Teamwork Makes the Dreamwork - January 19, 2025

Mark chapter six, Mark chapter number six, verse number forty-five through fifty-six.

We'll finish this chapter.

They just got done feeding five thousand men with the five loaves and the two fishes.

And now Jesus is gonna lead them into what's next.

And it says in verse 45, and straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.

And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.

And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land, and he saw them toiling in rowing, for the wind was contrary unto them.

And about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.

But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out, for they all saw him and were troubled, and immediately he talked with them and saith unto them, Be of good cheer.

It is I, be not afraid.

And he went up unto them into the ship, and the wind ceased, and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.

For they considered not the miracle of the loaves.

For their heart was hardened.

And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore.

And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him, and ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.

And whithersoever he entered into villages or cities or cunt or country, they laid the sick in the streets and besought him that he might touch if it were but the that they might touch if it were the border of his garment, and as many as touched him were made whole.

Father, would you please open up this text to us?

We're your children.

We know that this is a spiritual book, it's a holy book, it's your word.

And we ask that you would open our eyes, that we would behold wondrous things out of thy law.

God, we understand the natural man will not receive the things of the Spirit of God, so please help us to be spiritual.

Help us to have understanding, open our eyes, enlighten us, speak to our hearts, and give us fresh insight and revelation and clarity of thought that we might understand how you operate and teach us to be more like you and to walk with you.

In Jesus' name.

Amen and amen.

I titled this message, Teamwork Makes the Dream Work, because what I see here is teamwork.

And I got to thinking Jesus' work is teamwork.

Notice he's not doing it alone.

There's a lot of Christians, they think they don't have to go to church.

There's a lot of Christians that don't ever become a member of a church, and you're failing to realize that Jesus' work is teamwork.

You're not going to grow as a Christian, as some maverick rogue individual that's separated from the body of Christ.

God uses the local New Testament church to grow us and to guide us and to cultivate that growth and to ground us so that we can produce fruit.

Here we see that being in ministry is an active life.

It's a busy life.

And I understand activity doesn't equal accomplishment, but when you're doing it God's way, you will see great and mighty things happen.

You will see results.

And I see, number one, if you're taking notes, I see Jesus taking care of the team.

And if you're gonna do God's work God's way, I want you to notice that he takes care of his team.

And now you might think, oh, he has a team?

Yeah.

Jesus is the ultimate team builder.

He think about this: God puts us in families, God puts us in churches, God binds us together because he knows that we're gonna produce more together.

Some of us have deficiencies in some areas and strengths in other areas.

And when we co-labor together and we don't compete with one another, but we're collaborating and working together, it builds chemistry so that we can grow and advance and do something greater than we could on our own.

Because God is leading us.

And I see that Jesus He takes care of his team, He He gives them special treatment, He He gives them extra attention, He facilitates their well-being and their growth.

They just got done.

Think about this.

They got word before this in Mark chapter 6 that John they had preached and taught and had effective ministry.

Then they find out that John the Baptist was beheaded, they're a little bit like maybe like worn out a bit, and God says, Jesus says, Come apart a little while and rest.

They get out there and more people show up.

And it's more ministry.

And we see that Jesus says, Hey, let's take care of them too.

And so they're ministering and they're feeding, and and you'll notice that after they get done feeding everybody, Jesus tells his team, he tells the disciples, hey guys, let's get into the into the boat.

You guys get in the boat.

Uh what about all the people, Master?

I'll take care of the people.

You guys just go.

See, sometimes it's not just the people trying to protect and shield the master.

Sometimes it's the master, the teacher, the leader saying, Hey, I got this.

You you go.

How many of daddies out there?

How many mamas out there when you when when it's like, okay, I know that you're tired, hey, I got this.

You go.

I'm gonna separate you out.

How many of you bosses out there, you see your employees, and you're like, hey, I know that you've overworked, you're stressed out, hey, it's time to stop, it's time to go home, you go.

I got this.

See, the strong should take care of the weak and not to please themselves.

That's what it says in Romans chapter 15.

You think about Jesus.

Jesus came because you and I were weak, and he uses his strength to help us, to perfect that which is weak inside of us with his grace and his goodness.

And I see here that Jesus is taking care of his team.

