  3. all over the Philippines. We hope that this podcast finds

  4. you in good shape. And now here's your message.

  5. All right, let's go to Luke chapter four once again,

  6. so we continue and looking at the tremendous truths concerning

  7. Jubilee and it's ramfications and application for us. Today tonight

  8. we want to look at Jubilee the Spear of the

  9. Lord is upon Me, and then probably starting next week,

  10. we want to break down these different aspects of what

  11. Jesus brought with Jubilee when he said he came to

  12. preach the gospel or to the poor, bring healing to

  13. the broken hearted, deliverance to the captives, recovery of sight

  14. to the blind, set at liberty them that are bruised.

  15. Those five aspects of Jubilee, We're going to take a

  16. week on each one and just really plumb that and

  17. look into that, because there's a whole lot there.

  18. More there than meets the eye.

  19. When you first read it, you think, oh yeah, but

  20. then when you really look at the application spiritually, naturally emotionally,

  21. all the ramifications of it like that the last part

  22. where he says to set free those who are downtrodden

  23. or oppressed or bruised. When you look at that, already

  24. began to study out that phrase and that wording the oppressed,

  25. the downtrodden, they're bruised, and what all and who all

  26. that encompasses, and what all it encompasses. I'm telling you

  27. every need that we face is covered in this proclamation

  28. is declaration of jubilee that Jesus pronounced, and he said,

  29. this day the scripture is fulfilled in your ears. Jubilee

  30. has come. So all the needs that we have are

  31. summed up here, and you can pray and believe with

  32. confidence for whatever you might need, if a physical healing,

  33. emotional healing, freedom from shame or rejection, or wounding or bruising,

  34. or captivity or broken heartedness, poverty, whatever the case is,

  35. you can believe and pray with faith.

  36. That you're praying in the will of God.

  37. And the scriptures clearly say if we ask anything according to.

  38. His will, he hears us.

  39. And if we know that he hears us, we know

  40. we have the petitions we desire him. First John five

  41. fourteen fifteen. So let's read verse sixteen Luke four sixteen.

  42. And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up,

  43. and as was his custom, he entered the synagogue on

  44. the Sabbath and stood up to read in the Book

  45. of the Prophet. Isaiah was handed to him, and he

  46. opened the book. He unrolled the scroll and found the

  47. place where it was written. He found the place where

  48. it was written. Now, for hundreds of years, now, pably

  49. talk a little about this next week. Hundreds of years,

  50. synagogues all over the world read the same passage, the

  51. same thing, and it's quite amazing some of the things

  52. that happen prophetically as this same passage of scripture, whatever

  53. it might be, is read around the world, and then

  54. prophetically is often fulfilled. I'll talk a little about that

  55. next week. And some of it is the passage about Jubilee,

  56. and how in nineteen seventeen, in nineteen sixty seven, fifty

  57. years later on Jubilee year, when the passage is read,

  58. things that happened prophetically in Israel and around the world.

  59. It's quite interesting. He opened the scroll, found a place

  60. where it was written, and he said in verse eighteen,

  61. the spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he

  62. has anointed me to preach the Gospel to the poor.

  63. Other translations add he sent me to heal the broken hearted.

  64. He sent me to proclaim release to the captives, and

  65. recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those

  66. who are downtrodden or oppressed or bruised. To proclaim the

  67. favorable year, the year of God's favor, the year of

  68. the free, favor and grace of God, the Jubilee year,

  69. the year of freedom, the year of release, the year

  70. of restoration and return. To proclaim the favorable year of

  71. the Lord, Jubilee. All the Jewish people understood what he

  72. was saying. Rabbis taught that that passage was referring to Jubilee.

  73. Commentators that they all agree that when he said I've

  74. come to preach the acceptable year the Lord, he was

  75. referring to Jubilee. When slaves go free, captives are relief,

  76. property is returned, and the application for us in a

  77. new time Testament is that, plus everything he just said

  78. in verse eighteen, those five things, the poor don't have

  79. to be poor anymore, the broken hearted don't have to

  80. be broken hearted anymore. The captives don't have to be

  81. captive anymore. The blind don't have to be blind anymore.

  82. The oppressed and down trodden don't have to be oppressed

  83. and down trodden anymore. I've come to bring freedom. He

  84. closed the book, gave it back to the attendant, sat down.

  85. The eyes of all the synagogue were fixed upon him,

  86. and he began to say to them. Now, Notice it

  87. says he began to say, doesn't say.

  88. He just said.

  89. This is just a summary and encapsulation of what he

  90. preached that day. He began to say, this day, this

  91. scripture is fulfilled in your hearing. And then he apparently

  92. went on and expounded it how it applied in what

  93. he said in verse eighteen and the Isaiah passage preach.

