretched out the heavens. I control the sun, the moon,

  112. and the stars. I myself have stirred Cyrus to action,

  113. to fulfill my purpose. Notice fulfill my purpose and put

  114. things right. No one has hired him or bribed him

  115. to do this. The Lord Almighty has spoken. Who was Cyrus.

  116. Cyrus was a Persian king, he was an Iranian. He

  117. lived in Babylon. And God chose Cyrus as a king

  118. to discipline Israel and to put things right. And he says,

  119. I have chosen this man to do my will. And

  120. I have a program, and I have a plan, and

  121. I'm in control. God's kingdom is his plan. God's power

  122. is his program. God's glory is his purpose. God's glory

  123. is his purpose. Everything God does he does to reveal

  124. what he's like. That's his glory. He wants us to

  125. understand what's he's like. And everything in the world and

  126. in the universe, every plant, every rock, every animal, everything

  127. brings glory to God.

  128. God made it to reveal what he's like.

  129. And just looking at the world, there's a lot of

  130. things we.

  131. Can learn about God.

  132. Even if we didn't have the scriptures, there are a

  133. lot of it we could know about God. For instance,

  134. we know God likes variety. Have you figured that one out?

  135. Look down your robe. There's not anybody in the world

  136. like you. You know, God could have figured ah fifteen

  137. or twenty varieties of human beings and then just stamped

  138. us out. God has never made a copy, never made

  139. a clone, never made a repeat. You have you unique handprint,

  140. I print, voice print. And God overdoses on variety. God

  141. loves right. He never does the same thing twice. Look

  142. at all the people, Every person, even twins, are different

  143. in hundreds and thousands of ways. And so God, we

  144. know God is organized. We know God is powerful, We

  145. know God is creative. Just by looking at his nature

  146. and then through scriptures we know so much more that

  147. God is loving, and he's merciful, and he's kind. We

  148. know that he's a God of justice. We know he

  149. is a God of righteousness. And so God's glory is

  150. his purpose. Now, let me explain it one other way

  151. before we get into this today. God's kingdom is a

  152. present reality. Some people think the kingdom is something that's

  153. still out there waiting to come. Well it is, that's

  154. part of it. But the truth is the kingdom of

  155. God is wherever God is king. Jesus said this, The

  156. Kingdom of God is wherever God is king. If he's

  157. king in heaven, then the Kingdom of God is in heaven.

  158. If he is king on earth, then the Kingdom of

  159. God is on earth. If he's king inside you, he's

  160. ruling in your heart, and you are surrendered and submitted

  161. to his will, then.

  162. The Kingdom of God is in you.

  163. And Jesus said all three things, it's wherever God is king.

  164. And so the kingdom God's kingdom is a present reality.

  165. When Jesus sent his following worse out to do good

  166. in the world, it's in Matthew chapter ten, and in

  167. Luke chapter ten, and in Mark chapter nine. He sent

  168. them out with a series of instructions, and he says,

  169. this is what I want you to do in the world,

  170. and this is what I don't want.

  171. You to do.

  172. And we built the entire Peace Plan on those passages.

  173. But when Jesus sent them out, he said, you know,

  174. I want you to go out and assist the poor,

  175. and I want you to care for the sick, and

  176. I want you to educate people, and I want you

  177. to share the good news, and I want you to

  178. show love. And he said, I want you to lift

  179. up the downtrodden and relieve the oppressed, and establish justice

  180. and all of the good things that he said you

  181. are to do. He said, this is the demonstration of

  182. the Kingdom. And I don't have time to get into it.

  183. Let me just show you one verse when he was

  184. talking about helping people with their health in healthcare, healing

  185. the physical needs of people. Here's what he said. Jesus said,

  186. and heal the sick. And as you heal them, say

  187. the Kingdom of God, God.

  188. Is near you now.

  189. Now the Kingdom of God is a present reality. Now

  190. the power of God. Remember thine is the Kingdom, the power,

  191. and the glory. The Kingdom of God is a present reality.

  192. It's what we're to be doing on the earth right now.

  193. The power of God is the present resource. It's the

  194. energy you get to do what God wants you to

  195. do once you're surrendered and submitted to his will. It

  196. is the power of God, the present resource. In fact,

  197. Jesus said this up here on the screen. Things that

  198. are impossible by human resources are possible for God. And

  199. he says, when you plug into God's power, you're not

  200. going to be just doing it on your own effort.

  201. And God's power is the present resource. What is God's glory.

  202. It's the reason.

  203. It's not the reality of the resource, it's the reason.

  204. It is the present reason for everything. It's all for

  205. God's glory. This is Pastor Rick's daily hope. We're so

  206. glad you're with us today. Rick will be back in

  207. a moment, But first, recently, Pastor Rick had our graphic

  234. hundred five zero zero four or go to Pastaerrick dot com.