He says, You guys go, I got this.

And he sends them away, constrains them to get into the ship and to go to the other side.

Question, how good are you right now at taking care of your team?

Taking care of your family, taking care of your coworkers, taking care of the people that you do ministry together with.

See, because if it's all about you, you're not like Jesus.

But if it's all about, hey, let me take, let me help you here.

Can I enter in?

Let me be a blessing to you.

See, this is when you go from selfishness to spiritual significance, when you unlock from selfishness and you realize, you know, I must die to self, I must decrease so that he can increase, and I want to take care of you.

How is your day?

How are you doing?

I see you.

I'm convinced that a lot of times we walk around and we don't see.

We don't see people.

It's hey, how are you doing?

It's a high five, but it's not like, hey, I see you, I see what you're going through.

I see you're going through trials and struggles and stresses, and I see you got, Mama, I see you got the babies on you all day long, and you just, I see you.

Hey, why don't you go away a little bit and just take care of yourself?

I I got these kids, I got this work, I got this ministry.

And some of us who are tied into the savior syndrome where we feel like we have to have it, it's it's gonna fall apart if we're not there, you do yourself a disservice by trying to be everything to everybody always.

You're not the savior, you don't hold it all together.

If God gives you the opportunity to get a little bit of a break and to separate out while he takes care of the the business of people, let him help you.

Take that break.

Even right now, I know who I'm talking to.

Some of you are stressed, you're overwhelmed.

I want to tell you, Jesus loves you.

He doesn't want you to run yourself ragged and and stress yourself out all day long.

And we who are spiritual, we need to look and see people, not just be selfish all day.

We need to be like, hey, let me help.

I got this.

And that's why sometimes you'll hear me advocate, hey, take a weekend off.

Go get a break.

Take a day off.

Hey, okay, I know we got this going on, but guess what?

The church is gonna go on.

Y'all know that, right?

Um, hey, the business is gonna go on.

Let's get you built back up.

And when you do this for your family, when you do this for your team, when you do this for your coworkers and the people you work with, they will realize that you love them.

And it's not just about their their performance.

No, it's about them as an individual.

It's about you valuing them and seeing them and caring for them.

And you're not here just to use people and take care of people and just take what you can get.

No.

I want to be like Jesus.

How many of y'all want to be like Jesus?

Man, I want to love like Jesus and walk like Jesus and care like Jesus.

That means I need to.

Sometimes I need to be the one that says, hey, um, you guys go, I'll take care of this.

I'll take care of the extra hours.

I'll grind a little longer.

I'll take a few extra jobs to try to do this.

You just, you recover a bit.

Jesus is taking care of his team, he's facilitating their well-being.

I got to thinking about John.

Remember what John said?

He says, uh, beloved, I wish above all else that thou wouldest prosper and be in health.

You should want the people in your life, in your family, in your church to prosper.

Are you guys listening?

Not just lip service, but I want you to succeed.

I want you to do well, I want you to get built up.

I want the blessing of the Lord to be all over your life.

When the people you serve next to in your family, your business, your church, your baseball team, or your sports team or your classmates, when they feel that heart flowing from you, what do you think is gonna happen inside of them?

Do you think that they're gonna be drawn closer to you?

Of course they are.

Because they're gonna realize, hey, you actually care about them.

You wanna see them built up.

And when they come back after their little break and after you poured love and care and attention into them, let me ask you a question.

Do you think they're gonna serve better?

Yes.

Do you think they're gonna appreciate and respect the kind of leader you are and want to give more?

Yes.

Yes, yes.

And when I look at Jesus, I see that he takes care of his team.

But I also see this.

This is a sub point, it's not number two, okay?

Just want to make sure you're ready.

I only have three points.

But I can give a whole lot more.

Watch this.

After he sends the disciples away onto a boat and he takes care of the needs of the people, notice he doesn't rush right back to be with his disciples.

Look what he does here.

The Bible says this in verse 46, and when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to what?

Okay, now, question.

How many of you, you go from appointment to appointment, and you never stop to pray?

It's like you feel like you're running ragged.

You feel like you're like a chicken with your head cut off, and you're you're here, and then you're here, and then you're you're a mom, and then you're a wife, and then you're a worker, and then you're you're over here, you're a dad, and then you're a you're a boss, and then you're an employee, and then you're over here in work and in ministry, and you just go boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, and you're like a ping-pong ball.