  94. It wentce, you loved to heard that sermon went, you

  95. loved to be in there. We'll get to in heaven.

  96. I believe we'll get to hear that sermon. He said today,

  97. this scripture has been fulfilled in your ears.

  98. Fulfilled? What does fulfilled mean?

  99. It's finished, it's come to pass, It's been fulfilled. It's

  100. here now. The implication was clear that commentator says Jesus

  101. was claiming to be the Messiah. Who could bring the

  102. Kingdom of God which had been promised for so long.

  103. This was revolutionary. It was the dawning of a new era,

  104. a new start, a new beginning, things being restored to

  105. their proper place, the balancing of the system. Kenneth Woost,

  106. in his translation out of the Greek, renders it today

  107. this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing and stands

  108. fulfilled as an accomplished and finished fact. It was the

  109. trumpet blast of God's jubilee into this world of misery, sin, suffering, want, oppression,

  110. and need.

  111. Hallelujah.

  112. The trumpet blast so far of God's Jubilee, God's freedom.

  113. To the world.

  114. Hallelujah. The acceptable year, the favorable year, Hallelujah. I just

  115. heard recently Jonathan Kahn, Rabbi Jonathan Kahn, and he made

  116. a statement that has caught my attention.

  117. He said, the power of the Jubilee is for your life.

  118. The power of the Jubilee is for your life.

  119. Hallelujah.

  120. So our Lord Jesus ushered in Jubilee, freedom and deliverance

  121. by declaring that the spirit of the Lord.

  122. Was upon him.

  123. And had anointed him to preach, heal, deliver and set free.

  124. Notice how this whole thing starts, He says in verse eighteen.

  125. It all begins with the spirit of the Lord is

  126. upon me because he has anointed me. The spirit of

  127. the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me.

  128. He says, I'm able to do these things because the

  129. spear of the Lord is upon me, and I'm anointed.

  130. He says, I do these things by the anointing, by.

  131. The spirit of the Lord.

  132. That was the foundation of everything that he then said.

  133. After that, and leading up to the Clamation of Jubilee,

  134. which was really a summation of verse eighteen, Jesus then

  135. commissioned his church to do the same the same thing

  136. he said that he came to do. Preach the Gospel

  137. to the poor, bring healing to the broken hearted, deliverance

  138. to the captors, recovery your side to the blind, set

  139. at liberty them there's are bruised. He then commissioned his

  140. church us to do the same thing, or the same things.

  141. If you would now you might think, how can that be?

  142. How can we do the same things because we have

  143. the same holy spirit. And Jesus said, I'm doing these

  144. things by the spear of the Lord, the spear of

  145. the Lord is upon me. We have the same Holy Spirit,

  146. and this is what we're gonna expound on tonight. And

  147. we have the same anointing. Now, none of us have

  148. the anointing in the measure that Jesus had the anointing.

  149. John three point thirty four says he had the spirit

  150. without measure. But we all have a measure of the

  151. Holy Spirit. We're all anointed. Scripture says we are anointed.

  152. We're gonna look at that tonight. So we have the

  153. same Holy Spirit. We have the same anointing in us,

  154. so we can do these same things. It's been well said.

  155. God doesn't call the equipped, he equips the called. If

  156. you're thinking, you know, well, I'm just not there yet.

  157. I'm not equipped yet, and I have to learn more.

  158. I have to grow more. I have to do more.

  159. He doesn't call the equipped, he equips the called. He

  160. takes the foolish things of the world to shame the wise,

  161. the weak things, the shame the strong. Home. Too many

  162. times we our eyes are on ourselves and think, well,

  163. I have to do more. I have to be more eloquent,

  164. or I have to learn more. I have to be

  165. more polished, or I have to be more together, or

  166. I I I know it's time. We had to look

  167. at him, him, him, Him, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. We can

  168. say the spear of the Lord is upon me.

  169. I guess I.

  170. Got noun confusion.

  171. They're a pronoun confusion.

  172. We can say the spear of the Lord is upon us,

  173. or you can say the spear of the Lord is

  174. upon me. Close your eyes and say that the Spirit

  175. of the Lord is upon me. Say it again, the

  176. spear of the Lord.

  177. Is upon me.

  178. And we can say the spirit Lord is or we are.

  179. He has anointed us, so you can say he has

  180. anointed me. Say that, close your eyes, say he has

  181. anointed me. Again, he has anointed me. Now we're not

  182. just saying that as a positive statement or affirmation. It's scripture.