  235. Thanks so very much.

  236. This is Pastor Rick's Daily Hope once again.

  237. Here's Rick.

  238. I want you to read this verse a loud with me.

  239. It's on your outline. It's notice there at the top

  240. the second verse Romans Chapter eleven, verse thirty. Let's read

  241. it aloud together. Everything comes from God alone, Everything lives

  242. by His power, and everything is for his glory.

  243. That is the glory of God.

  244. Now you know, I talk to people all the time

  245. and say, Rick, I have so much, and yet I

  246. feel unfulfilled. I've got a good family, I've got a

  247. good job, i got great kids, I've got good friends,

  248. I've got a good congregation to be a part of.

  249. Why am I so unfulfilled? It's because you were made

  250. for more than success. You were made for more than survival.

  251. You will never be satisfied living for yourself. You weren't

  252. made to live for yourself. You were made to live

  253. for the kingdom and the power and the glory. And

  254. you will never find fulfillment in life. Never will you

  255. find fulfillment in life until you begin to live in

  256. God's kingdom.

  257. By God's power, for God's glory.

  258. Well that was a long introduction, but that's what I

  259. want to teach you how to do today. How do

  260. I live in God's kingdom? How do I live by

  261. God's power? How do I live for God's glory? How

  262. do I live a fulfilled life? The kind of life

  263. that I was made wired, designed by God to live.

  264. Jesus said in John chapter ten, Verse ten, I have

  265. come that you might have life By the way, notice

  266. he didn't say religion. He said life, and have it

  267. more abundantly. Now, why did Jesus say I've come to

  268. give you life, Because most people aren't living, they're just existing.

  269. Get up in the morning, go to work, come home,

  270. watch TV, go to bed, get up in the morning,

  271. go home, go to work, come home, watch TV, go

  272. to bed, get up in the morning, go to work,

  273. come home, watch TV, go to bed, go to a

  274. party on weekend.

  275. And say, man, I'm living. No, you're just existing.

  276. Jesus said, I came that you might have life, real life,

  277. abundant life, the kind of life God intends for you

  278. to live. And why are most people not really living?

  279. Because they're living for themselves. And let me be real

  280. frank with you. You're not a big enough cause to

  281. get yourself out of bed.

  282. You're not enough.

  283. You're not a big enough cause to give yourself meaning.

  284. You need something bigger than yourself to give your life meaning.

  285. And there is a cause. It's called the Kingdom of God.

  286. So let's look at the three keys to living a

  287. fulfilled life. Number one, if you might want to write

  288. this down, filment comes through living in God's kingdom, living

  289. in God's kingdom. I must live in God's kingdom.

  290. You know you too.

  291. Bono and those guys, they actually wrote a song on

  292. this called in God's Kingdom? Should sang it this morning?

  293. Maybe y'all sing it? No, no, maybe I won't. The

  294. Bible says this first Thessalonians, you should live in a

  295. way that proves you belong to the God who calls

  296. you into His kingdom and glory. What does it mean

  297. to live in God's kingdom? It means you make God's

  298. agenda your agenda. You make God's will your will. That

  299. you care about what God cares about in life. Now,

  300. usually we care about everything else except what God cares about.

  301. In the Sermon on the Mountain, Jesus spends a major

  302. section talking about worry, and he says there's six reasons

  303. you don't need to worry, and he goes through all

  304. of the different things that we typically worry about. He says,

  305. you don't need to worry about your health, and you

  306. don't need to worry about your happiness, and you don't

  307. need to worry about security, and you don't need to

  308. worry about your future, and you don't need to worry

  309. about your relationships. You don't need to worry about your job,

  310. and you don't need to worry about your family. And

  311. he talks about all these things that you shouldn't worry about.

  312. And then he concludes this section unworthy worry with a

  313. major statement, and he says this up here on the screen,

  314. Jesus said, God will give you all you need from

  315. day to day. Notice it's give us this day our

  316. daily bread, not our monthly, not our annual bread. He

  317. gives it to you on a daily basis. God will

  318. give you all you need from day to day. If

  319. here's the condition you live for Him, and you make

  320. the Kingdom of God your primary concern, you are surrendered,

  321. You are submitted to the will of God.

  322. You make the Kingdom of God.

  323. And he says, if you make that your primary concern,

  324. I'm going to live in the king nom of God.

  325. God says, you don't need to worry about happiness. He says,

  326. I will cover you one coverage.

  327. This is Pastor Rick's daily Hope. We're so glad you're

  328. with us today. Recently, Pastor Rick had our graphic designers

  331. dot com. That's Pastorick dot com. Rick will be back

  332. in a moment. But first Fall is here and that

  333. means Christmas is right around the corner. That's why we

  336. It's beautiful. This two part resource includes a calendar with

  337. a special door for every day of December that opens