And by the end of the day, you are completely empty.

And that may work for a day or two or three, but here's what happens if you don't learn to walk like Jesus and pray like Jesus.

You will exhaust all of your spiritual, emotional, and mental energy.

You will run your vehicle and vessel into the ground because you didn't take the time to take care of yourself.

This is why I don't feel bad at all.

I don't feel bad the least, nothing, when I'm going to prayer, when I'm going to connect with God.

People will be ringing me and buzzing me, and I love everybody, but more than I love being with everybody, I love being with God.

And if I'm gonna serve you effectively, I must receive closeness and energy and encouragement from my master.

Question Do you have a place that you go to pray?

Do you have a habit in your life where instead of going from ministry to business to family, ministry to business to family over and over again, do you have energy filling stations where you plug in to God?

If you don't, put that in your lifestyle.

Jesus had a mountain.

He would go to a desert, he would get up early.

Hey, some of you, I get it.

You have to work all day long, then you got family at night.

You gotta figure out something to where you either get up earlier and spend time with God.

And listen, laying in the bed, you know how that is sometimes you just lay in the bed.

You say you're praying, but really your eyes are just closed.

And then when your spouse or your kids shake you, in Jesus' name, amen.

Listen, every habit needs a home.

Every habit needs a home.

Your bed, that's the home of sleeping and other things.

Amen.

If you're married.

You must and should seek after a proper place for the habit of prayer.

That's why in church, you're sitting in your seat.

Week after week, I encourage you to get out of your seat, right?

Come forward and kneel at an altar.

Go to the side and kneel.

Why?

Because I'm trying to get your mind and your heart and your physiology to change body posture because every habit needs a home.

Like when it's time for prayer, and I'm not saying you shouldn't be praying without ceasing, because you should always be talking with Jesus, but you should have a place that you go where it's like, no, this is my sole intention.

I'm going here to pray and to meet with God.

And so if you don't have a spot where you get away, find one today.

Like last night, I'll give you an example.

Last night, I'm watching a little bit of UFC.

Don't hate on me.

I love fighting.

I just love it.

I love every bit of it.

Blessed be the Lord God with teacheth my fingers to fight and my hands to war.

I just love all of it, okay?

But in between those fights, I was relaxing at home a little bit.

I was thinking, you gotta pray, Jason.

You gotta pray.

And I remembered what did Jesus say about prayer in Matthew chapter 6?

He said, Enter into your closet.

And I understand not everybody has a big enough closet to enter into.

But I do.

Thank you, Jesus.

I slip away from the fights.

There's people out there.

No one's got friends over, we got family over, and it was all impromptu because he's he's flying away right now, going back to Texas to finish his last semester of college, and everybody's enjoying themselves, but I must pray.

And so I would slip over into the closet and I would get on my knees, I'd turn off the lights, and I'd get up where the stool is.

I took my wife's stool.

It's like her little, what do you call that thing, sweetheart?

Yeah.

It's like a little vanity stool.

I just took it from it because I needed it, right?

And so, and and so I put my my my arms down and I shut the door and I turn off the lights and I began to pray out loud.

I'm telling you.

I did I did it for about, I don't know, it wasn't long, two, three minutes.

Out loud.

I I sensed the Lord, shared my burdens.

I go, I get done, come back out, next fight's on.

Yeah, let's go, baby.

Come on.

And it was war, man.

These two dudes are just going at it.

And I'm like enjoying it, fellowshipping.

But God has my heart, he has preeminence in my life.

So I can enjoy some of these things, but He my loyalty is to him.

And I also know I've got preaching coming up.

But something special happened the next time I went back into my prayer closet.

Next fight, that fight's over.

I come back into my prayer closet, I get down, and I just start saying, God, please bless tomorrow.

Bless the people.

They're all coming from different walks of life and different backgrounds, and they gotta they gotta hear from you, they gotta know you, they gotta please let me die to self so that you can speak to them.

And and I'm praying over the text.

Lord, I don't know what to say about the text.

And what do you want to say here, God?

Please just just open it up.