  183. And I want us to delve into that tonight and

  184. look at it and build your faith in that you

  185. are not going to be, not need to be, not

  186. someday will be. You are a minister of reconciliation. That's

  187. what Tewod Corinthians five eighteen tells us that we are

  188. his ambassadors. So an ambassador speaks for the ones who

  189. sent him and also has the delegated authority, and it

  190. says we are ministers of reconciliation. Close your eyes and

  191. say I am a minister of reconciliation. Say that I

  192. am a minister of reconciliation. Again, close your eyes, I

  193. am a minister of reconciliation. Now put that together. Say

  194. the spirit of the Lord is upon me. He has

  195. anointed me, and I am a minister of reconciliation. And

  196. before you think, well, how can I do that, or

  197. fear tries to get in there inadequacy or or insufficiency,

  198. or that it's not based on us, It's based on him.

  199. Remember Jesus said, I do nothing of myself. The Father

  200. who in dwells me he does the works, because flipping

  201. through he emptied himself the divine kenosis. He emptied himself

  202. of his those divine attributes and his glory. He came

  203. as a man anointed by the spirit of God. What

  204. he did he didn't do as God. He did it

  205. as a man anointed by the spirit of God. That

  206. has to be the case, or he could not have

  207. then said to us, the works that I do, you'll

  208. do Also John fourteen twelve. If he did it all

  209. by God, by being divined and we couldn't do it.

  210. But he said, no, you do the same thing. And

  211. if he did it by being divined, he wouldn't have

  212. said I can't do anything of myself.

  213. He said, I only.

  214. Do what the Father tells me, what the Father shows me,

  215. and the things I do, I do by the Father.

  216. And that's us.

  217. Where are to do what the father tells us, what

  218. the father shows us, what a father tells us. You're

  219. in the grocery store, out in the marketplace, you're in

  220. a parkison, the father shows you something, The father tells

  221. you something, the Father gives you something to say. Just

  222. do it, even if there's fear, intrepidation. It'll be blessed.

  223. If it's God. Now it's important to make sure it's God.

  224. Some people get half cocked. But if your heart's are

  225. right and you're seeking God and you're spending time with Him,

  226. as we've been talking about on Sunday mornings, if you're

  227. spending time with God on a consistent, regular basis, fellowshipping

  228. with him, drawing nearer to him, you'll hear his voice.

  229. Jesus had my sheep hear my voice, my sheep, hear

  230. my voice, The voice of a stranger, they will not

  231. listen to you. Are his sheep. Here is our shepherd.

  232. We hear his voice, So say that I'm his sheep.

  233. I clearly and accurately.

  234. Hear his voice.

  235. Amen. All right, So let's look at these three vital points.

  236. Number one, we have the same Holy spirit. We have

  237. the same Jesus said. The spirit of the Lord is

  238. upon me. So the first thing we want to look

  239. at is we have the same holy spirit. Look at

  240. John fourteen. John fourteen, Jesus did this these works of jubilee,

  241. by the power of the Holy Spirit. We have the

  242. same Holy Spirit. See, these jubilee truths and freedoms are

  243. not just for us, but they're for us to take

  244. to others, to minister to others. God forbid we it

  245. selfish and just think all it's all about what I

  246. can get. John fourteen, Verse sixteen. Jesus said, and I

  247. will ask the Father, and he will give you another helper,

  248. that he may be with you forever. That is the

  249. spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it

  250. does not behold him or know him.

  251. But you know him.

  252. Because he abides with you and shall be in you. Now,

  253. is that a different Holy Spirit than the Holy Spirit

  254. that Jesus said, the spirit the Lord is upon me.

  255. Are there more than one Holy Spirit? Are there multiple?

  256. No?

  257. Jesus haid, the Spirit of the Lord is upon me,

  258. And Jesus said, I'm giving you the Spirit, and he.

  259. Will be with you and in you.

  260. So we have the same holy Spirit that empowered and

  261. enabled Jesus in his earthly ministry and walk. We have

  262. the same holy Spirit. Look at John fifteen, verse twenty six.

  263. John fifteen, twenty six. When the helper comes, and there's

  264. various translations render this word differently. Helper comforter, counselor those

  265. are the more common ones. But I do kind of

  266. like the idea of the helper. He's here to help us,

  267. help us do what God's calling us to do, what

  268. God wants us to do. We're not alone. We have

  269. a helper. Hallelujah. The Holy Ghost advantage. Notice he says,

  270. when the helper comes, whom I will send you from

  271. the Father, that is the spirit of truth who proceeds

  272. from the Father. He will bear witness of me, and

  273. you will bear witness also because you've been with me

  274. me from the beginning. Same Holy Spirit, not a different

  275. Holy Spirit, same Holy Spirit, John sixteen, verse thirteen. But

  276. when he the Spirit of Truth, same spirit, comes, he

  277. will guide you into all truth. For he will not

  278. speak on his own initiative. But whatever he hears, he

  279. will speak, and he will disclose to you what is

  280. to come. And he shall glorify me. For he shall

  281. take of mine and shall disclose it unto you, all

  282. things that the Father has or mine. Therefore I said

  283. that he takes of mind and will disclose it unto you,

  284. the Spirit the Helper. So we have the same Holy

  285. Spirit that Jesus had to enable us to proclaim the

  286. acceptable year of the Lord Lord, to personally walk in jubilee,

  287. and to proclaim jubilee, to preach it, to minister it

  288. to lost sign crying dying humanity. And they're out there

  289. by the multitudes. There are so many confused individuals in

  290. the earth today, even in the Church, just confused. They

  291. think it's all about feelings and themselves and what they

  292. think is right, rather what Scripture says. We need to

  293. be lights shining in a dark place. We need to

  294. be cities set on a hill. We need to be

  295. ministers of reconciliation. God wants people reconciled. We need to

  296. be ambassadors of the Lord Jesus Christ. We need to

  297. walk as an ambassador, talk as an ambassador, carry yourself

  298. as an ambassad of Jesus Christ. Go into situations recognizing

  299. the spear of the Lord is upon you, is in you.

  300. Go into situations, say Lord, what do you have? Is

  301. there something here that you want said or spoken or done?

  302. You know, we get so caught up and just going

  303. through life and just kind of rolling with the punches,

  304. so to speak. Instead of you walk into a group

  305. of people, you walk into situation, it's good just to

  306. kind of ponder and think, Okay, God, is there something

  307. here you want said or done? Rather than just well,

  308. let's go with the flow and just everything stays carnal

  309. and natural and God's not even a factor in it.

  310. I think we'd be surprised if we would just at

  311. least check in with Heaven, so to speak, more frequently,

  312. Say God, is there something here you want me to

  313. say or do?

  314. And he may not speak A and K. You may

  315. not get anything, but he might. He might.

  316. And we just need to be available. Know somebody that

  317. their husband died just recently. You may even know who

  318. I'm talking about in a tragic accident. And for a

  319. couple of days, God said, go just pray form, just

  320. pray form. And I know this individual somewhat but not

  321. real well. And I just went in and I just said.

  322. I said, they were at their workplace, and I said,

  323. just come to bring you condolences and just let you know,

  324. praying God's.

  325. Peace and strength for you.

  326. And they just kind of nod their heads and I

  327. just said without even asking, I didn't normally I would ask,

  328. but I just then put my hands on her head

  329. and I said, God, just fill it with your peace,

  330. your comfort, your strength. Set a short prayer for her,

  331. and I said amen. She just looked up at me

  332. with just gratitude and just thanksgiving and just just said

  333. thank you.

  334. You know.

  335. And I don't know what's going to come out of that,

  336. but that was something I felt God prompted me to do,

  337. and I believe that God used that. Yeah, so we

  338. need to be available in that way. We'll go to

  339. Acts chapter one. Did I tell you that or not?

  340. Acts chapter one?

  341. We have the.

  342. Same Holy Spirit. Acts chapter one, Jesus said, verse eight.

  343. But you shall receive power donemus miracle working power when

  344. the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall

  345. we'll be witnesses. You shall be witnesses. You shall receive

  346. the Spirit, and you shall be witnesses. We usually leave

  347. that part off. You know, I got the Holy Ghost.

  348. But he says, you will received the Holy Ghost, and

  349. you shall be witnesses. You will witness of God, witness

  350. of Jesus in Jerusalem, your hometown, Judea, your county, Samaria,

  351. the parts where you're maybe not so welcome, and even

  352. to the uttermost parts of the earth Chapter two, verse.

  353. Four.

  354. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and

  355. began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit was

  356. giving them utterance.

  357. So we have the Holy Spirit.

  358. Now, every born again child of God has the Holy

  359. Spirit to a certain measure, to a degree, we're born

  360. of the Spirit. But there's an experience subsequent to the

  361. new birth, oftentimes referred to as the baptism of the

  362. Holy Spirit, where it's an increased anointing and increased empowerment

  363. from on high, accompanied by heavenly prayer language, a supernatural

  364. prayer language. It's been likened to the difference between taking

  365. a drink of water, being born of the Spirit and

  366. jumping in a lake, being baptized in the Holy Spirit.