And as I'm in that prayer closet, talking with God, thinking through the text, the Holy Spirit just starts opening up the text to me.

And before you know it, the connections are being made.

Where I'm like, oh, okay, so that's what you were doing.

And so I come out of that prayer closet and I and I and he gave me this insight.

Point number two, write this down.

Train your team.

Train your team.

You say, What do you mean?

Well, I was asking him, I was like, Master, okay, what were you doing here?

I get you were taking care of yourself and sending them away, making sure you're taking care of them.

But like you you put them in a boat to go through a trial.

And he's yes.

And I was I was just talking to him, he's like, I'm training them.

What do you mean you're training them?

Well, they're gonna go through a lot of pain and hardship and trials and setbacks, and they're gonna go from mountaintop moments to valleys, and I've got to develop them on how to how to walk through trials.

And their hearts are gonna think I don't love them, and they're gonna forget the miracles that I did in the past if I don't develop an understanding inside of them.

And so I'm training them.

I was like, oh, okay, so you're training your team, yeah.

And so look what happens.

He puts them in the boat, and notice what happens here.

He's he's on the land, verse 48, it says, And he saw them toiling and rowing.

For the wind was contrary unto them, and about the fourth watch of the night.

That's like almost in the morning, right?

Like it's late, it's early.

They've been out there for a while.

And he's walking on the sea, and it says, and he would have passed by them.

They're freaking out.

Now, I got this thought from the Lord as I'm reading this.

He's like, Notice this.

I didn't deliver them right away.

I needed them and wanted them to struggle.

Question: how many of you mamas out there?

When the baby cries, when the toddler falls, it's very hard for you to resist the urge to rush right in and to be their savior.

We always taught our kids when they fell, when they fell when they were young, we didn't react.

We didn't react.

Some parents go, oh no, are you okay?

No, we like, you're fine.

It's how we trained them.

You're fine.

It's gonna be okay, you're gonna get up.

Life is gonna be painful, we're not gonna coddle you, you're gonna need to get up.

We love you, we're here for you, but we're not gonna rush to the rescue and pamper you and make you feel, we're not gonna develop this weakness inside of you.

We're gonna call out strength.

And so I got to thinking about this now.

As the kids get older, when they're in school, high school, and college, when they fall or something falls apart, we don't rush in, oh, you poor baby, the teacher's so bad or the coach is so bad.

No.

No.

You're fine.

You need to endure some struggle.

We're not gonna deliver you right away just because it's hard.

What are we doing?

We're training.

We're training them.

And if you always rush in and bail your family out, your staff out, your coworkers out, here's what they never learn to do they never learn to develop their spiritual muscles, they never learn to develop their mental muscles.

That's why you think about baby uh birds when they're coming out.

They say don't um don't break open the egg.

The little baby bird has to.

Has to break it with its own strength.

Because if you fast forward that process and you're trying because you're trying to help, you have a big heart, but you don't have any intelligence realizing what God's design is, you're actually robbing that creature of developing the strength it needs to break the shell to go to the next level.

And so perhaps you got somebody on your team right now, your family, your ministry, and you see them struggling.

Change your mind here for a second.

From struggle is bad to struggle is good.

Struggle is good.

Struggle develops your walk with God.

It helps you lean on Him, it helps you develop some strength, it encourages you.

That's why if you train your mind and your body to do hard things, you're gonna be light years ahead of everybody else.

If you do the difficult, your life will become easier.

But if you're always looking for the comfort and you're seeking comfort, you're gonna be a very weak, wimpy person.

And you're gonna quit rather easily.

And so when I look here, I see Jesus, okay.

I thought you said, preacher, he was giving them a break.

Yes, for a little season.

A little season.

See, some of you think, oh, well, I walk with God and Jesus is giving me a break.

It's not forever.

It's not forever.

Just because you get like, you got one day rest or you got six hours rest, it's not forever.

Get rid of this thought that one day you're gonna retire and you're gonna be happy when you retire.

You know what happens when people retire?

They die.

If they don't find something purposeful to do.

Right?

See, we think, oh, I'm gonna be happy one day when I stop struggling.

No, no, no, no, no.

Struggle is how you grow with God.

Struggle is how you wrestle with God all night, Jacob, and God changes your name to Israel.