  367. It's one thing to have water in you, it's another

  368. thing to be in the water. You can have the

  369. Holy Spirit in you, but doesn't mean you're in the

  370. Holy Spirit. And you can be saved and go to

  371. Heaven without the baptism the Holy Spirit, without ever speaking tongues.

  372. But it makes life a whole lot easier. It's given

  373. as a gift to give through this life as an overcomer,

  374. as victorious. The best illustration God gave me was it's

  375. like riding a bike. You can ride a bike with

  376. both tires flat and you can get where you're going,

  377. but you got a lot of self effort to do it.

  378. Or you can fully inflate the tires, which is the

  379. baptism of the Holy Spirit, and you can cruise a

  380. whole lot easier and get where you're going a whole

  381. lot faster. Why not get that air in your tires?

  382. Why not?

  383. Well, because the devil in religion has got people all

  384. freaked out about tongues, which is so stupid. I mean,

  385. all the writers of the New Testament spoken tongues. Mary

  386. the Mother of Jesus spoken tongues. Paul said, I would

  387. that you all spoke in tongues. The greatest example Christianity

  388. ever walked here at the Great Apostle. Paul said, I

  389. speak in tongues more than you all. And the church's

  390. sold organized religion has sold people to lie that it's

  391. passed away, and it's not even in the scriptures. There's

  392. no scriptural support for that at all. They extract one

  393. scripture out of one Corinthians thirteen, taken out a context

  394. to try and say, well, it's passed away now that

  395. we have the Bible, and it's not even saying that.

  396. So I encourage you move into the fullness.

  397. If you're going to.

  398. Walk in jubilee and proclaim jubilee, move into the fullness

  399. of the Holy Spirit. The tongues. The primary purpose of

  400. tongues is for your prayer life and your prayer language.

  401. To pray the mysteries of God, to pray the secrets

  402. of God, to pray for unknown things. To move out

  403. of the natural mind and reasoning into the praying by

  404. the spirit. Pray with your mind and pray with your spirit.

  405. Paul said, do both.

  406. Don't miss out on God's best. Don't let religion rob

  407. you tradition rob you okay, Acts Chapter four, verse thirty Notice,

  408. and when they had prayed Acts four point thirty one,

  409. the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and

  410. they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began.

  411. What happened is they were filled with the Holy Spirit.

  412. They began to speak the Word of God with boldness.

  413. Hallelujah.

  414. Now this was after the dead Pentecost, so they were

  415. baptized in the Holy Spirit. But they were filled again

  416. two chapters there. So there's one baptism, but there could

  417. be many fillings where you have fresh infilling of the

  418. Holy Ghost as you pray, as you seek God, fresh indument,

  419. fresh empowerment from on high. So our first vital point

  420. we have the same Holy Spirit. Now finished, Dake and

  421. his reference Bible, made an interesting note about the spirit.

  422. We'll have this on the screen. He said this, the

  423. spirit upon one indicates his moving one to do some

  424. supernatural work. Now I remember spirit was upon Jesus. The

  425. spirit is upon or in us, The spirit upon one

  426. and indicates his moving one to do some supernatural work.

  427. Not an example is given of the spirit coming upon one.

  428. Her remained powerless to do what he was called to do.

  429. What's he saying there, he's saying there's no example in

  430. the Bible of anybody receiving the spirit coming upon them,

  431. and they remained powerless to do what they were called

  432. to do. Well, how about us? The spirit is upon us,

  433. the spirit is in us. We should be walking into

  434. power to do what God's calling us to do. It's

  435. the anointing, the anointing. Jesus said, the spirit of the

  436. Lord is upon me, because He's anointed me that which

  437. is our second vital point. We have the same anointing.

  438. The same anointing is in us. The same spirit is

  439. in us or upon us. The same anointing is in us,

  440. the anointing. We have an anointing. You're there an Acts.

  441. Look at Acts ten thirty eight. Jesus did these jubilee freedoms.

  442. He ministered them, he proclaimed them by the anointing. Acts

  443. ten thirty eight. Notice you know of Jesus of Nazareth,

  444. how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with

  445. power with dunamus, and how he went about doing good

  446. and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for

  447. God was with him now right there. That just one

  448. verse shows you where sickness and disease, and oppression is

  449. from sickness and disease is oppression of the devil. It's

  450. not a blessing of God, it's oppression of the devil. Says,

  451. he went about doing good, healing all who were oppressed

  452. by the devil. Why, for God was with him. So

  453. recognize who your enemy is, recognize where sickness comes from.

  454. And Jesus did this. He went about doing good healing

  455. by the anointing God anointed him. Okay, well, you might say,

  456. well that was Jesus, Yes it was. Go to Second

  457. Corinthians chapter one. Second Corinthians chapter one. You might say, yes,

  458. I can see that Jesus was anointed. Because he was anointed,

  459. he was able to do these things. Well, how about

  460. you and me, let's read Second Corinthians chapter one. She

  461. got it, say got it?