Struggle is good.

Resistance is good, rejection is good.

All of it is used to develop you and to sift out and sift off the dross and cause you to lean on God a little bit more.

Woo! Now we're preaching, aren't we?

I'm just trying to change your mind a little bit.

So he puts them in the boat, and the Bible says he would have walked on by until they really started freaking out.

And how many of y'all mamas know there's a difference between eh, eh, to like there's a difference between like emergency and a real legitimate emergency.

And we understand this.

Listen, not every everyone else's emergency constitutes your immediate obligation and attention right there.

That's why these devices, so many times, they they drive us crazy.

They're such a blessing because we can get a hold of people, but not every text emergency is an emergency you need to jump to right away.

And I'm not advocating a lack of communication.

I'm not saying you be a jerk and don't communicate with people because you won't have any friendships or relationships and people won't work with you.

But I am saying not every email, message, and offer is an obligation for you to have your immediate all-in attention on right away.

And we've got to build this resistance and the ability to say, no, I'm not gonna jump in right away.

I'm gonna be more like Jesus.

Remember when Lazarus died and they came to him in John, what was it, John chapter 11?

John 11 · chapter mention

Hey, Lord, the guy that you love, guess what?

He's dead, he's dying.

He's gonna die, and he's like, oh, okay, that's great.

What's he do?

Wait four more days.

Doesn't do anything.

See, this is why it's so important we read our Bible.

And we don't just take our cues on what to do from the business culture and from worldly people.

We need to look at the Bible and learn from the master.

It is perfectly acceptable for you to wait some time and not jump when somebody jingles the bell all the time.

Okay, I get it.

You're having financial troubles, I get it, you're having physical troubles, I get, you're having relational troubles.

I see trouble, trouble.

Guess what?

Everybody's got trouble.

Here's what you've got to do.

You've got to back up and say, Okay, Master, how do you want me to deal with this trouble, this struggle, this trauma?

Is this for me?

Is this for them?

And then once you find out, okay, it's for them, but I want you to help.

Okay, then the next question is this Master, Lord, now that I know that you want me to help, when do you want me to help?

See, it's not just what to do, it's when to do it.

Timing is very, very important.

And this means it's not just about getting the answer of what to do from God.

It's okay, now I know what to do, but Lord, I don't want to just run off and do it without you.

So will you guide me on when you want me to step in and how much you want me to step in?

Can you see it?

You're staying right there with Jesus, working the problem, not by yourself, but with him.

And this is now it went from training the disciples, listen to this, to training you.

See, when I work with you, I'm training you.

But when I work with you, he's training me.

Because you're not the Lord of my life.

He is.

Now you're a tool that God is gonna use to cultivate growth inside of me, and I'm a tool that he's gonna use to cultivate growth inside of you.

But ultimately, he's our master.

And here's where problems happen.

When you think I'm your master and you think and I think you're my master, now we have problems.

Because now we develop savior complexes and we develop all kinds of manipulation, and it falls apart.

So we've got to back up and say, okay, what are you doing?

He's training his team.

Question How many of you guys are being trained right now?

You're going through the master's training process.

It's a blessing.

And so let me say this to you: don't always bail people out right away.

But then when it's time, give the gift of your presence, give the gift of hope and encouragement.

Hey, hey guys, it's me.

Don't be afraid.

I'm with you.

I get it's crazy on the water, I get this is all happening, but I'm with you.

And he he walks them through.

Now, the scripture says this.

They forgot the miracle of the loaves.

What did it say?

Why?

The hardness of their heart.

Question, question.

Stay with me.

I see some of you yawning.

Just take a few big deep breaths.

Don't worry, I got a lot of oxygen in my brain now.

The hardness of heart.

What causes the hardness of heart?

Fear.

They feel they're afraid they're gonna die.

What else?

They think God doesn't care about them.

They think that God sent them into trial to destroy them.

So all of those factors cripple the heart and quench the soul on the true identity of God.

Because the circumstances begin to choke out the good seed.

And they forget.

Let me say this to you.

Don't you let what you're going through right now cause you to forget what God did in your life in the past?

He's done a lot of miracles in your life.

Hasn't he?

Come on, talk to me a little bit.

Hasn't he answered your prayers?

Hasn't he blessed your life?

Hasn't he showed up over and over again?

Yes.

So don't let what you're going through right now cause you to forget those things.

And realize this: He's the same God yesterday, today, and forever.

He's still good.

Amen.

He's still a great God.

He's still wonderful.

He's still showing up.

Now, when he shows up, he may not do everything you want him to do, but at least he's there.

Amen.

Write this down, number three, and I'll wrap it up.

And I actually think this is probably one of the biggest points for having a great team.

Triumph together with your team.

See, churches that never see souls saved, those are terrible churches.

Businesses that don't make any money, those are terrible businesses.

You say, why?

Because if you have a team, there should be wins, there should be accomplishments, there should be profits, there should be increase, there should be fruit.

Listen, it is terrible to be on a team or a family or a church or a business and not see any results.

You need results.

It's the feedback that comes back to you that says, hey, you're doing a good job.

I'm pleased with you.

There's some fruit, there's some increase.

If you're constantly doing the same thing over and over again, and you never see people saved, and you never see your marriage increase, and you never see the church grow and you never see the business increase, there's something wrong.

Don't buy the lie that, well, we just need to be faithful, faithful, faithful.

Listen, if your faithfulness does not lead to fruitfulness, there is a problem.

There should be change that takes place.

And if you buy the lie that says, Well, I'm at least, praise the Lord, I'm faithful, okay.

Listen, there's a lot of marriages, they're faithful to each other, to their vow.

Guess what?

They went from lovers to partners that just sleep in the same bed.

There's a lot of churches, well, I'm faithful to church.

You're faithful to going to the building, but how are you doing it bearing fruit and helping one another?

Just because you're in the same place and you're faithful, if you're not seeing any fruit there, you better step back and say, What's the issue?

Because I know this, I love to win.

I love to see results.

I'm not gonna sit back and pretend and pat myself on the back and say, okay, you're doing well when I do not see any victories in my life.

Now, some of you guys, you've gotten so satisfied with not seeing any victories.

You see no victory, you don't ever lead a soul to Christ, you don't ever ever see any increase in your finances, you don't ever see any increase in your marriage or your family, and you just think that's how it's supposed to be.

It's not supposed to be that way.

You're supposed to see increase, you're supposed to see increase.

He said, Call unto me, and I will answer thee and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not.

The reason why some people walk around defeated and disappointed and disgruntled is because they're not seeing any results.

You could pray all day long, but thou don't put any money in the bank account.

There's got to be a connection from the eternal to the temporal, from the God of glory that transcends into your vessel and leads you to action that produces change.

You say, What is that?

Winning.

Results, deliverance.

Bible says this.

They got to the other side of the seashore, and immediately, look what it says in 55.

They ran through the whole region round about and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, and those that uh they they heard he was there, and whithersoever he entered into the villages, the cities, the country, they laid the sick in the streets and besought him that they might touch him if it were but the border of his garment.

And as many as were touched, what's it say?

Does that look like results?

See, there's some Christians they think, oh, you're just a pragmatist.

Okay, well, you're just a loser that doesn't ever see any people have blessings in their life.

So which one do you want?

You're gonna call me names, I'll call you names.

That's not gonna go anywhere.

Jesus said this, by their fruits ye shall know them.

And so, one of the things that encourages me, like when I saw Angel get baptized uh saved last week, I was like, yes.

Yes.

When I when I see people come into our church, and I and I it's results.

It's it's a it's a measure of, it's like when I'm bowling.

You ever go bowling and you throw a gutter ball, you're like, stinker, you're terrible, right?

Look at the lines, lift the leg, follow through, right?

You're giving yourself all those instructions, right?

And then when it hits the pocket, it swings out and comes back in, bam! And it's like Royal Rumble, and all ten pins fly everywhere, and you get a strike, you're like, yes, it fires you up.

Feedback.

When you start seeing results in your life, all of a sudden you're having great dates with your spouse, you're having wonderful uh dates with your children, you're starting to see business projects come together, you're starting to see contracts, you're starting to see a little bit more money flowing in so you can give a little bit more out to missions, you're starting to see your ministry, you're starting to see people in your in your church, in your congregation, in your team, they're thriving and they're growing and they're increasing.