  462. Got it all?

  463. Send Corinthians chapter one. Now, he who establishes us with

  464. you in Christ and anointed us.

  465. Is God.

  466. You are anointed. I'm anointed. He who establishes us with

  467. you in Christ and anointed us.

  468. You are anointed.

  469. Who's also sealed us and gave us the spirit in

  470. our hearts as a pledge. But notice he says you

  471. are anointed by God. Well, someone might say, yeah, but

  472. that's only one scripture, all right, go to first John

  473. chapter two. Bible says, out of mouth of two or

  474. three witnesses, let every fact be established. Let's establish it.

  475. First John chapter two, verse twenty one, John two twenty. Yes,

  476. Jesus was anointed. But what about you? What about me?

  477. One John two twenty But you say me, you have

  478. an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know

  479. you have an anointing. Say I have an anointing from

  480. the Holy One, from the Holy We got to ask

  481. ourselves what am I doing with that anointing. You have

  482. an anointing from the Holy One. He has anointed us

  483. as God. You have an anointing, one anointing from the

  484. Holy One, and you all know. Some translation says you

  485. know all things, not saying we know everything. You never

  486. have to read or study or have a teach or

  487. anything once you get the holy ghosts anointing, but saying

  488. you know what you need to know at the time

  489. you need to know it.

  490. You know the good from the evil, you know the

  491. false from the real.

  492. Because in context, there's also talking about false teachers, false prophets.

  493. When you have that anointing, the anointing will say and

  494. that's not right, or the anointing will say that's right.

  495. You have that warm, fuzzy, velvety feeling if you would.

  496. You know, you don't have to know a lot. You

  497. don't have to necessarily even study culture or something like

  498. that to know what's true and what's not. The anointing

  499. will show you know all things when it comes to

  500. what he's talking about here in context, about people that

  501. were not of the truth versus people of the truth.

  502. I remember, as a brand new Christian, I was in Ventura, California.

  503. I don't even know if I was working for teen

  504. Challenge yet at that point, but there's a college there,

  505. Ventura College, and I was a brand new committed believer.

  506. I was and still them, but was so excited about

  507. the Lord and about his word, and carried a pocket

  508. New Testament with me everywhere I went. And I remember

  509. for some reason, I was up on the campus. I

  510. wasn't going to school there. I was up there on

  511. the campus for some reason, and I sat down on

  512. a bench and got out my New Testament was reading

  513. my New Testament.

  514. Well, two.

  515. Students or seeming students. They appeared to be students. Came

  516. up to me and says, hey, man, you're reading the Bible.

  517. You're reading the Word.

  518. I said, yeah, cool.

  519. And I thought a lot's nice reaction. They said, we'd

  520. like to invite you to a Bible study. We're all

  521. about the Word. And they were just like they talked

  522. about the Word. And they invited me his Bible study.

  523. And I went to it and they had a group

  524. of about thirty people in a classroom and they had

  525. Bibles and they talk about the Word.

  526. But something inside me is just going.

  527. Something's not right here. And I didn't know enough to

  528. know anything, but the Holy Ghost was bearing witness. And

  529. then I found out that they were the Way International.

  530. I don't know if you've heard of The Way International.

  531. It's a cult.

  532. It's a cult group. They use the Bible, but they're

  533. a cult group. And I thought, thank God, he saved

  534. me from that. He you know, if I hadn't had

  535. that witness, I might just got full bore into that

  536. and said, oh man, this is the greatest thing since

  537. sliced bread. They are God.

  538. I don't know. That may be another group.

  539. There's a bunch of them out there as we know so,

  540. but they could be they could be the ones I mean.

  541. And they talked about the Word and made it sound

  542. like the Word was great, but they didn't believe basic

  543. Christian truths, all right, So look at them Verse twenty seven.

  544. And as for you, as for you, say as for me,

  545. look at your neighbor, and tell them, as for me,

  546. the anointing which I have received from Him a bide

  547. in me. So as for you, the anointing you've received

  548. abides in you. There's three witnesses right there. You have

  549. an anointing, you've received it. It abides in you, and

  550. you have no need for anyone to teach you. But

  551. as his anointing teaches you about all things and is

  552. true and is not a lie, and just as it

  553. has taught you, you abide in him. Now again, this

  554. real quick point of clarification. He's not saying that once

  555. you have the Holy Spirit, once you have the anointing,

  556. you don't need anybody to teach you anything, because that

  557. would be totally contradictory to Jesus giving to the church

  558. the ministry gift of a teacher, an apostle of prophet, evangelists,

  559. a pastor, Why would he give us those ministry gifts

  560. to teach us if we don't need anybody to teach us.

  561. Why would he inspire people to write books to teach

  562. us if we don't need anybody to teach us. He's saying,

  563. when it comes to these things, he's good and evil

  564. and knowing the truth. You don't have to check with

  565. somebody say is this right wrong? The spirit of God

  566. will bear witness. Now we need to take advantage of

  567. teachers and counselors and anointed books and different things to

  568. learn to grow. But when it push comes to shove,

  569. you've got the anointing to bear witness to teach you

  570. what you need to know. Hallelujah. So the same anointing.

  571. It wasn't at the same degree or measure of Jesus,

  572. but it's the same anointing. It's the same holy spirit

  573. that Jesus had. He said, the spirit of the Lord

  574. is upon me because He's anointed me. That same anointing

  575. is in you, same spirit, same anointing. When you have

  576. the anointing, you are divinely equipped. You are supernaturally empowered

  577. to do what you can't do on your own. You

  578. know a lot of times we sell ourselves short. We think, well,

  579. I just feel inadequate, or I lack the training, or

  580. I lack the knowledge, I lack the understanding. You can

  581. call on the anointing on your job. You might say,

  582. I just don't feel like I know what to do here.

  583. Call on the anointing.

  584. Lord.

  585. I thank you you've anointed me. Parents with their children.

  586. Sometimes it's just like, oh man, I feel like I'm

  587. in over my head. You may be call on the anointing. Lord,

  588. I thank you for the anointing. I thank you for

  589. the equipping. I thank you for the empowerment. You may

  590. be starting a new job and you think, what did

  591. I get into?

  592. Call on the anointing.

  593. You may need to make a decision or need to

  594. know what to do. You're not on your own. Lord,

  595. I thank you you have anointed me. You've equipped me,

  596. power me to do what I can't do on my own.

  597. Hallelujah.

  598. It's your secret weapon. Isaiah ten twenty seven says the

  599. yoke is destroyed because of the anointing. The burden is removed,

  600. The yoke is destroyed because of the anointing. Now, if

  601. you read that in some translations, you won't see it

  602. at all. But in the King James and the Little Translation,

  603. you'll you'll see that because it's that passage can be

  604. rendered various ways, and the translators rendered various ways. But

  605. the anointing is the yoke destroying, burden removing power of God.

  606. So any yokes that we have, any burdens that we have,

  607. can be destroyed and removed by the anointing.

  608. Hallelujah.

  609. A yoke can keep you from doing what you need

  610. to do, but they anointing will destroy it.

  611. Hallelujah.

  612. You can call on the anointing in all of life. Lord,

  613. I need your anointing. Here a new task, a new

  614. thing that you're doing, and think, oh man, this is hard,

  615. and my flesh is really struggling with this. Lord, I

  616. call on your anointing. I call on your anointing. Thank

  617. him for the anointing. So that's the second vital point.

  618. We have the same Holy Spirit, we have the same anointing.

  619. And then thirdly, Jesus commissioned his church to do the

  620. same works, the same work said he did where he said,

  621. the spirit the Lord is upon me because He's anointed

  622. me to preach the Gospel of the poor. Sent me

  623. to heal the broken hearted, preach deliverance to the captives,

  624. recovery of sight to the blind, set at liberty them

  625. that are bruised, to preach the Year of Jubilee. Jesus

  626. commissioned us to do those same things. I would encourage

  627. you to begin to make that confession over yourself on

  628. a regular basis, and there won't be any matter you

  629. start confessing it, praying it over your health. It won't

  630. be any time you won't. You have it memorized, and

  631. you just say, Lord, I thank you. The spear of

  632. the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me

  633. to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent

  634. me to heal the broken heart, to preach deliverance to

  635. the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, to set

  636. at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the Year

  637. of Jubilee, the acceptable year of the Lord. That's how

  638. the King James, and just begin to profess it over yourself.

  639. Confess over yourself, write it down on a little card. Initially,

  640. begin to speak it over yourself, Pray it over yourself,

  641. meditate it, and then you have it memorized, and then

  642. you begin to say it and speak it. So our

  643. third point, I'll close with this gee he says commissioned

  644. his church to do the same works, the same works.

  645. Look at Mark sixteen, Mark chapter sixteen. And this is

  646. another one of those passages that you know, I know

  647. the NIV, and some they tend to leave it out

  648. because some manuscripts they haven't found it in. But I've

  649. done some study on I've got a whole book in

  650. my office that thoroughly researches this passage, and they say

  651. it is authentic. And even if you say, well, I'm

  652. not so sure. Everything he says there is found in

  653. the rest of the word, so it's not contradictory to

  654. the word. It's right in line. I notice Isaiah's six

  655. or Isaiah Mark sixteen fifteen. And he said to them,

  656. go into all the world and preach the Gospel to

  657. all creation. He who has believed and has had been

  658. baptized shall be saved. But he has been has disbelieved,

  659. shall be condemned. In these signs will accompany those who

  660. have believed in my name or by my authority, they

  661. will cast out demons, or by my anointing, they will

  662. cast out demons. They will speak with new tongues.