When you start feeling and experiencing those wins, what do you think is gonna happen in your heart?

It's gonna fire you up.

And so, for some of you, here's what you need.

You need to get some wins.

You need to get some wins.

You start getting, and I here's what I say to you get some small wins.

Very first thing in the morning, I'm a winner, amen.

I was born again a winner, and I'm I win right away.

All I do is win, baby.

Come on.

But here's what I learned.

Some of you who walk around defeated, depressed, angry, upset, it's a it's a mental issue that you're having.

You've grooved the wrong issue, little things inside your brain.

So you need right from the beginning of the morning to get little wins, right?

Little victories.

Oh, I prayed, I read, I worked out, I ate well, I wrote, I and you start developing these little winds.

And if you start building momentum in the little winds throughout the rest of the day, before you know it, you're gonna be like the little engine that could you're gonna be thumping and going forward all day long because you've been developing good mental winds, spiritual winds.

Then when you have an obstacle, somebody, and by the way, you're gonna come across some eeores out there.

Everything's messed up, everything's a problem.

Listen, good for you.

I'm going around you, friend, I'm not hanging out with you all day long.

Because you're gonna be like the Sith Lord and steal all my energy.

You're a you're a you're an energy vampire just gonna sit around and do nothing all day long.

I'm trying to win souls to Christ.

I'm trying to see God do great and mighty things, I'm trying to use faith.

And here's what happens when you develop all those little wins, it develops momentum.

And that momentum, all of a sudden you're like a train.

When you get a train going with some momentum in their life, this is why winners start winning more.

Because they're developing momentum.

And if you take a train and you have and you have no momentum and you put a little block in front of it with no momentum, it's not gonna go anywhere.

Because there's a small stumbling block.

But if you remove that stumbling block and you start going and moving and and flowing and you're developing momentum in Christ and you're thinking well and you're going, there could be a five five foot thick concrete wall because you got momentum.

Boom! You're gonna bust right through that sucker because you developed some good spiritual momentum.

Now you want to know how to really generate a lot of momentum.

I'm gonna give you this and I'll be finished.

Praying and fasting.

You want to start seeing some major power in your life.

Start starving the flesh and start saying, God, at breakfast time, at lunchtime, at dinner time, instead of me going and eating, God, I'm gonna go ahead and build up my spiritual power with you, God.

And I'm gonna ask you to empower me and empower my ministry and empower the church and use me, help me, Father, in these areas.

And if you do that breakfast, lunch, and dinner, listen, all of a sudden you won't have a divided focus anymore.

Oh no, if you have divided focus, you have div, you have diluted results.

But if all of a sudden you take all of your energy and instead of your body going to all of your food and all the little knickknacks and everything else and all your problems, instead of all of your energy going to those other things, you're harnessing it in into one area with God, and you're spiritually developing that momentum with Him.

Then all of a sudden, when you're confronted with an obstacle, when you're confronted with a situation, a trial, a struggle, something that's stopping you, because all of your power is brought into this one area.

It's like you ever done this before?

Taking a magnifying glass with the sun's rays and harnessing all that solar energy into a magnifying glass onto something like a paper or a little ant or whatever.

Yes, oh yes, make fire.

All the only difference is this.

You're concentrating all the power into one area, and the longer you leave it in that singleness of mind and one area, the more power flows through into that thing.

This is the secret to getting out of debt.

You take all of your power and energy and you put it on that doodad that you shouldn't have had, and you put it on that credit card, and you say, I will destroy you.

You're not gonna get out of debt casually.

No, you gotta focus it.

Everything into it.

And when you do that, whether it's getting out of debt or cutting off the love handles, right?

And you focus it into that one area, you start developing spiritual power.

Oh I saw there's very few people that understand and do this.

But let it be you.

And it doesn't have to be showboat, it doesn't have to manifest like everybody else.

You don't have to be me, and I can't be you.

But if you can understand these principles of singleness of heart and momentum on what God wants, and you use prayer and fasting for it, you're gonna see results.

All of a sudden, the stuff that the walls that you used to hit that you couldn't get past, you will smoke those suckers.

There's no way that you're gonna be held back any longer with that type of channel power and concentration.

Amen.

That's what I see with Jesus.