  663. They will pick up serpents.

  664. If they drink any deadly poison, it shall not hurt them.

  665. They will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.

  666. So then when the Lord of Jesus spoken to them,

  667. he was received up into heaven and sat down at

  668. the right hand of God. And they went out and

  669. preached everywhere while the Lord worked with them and confirmed

  670. the word by the signs that followed.

  671. Hallelujah.

  672. That's our commission. How can we do that by the anointing,

  673. by the spirit. And when again, when it saying pick

  674. up serpents, it's saying remove serpents. Do away with serpents,

  675. which are types of demon forces, demon spirits. It's not

  676. talking about handling snakes like they do in West Virginia,

  677. but talking about removing demonic forces, removing demonic force. If

  678. they drink any deadly Notice the word poison is in

  679. italics at substitute by the translators. You drink any deadly poison,

  680. won't hurt you. I think I'm talking about false doctrine,

  681. false teaching. If you drink anything deadly, it's not going

  682. to hurt you. If you walk in that anointing. Go

  683. to John fourteen John fourteen, Verse twelve. Jesus commissioned us

  684. his church to do the same works by the same spirit,

  685. buy the same anointing to preach jubilee. To minister jubilee.

  686. John fourteen twelve. Jesus, speaking truly, truly, I say to you,

  687. he who believes in me, the works that I do,

  688. shall he do also in greater works than these shall

  689. he do. Because I go to the we are to

  690. be doing the works, the works of Jesus, the works

  691. of Jubilee. You might say, I don't think I can.

  692. You have the same holy spirit, You have the same anointing.

  693. You have the authority the commissioning last verse John fifteen

  694. four and five. John fifteen four and five. Abide in me,

  695. Jesus said, and I in you. As the branch cannot

  696. bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine,

  697. so neither can you unless you abide in me. I

  698. am the vine. You are the branches. He who abides

  699. in me and I in him, he bears much fruit.

  700. For apart from me, you can do no thing. So

  701. we do it by abiding in the vine. We do

  702. it by the power of Jesus. We have the same spirit,

  703. we have the same anointing, we have the same commission,

  704. and we can draw on that vine life. We don't

  705. have to produce the fruit. We just draw on the

  706. vine life. He's the vine where the branches. We entwine

  707. ourselves around him. We draw nearer to him, we develop

  708. that relationship with him. We abide in him, we bear

  709. much fruit. Because apart from him we can do nothing.

  710. But if we abide in him.

  711. We will bear much fruit. Hallelujah.

  712. The spear of the Lord is upon you. The anointing

  713. is in you. The authority and the commission has been

  714. given to you to minister to people who are lost, hurting, dying, signing, crying, confused, demonized,

  715. whatever the case may be, Receive that tonight. Father, in

  716. Jesus' name, We thank you for the anointing. We thank

  717. you Father for the Holy Spirit in us. We thank

  718. you for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. We thank

  719. you for our heavenly prayer language. We thank you for

  720. the authority, the commission you gave us. You said, I

  721. give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and

  722. over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall

  723. by any means hurt you, Luke tenth nineteen to twenty. Lord,

  724. I pray that each one of us walk in a

  725. greater degree, a greater measure of that authority, that anointing,

  726. Holy Spirit, that we truly will walk as your ambassadors,

  727. as your ministers of reconciliation. Use us, Lord for your glory,

  728. for your honor. Make yourself available to him. He's the vine.

  729. You're the branch. Isaiah said, here are my Lord?

  730. Send me?

  731. Remember God said, who will go for us? And Isaiah said,

  732. here am I send me? Would you say that tonight?

  733. Here am I send me? Here, my Lord send me?

  734. Hallelujah? Here am I send me? Say this with me?

  735. Father, Thank you for the Holy Spirit, Thank you for

  736. the anointing, Thank you for the commissioning. Thank you for

  737. the authority. I am an ambassador of Jesus Christ. I

  738. am a minister of reconciliation. I draw on the vine life.

  739. Without Jesus, I can do nothing. But I'm not without him.

  740. I abide in him, and I bear much fruit for

  741. the glory of God in Jesus' name. Amen, let's stand

  742. and let's sing a song in closing Hallelujah, and just

  743. let God speak to you and minister to you. Hallelujah.

  744. Well next week. Thank you for listening.
